I USED MY REMOTE START, FROM THE KEY FOB, WHILE I WENT INSIDE THE STORE. I CAME OUT OF THE STORE AND HAD HEAVY SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR WINDOWS AND DEFROSTER AREA. IT SMELLED OF A CAR FIRE. I IMMEDIATELY GOT INTO THE TRUCK AND TURNED IT OFF. I NOTICED THE SMOKE DISSIPATED AND I STARTED THE TRUCK TO GET HOME. THE DEFROSTER WAS LEFT OFF AND I THEN STARTED TO DRIVE OUT OF THE PARKING LOT. NOT EVEN 30SECONDS LATER THE WINDOW THAT HAD SMOKE COMING FROM SHATTERED. IT IS IN MY LINE OF SIGHT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DEPRESSING THE REAR DEFROSTER BUTTON THERE WAS ABNORMAL CLICKING AND HISSING NOISE DETECTED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED WHO REFERRED CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
I WAS DRIVING AND THE BRAKE STRENGTH WENT EXTREMELY LOW. I TOOK IT TO THE AUTO SHOP AND THEY SAID THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP WENT HAD. ALSO, THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT HAS A ROCK TO IT WHEN YOUR WEIGHT IS SHIFTED SOMETIMES.
SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT BULLETIN 17336 FOR AC CONDENSER. CONDENSER LEAKS AND BREAKS. REPLACEMENT REQUIRED BUT REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT SUB PAR AND ALSO PRON FOR FAILURE. CHEVROLET WILL NOT COVER COST OF REPLACEMENT OF CONDENSER STATING THAT THE VEHICLE WITH 85,000 MILES IS NOT COVERED. THIS IS A NATION WIDE ISSUE. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD A TOTAL OF 15 RECALLS ON IT. I AM REQUESTING ASSISTANCE WITH THE COST OF THE REPAIR. DUE TO MY ALLERGIES AND THIS TIME OF THE YEAR DRIVING WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN AND NO AC IS AFFECTING MY PHYSICALLY. THE CUSTOMER CARE CENTER FOR CHEVORLET IS GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND AND HAVE BEEN AVOIDING MY CLAIM SINCE 3/03/2020. TODAY IS 3/11/2020. THUS FAR THEY HAVE OFFERED TO COVER ONLY $215 OF $879+TAX REPAIR THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF IS A NATION WIDE ISSUE. PLEASE HELP.
WHILE IN REVERSE BACKING UP FROM PARKING SPOT WITH 2 LANE TRAFFIC BEHIND PARKING LOCATION, APPLIED BRAKES AND WAS UNABLE TO STOP COMPLETELY. BRAKES WENT INTO WHAT FELT LIKE ANTI LOCK AND PUMPED WHILE I WAS TRYING TO STOP. SECOND TIME COMING TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN, APPLY BRAKES AND BRAKE PUSHED BACK AND WAS UNABLE TO FULLY STOP
BRAKES WORKED GREAT DURING THREE HOUR DRIVE UNTIL I PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE. THE RPMS DROPPED AND WHILE I WAS BACKING UP I HAD TO USE BOTH FEET TO STOP IN TIME BEFORE HITTING A PARKED VEHICLE. THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP AND THERE ARE MANY FORUM REVIEWS OF THE SAME ISSUE

THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED AT COVERT CHEVROLET BUICK GMC LOCATED AT 702 TX-71, BASTROP, TX 78602, (512) 772-3025 IN FEBRUARY OF 2020. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE STATED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 20 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD AND FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ACTIVATED THE PARKING BRAKE TO ASSIST IN STOPPING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AS OF YET. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR QUICK WORKING AROUND 36K MILES MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE AFFECTED DOOR(S) FROM THE OUTSIDE AND CAN ONLY BE OPENED BY PULLING THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE WHICH IS DIFFICULT WITH A CREW CAB. I FEAR THAT IF A BELTED PASSENGER WHO IS UNABLE TO UNBUNDLED IN A ACCIDENT OR FIRE MAY BE SUBJECTED TO DANGER. I HAVE READ OF THESE LOCK ACTUATORS FALLING EARLIER THE AVERAGE AND GENERAL MOTORS WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIR PAST THE EXACT MANUFACTURER WARRANTY LIMIT.
WHEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND COMING TO A STOP OR REVERSING THE BREAK PEDAL FEELS SUPER STIFF AND TURN MAKES A NOISE. I JUST PUT IN 600 DOLLARS ON BREAK JOB.
OUR 2015 SILVERADO 1500 HAS STUTTERING/ HESITATION WHEN ACCELERATING, WHEN TURNING ON TO A STREET YOU CAN NOT GET UP TO SPEED QUICK ENOUGH IT ACTS LIKE THERE IS SOMETHING HOLD IT BACK. WE HAVE REPLACED THE SPARK PLUG AND WIRE AND ALL THE COIL PACKS. THE VOLTAGE METER ON THE TRUCK KEEP FLUCTUATING SO WE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY AND THAT DID NOTHING AND KEPT FLUCTUATING SO WE GOT ANOTHER ALTERNATOR AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER.. SO 5 ALTERNATORS LATER AND STILL NO FIX. BUT THE HARD SHIFTING IS THE MAIN CONCERN. BECAUSE WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING TRYING TO GET INTO ANOTHER LANE THE TRUCK WITH JUST START HESITATING AND JERKING UNTIL IT LAUNCHES INTO GEAR. 1ST GEAR GOING INTO 2ND GEAR THE TRUCK WILL SHIFT EXTREMELY HARD AND 2ND GOING INTO 3RD FEELS LIKE YOU ARE GALLOPING UNTIL IT FINALLY ENGAGES. THE COMPUTER HAS BEEN REPLACED AND REPROGRAMMED WITH ALL UPDATES BY AND ASE CERTIFIED MECHANIC. ALSO DID A TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH AND CHANGED. NO SERVICE LIGHT. JUST BAFFLED WITH ALL THESE COMPLAINTS ABOUT TRANSMISSION WHY NOTHING IS DOWN. IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.
RPMS WERE RISING ABOVE 6,000 WITHOUT ANY POWER. RANDOMLY WHILE ON HIGHWAY, TRUCK ONLY HAD 112,000 MILES ON IT AND HAD TO HAVE A NEW TRANSMISSION PUT IN. AND HAS HAD MANY OTHER ISSUES SUCH AS THE LIFTERS CLOSING WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AND BRAKE ISSUES. THE WORST MODEL TRUCK EVER MADE.
OUR 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 Z71 HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES AT 38,000 MILES AND THE VEHICLE HAD ONLY 84 MILES WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. I COULD ONLY DRIVE ABOUT 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE AND IT FELT LIKE I WAS PUSHING THE ENGINE. THIS WAS WHILE RETURNING THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED IT. WE ARE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF A VEHICLE WE PAID GOOD MONEY ON. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND IS LINE WITH 15 OTHER VEHICLES WITH TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THIS IS NOT WHAT I THOUGHT CHEVROLET GM WAS ABOUT WITH THE PRODUCTION OF THEIR VEHICLES.
A/C UNIT DOES NOT WORK. RECHARGE THE SYSTEM AND IT LEAKS OUT. GM/CHEVROLET KNOWS OF THE ISSUE AND HAS RECALLED OTHER MODELS USING THE SAME EQUIPMENT. NOT ON THE CHEVROLET SILVERADO MODELS. NO MENTION OF LEAKS OR ISSUES BY THE DEALERSHIP DURING REGULAR MAINTENANCE. ON JUNE 20TH 2020 I PAID TO HAVE THE SYSTEM RECHARGED, DIDNT BLOW REALLY COLD BUT GRADUALLY IT GOT WARMER, NOW IT BLOWS HOT AIR. LAST FALL OCT 2019 IT WAS NOT BLOWING COLD AIR, IN FEBRUARY 15 2920 WHILE DRIVING THE AIR SEEMED TO GET WARMER, COULD NOT KEEP THE CAB COOL. AFTER REVIEWING RECALL INFORMATION AND OTHER REVIEWS OF ISSUES I SEE THAT THE $1,100 OR MORE FOR REPLACEMENT OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT, PLUS THE LONG DELAY BECAUSE GM/CHEVROLET HAS A SHORTAGE OF THE SPECIFIC PARTS (BACK ORDERED). I THINK THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL TO FORCE GM/ CHEVROLET TO FIX THIS ISSUE THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT SINCE BEFORE MY TRUCK WAS EVEN BUILT.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that there was a water leak coming from the driver’s side floor of the vehicle and extending to the rear driver’s side floor. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic however, the cause was of the failure was not found. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.
MANY OCCURRENCES OF ELECTRICAL FAILURE - TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP IN 2017 AND 2019 WITH NO FIX BUT ONE RELATED POWER STEERING DECAL DONE. LOSS OF STEERING, LIGHTS, NAV, STABILITRAK, AIRBAG WARNING OFTEN BUT NOT ALWAYS NOTED WHEN BRAKING OR USING TURN SIGNALS. FRUSTRATING THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS AND POTENTIAL YOUTUBE FIX YET ALL DEALER HAVE NO FIX? CERTAINLY A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED BASED ON THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS I'VE READ.
APPARENTLY MY TRUCK ALREADY HAD THE STEERING RECALL PREFORMED, BUT I'M HAVING THE SAME ISSUE STILL. THE POWER STEERING STOPPED TWICE WHILE DRIVING, ALMOST CAUSING US TO HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE LIGHTS WILL ALSO DIM ALMOST TO OFF WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE STATIONARY, ALSO POWER STEERING WILL QUICK MOMENTARILY WHILE DOING THIS ALSO. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST I DO?

ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION I HAVE LOST STEERING CONTROL WHILE TURNING RIGHT AT LOW SPEED. THE STEERING WHEEL SEEMS TO LOCK UP FOR ONE TO TWO SECONDS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN RIGHT. 1. IN TURNING LANE ON CITY STREET TURNING RIGHT ONTO SIDE STREET. FROM STATIONARY POSITION I PRESSED ON THE GAS TO TURN RIGHT AND CROSS TRAFFIC. STEERING LOCKED UP AND TRUCK WOULD NOT TURN RIGHT. IN ABOUT A SECOND OR SO THE STEERING FREED AND I WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE ON 2. AT A DRIVE THROUGH CAR WAS IN STATIONARY POSITION. AT THE END OF WASH AND DRY OUT TRUCK IN DRIVE AND PROCEEDED TO TURN RIGHT. STEERING LOCKED UP AND I WAS UNABLE TO TURN RIGHT FOR ABOUT A SECOND OR SO. THEN STEERING FREED AND I WAS ABLE TO PROCEED. 3. AT STOP LIGHT STATIONARY MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN PRESSED ON GAS AND STEERING LOCKED UP FOR A SECOND OR SO. THEN STEERING FREED AND I WAS ABLE TO PROCEED.
SLIDER REAR WINDOW SHATTERS FROM NORMAL DRIVING. USE OF REAR DEFROST AND OPERATING IN WINTER CONDITIONS CAUSE WINDOW TO DEVELOP INTERNAL STRESS. WINDOW FALL IN DURING NORMAL USE OR AFTER SHUTTING DOOR.
I OWN A 2015 SILVERADO HIGH COUNTRY WITH 73K MILES. OVER THE PAST MONTH OR SO - WHEN BACKING INTO A PARKING GARAGE SPOT AT WORK, I HAVE LOST MOST OF THE BRAKING POWER. THE BRAKES FELT REALLY HARD AND FELT LIKE IT WAS ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE TRUCK BY PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL HARD REAL HARD SEVERAL TIMES IN ORDER TO STOP SAFELY WITH OUT RUNNING INTO THE RETAINING WALL. THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHEN PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY OR A PARKING SPOT AT A GROCERY STORE. I ALMOST BUMPED A CAR IN FRONT OF ME IN A PARKING LOT SPOT AND DECIDED TO START PARKING OUT FURTHER TO KEEP FROM HITTING ANY OTHER VEHICLES. AT MY MOST RECENT OIL CHANGE, I RECEIVED A REPORT THAT MY BRAKES WERE ALL "GOOD" BASED ON THE SERVICE TECH'S INSPECTION. THIS IS A REALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT NEEDS TO HAVE A RECALL PLACED TO GM TO GET THIS ISSUE FIXED ON ALL AFFECTED TRUCKS.

VEHICLE WAS BEING OPERATED ON A PAVED ROAD WHEN THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER WAS TURNED ON TO CLEAR SNOW ON THE OUTSIDE. SEVERAL MOMENTS LATER I HEARD A HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR INTERIOR OF THE PICKUP CAB AND THEN LOOKED INTO THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, AT WHICH TIME I SAW SMOKE EMITTING FORM THE LOWER CORNER OF THE PASSENGER SIDE FIXED WINDOW PANE (THIS IS 3 PIECE REAR WINDOW WHERE THE MIDDLE PAN OPENS VIA ELECTRICAL SWITCH). THE HISSING CONTINUED WITH THE SMOKE THAT WAS COMING FROM THE LOWER CORNER OF THE WINDOW NEAREST TO THE CENTRAL WINDOW PANEL. I IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THE ODOR OF AN ELECTRICAL FIRE (BURNING INSULATION) AND THEN TURNED OFF THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER SWITCH. THE HISSING SOUND AND SMOKE CEASED. A FEW SECONDS LATER 8 HEARD A LOUD 'POP' SOUND COME FROM THE BACK WINDOW AND OBSERVED THAT THE ENTIRE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW HAD SHATTERED, IN PLACE WITH THE FRACTURE LINE EMANATING OUTWARD FROM HE AREA WHERE THE SMOKE WAS FIRST OBSERVED.
THE TRUCK IS WELL MAINTAINED WITH 66500 MILES AND THE PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE IS MALFUNCTIONING AND TO FIX IT THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT'S GOING TO BE 967.70 IS THERE A RECALL OR WARRANTY ON THIS IT ALREADY COST ME 106.73 TO PUT IT ON A COMPUTER FOR THE CODE THAT I COULD HAVE DONE AT HOME I'VE OWNED IT SINCE NEW IT WILL BE 5 YRS IN A WEEK OR SO JUST FEEL FOR 49000.00 TRUCK SHOULDN'T HAVE AIRBAG ISSUES ALREADY. THE CODE IS B0081-00 AND B1000 AIR BAG SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING WITH OUT ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BUT IF SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY WEIGH IT DOESN'T THROW A CODE
I TURNED ON THE REAR DEFROST AND THE WINDOW SPIDER WEB CRACKED. THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL BUT MY VIN NUMBER WASN'T IN THE RANGE SO GM IS REFUSING TO COVER IT.
I OWN A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 LTZ IN MAROON RED. I HAVE NOTICED THE CLEAR COAT THROUGHOUT ALMOST EVERY PANEL OF THE TRUCK IS PEELING IN LARGE BUBBLES. THE HOOD IS ESPECIALLY BAD ABOVE THE GRILL. EACH DOOR BELOW THE CHROME STRIP ALONG THE LOWER KICK PLATE IS ESPECIALLY BAD. EACH WASH OF THE VEHICLE MAKES IT WORSE. SADLY, LOOKING AT EACH AREA, A SMALL PIT TO THE METAL IS VISIBLE; ALMOST AS IF EVERY ROCK CHIP/SCRATCH IS MAKING IT WORSE.
THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE BRAKE PRESSURE WHEN VEHICLE WAS MOVING SLOW. I HAD THE RECALL CORRECTED/COMPLETED; HOWEVER, IT STILL HAS THE PROBLEM. SO THEIR SOLUTION ISN'T FIXING THE PROBLEM. WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING AT A SLOWER SPEED AND APPLY THE BRAKES IT FEELS LIKE THE GO OUT AND THE VEHICLE DOESN'T STOP. YOU HAVE TO PRESS BRAKES REALLY HARD.
UPON TURNING THE VEHICLE ON THERE WERE NO ALERTS LIKE SEAT BELT WARNINGS, DOOR OPEN, HANDS FREE CALLING, ONSTAR. ALSO WHEN SHUTTING VEHICLE OFF NO ALARM TO INDICATE KEYS ARE IN THE IGNITION. CANNOT HEAR IF BLINKER IS ON. NOTHING COMES THROUGH THE RADIO. THIS HAPPENS ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS. APPROXIMATELY EVERY SEVERAL MONTHS. SOMETIMES IT WILL START THE SHEETS IF I SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF THEN START IT BACK UP. TODAY IT DIDN'T DO THAT. AT THIS TIME MY TRUCK HAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000 MILES. ALSO ON OCCASION THE SERVICE ELECTRIC BREAKS HAVE INDICATED AN ISSUE AS WELL.

SMOKE EMERGED FROM THE BUS BAR LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SLIDING REAR WINDOW. THE SMOKE STOPPED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER CENTURY CHEVROLET, 6105 WEST 120TH AVENUE, BROOMFIELD, CO 80020, THEY DETERMINED THAT THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,914.
IT HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE MOTOR, AT 50000 WE BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. DEALER SAID IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH SOME GASKETS INSIDE MOTOR.
WHILE IN MOTION, ESPECIALLY IN SLOW TURNS, THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN. POWER STEERING GOES AND BATTERY COMPLETELY DRAINED. WHEN PROBLEM IS OCCURRING DASHBOARD LIGHTS ARE AFFECTED. DASHBOARD LIGHTS LIGHT UP AND GO BLANK. TRUCK WILL NOT START UNLESS JUMPSTARTED. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE SUMMER OF 2019. CONTACTED BANKS CHEVROLET AND CONCORD NEW HAMPSHIRE AND THEY SAID THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY KNOWN PROBLEMS. TRANSMISSION STARTS SHIFTING IN AND OUT OF GEARS HIGH LOW, SEVERE BUCKING, HIGH ENGINE REVVING, CYLINDER MISFIRE. HARD TO STOP VERY SLOW ACCELERATION DUE TO TRANSMISSION IN WRONG GEAR AND LOSS OF POWER DUE TO COLLAPSED LIFTER. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT GM IS WELL AWARE OF MY 2007 MONTE CARLO HAD SAME ISSUE 8 YEARS LATER THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND IM SURE THEY WILL COVER THE LIFTER ALL LIFTERS SHOULD BE REPLACED. AND AFM SHOULD BE DISABLED.

THERE HAS BEEN LOSS OF POWER BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS A VIBRATING FEEL AS IT IS PRESSED. THE PEDAL WILL GO DOWN ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH VERY LITTLE BRAKING POWER. I TOOK MY TRUCK IN FOR THE RECALL WORK FOR THE SAME ISSUE WHICH HAD NO EFFECT. I HAD A PRIOR PROBLEM WITH A FUEL INJECTOR GOING OUT WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES ON THE TRUCK. THIS CAUSED LOSS OF POWER IN SITUATIONS WHERE POWER IS NEEDED SUCH AS MERGING ON TO A FREEWAY. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHERE SOMEONE COULD BE KILLED. CHEVROLET SAYS THE FUEL INJECTOR IS NOT PART ON THE ENGINE EVEN THROUGH THE MANIFORD HAD TO BE REMOVED TO REPLACE IT. THE PART WAS NOT REPLACE UNDER UNDER WARRANTY. THIS PART SHOULD NOT BE FAILING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
I received the recall notice and then the special warranty notice, fall of 2019. I took my vehicle, which was experiencing the braking issues described in both notices, to Nereson Automotive in Detroit Lakes, MN. I did call ahead & had an appointment and informed them of the letters and the problems both on the phone and in person when dropping the vehicle off for repairs. After they called me and told me they made all the repairs and had the vehicle in good working order again, I picked up my 2015 Chevy Silverado High Country (approximately 107,000 miles) and while still on the lot I experienced the same braking issues. At that point I just figured it was something that I would have to deal with. After almost 5 years of dealing with the intermittent annoyance, I started doing some research on how to fix it myself and came across a mechanics instruction on how the recall and special warranty was supposed to be performed. I called them back and scheduled another appointment pointing out they were supposed to replace the vacuum pump in 2019 and I informed them (Ty) the radio and DIC on my truck would randomly change menus and stations and wanted them to reflash the computer system (which they did not do, and also charged me over $150 for a bogus diagnostic fee afterward). After I dropped my truck off for repair (again) (approximately 158,000 miles) I received a call and they said the special warranty is expired because I was approximately 8,000 miles over the extension. I informed them I had brought them the truck in 2019 to have the issue fixed and they did not fix it under warranty at that point. They said there was nothing they could do to help fix this important SAFETY RECALL. Now, I have complete brake assist failure and a dealer that seems to be ignoring the recalls and cutting corners. I called GM Customer Service and they said I have to work it out with the independently owned dealer. I called back yesterday (XXX) and they still refuse to fix the recall. TRUCK WITH JUST UNDER 34,000 MILES WOULD NOT DISENGAGE FROM FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF WITH THE TRANSFER CASE SELECTOR IN AUTOMATIC FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. AFTER IT WAS TURNED OFF AND BEFORE IT WAS RESTARTED, THE TRANSFER CASE WENT INTO FULL TIME FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, THE TRUCK HAD AN AUDIBLE NOISE FROM TRANSFER CASE WHEN IT WAS IN MOTION AND THE TRANSFER CASE WOULD NOT CHANGE WHEN MOVING THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SELECTOR SWITCH. CONDITION CAUSED DRIVE-ABILITY PROBLEMS. THE CORRECTION WAS TO REPROGRAM AND SET-UP THE TRANSFER CASE MODULE WHICH WAS NOT COVERED BY CHEVROLET EVEN AFTER THE SERVICING DEALER ASKED THEM FOR ASSISTANCE. SINCE THERE WAS AN AVAILABLE FIX OFFERED BY GM WITH A SOFTWARE UPDATE, SOFTWARE PROGRAMS DO NOT CHANGE WITHOUT INTERVENTION AND THE CONDITION RESULTS IN DRIVE-ABILITY CONCERNS, I BELIEVE THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE RECALLED TO PRO-ACTIVELY PREVENT THE ISSUE EXPERIENCED AND NOT WAIT UNTIL THE CONSUMER HAS AN ISSUE AND THEN HAVE THE CUSTOMER PAY FOR THE REPAIR.

THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE FILLS WITH CARBON MONOXIDE. THIS IS KNOWN BECAUSE A 4 GAS MONITOR IN THE VEHICLE READ CARBON MONOXIDE LEVELS IN EXCESS OF 400 PPM. THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK AFTER BEING TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WAS FOUND TO BE A BROKEN BOLT IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. THE PARTS ONLY ESTIMATE WAS $1,700 WITH APPROXIMATELY 9 LABOR HOURS. ONLINE RESEARCH FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS. FAILURE TO CORRECT THE CONDITION MAY LEAD TO DRIVERS FAINTING WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE BRAIN INJURY TO A CHILD OR INFANT. A LEAK IN THE EXHAUST BEFORE REACHING THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ALSO RESULTS IN POSSIBLY EXCESSIVE UNTREATED EMISSIONS. THE EXHAUST LEAK MAY OR MAY NOT POSE A FIRE HAZARD.

ALL OF THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION EITHER IN THE CITY OR ON THE HIGHWAY. IT IS VERY DISTRACTING AND DANGEROUS. I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH CHEVROLET FOR OVER A YEAR ON THIS AND THEY DON'T DEEM TO BE ABLE TO FIX THIS ISSUE. I HAVE READ MANY FORUMS THAT SHOW CUSTOMERS WITH SIMILAR COMPUTER ISSUES.

PAINT STARTED BUBBLING AND CRACKING OFF. IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THE PAINT DID NOT ADHERE TO THE PRIMER. I HAVE 32000 MILES. MOSTLY DRIVE ON THE WEEKENDS BECAUSE I WORK ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE. I DO NOT DO ANY OFF-ROAD DRIVING. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE PAINT TO PEEL.

TRUCK HAS ISSUES STOPPING AT SLOW SPEEDS. EXTREME PEDAL PRESSURE IS REQUIRED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. WHEN TOWING, AND ATTEMPTING TO BACK UP A TRAILER, THE PRESSURE REQUIRED ON THE PEDAL MAKES MANEUVERING EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND UNSAFE. BRAKES ARE A VITAL PIECE OF EQUIPMENT, AND ARE NEEDED TO SAFELY OPERATE A VEHICLE IN TODAY'S DRIVING ENVIRONMENTS. I HAD THIS LOOKED AT BY A DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY INFORMED ME OF A RECALL AND SAID THEY "ADJUSTED THE SENSOR", BUT THAT HAS NOT CORRECTED THE ISSUE.
