SEAT BELT FAILURE! VEHICLE WAS PARKED, I WENT TO PUT ON MY SEATBELT (DRIVER SIDE) AND CABLE ATTACHMENT PART AT BASE OF SEATBELT SEPARATED. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, HAD ANY DAMAGE OR ANY WORK DONE TO DRIVER SIDE SEAT. VEHICLE IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD AND CURRENTLY HAS 56,000 MILES.

VEHICLE WAS STOPPED ON ONE SIDE OF INTERSECTION WAITING FOR TRAFFIC TO CLEAR AND MOVED TO OTHER SIDE 5 MILES /HOUR SILVERADO WOULD NOT STOP AND DROVE INTO STOPPED JEEP WITH WHEEL ON BACK. NO DAMAGE TO JEEP. JEEP HIT AUDI WITH MINOR BUMPER DAMAGE. DRIVING ON SOUTH BLVD CROSSING CLEAVLAND IN TAMPA, FL. VEHICLE TRAVELED ONLY ACROSS THE INTERSECTION FROM A DEAD STOP. BRAKES FAILED TO STOP VEHICLE. WARRANTY WORK WAS PERFORMED PRIOR TO BRAKE FAILURE. VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY GM 12/7/19 AT JIM BROWN CHEVROLET. . WE ARE WAITING FOR REPLY. GREG YOUNG CHEVROLET (2020 W 20TH ST S, NEWTON, IA 50208, (641) 787-9990) STATED THAT SINCE THE VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE A FULL WINDOW, IT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM. THE WINDOW WAS A SLIDING GLASS WINDOW AND NOT A FULL WINDOW. THE MANUFACTURER KEPT REFERRING THE CONTACT BACK TO THE DEALER AND STATED THAT THE SLIDING WINDOW WAS NOT AS STRUCTURALLY SOUND AS A FULL WINDOW; THEREFORE, IT WAS NOT COVERED. THE WINDOW WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD COVER THE REPAIRS. THE CONTACT FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THE SAME FAILURE. Brought this vehicle in several times to the dealership for electric power steering momentarily failing and coming back. Dealership says this VIN is not associated to a recall. This issue has almost caused me several accidents as well as the shop foreman/manager. This is safety related and needs to be addressed

THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT A LOANER WAS PROVIDED DUE TO HER HUSBAND DRIVING 114 MILES PER DAY FOR WORK. UNEXPECTED AND INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER BRAKES. EVIDENT AT SLOW SPEED (WHEN BACKING). FIRST APPLICATION IS NORMAL, SECOND BRAKE APPLICATION IS POWER ASSIST IS REDUCED BY HALF, THIRD BRAKE APPLICATION HAS NO POWER BRAKE ASSIST. SAFETY HAZARD WHEN BACKING AS UNEXPECTED LOSS OF ASSIST CAN DAMAGE EQUIPMENT AND CAUSE INJURY.
WE WERE DRIVING IN SEVIERVILLE, TN IN VERY BUSY TOURIST TRAFFIC GOING ABOUT 25 MPH WITH 2 BABIES IN THE BACK AND PULLING A TRAILER WITH A POLARIS RANGER. WHEN I WENT TO HIT THE BRAKES, THERE WAS NO MOVEMENT OF THE BRAKE PEDAL. I COULDN'T PRESS IT IN UNLESS I USED 2 FEET AND APPLIED HARD PRESSURE. ONCE THE BRAKES WERE PUSHED ALL THE WAY IN, IT USED ENOUGH BRAKE TO COME TO A STOP. THE MECHANIC SAID WE NEED A NEW VACUUM PUMP AND BRAKE PADS. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE IF WE WOULD HAVE MADE IT TO THE INTERSTATE.

CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD TO SEE IF ANY NOTICEABLE LOOSE CONNECTIONS (NONE). WIGGLED FUSES IN FUSE BOX UNDER HOOD. RESTARTED VEHICLE AND DASH "SERVICE" INDICATOR FLASHED ON BUT POWER STEERING WORKED FOR 2 CORNERS (200 YARDS) WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH AND FAILED WITH SAME SERVICE WARNING. LIMPED TRUCK WITH NO POWER STEERING TO DEALER ABOUT 3 MILES. NO NOTICEABLE AFFECT TO ACCELERATOR OR OTHER ELECTRONICS IN THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE HAS 39,400 MILES ON IT.
DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK WHILE DRIVING AND ALSO AFTER TRUCK IS TURNED OFF AND KEY REMOVED FROM IGNITION ....PROBLEM HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR SOME TIME NOW BUT IS GETTING WORSE
THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER SUFFERED A CRACK AND LEAKED REFRIGERANT REQUIRING THE ENTIRE CONDENSER TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A WIDESPREAD ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL. GM HAS OFFERED EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE ON THIS DEFECTIVE PART FOR OTHER MAKES AND MODELS WHICH USE THE EXACT SAME UNIT, HOWEVER, THEY HAVE REFUSED TO OFFER THE SAME COVERAGE TO SILVERADO OWNERS. AT LOW SPEEDS OF 15MPH OR LESS, WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED, THE VEHICLES BRAKE ASSIST STOPS WORKING AND THE ELECTRIC TO THE CAR FLASHES OFF. IF SPEEDS ARE LOW ENOUGH AND YOU APPLY BRAKES WHILE TURNING RIGHT AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE WILL SHUTOFF AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKS. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND POOR DESIGN.

MY TRUCK IS SHOWING SIGNS OF THE DEFECTIVE VACUUM PUMP. PROBLEM WAS SPARATIC AND NOTICED IT SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE TRUCK WITH 95,000 MILES ON IT. NOW AT 105,000 MILES IT STARTED HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY SO I RESEARCHED IT. RANDOMLY AT SLOW SPEEDS LIKE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT OR MY DRIVEWAY OR EASING UP AT A STOP LIGHT IN TRAFFIC THE BRAKES LOSE ALL POWER ASSIST. IT FEELS LIKE THE ABS IS KICKING IN AND THE TRUCK JUST KEEPS ROLLING. IT TAKES ABOUT ALL THE FORCE YOU CAN GIVE TO GET THE TRUCK TO STOP. WILL BE BRINGING THE TRUCK INTO CHEVY THIS WEEKEND. WAS HOPING FOR A RECALL BEFORE I HAD TO DISH OUT THE MONEY SINCE IT DOES SEEM TO BE AN EXTREMELY UNSAFE PREMATURE BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE WITH NO WARNING UNTIL THE TRUCK DOES NOT STOP.

THIS IS A FOLLOW UP FROM COMPLAINT #11228752 REGARDING THE AC ISSUES ON CHEVY &GMC PICKUPS FROM 2014 THRU 2017 YEAR MODELS. FROM RESEARCH I DID 98% OF THE FAILURES WAS THE CONDENSER WHICH ALSO INCLUDES THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER. MY CONDENSER FAILED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FIRST 3 TUBES BELOW THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AS DID MY FRIENDS 2016 SIERRA AND ANOTHER FRIEND'S 2016 TEXAS EDITION SIERRA. SAME FAILURE SAME LOCATION AND BETWEEN 60 & 75K. REPAIRED MINE MYSELF & MY WARRANTY PAID ME BACK FOR NEW CONDENSER ($219) BUT NOT THE FREON OR MY LABOR. THERE'S MOST DEFINITELY AN ISSUE ON THIS PART AND SAW NO VISIBLE DIFFERENCE IN THE OLD/ NEW PIECE OTHER THAN A 6'X 6' SQUARE OF ALUMINUM TYPE FLEX PAD IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER ON DRIVER'S SIDE. SIMILAR TO THE 2018 MODELS NOT AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM. *TR
WHEN IN MOTION HARSH SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS, SOMETIMES SO VIOLENT IT FEELS LIKE ANOTHER CAR HIT ME. WHEN ACCELERATING THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO SEARCH FOR GEARS, AND IS SLUGGISH FOR A HIGH HORSEPOWER VEHICLE. CONCERNING WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE IN TRAFFIC, TRANSMISSION HESITATES AND DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY APPLY POWER. HAD TRANSMISSION SERVICED 5 MONTHS AGO DUE TO SHUDDER AND SHAKE BETWEEN 20-35MPH. TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH HELPED FOR A FEW MONTHS, BUT SHUDDER IS RETURNING AS WELL.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.

I WAS AT A STOP SIGN TRYING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN AND THE TRUCK STEERING LOCKED UP AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN IN A DRIVE THRU FAST FOOD PLACE. I'M SCARED IT'S GOING TO CAUSE ME TO WRECK WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE TRUCK WHEN IT HAPPENS AND MY LIGHTS, RADIO, AND DOOR LOCKS GO OUT THEN COME BACK ON.
I WAS ENTERING A STRUCTURE PARKING AT LOW SPEED WHEN I NEEDED TO STOP TO GIVE THE RIGHT OF WAY FOR CROSS TRAFFIC , AT THIS TIME I PROCEEDED TO PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE BRAKE WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO STOP. I CONTACTED A LOCAL DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T HELP ME BECAUSE THEY WERE BUSY WHICH I THINK IS UNACCEPATABLE I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT OVER A WEEK TO TAKE MY TRUCK IN FOR THIS SERVICE. BRAKE FAILURE SHOULD BE A PRIORITY FOR ANY AUTOMOTIVE DEALER.MY TRUCK HAS ABOUT 33500 MILES AND I HAVE MAINTAINED AND SERVICED IT PROPERLY.
