I MADE THE APPT TO HAVE THE AIRBAG RECALL TAKEN CARE OF, AND THE DEALERSHIP MADE THE APPT FOR ME. KOLOSSO TOYOTA OF APPLETON, WI ON COLLEGE AVENUE. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK IF IT WAS DONE, THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET THEM. I HAVE A CAR WITH A DANGEROUS AIRBAG RECALL AND NO WAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING A COLD SOAK STARTUP MY 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA MAKES A VERY LOUD RATTLE NOISE WITHIN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FOR APPROXIMATELY 1-2 SECONDS. IT WILL CONSISTENTLY DO THIS UPON COLD STARTUP, AND IS A KNOWN DEFECT WITHIN THE CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR ASSEMBLY OF THE VEHICLE. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTATION FOR MORE DETAILS, INCLUDING THE $896 REPAIR QUOTED FROM THE DEALER (PAGE 2). IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS ISSUE CAN EVENTUALLY LEAD TO MORE SERIOUS ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE, AND I THINK IT IS A SHAME THAT THE DEALER DID NOT CATCH THIS EARLIER/ IS NOW QUOTING SUCH A HIGH PRICE FOR REPAIR. IT IS MY HOPE THAT SOMETHING CAN BE DONE TO MAKE TOYOTA BETTER RESPECT IT'S CUSTOMER'S SATISFACTIONS/SAFETY, AND TAKE CARE OF THIS KNOWN ISSUE AT NO COST TO IT'S CUSTOMERS.
THE AIRBAGS IN OUR 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA XRS HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED YET. GIVEN THE PROBLEM EXPERIENCED WITH TAKATA AIRBAGS, REQUEST NHSTA INTERVENETO HAVE TOYOTA DEALERS EITHER FIND A SOLUTION OR PROVIDE REPLACEMENT VEHICLES, UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.
RECEIVED NOTICE OF RECALL DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS WITH TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS, HOWEVER, HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTICED REGARDING REPLACEMENT OF AIRBAGS.
TAKATA RECALL PENDING SINCE JANUARY 2017. IT HAS BEEN 6 MONTHS AND THERE IS STILL NO RESOLUTION AND THE ESTIMATED TIME IS DECEMBER. HOW CAN THERE BE A RECALL ON AN AIRBAG WITH THE ESTIMATED DATE A YEAR LATER. YOU CAN NOT EXPECT THERE TO NEVER BE A PASSENGER IN A 4 DOOR CAR.
I OWN A TOYOTA COROLLA 2009, AND WHEN I WAS DRIVING AT 285 S. ALTANTA, GA; ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY HEAVY. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN RIGHT AT EXIT 40 AND TO CHANGE DIRECTION. JUST LIKE THE STEERING WAS LOCKED. I JUST BARELY COULD TURN INTO THE PARKING SPACE CLOSE TO THAT EXIT. I AM DRIVING THIS CAR EVERY DAY FOR ONE HOUR IN THE MORNING, AND ONE HOUR OR MORE IN THE AFTERNOON, I'M SCARE THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN WHILE I'M DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY (85 ATLANTA) OR IN A LOT OF TRAFFIC. I AM SO AFRAID OF DRIVING THIS CAR. PLEASE, HELP ME!! DO WE HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM? I THINK THAT TOYOTA COROLLA STEERING PROBLEMS MAY LEAD TO ANOTHER RECALL. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR?

TAKATA RECALL THIS IS TAKING FAR TOO LONG TO GET REPLACED. TOYOTA HAS INFORMED ME THAT THEY NEED TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG (WHICH COULD KILL ME, I LIVE IN THE SOUTH AND IT'S THE AREA MOST LIKELY TO HAVE FAULTY AIRBAGS AS I UNDERSTAND IT). I UNDERSTAND THE HUGE UNDERTAKING THIS AIRBAG RECALL INVOLVES FOR ALL CAR COMPANIES INCLUDING TOYOTA BUT AT WHAT POINT WILL THIS FAULTY DEADLY EQUIPMENT EVER BE REPLACED? A YEAR? FIVE? TAKATA RECALL- I'VE ALREADY HAD THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG REPLACED. NOW I WAS NOTIFIED SEVERAL MONTHS AGO THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG NEEDS REPAIRED. DO NOT LET ANYONE RIDE IN THAT SEAT UNTIL REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT SINCE I TRAVEL WITH FRIENDS AND HAVE TO ASK GROWN ADULTS TO RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT TO BE SAFE. HOW LONG IS MAKING A "FIX" FOR THIS AIRBAG GOING TO TAKE?? I KNOW TAKATA IS BEING SUED AND OTHER LEGAL ACTIONS ARE BEING TAKEN AGAINST THEM. I AS AN OWNER OF THIS CAR SINCE 2010 AM ANGRY. PLEASE LET OWNERS KNOW THAT SOMETHING IS AT LEAST IN THE WORKS OR SHOULD I SELL A DEFECTIVE CAR???

TAKATA AIRBAGS-THIS IS THIRD TIME THAT I AM FILLING THIS OUT. THIS WEBSITE IS DIFFICULT AND I COULD NOT CHECK ALL THE BOXES THAT I NEEDED. THIS CAR HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS. IT IS THE WORST CAR THAT I HAVE EVEN OWNED. ALL OF THE PAINT WAS PEELING OFF. I HAD TO HAVE THE ENGINE REBUILT. THE LIGHTS KEPT BLOWING OUT. I HAD AN ACCIDENT AND I HIT THE STEERING WITH MY FACE. THE AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED. I KNOCKED MYSELF OUT. I HAD FACIAL CONTUSION AND ALMOST KNOCKED MY TEETH OUT.

TAKATA RECALL. EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION [ONE QUART EVERY 1200 MILES] ENGINE TOP END HAS A VERY LOUD RATTLING NOISE LASTING ABOUT ONE TO TWO MINUTES ONLY IF CAR HAS SAT FOR A PERIOD OF MORE THAN THREE TO FIVE HOURS.
MY SUNROOF ON TOYOTA COROLLA (AFTER MARKET GLASS FROM WEBASTO COMPANY) WAS FLEW OFF ON THE FREEWAY 805 IN SAN DIEGO, AROUND 6-7PM.. I WAS SHOCKED WITH UNEXPECTED NOISE. MY SPEED WAS ABOUT 66 M/H. WHILE DRIVING THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING CAUSES CAR TO DRIFT AND LOCKING UP ON HIGHWAY

THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL TOW YARD AND THEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED IT TO THEIR LOT. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V006000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE NEVER RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION LETTER. THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED TOTALED. TAKATA RECALL. I GOT THE LETTER AND WENT TO TOYOTA MONUMENTAL IN PONCE, PUERTO RICO WHERE THEY TOOK THE CAR IN AND MADE ME SIGN PAPERS. HOWEVER, AS OF TODAY, THE RECALL REMAINS UNRESOLVED ACCORDING THE THE NHS AND TOYOTA INTERNET SITES. HENCE, I AM NOT COMFORTABLE AS TO WHETHER THEY PERFORMED THE REQUIRED REMEDY. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, ALTHOUGH I HAD MADE AN APPOINTMENT ON THE PHONE, WHEN I ARRIVED THE DEALER CLAIMED THAT I WAS NOT ON THEIR APPOINTMENT LIST. THEY TOOK MY CAR IN FOR THE SUPPOSED REMEDY, HOWEVER. ATTACHED PLEASE FIND A COPY OF THE DOCUMENT THE DEALER GAVE ME UPON RELEASE OF MY CAR.
I HAVE VISITED FORDHAM TOYOTA AT 235 WEST 154TH STREET NEW YORK, NY ON 4/21/2017; AND 5/17/2017 AND I WAS TOLD THE PART WAS ON HOLD. ON 5/11/2017 I RECEIVED A CALL AND I WAS TOLD TO RETURN ON 5/15/2017 TO INSTALL THE REQUIRED PART. MY CAR WAS KEPT IN THE DEALER UNTIL 3PM. AND THEN WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE MISSED (2) DAYS OF WORK DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. I FEEL TOYOTA IS NOT MAKING ANY EFFORT TO REMEDY THIS ISSUE, PLEASE ADVISE.

I HAD A VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON 5/11/17 OF WHICH CAUSED A PERSONAL HEAD INJURY LACERATION DUE TO NONE OF MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYING INSIDE OF MY VEHICLE WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE. IT ADVISES THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE FOR THIS BACK IN 2014 FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAGS AND THERE IS NO INFORMATION STATING THAT THIS RECALL HAD BEEN DONE ON MY VEHICLE FROM THE DEALERSHIP OR TOTAL LOSS RECORDS FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I HAVE ATTACHED 3 PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE DONE TO MY VEHICLE, AS WELL AS A PICTURE SHOWING NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYING IN THE VEHICLE. ANY INFORMATION/DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR THIS PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO ASK.

A 2009 CAR THAT WAS REGULARLY MAINTAINED (INCLUDING REGULAR OIL CHANGES) WITH LESS THAN 35,000 MILES ALLEGEDLY NEEDS A NEW DRIVE TRAIN?!?!?!?!!!!
TAKATA RECALL LETTER THAT WE RECEIVED FROM TOYOTA DIRECTED US TO STOP USING THE PASSENGER SEAT IN THE CAR DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS, AND ADVISED THAT WE WOULD RECEIVE FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS IN APRIL. IT IS NOW MAY AND WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM TOYOTA AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP ADVISES US THAT NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE FOR US. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SAFELY USE THE VEHICLE AS A FAMILY, AND WE HAVE NO IDEA WHEN OR IF WE WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE SAFELY AGAIN. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY BEING USED DAILY BY DRIVER ONLY, AND IT IS UNCLEAR WHETHER THE VEHICLE POSES A THREAT TO DRIVER'S SAFETY.
TAKATA RECALL I FIRST RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN MAY 2016. MULTIPLE CALLS TO THE AUGUSTA DEALERSHIP THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER SINCE I NEEDED MY CAR TO MAKE LONG TRAVELS WITH MY SISTER AND YOUNG NIECES - COULDN'T ALL FIT IN THE BACKSEAT TOGETHER. CONSTANTLY JUST TOLD THEY HAD NO RESOLUTION YET. WHEN ASKED WHAT I SHOULD DO, WAS JUST TOLD TO NOT HAVE ANYONE IN THE FRONT SEAT, EVEN WHEN I SAID THAT WASN'T AN OPTION. CO-WORKER WITH DIFFERENT MAKE AND MODEL, BUT AFFECTED BY SAME AIR BAG RECALL HAD HERS REPLACED WITHIN DAYS LAST YEAR. I *JUST NOW* GOT MAIL STATING THAT THEY FINALLY HAVE A RESOLUTION. A FULL YEAR AFTER THE INITIAL RECALL AND WHEN OTHER CARS WITH THE SAME ISSUE WERE FIXED IS PRETTY UNACCEPTABLE. ESPECIALLY SINCE I LIVE IN THE AREA THAT IS MOST AT RISK WITH HIGH HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURES.
TAKATA RECALL TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION USA SENT ME A NOTICE FALSELY CLAIMING THAT THE PARTS TO FIX MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WERE IN STOCK. I CALLED THE DEALER ON 5/1/2017 AND TOLD THEM I WANTED TO GET THIS RECALL DONE. I TOLD THE DEALER THE MODEL AND YEAR OF MY CAR. I WAS TOLD TO BRING THE CAR IN. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE DEALER, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A PART IN STOCK THAT WAS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER FURTHER STATED THAT THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER AND THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN IT WOULD COME IN. I CALLED THE TOYOTA MOTOR CORP USA NATIONAL HOT LINE FOR THE RECALL AND ASKED WHEN THE PART(S) WOULD COME IN. THE REPRESENTATIVE DID NOT KNOW. I WAS PUT ON HOLD WHILE THE REPRESENTATIVE CALLED THE DEALER. WHEN THE REPRESENTATIVE CAME BACK ON THE LINE, SHE STATED THE SHE SPOKE TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER SAID THE PARTS(S) ORDER WAS NOT IN STOCK AT THE PLACE THAT THEY WERE SUBMITTING THE ORDER TO AND THAT HE DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PART WOULD BE DELIVERED TO THE DEALER. BECAUSE OF THE ABOVE STATEMENTS I BELIEVE THAT TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION KNOWINGLY SENT OUT A RECALL NOTICE STATING THAT THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE WHEN THEY WERE NOT IN STOCK. I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST THAT AN INVESTIGATION BE INSTIGATED TO DETERMINE HOW MANY NOTICES WERE SENT OUT TO VEHICLE OWNERS SAYING THAT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE WHEN THEIR WERE EITHER NOT ENOUGH PARTS IN STOCK TO FULFILL THE NOTICES THAT WERE SENT OUT AND OR THE PARTS WERE NOT IN STOCK AT THE TIME THE NOTICE WAS SENT.
TAKATA RECALL - RECALL HAS BEEN IN PLACE FOR 5 MONTHS THAT I AM AWARE OF. I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT TOYOTA DOES NOT HAVE A REMEDY AVAILABLE FOR THE PROBLEM OTHER THAN TO NOT USE THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT. THIS IS NOT A TERM SOLUTION. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE DEALER WHO HAS ADVISED I SHOULD WAIT FOR ANOTHER POSTCARD INSTRUCTION ME ON THE REMEDY, BUT CANNOT GIVE ME A TIME OF WHEN THAT MIGHT BE.
TAKATA RECALL IT HAS BEEN MONTHS OF BEING ABLE TO SAFELY USE THE CAR. THERE IS NO DATE OFFERED FOR A FIX. DEALERS IN 2 STATES HAVE THE SAME RESPONSE. HOW CAN THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS DELAY?

ACCORDING TO TAKATA, THE PROPELLANT IN THESE INFLATORS MAY DEGRADE AFTER PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO HIGH ABSOLUTE HUMIDITY AND FLUCTUATING HIGH TEMPERATURES. DEGRADED PROPELLANT CAN CAUSE INFLATOR RUPTURE DURING AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT." I HAVE NOT RECEVIED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT RESOLVING THIS SAFETY ISSUE
MY POWER DOORS ARE NOT WORKING AND THE MECHANISM WILL NOT EVEN LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS. SOMETIMES I CAN'T EVEN OPEN THE DOOR TO GET OUT AND IT IS SEVERE HAZARD. I CAN'T EVEN MANUALLY OPEN THEM TO GET IN OR OUT. THE MAIN ACTUATOR IS COMPLETELY BROKEN.

TAKATA RECALL OVER A MONTH AGO MY WIFE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM TOYOTA STATING THAT HER VEHICLE WAS PART OF RECALL THAT INVOLVED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. UPON READING THE LETTER IT STATED "UNTIL THE REMEDY BECOMES AVAILABLE, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WHILE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT." THAT REALLY SOUNDS LIKE A SHORT TERM FIX. SO MY WIFE CALLED EAST COAST TOYOTA THAT DAY AND EXPLAINED TO THE DEALER ABOUT THE RECALL NOTICE, THEY TOLD HER THAT A REMEDY WAS AVAILABLE AND MADE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR 4/18/17 @ 12:30PM. WHEN SHE ARRIVED THEY SAID THAT THERE WASN'T A FIX AND DIDN'T OFFER AN APOLOGY FOR THE HUGE INCONVENIENCE. AT THE DEALER SHE WAS TOLD THAT A FIX WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN JUNE 2017 AND THAT SHE NEEDED TO CALL THE 1800 NUMBER ON THE RECALL NOTICE.. AFTER HEARING ABOUT HER JOURNEY I WAS UPSET SO I DECIDED TO CALL 1-888-270-9371. THE REP JULIA LISA SAID THAT A REMEDY WOULDN'T BE READY UNTIL DECEMBER 2017. I ALSO ASKED WHAT TOYOTA WAS OFFERING ITS CUSTOMERS IN THE MEAN TIME BECAUSE THE SHORT TIENE FIX WAS NOW A LONG TERM. SHE STATED THAT WE COULD ASK THE DEALER FOR A "LOANER CAR." WE REALLY NEED THIS CAR TO TRANSPORT OUR FAMILY AROUND. PLEASE HELP.
