BRAKES WERE MAKING NOISE TOOK INTO DEALERSHIP TO BE CHECK OUT AND WAS INFORMED FRONT PADS LOW ON PAD LIFE AND ROTORS WARPED AND NEED REPLACEMENT ASAP. ROTORS WARPED TO THE POINT OF NEEDING REPAIR, AT 30000 MILES. THE CAR IS KEPT IN ARIZONA IN A DRY CLIMATE, NO RAIN, NO HILLS, MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING WITH LITTLE BRAKING AND FOR THE LAST 8 MONTHS, MINIMAL USE DUE TO STAY AT HOME ORDERS. DEALER HAS NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THESE PARTS FAILED WHEN THEY SHOULD LAST TO 60000 MILES AT LEAST. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNHEARD OF ON A VEHICLE THAT IS NOT EVEN 2 YEARS OLD AND ONLY 30000 MILES. VOLKSWAGEN NEEDS TO DO SOME SERIOUS RESEARCH AND POSSIBLY ISSUE A RECALL. DEALERSHIP QUOTED $553.00 FOR FRONT BRAKE PAD & ROTORS REPLACEMENT...
VEHICLE HAS 30,000 MILES ON IT AND THE CHECK COOLANT LEVEL WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND FIRST WAS TOLD IT HAD A COOLANT LEAK AND NEEDED A NEW THERMOSTAT. A LITTLE LATER THE DEALERSHIP THEN APOLOGIZED AND SAID THAT WAS FOR A DIFFERENT VEHICLE AND OURS WAS JUST LOW ON COOLANT. I WAS TOLD THIS IS NOT ABNORMAL AS FLUIDS NEED TO TOPPED OFF PERIODICALLY.
STARTED VEHICLE IN MORNING WENT BACK INSIDE TO GRAB BAGS AND WATER WHILE CAR WARMED UP. CAME BACK AND SAT IN DRIVERS SEAT. CAR CENTER SCREEN NOTATED - AUTO/STOP ERROR AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I PUT CAR IN REVERSE TO BACK OUT OF DRIVEWAY. NO BRAKES AT ALL. I HAD TO PUSH DOWN ON BRAKE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD TO STOP CAR. LUCKILY WAS NOT OUT OF DRIVEWAY. PUT CAR IN PARK AND TURNED OFF AND TURNED CAR BACK ON. SAME FAULTS CAME ON DASHBOARD AND SCREEN. AS WELL AS AIRBAG FAULT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.

EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGES WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WITH NOTHING ELSE ON THE ROAD. DOOR LOCKED ON HER AND SHE HAD TO CLIMB THOUGHT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. RECEIVED SEVERAL MORE MALFUNCTION ALERTS. TOOK THE CAR TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP (200 MILE ROUND TRIP). FIRST I WAS TOLD THE CODES WERE CAUSED BY A NON-VW DIAGNOSTICS COMPUTER. THEN, THEY SAID IT WAS A DEAD BATTERY IN THE FOB. THEN THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE THE CAR WAS FILTHY. IT WAS SNOWING AND I HAD JUST DRIVEN OVER 100 MILES THROUGH SNOW ON A SALTED ROAD. OF COURSE IT WAS DIRTY. BUT, IT WAS CLEAN WHEN I LEFT THE HOUSE. THEY REFUSED TO DO ANY WORK EXCEPT TO CHANGE THE BATTERY IN MY FOB. I CHANGED THE BATTERY IN MY WIFE'S FOB WHEN I GOT HOME. I ALSO CLEANED THE CAR INSIDE AND OUT. AS SOON AS MY WIFE WENT BACK TO WORK, ALL THE CODES CAME BACK ON. WHEN THE BRAKES AUTOMATICALLY COME ON WHILE DRIVING ON ICY ROADS, THIS COULD BE A MAJOR PROBLEM. I WAS GETTING READY TO PULL OUT OF TACO BELL (JUST LEFT DRIVE THRU WINDOW AND PULLING UP TO CROSS THE STREET) WHEN THE ERROR MESSAGE "ONLY EXIT VEHICLE IN P POSITION" & "SERVICE VEHICLE SOON" POPPED UP AND HAS THE ORANGE TRIANGLE(WITH EXCLAMATION MARK IN IT) LIT UP
INTERMITTENT SMOKE SMELL COMING FROM THE LF DOOR. (10 DAYS AGO DEALER SAID OPERATING PER DESIGN AND INTENT WHEN COMPARED TO SIMILAR OR LIKE VEHICLE.) WINDOW SEAL HAS COME COME OFF 4 TIMES. LAST NIGHT CAR HAD BEEN PARKED AROUND 5AM AND WHEN I WENT OUT TO THE CAR AROUND 5:30PM THE POWER WINDOW SWITCH HAD MELTED DESTROYING THE SWITCH AND THE LF DOOR PANEL.
MY CAR IS BURNING OIL AND RUNNING VERY WELL BEFORE THE 10K RECOMMENDED INTERVALS. MY CAR IS ONLY 1 YEAR OLD AND EVERY MONTH I HAVE TO ADD A HALF A QUART OF OIL SO I DONT FORGET TO CHECK AND RUN OUT OF OIL AND GET THE OIL LIGHT. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS VEHICLE BURNING OIL. VW SAYS ITS NORMAL TO RUN LOW AFTER 1000 MILES...?? HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE? LUCKILY I CHANGE MY OIL MORE FREQUENTLY THAN EVERY 10K MILES AND NOTICED IT WAS 2 QUARTS LOW.
NOISE ON DRIVELINE 25 TO 35 UNDER LIGHT THROTTLE ESPECIALLY IN ECO MODE. SOUNDS LIKE METALLIC RATTLE. MOMENTARILY LOSES POWER AT THAT TIME. ALSO, WHEN IN ANY SELECTION EXCEPT SPORT MODE IT DOESN'T SHIFT DOWN UNY GEARS UNTIL ALMOST WOTH THROTTLE FLOORED. THEN SHIFTS DOWN 2 OR 3 GEARS AND RACES AT A FAST SPEED.
I HAVE ABOUT 14, 000 MILES ON THE CAR AND IT BURNS THROUGH ENGINE OIL VERY QUICKLY. SOMETIMES I CAN EVEN SMELL THE BURNING OIL. TWICE THE ADD OIL LIGHT HAS COME ONE. IT SEEMS THAT A CAR THIS NEW SHOULDN'T BURN OIL LIKE THIS. DEALER SAYS THIS IS NORMAL. COULD IT BE THAT THE OIL IS TOO THIN? I HAVE NO IDEA, BUT FRUSTRATING.
AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE IT SIMPLY STALLS FROM THE BEGINNING. I HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY PRESS THE GAS PETAL TO GET IT TO GO. ONCE IT IS RUNNING AND I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IT WILL STALL AGAIN WHEN I TRY TO GO FORWARD AND PROCESS REPEATS ITSELF. ALSO, ONCE IN MOTION SOMETIMES THE ENGINE ( SEEMS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION) SEEMS TO SLIP INTO ANOTHER GEAR. I AM PETRIFIED TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE STALLING. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT NUMEROUS AMOUNTS OF TIMES. SOMETIMES FROM A TAKEOFF POSITION IT SIMPLY WILL NOT GO. IT IS A HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE. I HAVE ALREADY REPORTED THE GRINDING NOISE THAT THE CAR MAKES BETWEEN 20 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR. I TOOK IT TO BE SERVICED FOR THE GRINDING NOISE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THEY RODE WITH ME ON ONE OCCASION AND SAW THAT IT STALLED BUT THEY STATED IT WAS BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE THAT KIND OF ENGINE. I FEEL THAT I AM GOING TO DIE OR BE SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THIS VEHICLE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW AND PAID CASH. NO WORDS TO SAY HOW DEVASTATED I AM . AFTER ALL THE CONTROVERSY ABOUT THE GRINDING ENGINE, I DOUBT I COULD EVER EVEN TRADE IT IN FOR NEW ONE. THANK YOU
REAR PASSENGER SEAT BELT CAME UNBUCKLED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AFTER HITTING THE BREAKS TO STOP UNEXPECTEDLY. MY DAUGHTER WENT FLYING INTO THE BACK OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, NOW THE BUCKLE WILL NOT KEEP A LATCH.

HELLO ON AUG 21, 2020 WE PURCHASED A USED JETTA FROM NAPLETON VOLKSWAGEN OF SANFORD. AT THE TIME WE ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND THE SALESPERSON RESPONDED NO. WE DID A VIN SEARCH ON THE VEHICLE AT YOUR WEB SITE AND WE SEE NO OPEN RECALLS. WE CALLED VOLKSWAGEN CORPORATE AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS. THE SALES MANAGER FROM THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN CALLING ALMOST DAILY, STATING THAT WE NEED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE AS IT IS UNDER RECALL AND VOIKSWAGEN FINANCIAL WILL NOT PROCEED WITH THE FINANCING UNTIL THE RECALL IS FIXED. I DON'T UNDERTAND WHY THEY ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS AN UNSATISFIED RECALL MEASURE ON THE VEHICLE WHEN I CAN'T FIND SUCH RECALL. WHEN I ASKED THE SALES MANAGER FOR THE RECALL NOTICE HE REFUSES TO PROVIDE IT. I'M VERY CONCERNED THAT THAT DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE IN THEIR POSSESION, RECEIVED RECALL NOTICES, MARKED THEM AS COMPLETE AND NEVER ACTUALLY REPAIRED THAT VEHICLE. HOW I CAN I BE SURE THAT ALL RECALLS HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED. WHEN I AS FOR THE SERVICE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE THE SALES MANAGER SAYS HE WILL PROVIDE BUT HAS NOT.

THE CLUTCH IS WEARING OUT IN 6,000 MILES. THE ORIGINAL CLUTCH WAS REPLACED AROUND 6,000 MILES. THE SECOND CLUTCH IS NOW IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT AFTER ANOTHER 6,000 MILES.

2019 JETTA S. BEGAN STALLING AFTER 6 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. CAR WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW WITH 62 MILES. BROUGHT VEHICLE TO DEALER 09/27/2019 AND THEY STATED IT WAS FINE NO ISSUES COULD BE FOUND. ON 05/18/2020 THE CAR STALLED AGAIN IT HAD 15452 MILES ON IT. IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY KEPT THE CAR UNTIL 07/25/2020 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY STATED IT WAS FIXED. ON 07/30/2020 THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN, AND THIS TIME THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND I LOST CONTROL AND CRASHED INTO A CENTER MEDIAN WITH LARGE BOULDERS IN IT. IF THEY WERE NOT THERE I WOULD HAVE CONTINUED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I WAS TRAVELING AT 45 MPH WHEN THE IMPACT OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEMS DID NOT DEPLOY BECAUSE THE CARS ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING AT THE TIME OF IMPACT.
I PURCHASED THE 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA IN DECEMBER OF 2018. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS ROUGHLY 50K MILES. WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED IT HAD 38K MILES WHEN I FIRST NOTICED A WEIRD SMELL COMING FROM MY AIR VENTS. I WAS CURRENTLY DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I NOTICED THAT SMELL, PULLED OVER AND OPENED THE HOOD TOO THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE BATTERY HAD EXPLODED!! I RIGHT AWAY CONTACTED VOLKSWAGEN CUSTOMER CARE AND NOTIFIED THEM OF THE INCIDENT THAT HAD JUST OCCURRED TO ME. THEY MENTIONED I HAD BUMPER TOO BUMPER WARRANTY, SO I TOOK IN THE CAR TOO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE THEY MENTIONED THAT THE BATTERY WAS NO LONGER COVERED. THE NEW BATTERY THAT WAS REPLACED ISN'T THE ORIGINAL ONE THAT CAME WITH THE CAR WHEN PURCHASED. I ALSO MENTIONED TOO THE SERVICE TECH THAT AIR BAG , ABS, BRAKE BOOSTER, CPU APPEARED ON MY SPEEDOMETER. THE DEALERSHIP HAD THE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT 2WEEKS AND ALSO NOTICED THAT THE ACID FROM THE BATTERY HAD MELTED DOWN THE WIRING HARNESS, AC LINES, AND SUSPENSION COMPONENTS. I'M CURRENTLY STILL DEALING WITH CUSTOMER CAR BECAUSE NOTHING WAS DONE FROM THEIR END, EVERYDAY THE CAR HAS A NEW ISSUE, I CALL AND ALL THEY SAY IS TOO TAKE IT BACK AND THEY'LL TAKE A LOOK AT IT. I PURCHASED THIS NEW VEHICLE SO I WOULDN'T BE DEALING WITH ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE WORST!! I NO LONGER WANT TOO DEAL WITH THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I GET NOTHING OUT OF IT, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF ANYTHING OF THIS COULD HELP ME OUT IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO VILLAGE VOLKSWAGEN OF CHATTANOOGA, 6001 INTERNATIONAL DR, CHATTANOOGA, TN 37421, AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT'S THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED THAT WAY AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
I WAS DRIVING WHEN I WENT TO SHIFT FROM SECOND TO THIRD THE CLUTCH WOULD NOT RETURN. HAD THE CAR FOR LESS THAN 400 MILES THE CAR HAD ALREADY 2600 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I WAS ASSURED THERE WERE NO OTHER PROBLEMS WITH IT AND THE DEALER IS TRYING TO MAKE IT THAT I HAD BURNED THE CLUTCH I.E A WEAR ISSUE AFTER DRIVING FOR TWO WEEKS. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY THIS COULD HAPPEN AFTER SUCH A SHORT TIME. I AM IN DEALINGS WITH BOTH VOLKSWAGEN AND THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THIS ISSUE FIXED. IT WAS VERY SCARY TO HAVE A CAR GIVE OUT LIKE THAT WHILE DRIVING AND SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. *TR
TRANSMISSION IS MAKING THIS AWFUL GRINDING NOISE AND WHEN IT MAKES THE NOISE THE VEHICLE HAS LITTLE POWER TO ACCELERATE. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THIS WAS NORMAL. IVE NEVER HAD A CAR MAKE SUCH AN AWFUL NOISE FROM THE TRANSMISSION CAUSING IT TO LOSE POWER. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2000 MILES IT NEVER DID THAT PRIOR TO THE 2K MILE MARK. THE CAR HAS 6800 MILES ON IT AND IT DOES THIS EVERYTIME I DRIVE NOW.
I HAVE A 2019 VW JETTA GLI BOUGHT NEW FROM VW DEALER. WHEN YOU FIRST START THE CAR IN THE MORNING OR AFTER ITS BEEN SITTING, BASICALLY COLD, IT IDLES VERY ROUGH. THE WHOLE CAR VIBRATES AND SHAKES. AFTER THE CAR WARMS UP THIS GOES AWAY. THE RIDE OF THE CAR FEELS LIKE THERE IS NO SUSPENSION. YOU FEEL EVERY BUMP IN THE ROAD. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN MOTION SICK FROM A VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING. THIS CAR GIVES ME MOTION SICKNESS EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT. I HAVE HAD OTHERS DRIVE THE CAR AND REPORT THE SAY THING. I HAVE HAD PASSENGERS IN THE CAR AND THEY CAN'T BELIEVE HOW HARD THE RIDE IS. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE MODES ECO, NORMAL, SPORT AND THEY ALL HAVE A HORRIBLE RIDE QUALITY. THE WORST THING IS I WAS DRIVING THE CAR HOME AFTER WORK AND WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT THE A/C STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR. AFTER COMING OFF THE RED LIGHT I STARTED SMELLING FUEL COMING FROM THE A/C SYSTEM. THE A/C SYSTEM WAS ON MAX A/C WITH THE RECIRC ON, SO WAS NOT ON FRESH AIR. PULLED OVER, OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW FIRE COMING FROM BETWEEN THE ENGINE AND FIREWALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I DROPPED THE HOOD AND THE FIRE BALL SHOT OUT THE SIDE PASSENGER SIDE RIGHT BEHIND THE PASSENGER FRONT TIRE. THE SIDE AND UNDER CARRIAGE OF THE CAR WAS ON FIRE AND IS BURNT UP. I CURRENTLY DRIVE A 2019 VW JETTA GLI 6MT. MUCH LIKE OTHER CONCERNS REPORTED, MY VEHICLE HAS ENGINE CUTTING, MASSIVE ENGINE POWER LOSS DURING THE SUMMER RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE ALMOST STALLING, AND ROUGH IDLE. I COMPLETED THE MANDATORY RECALL BACK IN DECEMBER PER VW'S RECOMMENDATION THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX EXACTLY THE CONCERNS I HAVE. THEY DO NOT. VOLKSWAGEN ADMITS THAT MY VEHICLE HAS WHAT IS REFERRED TO AS ENGINE TIMING RETARDATION. THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE VEHICLE'S POWER LOSS, BUT SAYS THAT RUNNING ANYTHING LESS THAN PREMIUM IN THE CAR CAN CAUSE THIS (EVEN THOUGH THEY ADVERTISE THE VEHICLE AS BEING ELIGIBLE FOR REGULAR FUEL). VOLKSWAGEN HAS OPENLY ADMITTED THAT THEY ARE HAPPY TO SELL A VEHICLE WITH ENGINE TIMING ISSUES, BORDERLINE STALLING, HEAT SOAK ISSUES, AND FALSE ADVERTISING PERTAINING TO THE FUEL THE CAR TAKES. IN VOLKSWAGEN'S OWN WORDS, 'THE VEHICLE IS OPERATING TO SPEC.' I WILL BE DEMANDING A BUYBACK. *TR
JETTA S MANUAL TRANSMISSION. CLUTCH IS BURNED AFTER 10K MILES/14 MONTHS OF USAGE. HAS SHOWN PROBLEMS FOR A WHILE, DEALER CLAIMS NOT ABLE TO REPRODUCE. THE ISSUE IS THAT CLUTCH GETS STUCK AFTER STARTING TO MOVE, AND A STRONG BURN SMELL COMES FROM ENGINE. THIS TIME CAR STALLED WHILE ENTERING HIGHWAY (1ST GEAR, 2ND GEAR FAILS TO ENGAGE, CAR GOES IN NEUTRAL AND LOSES SPEED). DEALER SAYS CLUTCH IS BURNED DUE TO WEAR ISSUE, ASSUMES DRIVER HAS BEEN RIDING THE CLUTCH (FALSE, I'VE DRIVEN MANUAL CARS FOR OVER 30 YEARS), AND WANTS AUTHORIZATION TO VERIFY FLY WHEEL BUT WARNS IT WILL BE AT LEAST $2,200 TO FIX, UNLESS SOME SPECIFIC PROBLEM IS FOUND. DEALER SAYS THERE ARE NO ISSUES REPORTED BY VW. *TR
MAKES A LOUD GRINDING NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING. DEALERSHIP TRIES TO SAY IT'S NORMAL. FEEL VIBRATIONS IN GAS PEDAL. HAPPENS USUALLY BETWEEN 20-40 MPH. RPM GAUGE APPEARS TO STICK. LOOKED UP COMPLAINTS AND THERE ARE SEVERAL MATCHING WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING. A CERTIFIED MECHANIC NOT ASSOCIATED WITH DEALERSHIP THINKS IT'S A BAD TORQUE CONVERTER OR TRANSMISSION ISSUE. VW SAYS IT'S NORMAL AND REFUSES TO FIX IT.
RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2019 VW JETTA AND HAVING THE SAME ISSUES THAT MANY OF THE OTHER OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING. UNDER LOW ACCELERATION IT STALLS AND MAKES A GRINDING, WHIRRING SOUND BELOW 20-30 MPH. IT MAKES ME TIMID TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED PEOPLE TO REAR END ME DUE TO THE STALL. IT FALLS ON ITS FACE WHEN YOU NEED IT TO MOVE. I'M CONCERNED AS THE NOISE HAS GOTTEN LOUDER THE LAST FEW MONTHS. I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP YET, BUT NOW UPON READING ALL OF THE CONCERNS, IT SEEMS TO BE A WASTE OF TIME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER.
GRINDING SOUND IN TRANSMISSION BETWEEN 35-45 MPH. WHEN THIS SOUND IS HEARD THE VEHICLE LOOSES POWER AND IS VERY RELUCTANT TO DOWNSHIFT. IT CAN BE HEARD IN ANY DRIVING MODE BUT IS WORSE IN "NORMAL" AND ALMOST NOT DRIVABLE IN "ECO". VW REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE ISSUE AND SAYS IT IS NORMAL, BUT IS IS ANYTHING BUT NORMAL FOR A CAR TO BEHAVE THIS WAY.
GRINDING / SCRAPING NOISE SHIFTING FROM AROUND 3RD TO 4TH GEAR WHEN TRAVELING AT LOW SPEEDS.
I WAS OUT TODAY AT A STORE AND MY EPC LIGHT CAME ON. I COULDN'T START MY CAR
WHEN I'M DRIVING THE CAR WILL JUST STALL OUT OF NOWHERE, THEN AFTER THIS HAPPENS I WOULD START THE VEHICLE BACK UP AND IT WILL CUT OFF
SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN MARCH OF 2020, THERE HAS BEEN A SCRAPING NOISE AS IF METALS WERE GRINDING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. IT HAPPENS WITH SLOW ACCELERATION BETWEEN 20MPH AND 35MPH. POSSIBLE SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 3RD AND 5TH GEAR. THIS NOISE HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I HAVE BOUGHT THE CAR NEW FROM THE DEALER. IT WAS NEW WITH 9,000 MILES AS IT WAS BEING USED AS A LOANER CAR (WAITING TO BE SOLD.)
I HAD PARKED MY 2019 JETTA IN MY LOCKED GARAGE LAST NIGHT. WHEN I WENT TO USE THE CAR THIS MORNING, AND BEFORE I GOT INTO THE CAR, I NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WAS SHATTERED. I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO LIVES IN THE HOUSE. THE GARAGE IS ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE, AND THERE AREN'T ANY WINDOWS IN THE GARAGE. THE ONLY WAY INTO THE GARAGE IS THROUGH A DOOR FROM THE KITCHEN OR BY USING THE GARAGE DOOR. THERE IS NO SIGN OF ANY FORCED ENTRY, BUT MY DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW IS SHATTERED WITH MOST OF THE GLASS ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT, SOME ON THE GARAGE FLOOR (~5%) AND VERY LITTLE (~2%) ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE WINDOW WAS NOT ALL THE WAY UP AFTER I PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE, WHICH IS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF SHATTERED GLASS IN AND AROUND THE CAR. THERE IS NO SIGN OF ANY DAMAGE TO THE WORKINGS OF THE GARAGE DOOR, INCLUDING THE SPRINGS. THERE IS NO SIGN OF ANYTHING HAVING FALLEN ONTO THE CAR, OR FROM INSIDE THE CAR. THERE IS NO SIGN OF ANYTHING HAVING BEEN TAKEN FROM THE CAR. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY AND IT HAD BEEN PARKED IN THE GARAGE FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS.
INTERIOR TRIM PIECE BELOW THE INFOTAINMENT CENTER IS DEFECTIVE. IT BEND OUTWARD LEAVING A 1 INCH GAP BETWEEN TRIM PIECE AND THE DASH. TAKEN TO VW DEALER AND IT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY FOR DEFECTIVE PIECE.
I HAVE A 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA GLI 35TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION 2.0T TSI W/ 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. (ONLY 3500 MANUFACTURED IN THE WORLD) 1. I HAVE A VERY LOUD CLICKING/TAPPING NOISE WHEN AT IDLE AND LOWER RPMS. VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 9,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER WHEN NOISE STARTED. I HAVE MULTIPLE VIDEOS AND SOUNDS RECORDINGS OF THE VEHICLE HAVING THIS NOISE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSIS. I SHOWED THE SERVICE ADVISOR THE VIDEOS AND HE SAID "IT DOES NOT SOUND NORMAL AT ALL, IN FACT IT SOUNDS LIKE INTERNAL DAMAGE/DEFECT". THE TECH HAD TAKEN IT INTO THE SHOP AND CAME BACK AND SAID IT SOUNDED 100% NORMAL. I AM NOW AT 12,000 MILES AND DID MY OIL CHANGE AT THE 10,000 MILE MARK. NOISE IS STILL THERE. I AM AFRAID IF THE NOISE KEEPS GOING ON AND IT IS CAUSING INTERNAL DAMAGE MY CAR WILL BE DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED OUT ON ME 1 TIME AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN DECEMBER OF 2019. (CLUTCH WAS DEPRESSED AND CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL) I AM CURRENTLY GOING BACK TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT AND TO GET A TRIM PIECE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY DUE TO FAULT.
THE TRANSMISSION OR TORQUE CONVERTER IS MAKING A GRINDING NOISES AT 28MPH AND 39MPH. THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR WITH UNDER 100 MILES ON IT. THERE IS A PENDING CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ON THIS ISSUE. VW NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW AND WITHIN EXACTLY ONE WEEK WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THERE WAS A LOUD POP LIKE GLASS BEING HIT. THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES AROUND OR WIND WITH FLYING DEBRIS. IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE GLASS BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND SUNROOF. IT CRACKED FROM ONE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE TO THE OTHER.
The contact owns a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the turbo was making an abnormal loud mechanical grinding sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken three times to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle was working as designed. Additionally, the contact was informed that the wastegate turbo had a lot of play and the wind was causing the abnormal sound. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 600.
