TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF WHILE MAKING A TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON TWELVE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DAVE GILL CHEVROLET (4700 E. BROAD ST, COLUMBUS, OH), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
Air conditioning compressor busted and spilled oil and metal shards all over road. Condenser coil sprung a leak in 2019. Heavy vibrations in cabin when driving interstate speeds. Oil cooler lines leaking causing oil leaks and now I am noticing a leak on the radiator! Leak on the inner drivers side axle seal.
UNEXPECTED TOTAL LOSS OF BRAKING WHILE BAKING UP, THEN HARD BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO TRAVEL GOING FORWARD. I WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP PUT VEHICLE IN REVERSE TO BACK TRAILER IN AND ALL OF A SUDDEN BRAKE WAS COMPLETELY HARD WITH NOT PEDAL TRAVEL EXTREMELY HARD PRESSING ON BRAKE CAUSE EXTREMELY MARGINAL STOPPING POWER VEHICLE SLOWED SLIGHTLY.
BRAKES GO OUT NUMEROUS TIMES AND IT IS HARD TO STOP EVEN WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THE FLOOR. THIS OCCURS ON THE ROADWAYS AND PARKING LOTS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC/ CONGESTED AREAS.
OUR AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER WENT OUT AFTER ONLY OWNING THE VEHICLE 3.5 YEARS AND 70K MILES. WE BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. IT IS COSTING US $1100 TO FIX.
WHILE BACKING MY TRUCK UP AT SLOW SPEEDS IF I PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL 3 OR MORE TIMES MY BRAKE PEDAL GETS HARD AND VEHICLE WILL NOT STOP WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS MY TRUCK ALMOST WENT INTO LAKE
I HAVE 60,000 MILES AND BOUGHT IT NEW AND TODAY MY AC GOES OUT HERE IS ANOTHER 1000 DOLLARS TO REPAIR THE CONDENSER I SEE THERE ARE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS YEAR WHAT CAN WE DO THIS IS SUCH A SHAME FOR THE CHEVROLET FAMILY WE PURCHASE APPX 10 A YEAR AND THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO MY BROTHER HAS A 2015 ALSO AND HAS REPLACED THE CONDENSER 2 TIMES ALREADY WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMERS!!?? NOT ONLY THAT BUT I CALLED YOUNG CHEVROLET AT 7:27AM AND SPOKE WITH THE PARTS/SERVICE DEPT AND THEY SAID TAKE IT ANYWHERE NOT THE CHEVY CORP OFFICE IS STATING NO AFTER I ALREADY STARTED THE REPAIR I CANT BE WITH OUT AC I HAVE BREATHING ISSUES AND THE HOT TEXAS HEAT DOESN'T HELP THEY REALLY NEED TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER!
MY TRUCK ENGINE STARTED SHAKING REALLY BAD OUT OF NOWHERE AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY I IMMEDIATELY EXIT THE FREEWAY BECAUSE THE TRUCK FELT LIKE IT WAS FORCE TO DRIVE AND THE SHAKING NEVER WENT AWAY. THE LIGHT FOR THE ENGINE ON THE DASH BOARD STARTING TURNING ON AND OFF AS I DROVE THE TRUCK SLOWY OUT OF THE FREEWAY. THE ENGINE LIGHT HAD NEVER TURN ON BEFORE THIS INCIDENT . I TOOK MY TRUCK IMMEDIATELY TO FIRESTONE, THAT'S WHERE I DO ALL MY TRUCK SERVICES. THEY RUN SOME TEST TO SEE WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM AND DETERMINE WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO TO FIX IT. AFTER INSPECTING MY TRUCK THEY FOUND THAT MY ENGINE HAD A ISSUES AN IT NEED IT TO BE EITHER FIX OR REPLACE. THEY ASK TO TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASE MY NEW TRUCK AT THE TIME THAT I BOUGHT IT AND TO EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT THE ENGINE WAS BAD AND THEY NEED IT TO CHECK THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THEIR IS A TBS IN THIS PARTICULAR ENGINE AND IT COULD BE ONE OF THE DEFECTIVE ENGINES THAT WERE MADE DTC P050D AND P0300 ARE THE CODES. REFERENCE #PIP5498K. BUT IF THOUGH I HAD THAT INFORMATION TO THE. DEALERSHIP SERVICE TECHNICIAN HE IGNORED THAT AN TOLD ME THAT I ORDER FOR THEM TO LOOK AT MY TRUCK FOR THAT PROBLEM THAT I NEEDED TO PAY FOR THE SERVICES THAT WAS $2500. I EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT IT COULD BE A DEFECTIVE ENGINE FROM THEM BUT HE DID NOT CARE ABOUT THAT BECAUSE I WAS OVER MY WARRANTY COVERAGE SO IN ORDER FOR THEM TO INSPECT IT I HAD TO PAY. AND DIDN'T WANT TO HELP ME.

THE VEHICLE WAS QUICKLY MANEUVERED OFF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND TWO UNKNOWN DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO CHECK WITH THE DEALER. KEYES CHEVROLET (5949 VAN NUYS BLVD, SHERMAN OAKS, CA 91401, (818) 933-3000) INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY OR INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE WOULD NEED TO BE TAKEN APART FOR FURTHER EXTENSIVE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V007000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I WAS MAKING A TURN ONTO HIGHWAY 39 IN MERIDIAN, MS WHEN THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. AFTER PULLING OVER AND TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF FOR A FEW MOMENTS, THE POWER STEERING RETURNED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE IN FRONT STOPPED ABRUPTLY. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO AVOID THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, CRASHED INTO THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE WHEELER AUTO CENTER DEALER (530-673-9160, 350 COLUSA AVE, YUBA CITY, CA 95991) WHERE THE FRONT END WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED BUT THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 62,000.
WHILE BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER ASSIST TO THE BRAKING SYSTEM MAKING IT HARD TO STOP. MOST TIMES I HAVE BEEN IN A PARKING LOT PARKING, HOWEVER I WAS IN BALTIMORE CITY TRAFFIC LAST WEEK AND THE PROBLEM HAPPENED. KINDA SCARY. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
AT TIME WHEN DRIVING SLOWLY THE BRAKES FEEL HARD WHICH MAKES IT HARD TO STOP
70,000 MILES AND TRUCK NEEDS A CONDENSER. IT IS A KNOW PROBLEM AND CHEVROLET NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. IT IS A 1000.00 REPAIR.
BRAKES BECOME DIFFICULT TO OPERATE AND/OR INOPERABLE ON 2015 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500. TYPICALLY OCCURS AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN PARKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE YEARS. THIS HAS CAUSED ME TO BACK INTO A PARKED VEHICLE AND HAS CAUSED MANY NEAR DISASTERS WHEN POSITIONING THE CAMPER. I HAVE JUST RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM GM THAT THEY HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM, BUT ARE NOT TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILITY. THEY ARE OFFERING TO MAKE SOME REPAIRS UNDER A "SPECIAL COVERAGE PROGRAM," WHICH EXCLUDES MY VEHICLE DUE TO MILEAGE. THIS SHOULD BE A FULL AND COMPLETE RECALL FOR ALL VEHICLES EFFECTED.
MY TRUCK IS 3 YEARS OLD I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE IN FLORIDA AND MY AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THE PART WAS MADE POORLY AND MY CHILDREN THAT ARE 2 AND 6 MONTHS HAD TO DRIVE IN THE HEAT WITH NO AIR DUE TO IT GOING OUT AND THEM NOT BEING ABLE TO FIX IN 48 HOURS.
WHEN BRAKING FREQUENTLY IN A PARKING LOT OR AT LOW SPEEDS THE STOPPING POWER GETS WORSE AND ALMOST WILL NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. I HAVE 86,760 MILES ON MY TRUCK CURRENTLY BUT THIS HAS DONE IT SINCE 20,000 MILES AND SINCE THEN OFF AND ON.
WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS IT HARD TO STOP, THE BRAKE GET HARD AND THE VEHICLE IS HARDER TO STOP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 15000. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH, SHE HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED SHE CONTINUED TO DRIVE TO HER RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED WHEN EXITING THE VEHICLE, SHE SAW THE REAR POWER SLIDING WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE CRACKED. THE CONTACT CALLED HER INSURANCE COMPANY TO HAVE THE WINDOW REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF A DEALER WAS CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CLASSIC CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 8501 N OWASSO EXPY, OWASSO, OK 74055, (888) 981-6002) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE RESULTS WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,600.
THE WELD ON THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDESER HAS BROKEN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THIS IS CAUSING THE FREON TO LEAK OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSES EXTREMELY HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE VEHICLE, AND ALSO CAUSES THE WINDOWS TO FOG UP.
WHEN TRAVELING IN LOW SPEEDS, USUALLY IN REVERSE, I HAVE TO INCREASE MY BREAK PEDAL EFFORT AND PRESS REALLY HARD TO STOP THE TRUCK. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT BUT IT DOES HAPPEN OFTEN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CHRIS MYERS GMV DODGE (27163 US-98, DAPHNE, AL 36526, (251) 621-8885) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT NEW BRAKES WERE NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,382.
INCREASED BRAKE PEDAL EFFORT, HARD BRAKE PEDAL, AND/OR POTENTIALLY INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE DUE TO LOW MECHANICAL VACUUM PUMP OUTPUT. CONDITION IS MORE PREVALENT AT LOW SPEED WHEN SOFTLY APPLYING THE BRAKE. DECREASE VACUUM/POWER BRAKE ASSIST OVER TIME, FAILURE TO FOLLOW RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE INTERVALS COULD CONTRIBUTE TO CONDITIONS. DRIVER'S INFORMATION CENTER (DIC) "SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST" ALERT WILL ACTIVATE 2-5 MINUTES AFTER DROPPING IN VACUUM LEVEL, AND DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) WILL ALSO BE SET. HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM REMAINS FUNCTIONAL BUT MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PEDAL FORCE.
MY VACUUM PUMP ON MY 2015 HIGH COUNTRY SILVERADO IS GOING BAD, IS WHAT THE CHEVY DEALER DIAGNOSED AFTER I EXPLAINED HOW WHEN I REVERSE SPECIALLY IT FEELS LIKE MY BRAKES ARE FAILING AND THEN THE PEDDLE GETS SUPER HARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MATT BLATT KIA OF TOMS RIVER (1070 NJ-37, TOMS RIVER, NJ 08755, (732) 281-0000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINES WERE RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000. *BF CONSUMER STATED HE GIVES PERMISSION FOR NHTSA ON THE FUEL LINE LEAKING GAS.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING DOWN A HILL, THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE VEHICLE SLID BEFORE FINALLY COMING TO A STOP. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,425.
HEADLIGHTS FLICKERING WHEN ON. WHILE IN MOTION MY STABILITRACK LIGHT ILLUMINATES ALONG WITH THE SEATBELT LIGHT. WHEN USING THE TURN SIGNAL THE RADIO DISPLAY GOES OUT FOR ABOUT A SECOND AND TURNS BACK ON. WHEN BRAKING THE RADIO DISPLAY GOES OFF FOR A SECOND. I GET A LOW BATTERY SIGNAL MAYBE 2 OR 3 TIMES A WEEK, I DRIVE MY TRUCK DAILY. IT HAS 76K MILES. I LOSE POWER STEERING AFTER ABOUT 150 MILE DRIVE. ITS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 3-4 MONTHS. 4/22/2019 WAS THE WORST. ALL OF IT HAPPENED YESTERDAY ON A 175 MILE DRIVE
MY TRUCK HAS A STUCK LIFTER

IN ADDITION, WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL THE HEAD LIGHTS WOULD FLICKER OFF AND ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER BUFF WHELAN (40445 VAN DYKE AVE, STERLING HEIGHTS MI.) WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
HAVE BEEN PARKING OR BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACES AND BRAKE HARDENS AND LOCKS WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING. HAS ALSO HAPPENED WHILE STUCK IN SLOW TRAFFIC. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES ON DIFFERENT DAYS.
BRAKE ASSIST VACUUM PUMP FAILS. SPECIAL BULLETIN ISSUES WITH WARRANTY EXTENSION. WHAT GM IS FAILING TO TELL PEOPLE, BRAKING DOES NOT SIMPLY BECOME DIFFICULT AT LOW SPEEDS, BRAKES FAIL AT NORMAL SPEEDS. VEHICLE IN MOTION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, EVENTUALLY ABLE TO GET IT STOPPED AFTER EXTREME EXTENSION OF NORMAL BRAKING DISTANCE. AFTER SUGGESTED WARRANTY REPAIR I CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE INTERMITTENT ISSUES.
I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING OF A BRAKING ISSUE SINCE I PURCHASED MY TRUCK IN 2015 AND HAVE HAD THEM INSPECTED AT SEVERAL CHEVY DEALERSHIPS, STONEBRIAR CHEVROLET N FRISCO, HUFFINES CHEVROLET IN LEWISVILLE. WE HAVE MOVED AND I TOOK INTO TODAY AND NOW THAT THE TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY I'M BEING TOLD I HAVE A FAULTY VACUUM PUMP THAT COULD CAUSE MY BRAKES TO FAIL. THE DEALER, PETERS CHEVROLET IN LONGVIEW, ALSO STATES UNFORUNTELY HE CANNOT SEE MY SERVICE RECORDS TO CONFIRM THE PREVIOUS BRAKE CHECKS WHICH IS RIDICULOUS. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND GM IS TAKING NO ACCOUNTABILITY IN THIS AND DEMANDING A CHANGE OF $600 TO REPLACE. PLEASE HELP.
LOSS OF POWER BRAKING WHILE TRAVELING SLOWING AND USING THE BRAKES
BRAKE FAILURE , WHILE PULLING INTO OR OUT OF A PARKING SPOT , BRAKES LOSE PRESSURE AND BECOME VERY STIFF AND STOP WORKING. THE PEDAL BECOMES QUITE HARD AND WILL NOT WORK CAUSING VEHICLE TO CONTINUE MOVING FORWARD OR REVERSE. ESPECIALLY AT SLOW SPEEDS, I HAVE BARELY MISSED IMPACTING THE CARS ACROSS THE PARKING LOT.
I HAVEN'T USED THE A/C IN MY TRUCK SINCE LAST OCTOBER (2018) APPROXIMATELY. TWO WEEKS AGO WAS THE FIRST TIME I'VE TRIED TO USE MY A/C AND IT IS ONLY BLOWING HOT AIR, AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. FROM WHAT I'VE RESEARCHED, THIS IS AN KNOWN PROBLEM WITH A LOT OF VEHICLES FROM GM FROM 2014-2017 AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT.THIS IS NOT OKAY, WHATSOEVER.

THE CONTACT HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS ON A DAILY BASIS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES WERE FRACTURED AND CAUSED THE HEADLIGHTS TO BE VERY DIM. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO JUD KUHN CHEVROLET (3740 HWY 9 E, LITTLE RIVER, SC 29566) AND THEY OFFERED TO REPAIR THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY HALF OF THE REPAIR COST. TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCES A SHUDDER THAT CYCLES EVERY 3 SECONDS. THE TORQUE CONVERTER HAD BEEN REPLACED BUT AFTER 45000 MILES IT HAS RETURNED. DEALER HAS RECOMMENDED A NEW TYPE OF TRANSMISSION FLUID REPLACEMENT. ALSO HAD A AFM LIFTER THAT COLLAPSED AND WAS REPLACED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BECK AND MASTEN BUICK GMC SOUTH (12820 GULF FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77034, (713) 396-3510) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CODE REQUIRED AN UPDATE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 34,000.
CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAILED WITH LESS THAN 80,000 MILES. THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP, DENOOYER CHEVROLET, FROM WHICH IT HAD BEEN BOUGHT NEW AND BY WHICH IT HAD ALWAYS BEEN SERVICED TO REMEDY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PRIOR TO 80,000 MILES WITH AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM ANY DIAGNOSTIC AND REMEDIATION COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. DEALER DID NOT MAKE REPAIR AND ADVISED IT WOULD COST ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO EVEN FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. I NOW HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO A SEPARATE SHOP FOR DIAGNOSIS AND WAS TOLD A CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAS GONE BAD. HOWEVER, I AM NOW SLIGHTLY AT 89,000 MILES. DEALER IS SAYING WARRANTY ON CATALYTIC CONVERTS EXPIRED AT 80,000 MILES. FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WARPED WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP. A/C COOLING COIL CRACKED UNDER 80,000 MILES AS WELL DUE TO A FAULTY PART, AND APPARENTLY THAT WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 30,000 MILES.
BRAKES STOP WORKING AT LOW SPEEDS OR WHEN REVERSING. FEEL LIKE THEY GET COMPLETELY STIFF AT LOW SPEEDS, AND DONT WORK AGAIN UNTIL I INCREASE THE AMPS. I HAVE READ THAT IT IS AN ISSUE WITH THE VACUUM PUMP. GETTING LOOKED AT TODAY. TRUCK HAS 77K MILES ON IT.
