THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ALMOST A YEAR & AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WITH THE LOCAL FORT MYERS TOYOTA, I STILL HAVE NOT HAD ANY SATISFACTION IN CORRECTING THE PROBLEM. I CAN'T CONTINUE TO HELP CARE FOR 2 ELDERLY ADULTS WITHOUT USING MY CAR. I HAVE TO USE THEIR VEHICLE, WHICH IS DIFFICULT WHEN YOU TRY TO SCHEDULE SEVERAL DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS & OTHER APPOINTMENTS THAT ARE NECESSARY. I HAVE REALLY TRIED TO BE PATIENT BUT IT'S GETTING HARDER & HARDER TO FULFILL MY OBLIGATION. PLEASE HELP ME GET THIS RESOLVED. THANK YOU

SO WHEN WE GO SOMEWHERE, I HAVE TO RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT OR IF I HAVE FRIENDS, WE HAVE TO TAKE THEIR CAR. THE DEALERS CAN NOT NOR WILL NOT OFFER ANY RECOURSE. I FOUND OUT THAT OVER 23 MILLION CARS ARE AFFECTED BY THIS. THE QUESTION IS: WHERE DO WE FALL IN THIS NUMBER FOR REPAIR. WE ARE TRAPPED WITH THESE CARS. TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT THE TAKATA AIRBAGS ON MAY 23, 2016. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR AND THE REMEDY IS STILL NOT READY. MY VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN IN A CRASH YET.

TAKATA RECALL ZONE A - G0P (INTERIM G1P) RED ZONE. NHTSA RECALL NO. 16V-340. I RECEIVED A TAKATA PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE A YEAR AGO MAY 2016 WHEN I STILL LIVED IN ZONE A FLORIDA. TOYOTA SAYS IT STILL HASN'T FOUND A REMEDY, WHATEVER THAT MEANS, AND KEEPS TELLING ME I CAN BUY A NEW CAR. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, I HAVE SOME THOUGHTS ON WHAT TOYOTA CAN DO. NEWSPAPERS KEEP REPORTING THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVEN'T TAKEN THEIR VEHICLES IN FOR TAKATA RECALL REPAIRS. I BELIEVE THE REAL PROBLEM IS THAT TOYOTA IS DRAGGING ITS FEET. MY DAUGHTER'S SUBARU HAD A TAKATA RECALL THIS SPRING AND HER DEALER FIXED IT THE NEXT WEEK! WE BOTH LIVE IN COLUMBUS, OH NOW. TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO MERGE ONTO THE EXPRESSWAY, A SEMI TRUCK STRUCK THE REAR DRIVER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE DITCH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND A TOW YARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
TAKATA RECALL. HAVE A 2010 TOYOTA COROLLA THAT HAS RECALL ON THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I HAVE A FAMILY OF 4 AND IT IS INCONVENIENT AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE EVERYONE SIT IN THE BACK SEAT. I HAVE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED WHEN WILL THE PART BE FIXED. THEY SAID IT COULD BE MONTHS. I HAVE WAITED MONTHS. I ASKED FOR A LOANER CAR AND THEY SAID NO. THEY TELL ME TO HAVE MY FAMILY SIT IN THE BACK SEAT. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR AND ON TOP OF THAT I AM STILL PAYING FOR THIS CAR. I FEEL LIKE I AM PAYING FOR HALF A CAR. IT IS RIDICULOUS! I FEEL THE MANUFACTURER OR DEALERSHIP SHOULD GIVE ME A LOANER. I DON'T FEEL SAFE WHEN SOMEONE IS IN THE FRONT SEAT AND SOMETIMES IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDATIONS TO HAVE THE PASSENGERS SIT IN THE BACK. ALL OF MY FAMILY DOES NOT FIT IN THE BACK SEAT. I NEED MY CAR FIXED NOW OR I NEED A LOANER UNTIL THE DEALERSHIP CAN FIXED MY CAR. I FEEL THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALERSHIP ARE LACKING IN TRYING TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. IT IS NOT THE CONSUMER FAULT FOR THIS RECALL. THEY NEED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM NOW! TAKATA INFLATORS MANY MONTHS AGO, I RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT THE AIRBAGS MAY BE FAULTY AND THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE ANYONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS FIXED. THIS IS OUR FAMILY VEHICLE, SO THAT POSES AN ISSUE RIGHT THERE. BUT IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY, WE SQUEEZE EVERYONE IN THE BACK SEAT. FAST FORWARD TO PRESENT AND MY LOCAL TOYOTA SHOP SAYS THAT AFTER 8+ MONTHS, THERE IS STILL NO FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA, WHICH IS ONE OF THE HOT ZONES, AND SUPPOSEDLY WE ARE IN MORE RISK OF MALFUNCTION. ONE OF THE REASONS I PURCHASED A TOYOTA IS FOR ITS STURDY RELIABILITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I CAN'T USE THE VEHICLE TO TRANSPORT EVERYONE AND I CAN'T IN GOOD CONSCIENCE SELL THE VEHICLE KNOWING THE DANGERS. WHAT IS TOYOTA DOING ABOUT THIS? I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THE TOYOTOA BRAND, BUT THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS PUTTING A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH.

TAKATA RECALL HELLO, MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR 9 MONTHS. THAT MEANS NEARLY AN ENTIRE YEAR OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SAFELY TRANSPORT PASSENGERS.
