WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE ON DIM, YOU CANNOT SEE THE ROAD AT ALL. IT'S LIKE YOU ARE NOT DRIVING WITH ANY LIGHTS ON AT ALL. AFTER ONLY HAVING MY CAR 5 DAYS, I HAVE RUN OFF THE ROAD TWICE, HAD TWO PEOPLE PULL OUT IN FRONT OF ME BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SEE ME WITH LIGHTS ON DIM, AND ALMOST BEEN HIT ONCE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES THAT MANY OWNERS ARE FACING. MY CHOICES TO DRIVE MY CAR AT TIME IS TO ONLY USE THE HIGH BEAMS WHICH BLINDS OTHER DRIVERS, RISK NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE, OR HAVE AFTERMARKET HEADLAMPS INSTALLED. CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB DID NOT WORK.
THE LOW BEAMS ARE SO BAD YOU CAN HARDLY SEE! I'VE ALMOST WRECKED SEVERAL TIMES AT NIGHT AND HIT SEVERAL CURBS DUE TO POOR LIGHTING! I REPLACED THE CURRENT BULBS WITH LED BULBS AND IT'S BETTER THAN IT WAS BUT STILL NOT VERY BRIGHT! I'VE SEEN SO MANY COMPLAINTS! SOMETHING NEEDS DONE BEFORE MORE PEOPLE HAVE ACCIDENTS!
CONDENSATION AND WATER WERE LEAKING INTO THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY. I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO A CADILLAC SERVICE CENTER FOR EVALUATION. THEY RETURNED THE VEHICLE WITH A QUOTE FOR $2500 TO REPLACE THE HEADLAMP ENCLOSURES. HOWEVER, IF I CANNOT AFFORD REPAIRS AND I CHOOSE TO FORGO REPLACEMENT, THE HEADLIGHTS WILL EVENTUALLY SHORT OUT. THIS ISSUE IS MORE THAN A COSMETIC ISSUE. THE SEALS ON THE HEADLAMP ENCLOSURE ARE DEFECTIVE AND ALLOW WATER TO ENTER THE HEADLIGHTS. THE CONDENSATION DIMS THE HEADLIGHT QUALITY AT NIGHT, MAKING NIGHT-DRIVING VERY DANGEROUS. CADILLAC SAID THE $2500 WOULD ONLY COVER REPLACEMENT WITH THE SAME DEFECTIVE PART, SO I MAY NEED TO HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. THE HEADLIGHTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED LONG AGO. NIGHTTIME DRIVING IS HAZARDOUS WITHOUT FULLY FUNCTIONAL HEADLIGHTS.
THE LOW BEAMS ARE HORRIBLE. AT AROUND 60,000 MILES THE LOW BEAMS STARTED TO FADE DOWN. CAN'T SEE AT NIGHT UNLESS MY HIGH BEAMS ARE ON. DEALERSHIP WANTS 1800$ TO FIX. I TRIED REPLACING BULBS LOOKED LIKE IT WOULD WORK AT LEAST TEMPORARILY UNTIL THEY BOTH BLEW OUT COMPLETELY WITHIN 10 MIN OF DRIVING. CADILLAC SHOULD FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY THIS IS A DANGER TO EVERYONE ON THE ROAD.
I PURCHASED A 2014 CADILLAC SRX AND THE HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING.WE RETURNED TO THE DEALER WITH IT AND THEY SAID IT WAS CHECKED BEFORE WE LEFT WITH OUT.WE RESEARCHED ON LINE AND DISCOVERED A DEFECTIVE LIGHT DESIGN WAS THE PROBLEM.WE CAN NOT EVER DRIVE OUR CAR AT NIGHT .
THE HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2014 CADILLAC SRX ARE NOT ADEQUATE TO DRIVE SAFELY AT NIGHT. I AM A 32 YEAR OLD MALE WITH GOOD VISION AND I HAVE AN EXTREMELY HARD TIME SEEING THE ROAD AT NIGHT. AFTER SEARCHING FOR FIXES, I FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2010 - 2015 MODEL CADILLAC SRXS.
LIGHT RECALL DOESN'T COVER ENTIRE ORIGINAL LIGHT AND I NEED TO GET IT REPLACED (OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE TO BE $1204.64). . THE CAR DID NOT HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT SHOWED ISSUES. HISTORY REPLACEMENTS PROVE THE WHOLE LIGHT MUST BE REPLACED.
ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, NOTICED LOW BEAM VISIBILITY WAS VERY LOW. DEALER SAID "COMMON PROBLEM" NEEDED TO REPLACE ENTIRE LIGHTING UNIT ($800 EACH SIDE). NOW AFTER HAVING TIME TO RESEARCH, FINDING IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH OTHER SRX OWNERS. DID CHANGE BULBS, BUT THAT WAS NO HELP. CADILLAC NEEDS TO STEP FORWARD AND REMEDY THE PROBLEM.
HEADLIGHTS TOO DIM DUE TO MOISTURE GETTING INTO HEADLIGHTS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND THE ILLUMINATION WAS TOO LOW WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TO ACTIVATE THE HIGH BEAMS IN ORDER TO SEE THE ROAD. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 59,280. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
HEADLAMPS HAVE CONDENSATION BUILD UP AND THE LOW BEAMS DO NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH LIGHT TO DRIVE. LAST NIGHT I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT TRYING TO GO SOMEWHERE AND HAD TO TAKE CORRECTIVE MEASURES TO KEEP FROM DRIVING INTO A DITCH THAT I COULD NOT SEE. THIS IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS AND WE ALMOST WRECKED BECAUSE THE LOW BEAMS GIVE OFF ALMOST NO LIGHT TO THE ROADWAY.
THE HEAD LAMPS DO NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH LIGHT TO SEE OBJECTS ON THE ROAD. THERE ARE HUNDREDS ON COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER SRX OWNERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND ON DRIVING TEST.ORG. THE LOW BEAMS ON THIS CAR AS SO DIM THAT YOU CANNOT DRIVE IT SAFELY AT NIGHT. CADILLAC REFUSES TO ACCEPT THERE IS AN ISSUE. MULTIPLE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS HAVE BEEN LAUNCHED AND THIS SAME COMPLAINT IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY NHSTA HASN'T LOOKED INTO THIS PROBLEM SINCE IT PRESENTS DANGEROUS SITUATION AND AFFECTS MULTIPLE CADILLAC MODELS FROM 2010 TO 2015. PROBLEM CONTINUES TO WORSEN AS THE CAR AGES. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE OBVIOUS SAFETY HAZARD.
VERY LOW INTENSITY LOW-BEAM LIGHTING WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE DURING HOURS OF DARKNESS. CONSEQUENTLY, VISION IS REDUCED TO UNSAFE LEVELS RESULTING IN A NEAR-MISS INVOLVING BICYCLING PEDESTRIANS. GM DOESN'T RECOGNIZE IT AS A SAFETY ISSUE BUT HUNDREDS OF INTERNET REPORTED COMPLAINTS INDICATE OTHERWISE.
THE HEADLIGHTS WHILE ON LOW BEAM ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH CAUSING A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE. THE LACK OF BRIGHTNESS IS MUCH MORE EXSAGRATED WHEN DRIVING IN NIGHT RAIN CONDITUONS.
BOTH HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIMINISHING MAKING IT HARD TO SEE AT NIGHT TIME.
THE VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS BECAME DEFECTIVE WITHIN 5 YEARS. MOISTURE ENTERED THE LIGHTS CAUSING THEM TO DIM AND NOT PROVIDE SUFFICIENT LIGHTING TO SEE. CADILLAC KNOWS THIS IS AN ISSUE, BUT HAS NOT TAKEN THE STEPS TO RESOLVE IT.
THE CADILLAC CUE HAS FROZEN AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE HIGHLIGHTS ARE SO DIM IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADLAMP WAS CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO HAVE THE HEADLAMP BULB REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER CADILLAC OF SOUTH CHARLOTTE LOCATED AT 10725 PINEVILLE RD, PINEVILLE, NC 28134 AND WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000. *BF*JB
WE PURCHASED A 2014 SRX USED AND WISH WE WOULD HAVE LOOKED AT REVIEWS PRIOR TO PURCHASE. IT IS TO BAD GM KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AND WON'T RECALL THEM. FRIDAY NIGHT WE WERE TURNING INTO A BUSINESS AND COULD NOT SEE THE DRIVEWAY BECAUSE OF THE HEADLIGHTS SO DIM. I AM TAKING IT TO THE DEALER ON MONDAY BECAUSE IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.
Dim lights housing burned out. Diagnosed by local mechanic and confirmed by Cadillac dealership in Smyrna, Ga. Service dept. says all SRX are having this problem, but he also stated that the recall was already done. The actual recall I received was about condensation in the lights which does not seem to be a problem for my vehicle, so if people are taking their vehicles in and being told the recall is already done, then they are probably not reporting the problem. This affects the safety of myself and others as I am unable to see well in dimly lit areas and I have to use my bright lights to avoid having an accident. There is no warning indicator for this. I can just tell that the lights are not working properly. Also the electronic touch screen that controls the radio and heating is not working properly. I cannot redirect the heat, so it only blows out of defrost vents. It’s very cold in the back for my 4 year old. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request and once I get the mechanic to look at it again, I can provide a picture of the burned out housing unit.

HEADLIGHT IS HOLDING MOISTURE AND CLOUDING UP WHICH IS CAUSING LITTLE TO NO VISION AT ALL AT NIGHT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY HEADLIGHTS ON SRX'S ARE BAD AS FAR AS VISION GOES AT NIGHT AND I SEE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS.
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving at night, the low-beam headlight did not provide adequate illumination for safe driving. The high-beam headlight was used to provide adequate illumination for safe driving. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer who informed him they could offer no assistance with the headlight failure. The manufacturer offered no assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000. The VIN was not available.

LIGHT FOR SERVICE REAR AXLE DISPLAY ON FRONT DISPLAY WAS NO WITH A WEIRD JERK IN THE DRIVE OF SUV. SO I TOOK MY 2014 CADILLAC SRX WITH 74000 MILES TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AT A CADILLAC DEALERSHIP IN NJ AND WAS TOLD THE AXLE OIL PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WITH SERVICE HOURS OF 6 AND GRAND TOTAL $1600 FOR REPAIRS.
MY 2014 CADILLAC SRX HEADLIGHTS HAVE CONTINUED TO GET MORE AND MORE DIM TO THE POINT THEY ARE ALMOST UNSAFE ON LOW LEVEL (DIM). I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING SHORT OF REPLACING THE HEADLIGHT UNIT WHICH IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. AFTER READING COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET IT SEEMS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND GM REFUSES TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE . THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. TO ME THIS IS AS BAD A SAFETY ISSUE AS AIRBAGS. THIS OCCURRED OVER A YEAR PERIOD AND IS GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE.
MY RADIO IS GOING BATTING AGAIN. IT PLAYS BUT THE SCREEN WILL NOT WORK 1/2 THE TIME - I HAVE NO CONTROL ON WHERE TO GO. WHEN I TRY TO RECIEVE A CALL FROM THE CAR IT WILL PICK UP AND DISCONNECT 2 SECONDS INTO THE CALL. IT WILL NOT LET ME USE A AUX CORD TO PLAY MUSIC. I HAVE REPLACED THE DISPLAY ON 9/13/16 AND I REPLACED THE RADIO ON 4/26/17. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I HAD TO WAIT IN APRIL FOR OVER A MONTH OR TWO B/C THIS PARTICULAR RADIO WAS ON BACK ORDER DUE TO ISSUES.

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN NEW YORK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000.
I HAD FELT SWAYING IN MY REAR FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH BEFORE IT ACTUALLY BROKE. I WAS GOING DOWN I40 HEADED TO THE BEACH AND I HEARD A POP AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY STEERING WHEEL WAS AT A RIGHT HAND TURN POSITION GOING STRAIGHT. (DOG TRACKING) I HAVE HAD IT TEMPORARILY FIXED UNTIL I KNOW FOR SURE THAT IT SHOULD BE A RECALL.

UNABLE TO USE NAVIGATION SYSTEM SO DRIVER IS UNABLE TO FOCUS ON THE ROAD AND MUST LOOK AT CELL PHONE. PHONE IS UNABLE TO PAIR BLUETOOTH PHONE WITH SYSTEM B/C IT NEEDS TOUCH SCREEN, SO PHONE MUST BE HELD IN HAND OR PLACED BETWEEN SEAT BELT NEAR DRIVER'S EAR CAUSING DRIVER DISTRACTION/INATTENTION. SCREEN FLICKERS RANDOMLY DRAWING DRIVERS EYES OFF THE ROAD POSSIBLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. UNABLE TO SET/RESET SAFETY FEATURES, WARNING BELLS, LOCKOUT PROTECTIONS ETC. DRIVER HAS TRIED TO IGNORE THESE ISSUES, HOWEVER, THE LONGER THE SYSTEM IS DOWN/MALFUNCTIONING, THE HIGHER THE RISK IS BECOMING DUE TO DRIVER DISTRACTION.

THE FAILURE WORSENED TO THE POINT THAT THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAD TO BE UTILIZED WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. ON APRIL 14, 2019, THE CONTACT RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE MANUFACTURER STATING THAT IF THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMP SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED, AND THE CONTACT WOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIR COST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WILLIAMSON CADILLAC (7815 SW 104TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33156) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE PROGRAM HAD ENDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,900.
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE FAILING AND THIS CAR IS TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. WE ARE FORCED TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS ON BECAUSE OTHERWISE YOU CANNOT SEE THE ROAD. MANY MANY INSTANCES OF THIS POSTED ONLINE AND CADILLAC HAS BEEN AWARE OF PROBLEM FOR SOME TIME. ALSO CLASS ACTIONS SUITS. YET THEY WILL RECALL AND ARE FORCED TO PAY HUGE AMOUNT FOR REPAIRS.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO DAVE TOWELL CADILLAC (111 W MARKET ST, AKRON, OH 44303, (888) 315-0939) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT NEW BULBS WERE NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
BRAKES DID NOT SLOW VEHICLE DOWN IN 25 MILE PER HOUR ACCIDENT, BRAKE WORK DONE BY DEALERSHIP 2/2019
THE CADILLAC CUE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE ORIGINAL WENT OUT, THE ONE THEY FIXED UNDER WARRANTY WENT OUT, AND NOW THEY DON'T WANT TO HELP ME FIX WHAT I HAVE. IT WAS ONLY 18 MONTHS AGO WHEN THEY REPLACED THE CUE SYSTEM. IT OPERATES LIKE THIS REGARDLESS OF THE WAY YOU DRIVE IT.

LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE BECOME SO DIM, THAT DRIVING AT NIGHT HAS BECOME A DANGEROUS TASK. HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT IF FEELS AS IF ONLY PARKING LIGHTS ARE ON, CAUSING ME TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS ON ALL THE TIME. HEADLIGHT LENS DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE YELLOWED.

OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS AND 4 MONTHS THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE BECOME MORE AND MORE DIM. I NOW HAVE TO DRIVE WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON AND IN THE RAIN IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE. A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE. CADILLAC DEFINITELY NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THIS PROBLEM!
PURCHASED A PRE-OWNED 2014 WITH 69,000 MILES. THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DIDN'T ILLUMINATE, BUT THE HIGH BEAMS WERE GREAT. I REPLACED THE LOW BEAM BULBS AND SOME LIGHT NOW HITS THE ROAD, BUT NOT NEARLY ENOUGH. IT APPEARS THAT THE GLASS SPHERE IN FRONT OF THE BULBS IS GRAY AND NOT ALLOWING LIGHT TO PASS THRU. THE DEALER SHOULD NOT HAVE SOLD THE CAR IN THIS CONDITION.
THE HEADLIGHTS OF THE CADILLAC SRX (2014) ARE SO DIM THAT YOU CANNOT SEE THE ROAD IN FRONT YOU AT NIGHT/EARLY MORNING. IT IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE HEADLIGHTS. MY BULBS HAVE BEEN TESTED AND ARE FINE. IT IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE VEHICLE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM AND HOLD CADILLAC/GM RESPONSIBLE! WE PURCHASED OUR 2014 CADILLAC ON 7/3/2019. CARFAX CHECK OUT GREAT. 5 DAYS LATER WE LEFT TOWN AT 9:30 PM FOR A MINI VACATION. IT WAS GETTING DARK. AS IT PROCEEDED TO GET DARKER WE STARTED TO GET EXTREMELY FRIGHTENED IT WAS LIKE DRIVING WITH DIM FLASHLIGHTS . THE HIGH BEAMS WORK FINE BUT THE LOW BEAMS DO NOT! ! I GOT ONLINE TO SEE IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS AND IT TURNS OUT THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN CALIFORNIA !!! I CALLED THE CADILLAC DEALERSHIP AND THEY ACTED LIKE THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS! WE SERIOUSLY THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT THAT NIGHT . WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR CADILLAC TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ARE SEVERAL PEOPLE GOING TO HAVE TO DIE? NOT A GREAT WAY TO DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY OR IN TOWN. WE DID BOTH.
FRONT HEADLIGHTS ARE OUT. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY DIM AND HAVE GOTTEN WORSE WITH TIME. GM WAS SUED BY SEVERAL CUSTOMERS AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO OFFER FREE REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPLACING THE PARTS. LETTERS SENT ONLY RECEIVED BY FEW PEOPLE. GM REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DEFECTIVE VEHICLES THEY MANUFACTURED FROM 2010-2015, ALL HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. VEHICLE IS USELESS AT NIGHT. SAFETY HAZARD. DIMMITT CADLLLAC IN CLEARWATER, FLORIDA IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY EITHER, ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE PROBLEM FOR OVER 2 YEARS. DIMMITT FAILED TO INFORM THE CLIENTS A 90-DAY WINDOW TO REPAIR WAS OFFERED PURSUANT TO A LETTER MOST CUSTOMERS DID NOT RECEIVE, EVEN WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS TAKEN WITHIN THE WINDOW PERIOD FOR OIL CHANGE. THE CONSENSUS IS THAT GM MANUFACTURED DEFECTIVE SEALS AROUND THE HEADLIGHTS WHICH ALLOW MOISTURE/CONDENSATION TO GET IN DAMAGING THE LIGHTS. VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN AT NIGHT AS LIGHTS ARE OFF. THIS IS NOT A ONE TIME EVENT. IT'S AN ONGOING SITUATION THAT GM REFUSES TO CORRECT AND/OR ISSUE A RECALL EVEN THOUGH ALL CADILLAC SRX 2010-2015 HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
