TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA MATRIX. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO OPEN THE REAR DRIVER'S DOOR, THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MILTON RUBEN AUTO GROUP (3514 WASHINGTON RD, AUGUSTA, GA 30907) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HANDLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT DRIVER'S DOOR HANDLE SHATTERED, CAUSING LACERATIONS TO THE DRIVER'S HAND. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. *TT THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED. *TR
IN FEBRUARY 2015, WITHIN ONE WEEK, THREE OF THE FOUR EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE BROKEN IN HALF! IS THIS HAPPENING TO OTHERS? HOW DO I GET THIS REPAIRED? *TR
I DRIVE A 2007 TOYOTA MATRIX. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, SOMETHING CAME LOOSE AND A LOUD RATTLE/BANGING WAS PRESENT. I DROVE TO THE NEAREST TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND LEFT IT THERE OVERNIGHT. THE GAS TANK STRAP WAS BROKEN THUS CAUSING THE FUEL TANK TO HANG DOWN. THE DEALERSHIP ALLEGES THAT I MUST'VE HIT SOMETHING FOR THIS TO OCCUR. I AM THE SOLE DRIVER OF THIS VEHICLE AND I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING WITH THIS CAR. TOYOTA WOULD NOT COVER THIS REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY. I PAID TO HAVE THE PART REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP KEPT THE OLD PART. *TR
I WORK OUT OF A 2007 TOYOTA MATRIX. THE HATCHBACK LID IS USED QUITE OFTEN. THE LID HAS BEEN GOING UP SLOWER AND LESS HIGH OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS. THIS WEEK I OPENED THE LID AND THE GAS STRUTS FAILED. I COULD HAVE HAD MY HEAD TAKEN OFF IF I WAS LEANING INSIDE THE VEHICLE. IS IT NORMAL FOR THE STRUTS TO FAIL SO QUICKLY? SHOULDN'T THERE BE A SAFETY TO KEEP IT FROM FALLING ON SOMEONE? MY DEALER SAID HE NEVER HAD THIS COMPLAINT BEFORE BUT I HAVE A 2006 TOYOTA SIENNA THAT HAD A RECALL OF IT'S POWER GAS STRUTS DUE TO PREMATURE FAILURE. *TR
