BRAKES FAILED EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED IN NOV 26 CONSUMER REPORT ARTICLE AND EXACTLY AS CURRENTLY BEING INVESTIGATED BY NHTSA. BRAKES FAILED WHILE IN MOTION AT OUR LOCAL TRANSFER STATION (DUMP) WHILE TURNING - BACKING UP AND PULLING FORWARD. BRAKES FAILED WHEN THE TRUCKS RPM FELL BELOW 800 RPM AND THE VACUUM ASSIST FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP AND I AM A LARGE MAN. HAVE COPY OF REPAIR BILL FROM DEALER DATED 10/03/18. DEALER WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE ISSUES AND HAD SERVICED OTHER CHEVROLET VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. CONTACTED CHEVROLET DIV/GM. MADE A CALL, SEND AND -MAIL AND WROTE A LETTER. NO RESPONSE TO LETTER OR E-MAIL ASKING FOR A REFUND. RECEIVED A CALL IN RESPONSE TO MY CALL. CHEV REP STATED THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROBLEM.?? TOLD THE CALLER THAN ONLY NEED TO CHECK THE INTERNET TO FIND MANY COMPLAINTS. CONSUMER REPORTS THAT ONLY 111 COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THERE ARE MANY MORE. I SUSPECT THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS WILL INCREASE NOT THAT THE "CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG" SO TO SPEAK. PLEASE INSIST ON A RECALL I THINK IT WILL SAVE LIVES. NO NEED TO WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE DIES.
The transmission makes a Clunking sound when i put it in Drive or Reverse gear, plus it slips between gears when i start to drive off and it hesitates to shift between gears
THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP ON SEPT. 24 FOR RECALL REPAIR OF FAULTY STEERING. ON OCT.1 STEERING LOCKED UP AND BRAKES FAILED WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AND AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED. ACCIDENT REPORT FILED WITH MISSOURI STATE POLICE.
TRANSMISSION IS CONTINUALLY HESITATING - WHEN COMING TO STOP AND THEN ACCELERATING AGAIN. IT IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENT 3 TIMES
I'VE NOTICED A BIG DECREES IN BREAKING PERFORMANCE IN THE PAST MONTH DOUBLING THE DISTANCE IT TAKES TO COMPLETELY STOP AND IT'S ALMOST CAUSED ME TO REAR END A FEW PEOPLE.
BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD AND BRAKES INEFFECTIVE IF THE PEDAL IS PUSHED AND RELEASED AT IDLE. BRAKE DO NOT START WORKING PROPERLY AGAIN UNTIL THE ACCELERATOR HAS BEEN PRESSED. "SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST" MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED ON THE DIAGNOSTICS SCREEN. DEFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH THE VACUUM PUMP.
BRAKES BECOME EXTREMELY HARD AND HAVE TO PUSH DOWN WITH BIG FEET TO STOP.
WHEN TRYING TO PARK THE BRAKE PEDAL SEEMS TO BECOME VERY STIFF AND THE VEHICLE DOESN'T WANT TO STOP. I HAVE TO USE ALL MY WEIGHT ON THE PEDAL TO GET MY VEHICLE TO STOP. IT SEEMS TO ALWAYS HAPPEN A SLOW SPEEDS. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM WHEN PARKING IN MY DRIVE WAY, A PARKING LOT, AND IT HAPPENED DURING A 3 POINT TURN.
ABT 1:24PM PARKING LOT SPACES ARE STRAIGHT DRIVER WAS PULLING OUT OF PARKING LOT AT WELLS FARGO IN THE W SIDE OF THE CITY BROUGHT A FRIEND TO BANK, GOT INTO VEHICLE STARTED HEADING OUT OF PARKING LOT DRIVER WAS GOING TOWARDS ONE DIRECTION TO GO TO THE RIGHT TO GET OUT THAN CHANGED MIND , HEADED TOWARS OTHER DIRECTION TO LEFT DRIVER MADE A SHARP LEFT TURN TO GO BETWEEN LIGHT POLE & OTHER VEHICLES PARKED IN LOT WATCHING ANOTHER VEHICLE TO LEFT & TO THE RIGHT WAS A LIGHT POLE DRIVER THOUGHT EVERYTHING WAS FINE , NEXT THING YOU KNOW THE PASSANGER SCREAMED OUT "STOP" DRIVER HIT POLE PASSANGER STATES EVERYTHING WAS GOING FINE THAN VEHICLE WENT STRAIGHT BY ITSELF DRIVER DID NOT STRAIGHTEN OUT THE WHEEL AT ALL WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF EXECUTING A LEFT TURN VEHICLE TIRES WERE COMPLETLY TURNED TO GO LEFT - DIDNT STRAIGHTEN OUT WHEELS AT ALL THAN ALL OF A SUDDEN VEHICLE WENT STRAIGHT INTO POLE DRIVER STATES IN ABOUT 2 SECS. OR LESS VEHICLE SWITCHED WHILE EXECUTING TURN INTO POLE NO WITNESS VEHICLE'S POI - RIGHT OF THE CENTER OF VEHICLE'S FRONT BUMPER NO DAMAGE TO POLE - HIT CONCRETE BARRIER NO INJ. NO PR COLLISION CAME AS A COMPLETE SURPRISE DRIVER NOT SURE OF ANY CAMERAS IN THE AREA OF WELLS FARGO PARKING LOT- NOT SURE
AT 32,744 MILES AND 42 MONTHS THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY STARTED RATTLING AND SHIFTED TO 3:00. CODES SERVICE STABLE TRACK AND ASSISTED POWER STEERING APPEARED ON THE DASH LIGHTS. TOOK TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS FAILURE ON STEERING RACK. TRUCK HAS NO MODIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED A NEW RACK AT A COST OF $1295.69. 2014 TRUCKS HAD A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE.
AT LOW SPEEDS AND OR STARTING FROM A STOP AND REAPPLYING THE BRAKES THE BRAKE PEDAL GETS EXTREMELY HARD AND WILL NOT HOLD THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING FORWARD. YOU MUST PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AS HARD AS YOU CAN WITH BOTH FEET TO TRY TO KEEP THE VEHICLE STOPPED. I HAVE TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AT EACH STOP. EACH OCCURRENCE HAS HAPPENED ON A CITY STREET.
THE IGNITION LOCK BOUND AND STUCK IN THE START POSITION TWICE. OTHER VEHICLES IN THE SAME YEAR MODEL HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS PER YOUR CAMPAIGN# 15V640000 OR YOUR RECALL #N182156820. GM'S RECALL IS 15573. GM INFORMED ME THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT IN THE RECALL GROUP EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED
MY BRAKES FAILED TO WORK WHEN I WAS PULLING INTO MY PARKING LOT. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN INTERMITTENTLY AND ONLY AT LOW SPEEDS. THE BRAKES WORKED AGAIN LATER IN THE DAY. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM (RIVER VIEW CHEVROLET IN MCKEESPORT PA) AND THEY SAID THEY DID EXTENSIVE TEST BUT COULD NOT RECREATE THE ISSUE AND COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM THAT WOULD CAUSED THE BRAKES TO NOT WORK.
LOSS OF BRAKES 2 TIMES ONCE ON INTERSTATE 40, AND ONCE ON A HILL IN TOWN..BRAKES WENT TO FLOOR .FINELY STOPED.
WHILE SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN, USUALLY ALWAYS USING TURN SIGNAL, MY TRUCK WILL COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WITH NO WARNING. THE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN AND ALL ELECTRICAL IS LOST. LUCKILY I HAVEN'T BEEN HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE WHILE TRYING TO RESTART MY TRUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION HAD TO JUMP OUT CAR SO I WASN'T IN SIDE IF HIT FINALLY CARS STOP HONKING I JUMPED BACK IN AND STARTED UP AGAIN I WAS SCARED HAD MY CHILDREN WITH ME
THE DRIVERS SEAT MAKES A LATERAL MOVEMENT AND/OR CLICKING NOISE. THE SEAT IS NOT STABLE AND CAN CAUSE A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE SEAT MOVEMENT WHEN DRIVING. GM IS COMPLETELY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM EXISTS ON 2014, 2015, 2016 SILVERADO'S AND ON OTHER GM VEHICLES. GM WILL REPAIR THE PROBLEM IF THE OWNER NOTICES IT DURING THE 36 MONTH/36000 MILES BUT IS REFUSING TO REPAIR IT AFTER THAT. GM HAS SUPPOSEDLY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM IN 2017 AND NEWER VEHICLES. SERVICE BULLETIN #18-NA-377 DATED DEC 17, 2018 DOCUMENT ID # 5185379 APPLIES. THIS MOVEMENT AND NOISE OCCURS WHILE DRIVING ESPECIALLY WHILE TURNING AND IS COMPLETELY DISTRACTING. THIS DEFECT IN THE FRONT SEAT MECHANISM ALLOWS FOR SAFETY CONCERNS THAT THE SEAT CAN BECOME DISLODGED ESPECIALLY DURING AN ACCIDENT. GM HAS REFUSED TO REPAIR AND CORRECT THIS DEFECT THAT THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT FOR YEARS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE THE CONTACT'S SPOUSE WAS DRIVING 5 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT VERY FIRM. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO MORAN CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 4511 24TH AVE, FORT GRATIOT TWP, MI 48059, (812) 202-4062) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP, BRAKE BOOSTER, BRAKE LINES, AND BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,324.
VERY STIFF BRAKE PEDAL WHILE TRYING TO PARK AT SLOW SPEEDS. COULD NOT PRESS THE PEDAL HARD ENOUGH TO STOP THE VEHICLE WHILE I WAS BACKING INTO MY PARKING SPOT. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS THERE ARE PEDESTRIANS AND OTHER VEHICLES IN THE PARKING LOT. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. IT ALSO HAPPENED WHEN I BACKED INTO MY PARKING SPACE WHEN I RETURNED HOME.
BRAKES WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AND I HAD TO PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN AS HARD AS I COULD TO GET TRUCK TO SLOW DOWN WHILE I MOVED OVER TO THE SHOULDER. IT TURNS OUT THE VACUUM PUMP ON MY BRAKING SYSTEM WENT OUT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED TO WORK WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT HAD TO STAND ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SHOULDER. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
A/C CONDENSOR LEAKS AND A/C STOPS WORKING THIS HAPPENS JUST AFTER THE MANUFACTURE WARRANTY EXPIRES MY TRUCK AC STOP WORKING AT 37,688
WHILE BACKING UP VEHICLE, AT A SLOW SPEED, GRAVEL DRIVEWAY, BACKING DOWN HILL, BRAKE PEDAL BECAME HARD AND REQUIRED A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT MORE BRAKING EFFORT WITH MUCH LESS EFFECT. AFTER VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND MOVED FORWARD, THIS WAS STILL PRESENT. VEHICLE WAS AGAIN STOPPED AND THEN POWER CYCLED. THIS RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO NORMAL.
MY COMPLAINT OR SAFETY NOTICE IS THAT ON AUGUST 12 2018 THE BRAKE PEDAL ON MY 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 BEGAN COMPRESSING A SHORT DISTANCE AND THEN BECAME EXTREMELY HARD, THE VEHICLE IS BY ALL PHYSICAL MEANS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP EVEN AT A VERY SLOW SPEED. I HAD MY TRUCK TOWED TO MY DEALER BELIEVING IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE "BRAKE SYSTEM VACUUM PUMP AND BOOSTER HAD FAILED DUE TO INTERNAL CONTAMINATION. THERE IS NO WARNING IN THE VEHICLE SENSING SYSTEM TO ADVISE THE OPERATOR TO HAVE THE BRAKES SERVICED FOR THIS ISSUE. CHEVROLET ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN (TSB #PIT5361A & #PIT5361B) IN 2016. OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. MINE BRAKES FAILED AFTER JUST PULLING IN MY DRIVEWAY FROM A 600 MILE TRIP. HAD THIS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEED, I WOULD HAVE LIKELY BEEN INJURED OR KILLED, AS WOULD ANY VEHICLE OCCUPANTS IN A CAR I COULD HAVE POTENTIALLY HIT. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM ONLINE, AND THERE ARE AN ENDLESS AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS POSTED FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM. UNFORTUNATELY THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL THAT I CAN FIND. IT WILL COST ME $1626 FOR THE REPAIR, I ASSUME THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE THE SAME TYPE THAT FAILED. UNDOUBTEDLY SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED, THERE ARE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES DRIVING AROUND AS I WRITE THIS COMPLAINT THAT ARE UNAWARE THEIR BRAKES MIGHT FAIL THE NEXT MOMENT THEY NEED THEM. ASK YOURSELF IF THIS HAS ALREADY CAUSED SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH, BUT THE FAILURE PERHAPS COULD NOT BE PINPOINTED DUE TO THE DAMAGE OF THE CRASH, REMEMBER THERE IS NO SENSOR OR WARNING FOR THIS ISSUE BEING LOGGED INTO THE CARS COMPUTER SYSTEM. ODDS ARE THIS HAS ALREADY CAUSED HARM. I'M ASKING THAT A RECALL BE IMPLEMENTED AND A SAFETY WARNING BE IMMEDIATELY RELEASED FOR VEHICLES THAT HAVE THIS DESIGN FLAW IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM. YOUR IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION COULD SAVE A LIFE.
I HAD A BRAKE DEFECTIVE VACUUM PUMP ON MY ON 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. I HAD THE VACUUM PUMP CHANGED ON 1/30/2019. MY BRAKES WERE LOSING PRESSURE WHEN I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY. MY BRAKES WOULD LOSE PRESSURE PRIMARILY WHILE I WAS BACKING UP. I HAVE NARROWLY MISSED HAVING SEVERAL ACCIDENTS (WITH OTHER VEHICLES AND PROPERTY) DUE TO THE PROBLEM. ON ONE INSTANCE, I LOST BRAKE PRESSURE GOING DOWN A HILL. BRAKING DISTANCE WAS INCREASED, AND SO WERE MY EFFORTS TO HALT MY TRUCK. I ALSO NOTICED MY BRAKES LOSING PRESSURE AFTER MY TRUCK GIVING ME SEVERAL ALERTS (WHILE DRIVING AND PARKED) ABOUT SERVICING THE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM. I AM NOT SURE IF THAT HAS ANY BEARING ON THE VACUUM PUMP. I WILL ALSO BE REPLACING THE TRAILER BRAKE SWITCH ON MY TRUCK. I HOPE THIS FIXES EVERYTHING AND I WILL NOT HAVE THAT PROBLEM AGAIN. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. THIS HAS BEEN A PARTICULAR PROBLEM WITH MY TRUCK SINCE ABOUT AUGUST OR SO.
BRAKE PEDAL GETS VERY HARD WHILE IN TRAFFIC ESPECIALLY WHILE TOWING A TRAILER. DEALER INITIALLY COULDN'T FIND AN ISSUE BUT EVENTUALLY REPLACED THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP, IT GOT BETTER BUT STILL INTERMITTENTLY DOES IT. WHEN IT HAPPENS YOU HAVE TO STAND ON THE PEDAL WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE TO GET THE TRUCK TO STOP.
AIR CONDITION COIL LEAK WHICH IS A COMMON PROBLEM BUT NO RECALL ON SILVERADO, BUT ON TAHOE. THIS IS THE SAME PART AND SAME ISSUE, SO WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL ON THE SILVERADO? I WOULD LIKE CREDIT FOR THE $1300 REPLACEMENT COST I PAID.
AT LOW SPEEDS WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL PUSHED IN THE TRUCK STILL ROLLS. ON THREE OCCASIONS OVER THE LAST 6 MONTHS THIS HAS HAPPENED AND ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE WRECKS. ONCE WAS IN THE MOUNTAINS, ONCE WAS TURNING ON A CURVE, ONCE WAS ON A STRAIGHT FLAT BLACK TOP.
WHEN MY TRUCK WAS UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY IT HAD A RATCHETING CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE RACK AND PINION. THE TRUCK HAD 89000 ON IT AND I CALLED CHEVROLET FILED A COMPLAINT. I WAS DRIVING LAST SUMMER AND I LOST MY STEERING GOING DOWN THE ROAD THEN I GOT IT BACK. THEN I TOOK IT IN FOR THE SOFTWARE UPDATE RECALL. THE CHEVROLET GARAGE TOLD ME THAT THE RACK AND PINION IS NOT COVERED UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. NOW THE TRUCK HAS 109000 AND THE RACK IS BINDING WORSE. I DID MY RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THEIR IS ALOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM I'M HAVING. THESE RACKS NEED TO BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT.

I UNDERSTAND FROM READING MANY GM FORUMS THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE HAPPENING SINCE 2014. GM HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE FAULTY DESIGN AND STILL HAS YET TO ISSUE A RECALL OR TSB. THE FORWARD PASSENGER SIDE DOOR ACTUATOR WENT OUT CAUSING MY DOOR TO BE UNABLE TO BE LOCKED OR UNLOCKED BY KEY, OR UNLOCK SWITCH ON DOOR. IT'S NOW COSTING ME $215 TO GET FIXED. AND I'VE SEEN MANY OTHER VEHICLES HAVING THIS PROBLEM. IT'S UNSAFE IT WILL NOT LOCK DURING DRIVING AND CAN'T LOCK IT IN PUBLIC AREAS.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD. APPROX 50,000 MILES DELEARSHIP STATES NO CURRENT RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE HOWEVER THERE WAS A LARGE RECALL FOR SAME ISSUE ON 2014 SILVERADO
AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING. BLOWING HOT DUE TO WORN HOLE IN HOSE (THOUSANDS OF KNOWN ISSUES ALL WITH EXACTLY THE SAME SYMPTOMS AND FIXES... E X A C T L Y!!!!!!) CALLED CHEV, THE GUY SAID NHTSA TELLS THEM WHAT TO PAY FOR AND WHAT TO RECALL SO THEY'RE HANDS ARE CLEAN OF THIS ISSUE. PARDON????? WORN HOLE? CHECK BAD CONDENSER? CHECK NO BRACKET? CHECK DEALERSHIP/MANUFACTURER PARTICIPATION? NO WAY IN HELL! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE BUSINESS AND THERE'S NO WAY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND ANYONE ELSE I CAN CALL ARE NOT GOING TO HEAR ABOUT THIS. OH YEAH, THE A/C NEVER GETS USED, OTHERWISE I WOULD'VE HAD IT FIXED 20K MILES AGO UNDER WARRANTY BUT I DIDN'T KNOW IT WASN'T WORKING. THERE'S RESIDUE ON THE HOSES FROM THE LEAK WHICH THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD'VE CAUGHT BUT THEY DIDN'T. MAYBE I GO THAT ROUTE?
MY PAINT IS FLAKING AWAY. SEEMS LIKE EVERY TIME I WASH IT THE CHIPS MULTIPLY. CHIPS COVER THE ENTIRE NODY

THE DEALER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS IN REGARDS TO THE FAILURE; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,038.

I WANTED TO FILE THIS BECAUSE I SAW THE NHTSA WAS INVESTIGATING FAULTY BRAKE VACUUM PUMPS AND MINE WAS NOT REPAIRED AT A CHEVROLET DEALER.

I GOOGLED SYMPTOM AND FOUND WHERE SOMEONE HAD DISCONNECTED BATTERY FOR AWHILE AND THAT FIXED IT. DID FOR ME TOO BUT FEEL THE FIX IN RECALL 14315 SHOULD BE APPLIED TO MY TRUCK AS WELL.
BOUGHT MY VEHICLE 2 MONTHS AGO AND AIRBAG LIGHT AND AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. WENT TO GET CHECKED OUT AND THE PASSENGER RETRACTABLE SENSOR IS BAD AND NEEDS FIXED. THIS SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE WITH MY NEWER TRUCK.

THE PART CRACKS, BREAKS, DISINTEGRATES, SIMPLY BY OPENING OR CLOSING THE TRUCK TAILGATE OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THE BUSING WAS DESIGNED TO ASSIST THE TAILGATE BY REDUCING THE WEIGHT OR MUSCLE NEEDED TO REST THE TAILGATE WITHOUT SLAMMING. WHEN THE BUSING CRACKS OR BREAKS THEN THE TAILGATE SLAMS DOWN. AT 46000 MILES THE AC UNIT COMPRESSOR WENT BAD. I RESEARCHED THIS AND FOUND IT TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THESE GM VEHICLES. I PERSONALLY KNOW 4 TRUCKS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE TO WONDER WHY GM HAS NOT RECALLED THIS VEHICLE KNOWING THEY HAVE AN ISSUE.
REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR SAYS IT'S NOT LATCHED BUT IT IS. THEREFORE THE DOORS DO NOT LOCK AUTOMATICALLY AND THE DOME LIGHTS DO NOT TURN OFF AUTOMATICALLY. THIS COULD CAUSE SOME SERIOUS ISSUES AS I DON'T KNOW IF THE DOOR IS PROPERLY LATCHED SINCE IT SAYS THIS ALL THE TIME. MY CHILDREN RIDE IN THE VEHICLE AND THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN.
