I had hit snd run By this car. IT looks like that Driver had attention to hurt me Moving in same line, I Made him space behind me than he hit on back, I was tih king tha he/she was trying to escape he moved again in right line but he again started to move in left side where I was driving. I hit part of shoulder and there is a damege on my car from the back side and both left side how he/she hit me and right side how I hit on shoulder. Than he/she was trying to run as crazy trought crowd but my car got only body damages and I was able to run after him/her and wrote down License plate. I am a Remitter agent, I was able to find only lien holder for this car but not yet the assigned owner. Hopfully I can get same help from you. Thanks.
We purchased the car in May 2021, within a week, the check engine light, EPC and oil lamp became illuminated. Contacted dealership who "inspected" it and said "nothing was wrong and reset the lights." A few weeks go by and the same thing. We noticed the car was "stuttering" during acceleration. We attempted to bring it to the dealership they couldn't inspect our vehicle because they didn't have "availability". My husband brought it to a local mechanic who recommended bringing it to the dealership again because of the codes it was throwing. We scheduled an appt which was 4 months out. During that time the oil was changed every 1.5 months because the lights kept coming on. Moved to Mississippi and the issues became worse. The vehicle would seem to lose power while driving on the interstate causing a Semi to veer into the other lane because the car went from 70mph to 20mph in a matter of seconds. Brought it to VW of South MS, was told Timing case, sealant, rail, tensioner, gasket, and several other things were needed to be replaced. Was told the vehicle was burning oil, lower timing cover was replaced and found bolts from tensioner broken and metal shavings. Was charged over $2500. 1 week later same exact issues occurred again. Brought it in, reset lights told us "it's fine" Few weeks of the car not being driven, happens again. We bring it back and they inform us of an array of "new issues" charges us $2000 and within a week the car is back for the same exact issue. I reviewed the recalls but it is saying none of them apply to my vehicle but they are the exact things that are going on. It is unsafe to drive the car. My husband will not allow me to drive it out of fear that it will stall and result in a serious MVA. Why isn't VW doing anything about this issue? How many people have to get injured or killed for them to conduct an investigation for this issue?
After owning the tires for 35000 miles the tires started to split on all four. Shaking was notice about a week before 5/22/21 when i got up to 65 miles an hour on the interstate. Tread life was good on the tires and the tire shop helped me get new ones. I had no warning and I rotated my tires every 4000 miles or so.

IN APRIL 1 2021 I WAS DRIVING FROM HOME TO MY JOB IN DCH TUSTIN ACURA DELAR IS 10 MIN DRIVE WHEN I TAKE THE EXIT OF FREEWAY I PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE CAR DON'T BRAKE , THE PEDAL GO ALL WAY DOWN AND THE CAR DON'T STOP , A TECHNICIAN SAID THAT IS A PROBLEM WHIT THE MASTER CYLINDER . WHAT CAN I DO NOW?.
The contact owns a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while the vehicle was being serviced for an inspection, she was informed that the horn was not functioning properly. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and had the horn repaired however, the failure recurred. The independent mechanic informed the contact that there was water in the horn and the horn needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,937.
UPON GOING TO THE BANK, I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF OR EVEN GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE HOME ONLY TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. UNABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF OR GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. I HAD TOTAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND WATS INFOMED THAT THEY HAD TO ORDER A PART, WHICH IS GOING TO COST A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY.
Excessive oil consumption over a short period of time - inspected by auto mechanic and VW dealer - no leaks and no buring of oil noted. Loosing a quart over the period of one month after an oil change - warning light comes on but when you are alone on the highway at night you cant always pull over.
GOT A RECALL FOR MY CAR'S FUEL RAIL IN DECEMBER 2020 AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A LETTER TO GET MY CAR FIXED. I THOUGHT MY CAR WAS FINE BUT A WEEK AFTER I GOT THE RECALL PAPER, I WENT TO START MY CAR AND IT STARTED SMELLING LIKE GASOLINE AND EVER SINCE THEN, MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY DRIVE WAY FOR 2 MONTHS NOW AND I NEED MY CAR FIX
MY CAR ALARM GOES OFF CONSISTENTLY WITHOUT ANY SIGNS OF BEING TAMPERED WITH. IF I TOUCH THE FUSE BOX OR OPEN MY DOORS THE ALARM WILL GO OFF WITH THE CAR UNLOCKED. WHILE THE CAR IS STARTED THE ALARM WILL GO OFF. ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT MY ALARM IS GOING OFF. IT KEEPS NOT ONLY MY FAMILY AWAKE BUT ALSO MY NEIGHBORS.

THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT DECLINED THE TRADE IN OFFER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WE HAVE A 2016 VW JETTA TSI 1.4L (EA211 ENGINE) WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. AT APPROXIMATELY 98,000 MILES, FUEL STARTED LEAKING FROM THE FUEL RAIL AREA, SLOWLY AT FIRST, JUST A SCENT OF FUEL. NEXT DAY, AT THE END OF THE DAY'S DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE JUST BEFORE MY EXIT ON THE HIGHWAY WITH A STRONG SMELL OF GAS. IT LIMPED 3 MILES HOME AND DIED AS I PULLED INTO THE DRIVE. WHEN WE MANAGED TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN IT GUSHED FUEL FROM THE FUEL RAIL AREA. THERE IS A PENDING RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BUT VOLKSWAGON DECLINED TO DO ANYTHING BEYOND A NORMAL PAID-FOR REPAIR WITH POTENTIAL REIMBURSEMENT (NOT GUARANTEED) UNTIL THE RECALL ISSUES LEAVING US WITHOUT A VEHICLE. WE HAVE A VIDEO DOCUMENTING THE FUEL LEAK.
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FOR A KNOWN ISSUE THAT THE ACTIVE GRILL SHUTTERS ARE STUCK IN THE OPEN OR CLOSE POSITION. THIS COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO OVER HEAT. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN CAR IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION.
VOLKSWAGON RELEASED RECALL NUMBER 24GI ON OCTOBER 14, 2020, THE SUMMARY OF WHICH STATES, "THE FUEL RAIL BOLTS ON AFFECTED VEHICLES MAY BECOME LOOSE OVER TIME. THIS CAN RESULT IN A FUEL LEAK. SAFETY RISK: LEAKING FUEL, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, MAY RESULT IN A VEHICLE FIRE." AS OF THE DATE JANUARY 19,2021, A REMEDY FOR THIS ISSUE IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE FROM EITHER THE MANUFACTURER OR THE DEALER
BOUGHT THESE TIRES AND TWICE NOTICED BUBBLES ON SIDEWALL APPEAR. HAPPENS 1 MONTH AFTER BEING NEW. MAYBE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE. HAD GET THEM REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY WITH LOW MILEAGE. TIRE BRAND MAVIS TIRE TRACTION CONTROL.
POSSIBLE FUEL RAIL SYSTEM DETACHED FROM CYLINDER FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED VEHICLE WAS IN IDLE WHEN ECM LIGHT WENT ON AND VEHICLE RPM WERE GOING CRAZY FROM 1-3 VEHICLE STALLED OUT AND SHUT OFF 4 TIMES
MY RADIO IN MY VW IS COMPROMISED. THE INDIVIDUALS IDENTITY THEMSELVES AS FBI AGENTS AND WHEN I SPEAK BACK TO AGENTS I AM TOLD, ' I'M NOT SUPPOSE TO SPEAK BACK TO AGENTS.' (CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG) THE VOLUME IN MY CAR IS BEING ADJUSTED AT THE CONFIDENCE OF THE AGENTS. WHEN THE AGENTS PUT THE VOLUME UP I CAN HEAR LOWER THE SPEAKER, WHICH INITIATES THE VOLUME BEING RAISED INSIDE MY CAR. WHEN THE VOLUME IS LOWERED INSIDE MY CAR BY THE AGENTS, IT ALLOWS THE AGENTS TO HEAR WHAT I'M SAYING INSIDE MY CAR. (MY ASSUMPTION) TODAY I TRIED ADJUSTING MY TREBLE, BASS AND MID-RANGE VOLUME AND WAS ABLE TO BUT NO CHANGES TO MY SYSTEM OCCURRED. THE SAME SITUATION IS OCCURRING WITH MY APPLE IPHONE WHEN I LISTEN TO MUSIC THROUGH AIR PODS VIA BLUETOOTH AND WIRED PODS. I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD BY THE AGENTS 'I SHOULD BEEN SHOT,' I DO FIND THIS VERY ALARMING AND A VIOLATION OF MY U.S. CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT.
THE CAR SEEMED TO HAVE A SUSPENSION PROBLEM. ROTORS AND STRUTS WENT OUT VERY FAST ON VEHICLE
SEAT BELTS NO LONGER WORKING EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVER SIDE. PASSAGES SIDE WILL NOT LOCK AND POPS OUT. ALL THREE BACK SEAT BELTS ARE STUCK AND WILL NOT RELEASE. I'VE HAD THE CAR ONLY A YEAR PURCHASED FROM DRIVETIME. THEN MY KEY GOT STUCK IN MY IGNITION AND COULD NOT TURN CAR OFF HAD TO RUSH TO DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT THE ISSUES HAD TO PAY FOR SOMETHING I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER. THEN HAD ISSUES WITH THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, AND TRUBO SUPERCHARGER ISSUES LOSING POWER. ALMOST WAS HIT MY A SEMI TRUCK ON THE FREEWAY FOR LOSING POWER TO MY CAR. THESE ISSUES I FEEL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ME A A CUSTOMER TO HAVE TO PAY FOR ONLY HAVING THE CAR A YEAR. THESE ISSUES ARE LIFE THREATENING. I WAS FORCED TO PURCHASED GAP AND THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR NOTHING TO BE COVERED! THIS CAR IS A LEMON, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT HAS IGNITION AND ENGINE ISSUES. THE CAR IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD.
ON JULY 1ST ,2020 UPON ARRIVAL TO A STORE ONCE IN PARK AND I TRIED TO TURN THE CAR OFF THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN AT ALL MEANING THE CAR WAS NOT ABLE TO BE SHUT OFF AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF TRYING TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL THINKING IT WAS LOCKED I FINALLY GOT THE CAR TO SHUT OFF AFTER GOOGLING IT AND READING MANY OTHER FORUMS THAT TALKED ABOUT THE SAME CAR ISSUE I WAS HAVING IT SAID TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND THEN TO TURN THE KEY SO I DID AND IT FINALLY SHUT OFF IT STAYED PARKED TILL JULY 6 TH THAT I WENT TO A FEW DIFFERENT MECHANICS IN TOWN I FOUND ONE THAT TRIED TO HELP SAME WITH HIM HE COULD NOT TURN THE KEY TO SHUT THE CAR OFF HE ADVISED ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BEING THAT IT WAS AN HOUR AWAY AND I WAS LOW ON GAS I HAD TO PUMP GAS WITH THE CAR RUNNING BECAUSE I AGAIN WAS NOT ABLE TO SHUT THE CAR OFF WHICH I FELT UNSAFE DOING BUT AT THIS POINT I NO LONGER KNEW WHAT TO DO I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE LEAVING SHE SAID THEY WERE BACKED UP BUT TO COME DOWN AND THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP UPON ARRIVAL AT THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT HELP ME UNTIL FRIDAY!! WHILE THE WORKER WAS SITTING IN MY CAR AND HE HIMSELF COULD NOT SHUT OFF I TOLD HIM WHERE IN THE PARKING LOT SHOULD I LEAVE IT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WAY THAT I COULD TAKE IT HOME AND LEAVE IT RUNNING FOR 3 DAYS THEY PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING AND ALREADY HAD THE HOOD UP TRYING TO SHUT THE CAR OFF THEY CALLED AND SAID IT WOULD BE 740.00 PLUS TAXES MIND YOU IT ALREADY HAD A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT FOR THE 13TH FOR 2 RECALLS IT HAD ALREADY.
OFTEN IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN THE KEY BACK TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF; SEEMS TO BE MECHANICAL FAILURE OF THE IGNITION SWITCH. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON AND PERVASIVE PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE REPORTING BEING UNABLE TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF FOR HOURS. WILL HAVE TO HAVE THIS FIXED AT PROBABLY GREAT EXPENSE, AS IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT SAFE TO HAVE A CAR IDLE UNATTENDED FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. *TR

I DRIVE A 2016 VW JETTA ,MY EPC LIGHT CAME ON.WHEN I MADE AN APPT WITH THE VW DEALER, THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC ON MY CAR WITH THE CODE P22630,WHICH IS THE TURBOCHARGER /BOOST. THE COST FOR THE PART IS ABOUT $ 2500. FOR A CAR THAT IS ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD AND HAVING A MAJOR REPAIR ISSUE ,IAM SO DISAPPOINTED AND FEEL NOT SAFE AT ALL. HOW CAN A TURBO CHARGER BOOST BREAK ALREADY!!!! THATS MY COMPLAINT. ANYONE ELSE HAS A PROBLEM LIKE THAT?

THE POLICE WAS CONTACTED FOR ASSISTANCE, AND AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, AN OFFICER REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOMS RIVER VOLKSWAGEN (256 NJ-37, TOMS RIVER, NJ 08753) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED PRIOR TO ANY REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,300.

THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ALSO INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TWO UNKNOWN SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

The contact owns a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal chemical odor entering the cabin of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer however, failure was undetermined. The contact was informed that the air conditioning assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.
KEY GETS STUCK IN THE CAR IGNITION, MAKING IT EXTREMELY HARD TO GET KEY OUT FROM CAR
WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY VEHICLE'S ENGINE SHUTS OFF UNEXPECTEDLY THEN BRAKES AND STEERING WON'T WORK PROPERLY. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON! VEHICLE DID NOT RESTART. CALLED VW ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND HAD IT TOWED TO SOUTH MOTORS VW DEALERSHIP ON SOUTH DIXIE AND 179 ST. MIAMI. VW CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG WITH THE CAR.
THE HEATED SEAT PAD HAS BEGUN BURNING A HOLE INTO DRIVER SIDE SEAT. IF NOT CAREFUL, WILL BURN SKIN WHILE FABRIC IS STILL OVER THE PAD. THIS IS HAPPENING WHEN THE SEAT IS TURNED ON AND IS CAUSING A BURNING SMELL IN THE VEHICLE.
CAR MAKES A JOLTING/THRUSTING MOVE (DOWNSHIFTS) BETWEEN 20 AND 40 MPH. SEEMS LIKE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING SENSORS ARE ACTIVATED OR RELEASING AT THESE MPH.
VEHICLE ABRUPTLY BOGGED OUT AND DIED DRIVING STRAIGHT AHEAD AT NORMAL SURFACE ROAD TRAFFIC SPEED (CITY STREET), SUBSEQUENT RESTART ATTEMPTS, TWICE (2) PRODUCED STRONG ODOR OF FUEL AND LARGE PUDDLE OF FUEL UNDERNEATH AUTOMOBILE. FUEL RAIL, MANIFOLD AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS FAILURE PER REPAIR ORDER FROM DEALER SERVICE.
REAR VIEW CAMERA DOESN'T WORK ALL THE TIME SHOW ERROR ON THE SCREEN ' PARKPILOT IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE' I CAN'T USE THE CAMERA ON REVERSE THE REASON TO BOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE HAD A REAR CAMERA!!
KEY IS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR. CAR HAS 21,033 MILES AND DEALERSHIP FOUND IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER AND HOUSING FAILURE ON VEHICLE AND ADVISED REPLACING BOTH. DECLINED REPAIR AND WAS LATER CONTACTED WITH AN OFFER TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR FOR 50% OF THE ORIGINAL QUOTE. REPAIR HAS STILL NOT BEEN MADE WHILE I GET SMART ABOUT THIS.
MY DAUGHTER WAS INVOLVED IN A MVA IN WHICH SHE SLAMMED ON HER BRAKES AND THE BRAKES LOCKED ON HER. SHE HIT THE REAR OF THE OTHER VEHICLE. SHE WAS GOING ROUGHLY 25-30 MPH. SHE WAS ROUGHLY 30-40 FEET AWAY FROM THE OTHER VEHICLE WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. HER AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHICH CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE DONE TO HER CAR IS ROUGHLY $6500. I RESEARCHED BOTH ISSUES AND IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN THE VW JETTA.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CAPITAL VOLKSWAGEN (LOCATED AT 3963 W TENNESSEE ST, TALLAHASSEE, FL 32304, (850) 692-5609) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I JUST BOUGHT MY JETTA A WEEK AGO AND AS I DRIVING I'M NOTICING THE CAR TAKES AT LEAST A GOOD 5 SECONDS TO ACCELERATE AND WHEN IT DOES ACCELERATE IT TAKES OFF ALSO WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES THEY DON'T WORK I DON'T BELIEVE A CAR WITH 34,000 MILES SHOULD BE HAVING THESE UNSAFE PROBLEMS I'M ALMOST SCARED TO DRIVE THE CAR
SHORTLY AFTER I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE (USED AT AROUND 73K MILES) THE TURBO FAILED. I THOUGHT THAT WAS ODD AT THE MILEAGE SO I ATTEMPTED TO SUBMIT A CLAIM TO VOLKSWAGEN. I WAS DENIED. MY HUSBAND WAS ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THE TURBO FAILED AND THE CAR BEGAN TO SLOW AND LAG WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE. HE PULLED OVER AND CALLED TGE TOW TRUCK AND WHEN I TOOK IT IN TO VOLKWAGEN THE SERVICE MANAGER SUGGESTED THAT I REACH OUT TO VOLKSWAGEN TO SUBMIT A CLAIM BECAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS TOO EARLY FOR THAT KIND OF FAILURE.
MY VEHICLE HAS STARTED TO HESITATE WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE RANDOMLY. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME I DRIVE BUT IT HAPPENS MULTIPLE TIMES PER WEEK. I WILL PRESS MY GAS, AND MY CAR WILL HESITATE, I HEAR IT REVVING BUT MY RPMS GO NOWHERE. IT'S ALMOST LIKE IT'S NOT CATCHING. THIS WILL OCCUR FOR AROUND 5 SECONDS, LEAVING ME INCAPABLE OF MOVING. IT HAS LEFT ME STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTIONS, TAKING UNSAFE TURNS OUT OF PARKING LOTS, ETC. IT IS A VERY SCARY ISSUE. HOWEVER, NO CHECK ENGINE OR OTHER LIGHTS ILLUMINATE AT THAT MOMENT, AND NO CODES ARE FOUND WHEN THE CAR IS SCANNED. I HAVE A SPRINT DRIVE DEVICE THAT IS CONSTANTLY PLUGGED IN TO THE OEM PORT AND IT HAS NEVER PICKED UP ON AN ISSUE WHICH MAKES DIAGNOSIS VERY DIFFICULT. THIS LEAVES ME IN SERIOUS FEAR OF DRIVING MY CAR THAT I JUST PURCHASED CERTIFIED USED 3 MONTHS AGO, WITH LESS THAN 30,000 MILES ON IT. I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER ISSUE WHERE THE SAME SET OF LIGHTS COME ON EVERY TIME I DRIVE- ABS, TIRE PRESSURE, AIRBAG, TRACTION/ANTI-SKID, AND STEERING WHEEL LIGHT ALL COME ON AT THE SAME TIME... BUT NOT SURE IF THEY'RE RELATED BECAUSE THEY DON'T INITIATE SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE DELAY IN ACCELERATION.
WHEN THE CAR GETS STARTED I HAVE AIRBAG LIGHT, POWER STEERING LIGHT, TIRE, PRESSURE LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ALL ON. THE LIGHTS STAY ON. BUT THE CAR DRIVES OKAY. THE LIGHTS DO NOT GO OFF. FOR A WHILE THEY WOULD TURN OFF AFTER A FEW MINS. NOW THEY STAY ON WHILE DRIVING.
THIS IS AN IGNITION PROBLEM. WHILE BEING PARKED HAVING TROUBLE TURNING OFF ENGINE, KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION, STEERING WHEEL IS NOT LOCKED. SPARE KEY DOES THE SAME THING. THE SAFETY MECHANISM THAT PREVENTS YOU FROM TURNING THE KEYS FURTHER WHEN CAR IS ALREADY ON IS NO LONGER SHUTTING THE CAR OFF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ENGAGED IN PARK AND TURNED OFF, IT ROLLED AWAY AND CRASHED INTO TWO OTHER VEHICLES. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE HIS CHILD AND ANOTHER CHILD WERE OCCUPYING THE REAR SEATS WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V615000 (STEERING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT CALLED AN UNKNOWN DEALER AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL; HOWEVER, OTHER 2016 JETTAS WERE INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 57,000.
IGNITION CYLINDER AND HOUSING ISSUES . KEY GOT STUCK IN IGNITION AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF THE CAR . THE CAR WAS ON AND RUNNING FOR 4 HOURS STRAIGHT WHILE I WAITED FOR AAA TO TOW IT TO THE DEALERSHIP . I HAD TO REPLACE THE CYLINDER , BOLT AND STEER LOCK .
"BRAKE FAILURE" SON WAS DRIVING VEHICLE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. THE CAR IN FRONT OF HIM STARTED TO GO HE SLOWLY FOLLOWED. HE WAS GOING ABOUT 10-15MPH, AND THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF HIM SLAMMED ON BRAKES SUDDENLY. WHEN CAUSED HIM TO HAVE TO BRAKE. WHEN HE HIT THE BRAKES HE HEARD A BOOM ( SOUNDED LIKE A TIN CAN CRUSHING) AND THE CONTINUED TO SLIDE INTO THE TOYOTA TACOMA IN FRONT OF HIM. THE JETTA IS A TOTAL LOSS.
I BOUGHT MY CAR CERTIFIED PREOWNED FROM A VW DEALERSHIP IN JUNE WITH 20,000 MILES. WITHIN A MONTH OF PURCHASE, ACCESSORY LIGHTS BEGAN ILLUMINATING RANDOMLY AND THEN SWITCHING BACK OFF. IT IS ALWAYS THE SAME SET OF LIGHTS- ABS, TIRE PRESSURE, AIRBAG, TRACTION/ANTI-SKID, AND STEERING WHEEL LIGHT ALL COME ON AT THE SAME TIME. NOW THEY COME ON EVERY TIME I DRIVE AND NEVER TURN OFF. I DON'T NOTICE A DIFFERENCE IN THE DRIVING, BUT THE LIGHTS ARE WORRISOME. I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER ISSUE WHERE OCCASIONALLY WHEN I ACCELERATE THE CAR FAILS TO "PICK UP" OR ACCELERATE FOR LIKE 5 SECONDS, AND THEN IT CATCHES AND THE CAR CONTINUES TO RUN SMOOTHLY FROM THEN ON... BUT I'M UNSURE IF THEY'RE RELATED.
THE KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR CANNOT BE TURNED OFF.
HEADLIGHT AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT WIRING MELTED HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE, SKID, AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WALLACE VOLKSWAGEN (2805 SE FEDERAL HWY, STUART, FL 34994, (772) 219-0007) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW WHEEL SPEED SENSOR NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT ANOTHER WHEEL SPEED SENSOR NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
