MULTIPLE LIGHTS NOT WORKING, INCLUDING TURN SIGNAL AND BRAKE, WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. DETERMINED THAT 30 AMP FUSE #F16 HAD FAILED AND THERE APPEARED TO BE HEAT DAMAGE TO THE FUSE BOX AT THE LOCATION OF THIS FUSE.
KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION WHEN TURNING OFF THE ENGINE.
KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION AND I CANNOT TURN OFF THE ENGINE.
2011 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO VEHICLE STALLING AND SHUTTING OFF WHEN SLOWING TO STOP AND AFTER REPAIRS INCIDENT HAPPENED AGAIN. CONSUMER REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIRS. *AS *JS
THE REAR DRUM BRAKES FAILED ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION CAUSING LOSS OF BREAK PRESSURE WHICH ON ONE OCCASION ALMOST RESULTED IN A REAR END COLLISION. BOTH TIMES THE REAR DRUM BREAK FAILURE WAS CONFIRMED BY A VOLKSWAGEN CERTIFIED MECHANIC. ON ONE OCCASION BOTH REAR BRAKE SYSTEMS WERE COMPLETELY REPLACED INCLUDING THE BRAKE DRUMS. ON THE OTHER OCCASION THE REAR BRAKE DRUMS WERE SALVAGEABLE BUT THE OTHER COMPONENTS WERE REPLACED. THE FIRST TIME WAS ON MAY 26TH, 2015 AND THE SECOND TIME WAS JUNE 27, 2018. THE FIRST TIME A COMPLAINT WAS MADE WITH VOLKSWAGEN IN THE UNTIED STATES ON JUNE 5, 2015.
TAKATA RECALL. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE AFTER SEATING FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, IT TAKES AN EXCESS AMOUNT OF CRANKING BEFORE THE ENGINE FIRES. 10 PLUS SECONDS. ONE ITS RUNNING IT USUALLY DRIVES WITHOUT ISSUES UNTIL YOU GET TO 5/16-1/4 TANK. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY IT STARTS TO LOOSE POWER. THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO SHUT OFF. IT LOOSES POWER, GAINS AND LOOSE POWER CAUSING IT TO SPUTTER AND LOOSE CONTROL. AFTER A FEW MOMENTS IT IS BACK TO NORMAL. THEN PROCEEDS TO HAPPEN SPORADICALLY USUALLY EVERY COUPLE MILES UNTIL IT GETS FILL IT UP. THIS HAPPENS ON CITY ROADS AND HIGHWAY. I FILL THE TANK UP AND I ONLY GET ON AVERAGE 10 GALLONS INTO THE TANK, SO I KNOW ITS NOT OUT OF GAS. I HAVE HAD THE FUEL PUMP TEST NUMEROUS TIMES BY DIFFERENT MECHANICS. ALL OF THEM SAID ITS NOT LOOSING PRESSURE, AND IT PRIMES WHEN THE DRIVERS DOOR OPENS LIKE IT SHOULD. AFTER READING ONLINE I HAVE NOTICED MANY JETTA OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AND CAN NOT SEEM TO GET IT FIXED. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING CAUSE IT CAN CUT POWER AT ANY MOMENT AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPEN SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN IF IT FALLS BELOW THE 5/16 A TANK. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT HAS EFFECTED MANY JETTA OWNERS AND PREVENTS A RISK TO THEM AND OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED. THANK YOU.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS) FAILED. IN ADDITION, THE AIR BAG AND TRACTION CONTROL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED. GUNTER VOLKSWAGEN IN FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA 33317 WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE IGNITION SWITCH ON MY 2011 JETTA IS REGULARLY BECOMING STUCK AND I CANNOT TURN OFF MY VEHICLE. I SPENT OVER AN HOUR ON SATURDAY EVENING WHILE PARKED IN DRIVEWAY TRYING TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND REMOVE THE KEY TO NO AVAIL. I HAD TO REMOVE THE FUEL PUMP FUSE ALONG WITH UNPLUGGING THE BATTERY. THE RADIO SYSTEM ALSO WENT OUT. FOLLOWING A LOUD POP THE SYSTEM QUIT WORKING COMPLETELY. SIMILAR TO MANY REPORTS I HAVE READ ONLINE SINCE THE OCCURRENCE.
The contact owns a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the splash guard detached from the vehicle and damaged the radiator. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving to his destination. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
WIPERS DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY IN COLD TEMPERATURES. IN VERY COLD WEATHER, THEY WILL OFTEN TAKE 3-5 MINUTES BEFORE MOVING ONCE TURNED ON. IN COOL TEMPERATURES THEY WILL OFTEN RUN AT A VERY SLOW PACE. CHANGING WIPER BLADES HAS NO EFFECT/IMPACT. THIS IS A WIPER ARM AND/OR WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY ISSUE AND WIDESPREAD THROUGHOUT ONLINE REPORTS. VW SHOULD BE FORCED TO ISSUE A RECALL.
IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER ABRUPTLY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AT ALL DUE TO THIS FAILURE. THEY KEY WOULD NOT TURN AT ALL. IT WORKED ONE MOMENT AND IMMEDIATELY STOPPEDF WORKING. STRANDED AND HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED. TOW COMPANY HAD TO DISASSEMBLE SHIFTER TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL IN ORDER TO TOW. $645 + FOR TOW AND REPAIRS.
I'LL TURN MY CAR OFF AND WAIT FOR THE RPM'S TO GO BELOW 1,000 SOMETIMES I'LL SHIFT INTO REVERSE AND MY CAR WILL KICK AND THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON. I HAVE GONE TO GET THE ERROR CHECKED BY MULTIPLE COMPUTERS; THE SAME ERROR READS AS TORCH CONVERTER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION. AS I PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE IT JUMPS AGAIN SOMETIMES SOUNDING LIKE A SPRING IS DOING SOMETHING WEIRD. WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR THE ENGINE REVS AND DOES NOT SHIFT GEARS. THE CAR MOVES BUT IS STUCK IN FIRST GEAR. I CAN'T GO ABOVE 59 MPH NOR DO I WANT TO REV MY ENGINE AT 4500 RPMS. I GOT MY JETTA AT 66,000 MILES AND IT BEEN DOING EVER SINCE. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT 95,000 MILES AND THE PROBLEM HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY.
DEFECTIVE LIGHT SWITCH THAT CONTROLS THE HEADLIGHTS, DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT LOW BEAMS AND HIGH BEAMS. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT NO LONGER WORK, LOW BEAMS ARE SO DIM THEY ARE NO LONGER EFFECTIVE.
WHEN SHIFTING GEARS FROM PARK TO ANY OTHER GEAR AFTER TURNING THE CAR ON,, THE LIGHTS PROJECTING WHICH GEAR THE CAR IS CURRENTLY IN DO NOT LIGHT UP, AND A WRENCH APPEARS ON THE DASHBOARD, BUT THE INDICATOR ON THE DASHBOARD IS ALSO GONE
TAKATA RECALL MY WINDSHEILD WIPERS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. ONLY TOP SPEED WORKS. SPEED 1 AND 2 DO NOT WORK, ONLY 3.
HORN DOESN'T WORK AND THERE IS NO WARNING LIGHT. A VEHICLE DECIDED TO DO A U-TURN IN FRONT OF ME WITH NO WARNING. HIT THE HORN TO FIND IT NOT FUNCTIONING. THERE IS NO WARNING LIGHT TO INDICATE THERE IS AN ISSUE. THE PART THAT FAILED IS ALSO TIED TO THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THE PART THAT FAILED IS THE CLOCK SPRING - J527 MODULE AS NOTED IN THE VW DEALER INDICATING THE HORN FUNCTIONS BUT THE MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
I CAN'T GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND I CAN TURN THE CAR OFF.
THE FUSE BOX MELTED AND CAUSED ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS. THIS SEEMS LIKE A SAFETY ISSUE. APPARENTLY THIS HAS HAPPENED FREQUENTLY AND OTHER MODELS (TIGUAN) HAVE BEEN RECALLED DUE TO THE FAILURE OF THE SAME PART NUMBER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE HORN WOULD NOT FUNCTION. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO A FUEL STATION, TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE, RESTARTED IT, BUT THE HORN WAS STILL NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,600.
IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT THE VEHICLE'S HORN STARTED WEAKENING OUT AND IT STOPPED WORKING. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT OTHER PEOPLE WHO OWNED AN MK6 (2011-2015) JETTA HAD THE SAME ISSUE ACROSS THE NATION. PLEASE ENFORCE THE VW TO OPEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS NOT FUNCTIONING WHEN VEHICLE IS IN 18 DEGREE AND BELOW TEMPERATURES FOR A FEW HOURS. WIPERS WORK FINE ONCE VEHICLE IS HEATED UP IN GARAGE OR OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE 18 DEGREES. REPLACEMENT WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY WAS DIAGNOSED AND REQUIRED TO CORRECT MALFUNCTION. WOULD LIKE VW TO REIMBURSE THE $537.03 OUT OF POCKET COSTS TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE/FAULTY PART. HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR SAME ISSUE ONLINE. THANKS AND HOPE VW IS LISTENING!
STALLING OF VEHICLE WHILE IN TRAFFIC; EPC LIGHT WILL TURN ON, BATTERY LIGHT; REPLACEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH REGARDS TO FUEL AND OIL LEAKAGE AND STALLING STILL OCCURS
IF THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE GOES BELOW APPROXIMATELY 15 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT, THE WIPERS FAIL TO OPERATE. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED, OR DURING OPERATION. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND FROM INDICATIONS ON THE INTERNET, IS A KNOWN SAFETY PROBLEM.
CRANK CASE IS NOT ON RECALL SO IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE COST IS 4200.00. AT WHAT POINT WILL IT GO ON RECALL. WITHOUT THE REPAIR THE CAR IS DEAD IN THE WATER. WARRANTY COMPANY WILL NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING THAT'S ON A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. ALSO CALLED VW VERIFIED IS ON THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION WHEN TURNING OFF THE ENGINE.
VEHICLE STALLS INTERMITTENTLY SINCE PURCHASE, COMMONLY WHEN EXITING A FREEWAY TO A STOP OR DURING RUSH HOUR(STOP/GO)TRAFFIC. BEFORE STALLING, VEHICLE WILL JERK, ROUGH IDLE, AND DELAY ACCELERATION. STALLING MAY OCCUR AT A STOP AFTER HIGH SPEED, HOWEVER STALLING HAS ALSO OCCURRED DURING DRIVING AFTER A HIGH SPEED TO LOW SPEED DEPARTURE. WHEN VEHICLE STALLS DURING DRIVING, BOTH THE WHEEL AND BRAKES LOCK UP COMMONLY. IT TAKES PUTTING IT IN NEUTRAL WHILE ROLLING AND ATTEMPTING TO START SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IGNITION KICKS IN. THIS HAS BEEN DANGEROUS AS THE ONLY BRAKING WOULD BE A GRADUAL EMERGENCY BRAKE PULL AND THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL STEERING, THANKFULLY I HAVE HAD STRAIGHTAWAYS THE TIMES IT HAS HAPPENED, HOWEVER I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO GO THROUGH RED LIGHTS WITH MY HAZARDS ON, LAYING ON THE HORN. VW HAS ATTEMPTED REPAIR 5 TIMES FOR SAME ISSUE WITH NO RESOLVE. LIGHTS AND CODES COME AND GO INTERMITTENTLY AFTER STALLING. ONE OR BOTH OF THE PREVIOUS ISSUES MENTIONED OCCURS ON A DAILY BASIS AS OF THE MOMENT. THE FTC, BBB, AND ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR THE STATE OF MICHIGAN HAVE ALL BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE SITUATION AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE RECOMMENDED I REPORT IT TO YOU.
WITHIN THREE TO FOUR DAYS I'VE HAD TWO DOOR WINDOWS BLOW OUT WHILE DRIVING. NOTHING HIT THE WINDOWS. ONE DAY I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE OTHER TIME I WAS DRIVING ONTO THE INTERSTATE RAMP GOING APPROXIMATELY 40 MILES/HOUR. THIS IS BAFFLING!

NHTSA CAMPAIGN #11V196000 MY FUSES BLOW, MY DRIVER WINDOW ROLLS DOWN, BUT INTERMITTENTLY WON'T ROLL UP. MY ENGINE CUTS OUT FOR NO REASON, WHILE IN MOTION AND STOPPED. HAPPENS WHEN SLOWING DOWN, EXITING OFF THE FREEWAY AND COMING TO A STOP IN TOWN. MY EPC, CHECK ENGINE , AND LIGHT SENSORS COME ON AND OFF AND DIFFERENT TIMES. 3 YEARS AGO I HAD MY ABS MODULE REPLACED. BUT CONTINUE TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES. LOOKING ONLINE I FOUND THE RECALL ABOVE, BUT WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER I WAS TOLD THIS ISN'T AN OPEN RECALL. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE 2014
CAR RADIO STOPPED FUNCTIONING WITHOUT ANY NOTICEABLE CAUSE. SCREEN COMPLETELY BLANK, DOES NOT RESPOND TO BUTTONS OR OTHER INPUT.
FOR ABOUT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN GETTING HARDER TO TURN ON AND OFF MY CAR, DUE TO THE KEY NOT WANTING TO TURN IN THE IGNITION. TODAY, I WENT TO PARK IN A SHOPPING AREA AND I COULDN'T TURN THE KEY AT ALL TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND LEFT THEM A MESSAGE AND TOLD THEM I'M ON MY WAY RIGHT NOW TO BRING MY CAR IN BECAUSE I CANNOT SHUT MY CAR OFF. MY CAR HAS 83,000 MILES ON IT AND I DO HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE SERVICE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER SAID THEY CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT FOR A WEEK AND A HALF AND IF ANYTHING IS WRONG WITH IT IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. OBVIOUSLY, SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH IT, THE CAR RUN WAS STILL RUNNING IN THE PARKING LOT AND THE KEY FEELS SO LOOSE IN THE IGNITION, IT FEELS LIKE IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO JUST FALL OUT. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE PART THAT I MIGHT NEED, IF ANYTHING IS WRONG WITH IT, WITH HAVE TO SHIP FROM GERMANY WHICH WOULD ADD ANOTHER WEEK. I MIGHT SEE MY CAR IN 3 WEEKS. MY DAUGHTER IS TAKING THIS CAR WITH HER BACK TO COLLEGE IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND I'M NOT FEELING TO GREAT ABOUT HER SAFETY RIGHT NOW WITH THIS CAR.

AFTER WIGGLING THE KEY INSIDE THE IGNITION SWITCH,THE KEY WOULD TURN AND THE ENGINE WAS STARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MIKE HAGGERTY VOLKSWAGEN IN OAKLAWN, CA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
THE KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE; THUS PREVENTING THE ENGINE FROM BEING ABLE TO BE TURNED OFF. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE CLOSE TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP, AND THEY HAD TO PULL OFF A RELAY FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. UPON REPLACING THE RELAY, I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR SO THAT I COULD DRIVE HOME. ONCE I GOT HOME AND ONCE AGAIN ATTEMPTED TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF, THE KEY ONCE AGAIN WOULD NOT TURN. THE MECHANIC AT THE SHOP SAID THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MY MODEL CAR BUT THAT VOLKSWAGEN REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM. UPON DOING A GOOGLE SEARCH TO SEE WHAT I CAN DO TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF, I FOUND A FEW HUNDRED PAGES DESCRIBING THE ISSUE, SO I'M SURE THIS IS FREQUENTLY HAPPENING. APPARENTLY, THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO HAVE THE FAILED PARTS REPLACED WHICH COSTS UPWARDS OF $600. ALSO, THE KEY HAS BEEN GETTING STUCK ON AND OFF FOR THE PAST YEAR, BUT IN EACH CASE, I WAS ABLE TO WIGGLE THE KEY SO THAT IT WOULD TURN OFF. TODAY, I WASN'T ABLE TO EVEN TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION FROM THE ON POSITION.
ENTIRE SOUND/RADIO SYSTEM SUDDENLY STOPPED THEREBY ELIMINATING MY BLUE TOOTH CONNECTIVITY FOR HANDSFREE PHONE USE
ONCE THE CAR IS STARTED AND ENGINE IS RUNNING, IT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT TO TURN THE KEY OFF AND STOP THE ENGINE. ON SATURDAY IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION AND REMOVE THE KEY WHEN WE WISHED TO PARK THE VEHICLE. WE HAD TO STALL THE ENGINE TO MAKE IT STOP RUNNING. THERE ARE MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS ONLINE IN VARIOUS VW FORUMS FOR MULTIPLE MODEL YEARS. WE WERE ONLY ABLE TO GET THE KEY OUT BY USING ONE OF THE TRICKS WE FOUND ONLINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA SPORTWAGEN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE GLOW PLUG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO A PARKING LOT AND WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (JOE HEIDT VOLKSWAGEN, 515 ROUTE 17 SOUTH, RAMSEY, NJ, 201-327-2900) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP CONTAINED PIECES OF METAL, WHICH CAUSED THE FUEL SYSTEM TO FAIL. ALSO, A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL WAS BAD. THE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM WAS REPLACED. PURCHASED 2011 VW JETTA CAR RECENTLY FOR MY DAUGHTER. IT DROVE OK FOR A SHORT WHILE BUT THEN LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING. FIRST THE RADIO TURNED OFF, THEN SEVERAL LIGHTS TURNED ON ON THE DASH AND THE STEERING BECAME HARD. FINALLY THE CAR TURNED OFF. I MANAGED TO PULL OFF THE FREEWAY. AFTER THIS, IT WOULD NOT START. WE TESTED THE BATTERY BUT IT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR BUT THAT ALSO DID NOT WORK. NOW I AM READING ABOUT MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS SAME MODEL BY OTHER OWNERS. I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT THIS BE INVESTIGATED AS A RECALL SINCE THERE ARE TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED. RECENTLY MY 2011 JETTA SPORTWAGEN'S EXTERIOR LIGHT DASHBOARD INDICATOR CAME ON. UPON INVESTIGATION I FOUND THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE EXTERIOR FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. INTERMITTENTLY OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS THEY WOULD WORK AND THEN FAIL AGAIN WITHOUT ANY REASON. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD I HAD ONE BULB OUT AND THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. AND THAT THEY HAD NEVER EVER HEARD OF THIS ISSUE IN ANY VOLKSWAGEN. THE SAME DAY THE LIGHTS FAILED AGAIN. I INVESTIGATED THIS TIME MYSELF AND FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE F16 FUSE. MY F16 FUSE WAS VISIBLY BURNT AND THE FUSE BOX WAS MELTED AT THE F16 SPOT. A NEW FUSE HAS TEMPORARILY FIXED THE PROBLEM, BUT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT A SAFETY ISSUE IF THIS IS MELTING THE FUSE BOX AND MY LIGHTS COULD FAIL AT A CRITICAL TIME.

I CANNOT TURN THE KEY OFF AND REMOVE IT OR LOCK MY CAR THE ENGINE KEEPS RUNNING
WHEN DRIVING THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF 4 OR 5 TIMES THEN IS PERFECTLY FINE THE REST OF THE TRIP. IT HAPPENS IN COLD AND HOT WEATHER. WHEN THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON, IT'S ALWAYS WHEN I LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR TO COME TO A STOP. ONCE I START MOVING AGAIN, THE LIGHT GOES OFF. THE CORRECT OIL/FILTER HAVE BEEN INSTALLED, VW DEALERSHIP SAID IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR WAS BAD. I CHANGED THE SENSOR AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING. WHILE RESEARCHING IT ON GOOGLE, IT APPEARS A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE, BUT NO ONE HAS A SOLUTION.VW DEALERSHIP HAS LIED TO ME BEFORE SO I DON'T TRUST THEM WORKING ON MY CAR.
ENGINE/CAR AT LOW SPEEDS BEGINS SHAKING AND REVS LIGHTS FLICKER CAR WILL EVEN SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVE HUGE SAFETY CONCERN! DEALER AND MECHANICS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE THE PROBLEM OUT. REPLACED CRANKSHAFT AND TIMING VALVES ALONG WITH OIL AND FLUIDS NEW AND RESET CAR COMPUTER. STILL NOT FIXED! RESEARCHED ON GOOGLE AND TONS OF OTHER VOLKSWAGEN OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING SAME ISSUES.
TURNED ON VEHICLE, WENT TO TURN ON THE STEREO, AND ONCE I HIT THE 'POWER' BUTTON, IT TURNED ON AND THEN THE SCREEN WENT BLACK, RESULTING IN THE COMPLETE LOSS OF THE HEAD UNIT, RADIO, BLUE TOOTH, AND CLOCK. FUSES WERE CHECKED IN BOTH THE FUSE BOX AND THE STEREO ITSELF, AND NO FUSES WERE BLOWN.
AFTER DRIVING FOR A WHILE, THE CAR ACTS AS IF ITS GOING TO RUN OUT OF GAS. THE CAR WILL START TO JERK AND IDLE VERY ROUGHLY IN WHICH A FEW TIMES IT HAS CUT OFF ON ME, ONCE TRYING TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY. HAD IT CHECKED OUT BY CERTIFIED VW DEALER WHERE THE CAR WAS BOUGHT, AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS A FAULTY N205 VALVE. HAD THE VALVE REPLACED AND 2 DAYS LATER THE CAR IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. TOOK IT BACK AND DEALER ONCE AGAIN SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM BY ADJUSTING SENSORS, BUT STILL THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING.
KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION WHEN TURNING OFF THE ENGINE. VEHICLE IS ALWAYS STATIONARY AND IN AND PARK. THIS IS HAPPENED MANY TIMES OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, AND IS NOW OCCURRING MORE FREQUENTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE, IT ROLLED BACKWARDS. THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE KEY FELL OUT OF THE IGNITION WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN PARK OR TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V615000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING). THE CONTACT CALLED BOZZANI VOLKSWAGEN AT 626-967-6325 (LOCATED AT 528 S CITRUS AVE, COVINA, CA 91723) AND WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. ADDITIONALLY, IN 2017, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT STOPPED ABRUPTLY. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION AND STRUCK HER CHEST ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CONTACT ALSO SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED, BUT NOT TOTALED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
IT'S NOW THE 5TH TIME THAT THIS HAPPEN. THE KEY CAN'T TURN OFF THE CAR! I CAN TURN ON THE SWITCH WITHOUT PROBLEM, BUT WHEN IS TIME TO TURN OFF WILL TAKE AROUND 20 MINUTES TO ACHIEVE IT!
