Tail gate handle broke (second time). dealer fixed the first time. If I have a flat tire, I can't get to the spare tire.
Turned into a laundromat parking lot and my balljoint snapped and my truck was sitting on the ground on the driver side front. Bent my fender and door also.
The frame of the vehicle is rusting away despite being sprayed with rust inhibitor during the frame recall. The vehicle was considered unsafe to drive due to large holes in the frame just 3 years after being sprayed by Toyota.
The rear gate door or Deck lid will not open. with either key, or any other method. Every time this occurs, I have to take to the body shop to open and pay $200 for them to open it. They have to climb to the back, dismantle the rear door panels from the inside and undo some mechanisms to open it finally. The shop stated that they have had this problem with these Sequoias many times.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Sequoia. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that the rear subframe was fractured. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was determined that the rear subframe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.
2007 Toyota Sequoia frame completely deteriorated and rusted through. I discovered this when brining my vehicle in for the Toyota Airbag Recall when the technician brought this safety issue to my attention. Previous driving had been extremely unstable and buckled when I was on the highway. Since discovering the frame issue, I stopped driving the vehicle. I believe this is a safety issue caused by a defective frame that Toyota is aware of and had issue a past recall for. The Toyota dealer has made a video of the deteriorated frame and has commented that the vehicle is a safety issue.
Purchased this vehicle with a clear title and then noticed it has frame rot.
Doors not locking with key fob. Have to manually lock all doors by hand. Sometimes the key fob arms the security and sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve replaced the key fob and tried to program new fob but cannot program, hooked up a scanner to run for codes and 1 showed a (B1242 - wireless door lock tuner circuit)
Plan road trip Had Vehicle thoroughly. Inspected only to find that the frame was cracked on goth side and all brake lines are corroded. Called several places to get help with this matter, only to have no help at all. Spoke to many people final communication was with [XXX] in Tennessee who admitted the prior owner was notified as to the issue I have owned this vehicle for 6 yrs and could not understand why the Prior owner was notified and not I. Selling Old tires as if they were new On May 1st 2023, I took my 2007 Toyota Sequoia to Toyota of Vero Beach to be serviced. They advised me that my 2 Goodyear tires were dry rotting and cracking. The tires were purchased in 5/14/2019. The odometer read 181923 the mileage when they were inspected by Toyota was 205140 a difference of 23,217 miles and show no wear. I called the mechanic stated I purchased the tires in 2010, how could they be dry rotting and cracking. The mechanic looked up the serial number and determined they were made in 2015 and were 8 years old. The tires are P265/65R17 110S S2 WRL SR-A TL MFG. No. M7AHEXWR2316 and M7AHEXWR2315. I can’t understand how you can sell me tires that are 5 years old and pass them off as new. That is not what I bargained for! This is unconscionable and dangerous since this vehicle is used to tow a heavy boat.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that there were holes in the subframe and that the subframe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that an unknown recall had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
the transmission seems to be slipping cs when taking off rpms goes up then vehicle takes off cs when going uphill around 40 vehicle struggles and does not shifts down..need replace transmission...
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Sequoia. The contact stated while at a stop light and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated with the traction control warning light illuminated. The contact stated that after several seconds, the vehicle accelerated normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 187,000.
car is not recalled yet the same model year is recalled from 2007, this problem effects my car as well as cars made earlier in the year. The suspension is unstable and joints are worn in many places ball joints and other steering effecting joints. The car makes sudden side movements like the wheel is about to fall off or the tire fell off the time but the tires are properly inflated. Repair estimated are atleast $600 possibly $1200 as it is worn in 2 places The problem is on the passenger side front. The car has 114000 miles. There is no recall on this car but other Sequoias made the same year are recalled This is pretty obvious the problem was in the design and not the date of manufacture.
Frame is completely rusted. Almost the body is about to detach from the frame. A very safety issue. This vehicle was never taken to Toyota for rusted frame at the time of the recall. Toyota must resolve this issue because it's safety matter as the frame can separate from the body at any time.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who repaired and welded the rear subframe of the vehicle. The contact indicated that in 2017 the vehicle was serviced under the Manufacturer Extended Warranty Service Campaign regarding rusting and corrosion of the subframe. The contact indicated that the failure occurred. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 320,000.
I noticed under my SUV frame is alot of rust on several areas.and I read about the recall on sequoias frames and I would like you to help me to resolve this problem thanks. 2007 Toyota Sequoia. Consumer writes in regards to rusted frame on vehicle. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE RUSTED FRAME, BUT WAS NEVER MADE AWARE OF IT. THE CONSUMER WAS ADVISED A NOTICE WAS SENT. THE CONSUMER CLAIMED TO NOT HAVE RECEIVED THE LETTER. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA SEQUOIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT FLASHING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. DUE TO THE FAILURE, EXCESSIVE FORCE WAS NEEDED TO STEER THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AS THE STEERING ALSO FAILED TO OPERATE DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE SPRING VALVE. NEITHER THE MANUFACTURER NOR THE DEALER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 118,000.
VSC, TRACTION CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS RANDOMLY COME ON AND VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOSES ACCELERATION AND RUNS ROUGH. I TRIED PUTTING ON NEW GAS CAP TO NO AVAIL. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED GOING UP A HILL WHEN THE LIGHTS SUDDENLY CAME ON AND I LOST POWER. IT HAS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AS WELL LEAVING ME UNABLE TO SAFELY ACCELERATE . MECHANIC REPORTS THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH TOYOTAS AND COSTLY TO FIX. STATED THAT TOYOTA FIXED THE PROBLEM IN 2008 MODELS BUT NOT IN 2007.
CODE P2440 CAN DAIRY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM SWITCHING VALVE STUCK OPEN BANK 1. VEHICLE HAS 71,000 MILES ON IT BEEN INFORMED THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR MAKE AND MODEL AND THE TOYOTA SHOULD'VE ISSUED A RECALL. CAUSES HIGH RPM START AND LOSS OF POWER ACCELERATION.
EXTENSIVE FRAME ROT. THERE IS A HOLE IN THE FRAME AT THE LOCATION OF A BODY MOUNT.
AS IN NHTSA COMPLAINT ID # 11316132, MY 2007 TOYOTA SEQUOIA BEGAN MAKING A LOUD VACUUM NOISE UPON COLD START FOR APPROX 1 MIN IN MID TO LATE FEBRUARY 2020. WITHIN ABOUT 1 WEEK, THE NOISE CONTINUED AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AS WELL AS VSC AND VSC TRAC LIGHTS CAME ON. UPON TAKING MY VEHICLE TO LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP, THEY INFORMED ME THAT MY SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS A RESULT OF CODES P1445 AND TSB 0230 12. THE ISSUE IS NOW AFFECTING MY ACCELERATION. I'M NO LONGER ABLE TO ACCELERATE WHEN QUICK SPEED IS NECESSARY FOR FREEWAY ENTRY. I'M ALSO UNABLE TO GO ABOVE 65MPH. MY CAR MUST BE FIXED IN ORDER TO PASS SMOG, HOWEVER VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS SMOG IN CA WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. UPON RESEARCH, I FOUND THAT TOYOTA WAS REIMBURSING CUSTOMERS FOR THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM FOR MODELS BETWEEN 2008 AND 2010, BUT NOT FOR 2007. THIS SEEMS TO BE A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM, AS I'VE FOUND THERE IN SEVERAL ONLINE TOYOTA FORUMS THAT THERE IS ACTUALLY A BYPASS KIT FOR SALE FOR A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS THAT ALLOWS THE SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP TO BE BYPASSED. THAT IS MUCH MORE COST EFFECTIVE THAN THE ACTUAL REPAIR WHICH IS ALMOST $2,500. I CALLED TOYOTA TO NOTIFY THEM OF THE ISSUE AND INQUIRE AS TO WHETHER THEY WOULD EXTEND THE PROGRAM FOR 2008 - 2010 TO 2007 AND AT THIS TIME THEY WILL NOT. FILING A COMPLAINT IN ORDER TO ELEVATE THE ISSUE AND HELP TOYOTA UNDERSTAND THEY NEED TO EXTEND THE PROGRAM OF AN ALREADY IDENTIFIED ISSUE THAT IS AFFECTING MORE THAN THE YEARS IN EXISTING SCOPE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP MAKES A LOUD VACUUM NOISE ON STARTUP AS IN NHTSA ID# 11064285. FOUR RELATED CODES GENERATED ON MY VEHICLE AND, NOW, AS A RESULT ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. ALSO IMPACTS ACCELERATION ON FREEWAY WHEN QUICK SPEED IS NECESSARY ON ENTRY. CAR STRUGGLES TO GET POWER TO ACCELERATE AND WILL NOT GO OVER 65 MPH FOR PASSING. CAR MUST BE FIXED TO PASS A CA SMOG CHECK AND WILL NOT PASS WITH AN ENGINE LIGHT. TOYOTA IS REIMBURSING SOME, BUT NOT ALL MODELS IMPACTED BY THIS KNOWN ISSUE. REPAIRING THIS ISSUE WITH THE AIR INDUCTION PUMP COSTS OVER $2000. TOYOTA HAS A PROGRAM FOR 2008-2010 SEQUOIA MODELS, BUT NOT FOR 2007 MODELS. WHEN SEEKING A MECHANIC TO REPAIR THE ISSUE, MECHANIC REPORTED HE'D SEEN THIS ISSUE MANY TIMES BEFORE AND RECEIVED A CALL THE WEEK PRIOR FOR SAME ISSUE. BECAUSE OF THE EXPENSE, HE IS TELLING OWNERS TO NOT GET IT FIXED AS THE CAR IS STILL DRIVEABLE, BUT WITHOUT REPAIR, THE ACCELERATION AND AIR POLLUTION ISSUES REMAIN. CALLED TOYOTA AND CUSTOMER SERVICE REP ASSUMED 2007S/MY VIN WAS A PART OF THE RELATED REIMBURSEMENT/REPAIR PROGRAM, BUT THEY ARE NOT. WAS TRANSFERRED TO A SECOND TIER REP AND HE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO SINCE THE 2007 VIN'S ARE NOT A PART OF THE PROGRAM. WHEN I TOLD HIM ABOUT A CASE NUMBER I'D FOUND IN MY ONLINE RESEARCH, HE LOOKED IT UP AND SAW REFERENCE TO A CUSTOMER WHO HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH HIS 4RUNNER. THE 4RUNNERS ARE ALSO NOT A PART OF THIS PROGRAM, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN CALLS ABOUT IT. IF THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THEN TOYOTA SHOULD BE REIMBURSING OWNERS WHO EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE AND CONSUMERS SHOULD BE PROTECTED FROM THIS TYPE OF NEGLIGENCE AND DAMAGE TO THE ENVIRONMENT. ONLINE RESEARCH SHOWS THIS ISSUE IMPACTS MULTIPLE TOYOTA V8 MODELS, INCLUDING SEQUOIA, TUNDRA, 4RUNNER.
JUST CRANK THE VEHICLE UP AND THE AIRBAG INSIGNIA CAME ON AND THE BOOK SAYS TAKE TO DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY. SO I DID THAT AND NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME S125 FOR CHECKING OUT A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD HAVE NEVER TOOK IT TO MANUFACTURER IF I KNEW IT WOULD COSTS ME 125 DOLLARS TO CHECK A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM.THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN I STARTED DRIVING AND IT STAYED ON.
THERE IS SEVERE ABNORMAL FRAME RUST & PERFORATIONS IN THE VEHICLES FRAME. I RECEIVED NOTICED TO ADDRESS TOYOTA FRAME RECALL WHEN I CALLED TOYOTA CUSTOMER RELATIONS TO INQUIRY ABOUT ANY RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. THE REP EXPLAINED OF TWO RECALLS & SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT AT MY LOCAL TOYOTA SERVICE CENTER (FITZGERALD LAKEFOREST TOYOTA) TO ADDRESS THE FRAME RECALL CAMPAIGN & AIRBAG RECALL. THE SERVICE ADVISER EXPLAINED FRAME RECALL REMEDY WAS NOT APPLICABLE BECAUSE THERE WERE PERFORATIONS DISCOVERED IN THE VEHICLES FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS ENTITLED TO A FRAME REPLACEMENT. THE ADVISER EXPLAINED THE FRAME RECALL REPLACEMENT HAS EXPIRED & THAT I NEEDED TO CALL TOYOTA CUSTOMERS RELATIONS TO LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM. THE AIRBAG RECALL WAS CORRECTED. I CALLED THEM. THE TOYOTA CUSTOMERS RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE EXPLAINED THE FRAME RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE EXPIRED JANUARY 31, 2019 & TOYOTA IS NOT ABLE TO HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM. I AM NOT SURE WHY THERE IS A EXPIRATION DATE ON THIS RECALL IF THERE ARE STILL VEHICLES OUT ON THE ROAD WITH FAULTY VEHICLE FRAMES. I HAVE ATTACHED THE PICTURE OF PERFORATION IN THE FRAME.

IN JUNE OF 2018 I WENT TO WALKER TOYOTA FOR AN AIRBAG RECALL THAT THEY HAD SENT ME NOTICES ON. WHILE THERE I ASKED ABOUT A FRAME RECALL THAT SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE THE SAME VEHICLE I HAVE TOLD ME ABOUT. THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO RECALL ON MY VIN NUMBER FOR THAT. SO I THOUGHT I WAS IN THE CLEAR. AS WE GET INTO FALL MY FRIENDS ASK ME HOW MY RECALL ON THE FRAME WENT? DID THEY SPRAY THE FRAME OR REPLACE IT. I SAID THEY DID NEITHER. I TOLD THEM WALKER TOLD ME THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THAT. THEY ALL SAID YES THERE WAS. SO I STARTED TO LOOK INTO IT FURTHER AND FINALLY GOT THEM TO ADMIT THERE WAS A RECALL. THEY THEN TOLD ME THAT THIS IS SOMETHING THEY DO NOT DO MUST HAVE BEEN THE REASON THE TECH TOLD ME THIS WHEN I WAS THERE FOR THE AIRBAG. NOW I KNOW THIS IS A LIE BECAUSE I HAD A TOYOTA TUNDRA THAT HAD A FRAME RECALL AND WALKER DID THE FRAME REPLACEMENT. SO THEN AFTER GOING FURTHER THEY SAID "OH WE DO NOT DO THE UNDER BODY SPRAY BECAUSE WE ARE NOT LICENSED BY THE CITY TO DO IT". SO THEY GAVE ME THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN BEAVERCREEK OHIO WHICH IS PRETTY CLOSE AS SOMEONE WHO COULD DO IT. SO I CALLED THEM AND THERE WAS ONE GUY IN CHARGE OF THAT AND HE WAS NOT IN. BUT THEY DO NOT TAKE MESSAGES? I CALLED QUITE A FEW TIMES AFTER THAT TO TRY AND SET APPOINTMENT WHICH TOOK A WHILE TO GET. I GO TO APPOINTMENT AND HE SAYS THE FRAME IS BAD BUT IT IS 45 DAYS AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF THE RECALL. A RECALL THAT THEY LIED TO ME ABOUT. I CONTACTED TOYOTA AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO THEM. THEY LOOKED INTO IT AND SAID SORRY BUT WE WILL BE DOING NOTHING. THEY SAID THEY SENT ME LETTERS OF WHICH I DO NOT RECALL GETTING. THEY DID SEND ME LETTERS FOR THE AIRBAG EVERY MONTH UP UNTIL JUST A COUPLE MONTHS AGO. EVEN THOUGH THAT WORK HAD BEEN DONE. SO I AM NOW DRIVING A TRUCK THEY SAY IS UNSAFE BUT I CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER. NEED HELP. *JS
ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, I WAS DRIVING OUR 2007 TOYOTA SEQUOIA 4X4 ON A RURAL ROAD THAT HAD HAD FRESH SNOW THE NIGHT BEFORE, BUT NO SAND OR OTHER ROAD SALT WAS LAID DOWN. IT IS A CURVY AND HILLY ROAD. I HAD DRIVEN ON THE ROAD AN HOUR EARLIER WITH NO PROBLEMS. AT APPROXIMATELY 9AM, I ENCOUNTERED A PATCH OF ICE WHERE THERE WAS A CURVE IN THE ROAD AND MY SUV THAT HAD BRAND NEW MICHELIN TIRES ON COLLIDED WITH A TREE THAT WAS PART OF AN ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE TREE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15 INCHES IN DIAMETER. THE COLLISION STRUCK DIRECTLY ON LEFT SIDE OF ENGINE BY HEADLIGHT'PLOWING IN APPROXIMATELY 9 INCHES AND DEFLATED FRONT TIRE. FRONT SUSPENSION WAS BROKEN AS IS HOOD ( SEE PICTURE). NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED?? I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 25-30 MPH AT IMPACT. MY AIRBAG ON DRIVERS SIDE WAS RECALLED WITH TAKATA RECALL AND REPLACED , BUT I WONDER IF IT WAS INSTALLED PROPERLY OR WRONG? I SUFFERED A CONCUSSION AND OTHER TRAUMA TOYOTA DEALER BODY SHOP INDICATES THAT ALL SENSORS FOR AIRBAGS ON FRAME ONLY AND SINCE FRAME NOT HIT NO DEPLOYMENT??
THE MASTER PRESSURE SENSOR IS FAILING AND FROM WHAT I AM READING THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON COMPLAINT IN THE EARLY 2000'S TOYOTAS BUT NO ONE HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT BESIDES CHARGE AN AWFUL AMOUNT TO FIX. MY VEHICLE WHEN IN 4WD BRAKES WILL LOCK UP AND I STILL SLIDE NO MATTER WHAT GEAR OR HOW SLOW I AM GOING. I HAVE ALMOST SLID INTO COUNTLESS CARS.
SECONDARY INJECTION PUMP IS MAKING A LOUD VACUUM TYPE OF NOISE. OUR OWN ONLINE RESEARCH LEADS US TO BELIEVE THAT THE BEARINGS ARE GOING BAD IN THE PUMP. THIS NOISE IS VERY LOUD WHEN THE ENGINE IS STARTED. IF YOU QUICKLY TAP THE GAS PEDAL, THE NOISE GOES AWAY FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THE NOISE WILL USUALLY COME BACK ON FOR ABOUT ANOTHER 10-20 SECONDS AND IT WILL GO OFF ON IT'S OWN. IT SEEMS THAT ONCE THE ENGINE HAS BEEN ON FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS TOTAL, THE LOUD VACUUM NOISE GOES AWAY ON ITS OWN. THIS LOUD VACUUM NOISE OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK AND ALSO WHILE DRIVING IT. LEAVE THE 2007 SEQUOIA'S OFF OF THIS REIMBURSEMENT LIST, WHEN THEY ALSO CLEARLY HAVE THIS SAME SECONDARY INJECTION PUMP PROBLEM AS ALL THE VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THAT PARTICULAR REIMBURSEMENT OFFER?! WHY HAS TOYOTA MOTOR CORP. BEEN ABLE TO GET BY WITH THIS? I'VE SEEN ONLINE THAT TONS OF PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. WHEN THIS SORT OF VERY EXPENSIVE PROBLEM OCCURS, THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD JUST MANDATE THAT A RECALL BE DONE. BECAUSE OF COURSE, TOYOTA TRIED TO RE-NIG AND NOT ACTUALLY REIMBURSE PEOPLE FOR THIS REPAIR. TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTING TO GET THE AIRBAGS FIXED FOR ALMOST THREE YEARS. I CALL TOYOTA, THEY CALL THE DEALERSHIP, THEY TELL ME TO CALL BACK IN A FEW WEEKS IF NO ONE HAS CALLED BE TO SCHEDULE A FIX. IN A FEW WEEKS I CALL TOYOTA BACK AND START ALL OVER BUT I AM ASSURED EVERYTIME THAT THEY WILL GET IT FIXED THIS TIME. I DO NOT KNOW WHERE ELSE TO TURN IN GETTING THIS FIXED.

UNLESS TOYOTA RECIEVES ENOUGH CASE PROBLEMS FOR 2007 YEAR, THEY WILL NOT EXTEND WARRANTY FOR PARTS, WHICH THEY HAVE DONE FOR ALL OTHER AFFECTED YEARS.

I WAS TOLD I NEED A 2ND AIR INCEPTION FLOW BECAUSE IT IS BAD. MY VSC TRAC, TRAC OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ALL CAME ON YESTERDAY. I WAS DRIVING SO I'M NOT SURE IF THEY ALL CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME OR NOT. THE BRAKE DOES NOT OVER RIDE CRUISE CONTROL ON HIGHWAY. SO IT WILL CONTINUE GAS UP EVEN YOU USE BRAKE UNDER CRUISE CONTROL MODE. THIS IS PRETTY DISAPPOINTING SINCE THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SEEN ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE FIRST GENERATION

HEY SHOULD COVER ALL VEHICLES WITH THE SAME ENGINE TYPES BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL GOING TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE! THIS REPAIR CAN COST THE CONSUMER UP TO $3600. THE VEHICLE MAKES A LOUD SOUND UPON STARTING AND THE TRAC AND ABS LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARS. MY VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALER BUT IN MY OPINION TOYOTA SHOULD REPAIR THESE VEHICLE FREE OF CHARGE ESPECIALLY IF THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE.

TOYOTA EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON 2008-2010 SEQUOIAS WITH THE EXACT SAME ENGINE AS MY 2007 BUT THEY WILL NOT COVER MY VEHICLE. IF THEY KNOW THERE IS AN ISSUE AND THEY ARE WILL TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY OF SOME VEHICLES, THEY SHOULD COVER ALL VEHICLES WITH THE SAME ENGINE TYPES BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL GOING TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE! THIS REPAIR CAN COST THE CONSUMER UP TO $3600. THIS IS A SCAM IN MY OPINION.
