ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, THERE COULD BE AN INTERRUPTION IN ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE. THIS COULD RESULT IN THE FUEL PUMP RUNNING CONTINUOUSLY, RESULTING IN A DRAINED BATTERY AND/OR A NO START CONDITION, OR CAUSE A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, WHICH COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH CAUSING INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
"TAKATA RECALL" WILL THE PROBLEM BE FIXED, I DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR AT THIS TIME, BUT IT LOOKS AS IF I WILL BE FORCED TO DO SO. I ALSO HAVE SOME ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE CAR THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE TIRES AND THE LIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT TO REPLACE THEM EVERY 4 TO 6 MONTHS IS CRAZY.. THE DEALERSHIP HERE WANTS TO PUT ME IN A NEW CAR AND AS HE SAID EAT THE COST TO REPLACE, WHY DON'T THEY JUST PAY OFF THE CAR AND I CAN CUT MY LOSSES AND START OVER WITH A CAR OF MY CHOICE, I'M BEING FORCED BACK INTO A VW CAR?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 VOLKSWAGEN CC. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN ENGINE POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. MOST RECENTLY, THE ELECTRONIC POWER CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AS THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION HAS HAD OVER TWO YEARS OF UNRESOLVED ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY RETURN TO THE DEALERSHIP ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT WHAT IT WAS THERE FOR NOT TO BE THE PROBLEM BUT OTHER THINGS HAVE BEEN FOUND AND THATS THE PROBLEM. AFTER PAYING FOR THAT REPAIR ONLY TO BRING IT BACK FOR THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINT. THIS IS THE PATTERN WITH THE ENGINE LEAKING OIL AND THE LEAK NEVER FOUND TO THE CAR NOT GOING ABOVE 10 MPH. WTHIN THE LAST 5 MONTHS THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR THE SAME ISSUE OF NO POWER AND RATTLING SHAKING TRANSMISSION. THREE TO FOUR WEEKS AT A TIME. IN THE PAST THE CAR HAS BEEN RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP ONCE A WEEK FOR THE OIL TO BE CHECK AND FILLED TO SPECS . ALSO WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS THE ENTIRE ENGINE HAS BEEN WORKED ON BY THE DEALERSHIP AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS BLOWN UP BY A TECHNICIAN BEING CARELESS IN MAKING A REPAIR. IN REPAIR ORDERS I HAVE THE MAJOR WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE ON THIS VEHICLE.IN TALKING TO THE DEALERSHIP AND VOLKSWAGEN THE ONLY THING THATS BEING SAID THAT THE CAR IS TOO FAR OUT OF WARRANTY. THE ISSUE THAT GENERATES THIS COMPLAINT IS THAT NOW VOLKSWAGEN DEALERSHIP HAS THE CAR AND IT NEEDS A ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION AND WANTS BETWEEN $8,000-$11,000. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE ISSUE THAT HAVE BEEN HAVING OVER THE PERIOD OF TIME. THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT BE CARRYING THE BURDEN OF THIS TYPE OF REPAIR BECAUSE OF THE HISTORY OF THE CARS IN QUESTION (WHICH IS THE VOLKSWAGEN 2012 CC). ALL OF THE PROBLEMS HAVE OCCURRED WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION. THE EVENTS WITH THIS CAR STARTED IN THE YEAR 2016 AND THE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN CONSTANT EVRY SINCE UP UNTIL THIS CURRENT DATE.

WHY MUST I PAY FOR A CAR THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SCRAPPED AND A MANUFACTURED DEFECT? MY LOAN NEEDS TO BE ZEROED OUT AND I SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO START OVER. TAKATA RECALL, VOLKSWAGON HAS BEEN DELAYING A FIX FOR MY CC SPORT 2012. I WAS NOTIFIED IN FEBRUARY 2016 THAT MY VOLKSWAGON CCSPORT 2012 HAS A SAFETY RECALL OF MY AIRBAGS. THE DEALER AS ADVISED ME THEY WON'T TAKE MY CAR BACK IN TRADE FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE DO TO THE OPEN RECALL. FURTHER ADVISED ME THAT BECAUSE VOLKSWAGON CURRENTLY HAS NO FIX IN THE NEAR FUTURE. MY AUTOMOBILE WITH 37,000 MILES IN EXCELLENT CONDITON AND MAINTAINED/SERVICED EVERY 3000 MILES. AND I WAS ADVISED THAT THE VALUE OR TREADE IN IF THEY WERE TO TAKE CAR BACK. THE CAR WOULD HAVE TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION FOR PENNY'S ON THE DOLLAR. THIS IS A CRIME AND OUT RAGIOUS THAT A DEALER WHO HAS SOLD ME TWO VOLKSWAGON OVER THE SPAN OF 10YEARS IS NOW SENDING ME TO CAR MAX AS MY ONLY OPTION TO TRADE MY CAR OR SALE IT. I'M OUT RAGED AND NEED SOME ADVISE OR GUIDANCE AS TO HOW I MOVE FORWARD WITH VOLKSWAGON TO SETTLE THIS SAFETY RECALL WHICH HAS BEEN ON FILE ALMOST A YEAR. TAKATA RECALL - IN APRIL 2016, VW INFORMED ME THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG WAS DEFECTIVE AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. TODAY (JULY 5, 2017) I CALLED THE VW DEALER, AND THE VW DEALER CLAIMS THE PARTS FOR THE AIRBAG REPAIR WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL SEPT. 30, 2017. THAT MEANS I WILL HAVE BEEN DRIVING AN UNSAFE CAR FOR 18 MONTHS. CAN NHTSA GET VW TO DO THE REPAIRS SOONER?
CHRONIC LOW TIRE PRESSURE READINGS FROM MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS). DEALER UNWILLING TO REPAIR DURING WARRANTY AND AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRATION. NOTIFIED DEALER AND VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA IN WRITING WITH NO RESPONSE. TIRES ARE LOOSING TIRE PRESSURE REGULARLY. FALSE POSITIVE DISPLAY FOR FLAT TIRE. THE TPMS WAS INDICATING PROBLEMS BEFORE 12K MILES AND THE TIRES ARE STILL LOOSING AIR AFTER 34K MILES. PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED FOR OVER THREE YEARS AS DOCUMENTED ON DEALER SERVICE RECORDS. TIRE PRESSURE PROBLEMS ARE NOTED BY DASH DISPLAY WHEN IGNITION IS ON AND WHILE DRIVING, AND VERIFIED WITH MANUAL TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE. PRESSURE DROPS HAVE BEEN RECORED TO 23 PSI (33 PSI RECOMMENDED). PROBLEMS OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE PHOTO DOCUMENTATION AND RELATED SERVICE RECORDS VERIFYING THESE PROBLEMS. I CONSIDER THIS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.
WEDNESDAY ON MY HOME I'M DRIVING GOING ABOUT 35MPH GEARING DOWN AS I AM COMING UP TO A TOLE BOOTH WHEN I NOTICE THAT BRAKES LITERALLY HAVE SHUT OFF. I'M PRESSING THE PETAL REPEATEDLY AS HARD AND AS FAST AS I CAN TO GET THEM TO WORK BUT THEY ENDED FAILING AND I RAN INTO SOMEONE AND WENT THROUGH THE TOLE BOOTH AND ROLLED STOPPED 80 YARDS AFTER THE CRASH BECAUSE THE BRAKES STILL DID NOT WORK AFTER THE CRASH .WITH AIRBAG NOT DEPLOYING. IT WAS A VERY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE, I NO LONGER FEEL COMFORTABLE IN A VEHICLE I WAS SO HAPPY WITH MOMENTS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED.
2012 VW CC WITH 72K. ALWAYS MAINTAINED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND OIL CHANGE WAS DONE EVERY 5-6K ONLY AT VW DEALER. ISSUE STARED T TRAFFIC LIGHTS, CAR STOPPED AND WHEN STARTED IT WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH. SOUNDED LIKE RUNNING ON 2-3 CYLINDERS. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEANSHIP, FOUND 8 CODES, MOSTLY MISFIRES ON ALL 4 CYLINDER AND ALSO ISSUE WITH CAMSHAFT TIMING. DEALER TOLD THAT THEY NEED TO TAKE THE ENGINE APART TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE, COST $1200 JUST FOR DIAGNOSES. I CALLED VW AMERICA THEY SUGGESTED TO TAKE THE ENGINE APART AND BASED ON THE PROBLEM THEY WILL CONDITIONER IF THEY WILL AGREE TO HELP. DEALER PROCEED WITH DIAGNOSTICS AND FOUND THE ISSUE. BROKEN BRACKET SCREEN OF PART NUMBER 06H-103-144-J BRACKET. THE MISSING SCREEN WAS NOT FOUND AT ALL AND THIS PART FAILURE CAUSED MORE DAMAGE SO I ALSO NEEDED REPLACEMENT OF THE CAMSHAFT PART #06-H109021K, VALVE AND MANY OTHER PARTS. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PICTURES OF THE DAMAGED PARTS (INTERNAL ENGINE PARTS) AND INVOICE OF WHAT WAS REPLACED. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT AUDI WITH SAME ENGINES USED EXACTLY THE SAME PART NUMBER THAT FAILED IN MY VEHICLE AND THEY HAD ISSUED RECALL CAMPAIGN 15D6. VW NOT WILLING TO HELP OR COVER THE COST WITH EXPLANATION THAT VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY EVEN AUDI USES SAME ENGINE AND THEY ARE SAME COMPANY. I DO HAVE THE OLD PARTS WITH ME AND I SEE THAT THE PART WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY INSTALLED IN MY VEHICLE IS 06H-103-166-G AND THE REPLACEMENT PART BASED ON THE INVOICE IS 06H-103-144-J, THE ONE THAT IS PART OF THE AUDI RECALL. I WAS LUCKY THAT THE ISSUE HAPPENED AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS. I WORKED WITH REGIONAL CASE MANAGER AND HER SUPERVISOR BUT THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING EVEN WHEN I MENTIONED THE AUDI RECALL. MY CASE NUMBER WITH VW AMERICA IS 160174354. TOTAL COST FOR THIS REPAIR AND RENTALS HAS COST ME $3100

AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL REMEDY WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE PROVIDED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL- I WAS SENT NOTIFICATION ABOUT THE RECALL VIA MAIL BACK IN FEBRUARY. I CALLED THE NUMBER LISTED TO GET MORE INFORMATION AS WELL AS SET UP A DATE TO TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUE. I WAS INFORMED THAT NO RESOLUTION HAD BEEN PUT INTO PLACE AT THAT TIME. MY VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AT THIS POINT, I WOULD LIKE TO DRIVE MY CAR AND NOT BE IN FEAR OF MY LIFE WITH SOMETHING THAT WOULD HOPEFULLY SAFE MY LIFE AND NOT TAKE MY LIFE. IF WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND START OVER.IT IS NOT FAIR THAT I HAVE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE HAVE NOT USED IT AS I PLEASE BECAUSE OF THE FEAR OF THE METAL FRAGMENTS IN THE AIRBAGS.I WOULD LIKE A RESOLUTION IMMEDIATELY SO THAT I CAN IN FULL CONFIDENCE DRIVE AND ENJOY MY VEHICLE. TAKATA INFLATORS. THE RECALL DATE WAS FEB 9, 2016. IT IS NOV 4, 2016 AND THE REMEDY IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THE RECALL IS NOT BEING HANDLED IN A TIMELY MANNER PUTTING THE DRIVER (MY SON) AT RISK. ACCORDING TO THE VIDEO AT THE NHTSA WEBSITE ON THE TOPIC, IT STATES HOT AND HUMID CLIMATES INCREASE THE RISK OF MALFUNCTION. WE LIVE IN NC, A HOT AND HUMID CLIMATE.
THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AND THE RECALL HAS BEEN NEARLY ONE YEAR WITHOUT ANY UPDATES OR A SOLUTION TO THIS SAFETY HAZARD. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

TAKATA RECALL - VW ISSUED THIS RECALL 14 MONTHS AGO IN FEBRUARY 2016. THEY STILL TELL ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO REMEDY. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY TELL YOU METAL SHRAPNEL COULD SHRED YOUR FACE AND NECK AND KILL YOU.

HENDRICK VOLKSWAGEN OF CONCORD (7500 HENDRICK AUTO PLAZA NW, CONCORD, NC) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO PARTS MANUFACTURED FOR ANY DEALER. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
IT HAS BEEN OVER ONE YEAR SINCE THE AIRBAG ON MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED AND VOLKSWAGEN HAS YET TO DO ANYTHING. THE TURBO ALSO SEEMS TO BE MALFUNCTIONING.
TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED TWO RECALLS FROM VOLKWAGEN BUT ARE TOLD NO REPAIRS AVAILABLE YET.
IHAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE TRUNK WIRING HARNESS TWICE. IT RUBS ON THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE TRUNK AND FAILS. THE DESIGN SHOULD BE FIXED.
WIRING HARNESS FOR TRUNK HAS PINCH POINT CAUSING THE WIRE INSULATION AND WIRES TO BREAK. THIS HARNESS HAS REAR LIGHTS IN THE SAME HARNESS. HAD TO REPLACE TRUNK HARNESS, CAR IS 5 YEARS OLD AND HAS 65000 MILES. LATCH AND DOOR SWITCH STOPPED WORKING, DIAGNOSIS WAS SHORT IN HARNESS. I TOOK OLD HARNESS FROM DEALER AND PULLED BACK COVER AND FOUND ALL WIRES WERE BARE.
TAKATA RECALL - THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED IN FEBRUARY 2016 UPON WHICH I WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE. NOW, ONE YEAR AND EIGHT MONTHS LATER I'M RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT BRINGING MY VEHICLE IN TO BE REPAIRED. THE MOST RECENT STATES "THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT MUST BE TAKEN CARE OF - DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS CAN CAUSE THE AIRPAG TO DEPLOY IMPROPERLY, SHOOTING METAL FRAGMENTS ANT DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS, WHICH CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." I'M CONCERNED THAT IT TOOK NEARLY TWO YEARS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, ESPECIALLY GIVEN THE STATEMENT BEING SENT OUT VIA POSTCARD. SECONDLY, NOW THERE IS YET ANOTHER RECALL FOR SOMETHING RELATED TO THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP MODULE. I HAVE ALREADY TAKEN MY VEHICLE IN MULTIPLE TIMES FOR A RELATED RECALL, ONE THAT LEFT ME STRANDED AND HAVING TO BE TOWED BEFORE VW EVER EVEN NOTIFIED ME. ABSOLUTELY UNREAL!
I STARTED MY CAR (37000 MILES) ON A PARKING LOT, AND THE YELLOW WARNING LIGHTS FOR ABS, STABILITY CONTROL, POWER STEERING, PASSENGER AIR BAG AND PARKING BREAK LIGHTED UP AT ONCE. TOOK THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC AND THE DIAGNOSTIC WAS THE ABS MODULE WENT BAD. I FOUND ONLINE THAT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND A SERVICE BULLETIN WAS ISSUED, BUT SO FAR NO RECALLS. IT'S A VERY EXPENSIVE PROBLEM TO REPAIR $2000 TO $3000, AND I'M REALLY CONCERN THAT MY PASSENGER AIR BAG IS NOT OPERABLE.
IN A FRONT END COLLISION WHILE SLOWING DOWN ON INTERSTATE 84, ON OCTOBER 15, 2015, THE AIR BAG DID NOT RELEASE. THIS RESULTED IN A FRACTURED STERNUM AND A HOSPITAL STAY. THE POLICE REPORT WITH THE CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE IS CASE NUMBER 1500606623 PER ARTICLE IN USA TODAY -- 8.15.15, THIS CAR IS INCLUDED IN A RECALL DUE TO AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.

MY VEHICLE FIRST HAD AN ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATE WHICH CAUSED AN ABS FAILURE. I'VE READ THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. THEN MOST RECENTLY I HAD AN EPC CODE ILLUMINATE IN ADDITION TO A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO LOSE RPM AND START MISFIRING. I HAD TO REPLACE ALL 4 COILS ON THE VEHICLE. WHILE AT THE SHOP MY AIR CONDITIONED STOPPED WORKING CORRECTLY ONLY FUNCTIONING WHEN ON THE 4 POSITION. I HATE THIS CARE MORE THAN ANYTHING AND CAN ONLY PRAY THAT VW MAY FIND IT IN THEIR HEART TO BUY IT BACK!!!!

ERROR AIR BAG ERROR WAS THE ERROR THAT APPEARS ON MY DISPLAY WHEN I TURN ON CAR. HORN & ALL BUTTONS ON STEERING WHEEL STOPPED WORKING. THIS IS ON THE VW CC YEAR IS 2012. I AM TOLD BY SERVICE DEPARTMENT IT IS DUE TO A FAILURE OF THE CLOCKSPRING HENCE I MUST REPLACE THE CLOCKSPRING WITH CONTROL UNIT AND PART ONLY IS ALMOST 450 DOLLARS, AND LABOR IS ADDITIONAL.
TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL AT LOW SPEED AS I WAS EXITING A PARKING LOT AND HEARD A METALLIC SOUND AND STEERING GOT VERY TIGHT, SEVERAL WARNING LEDS PRESENTED ON THE DASH DISPLAY INDICATING AIR BAG FAILURES. ALL FEATURES INCORPORATED WITH THE STEERING WHEEL WERE INOPERABLE INCLUDING THE HORN. TOOK VEHICLE TO VW DEALER, SERVICE TECH CODES INDICATED THE SCCM MODULE/CLOCK SPRING HAS FAILED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ASAP AT A COST OF ~ $ 800.00
TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR WILL NOT GO OUT EVEN AFTER RESET THE ENGINE LIGHT INADVERTENTLY GOES ON, THE SAME FOR THE STEERING COLUMN AND THEN MY PHONE STOPS PAIRING CORRECTLY WITH THE CAR.
MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE I STARTED MY LEASE TIL NOW. I HAVE CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH MY LIGHT BULBS EVEN AFTER THEY ARE REPLACED THEY GO OUT QUICKLY AND OFTEN. TOOK IT TO CLOSEST AUTO REPAIR TO MAKE SURE NOTHING DANGEROUS WAS ABOUT TO OCCUR. QUICK DIAGNOSTIC AND THEY SAID ALL PROBLEMS ARE ELECTRICAL.
