I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE EXCESSIVE SHAKING/VIBRATION IN THIS 2015 CHEVY SILVERADO AND, THUS FAR, GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE DEALERSHIP HAVE NO RESOLUTION IN SIGHT. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN OCCURING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (MOST NOTABLE ABOVE 73 MPH) SINCE THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED AUG 2015. AS THEY CAN'T IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, I CAN'T BE SURE THE ORIGIN IS OR IS NOT A SAFETY-REATED CONCERN. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BALANCED, RE-BALANCED, ROTATED, AND ROAD PRESSURE TESTED TIRES TO NO AVAIL. EVEN TRIED A NEW SET OF TIRES OFF OF A 2016 MODEL TO NO AVAIL. AS THIS MATTER CONTINUES AND DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE TIRE-RELATED, I'M WORRIED THAT THE ISSUE MAY BE IN THE SUSPENSION AND WILL, AT SOME POINT, CAUSE OR CREATE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWNHILL FOR APROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES TOWING A BOAT. MY FAMILY WAS IN THE TRUCK TOTAL OF FIVE PASSANGERS. SUDDENLY I NOTICED A SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING. I DROVE FRO APPROXIMATELY FIVE MORE MINUTES THE I NOTICED THE BREAK PEDAL WAS GOING ALL THE WAY IN, THEREFORE I PULLED OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THAT IS WHEN I SAW SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE LEFT FRONT TIRE BRAKES.
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH WAY SPEED ( 70 MPH POSTED LIMIT ) AND MAKING A RIGHT HAND LONG SWEEPING TURN THE TRUCKS STEERING WOULD STICK OR LOCK IN THE TURN POSITION. THIS CONDITION WOULD REQUIRE A ME TO FORCE THE STEERING WHEEL BACK TO CENTER. AT THIS TIME THE CONDITION ONLY PRESENTS ITS SELF DURING HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND LONG GRADUAL RIGHT HAND TURNS. THIS HAPPEND 6 OR 8 TIMES ON MY 800 MILES TRIP. THE DEALER CAN NOT REPLICATE THIS ISSUE AND AS A RESULT WILL NOT AGREE TO REPALCE ANY STEERING COMPONENTS AT THIS TIME. A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH INDICATES MANY OTHERS HAVE THIS SAME STEERING ISSUE WITH THEIR 2015 SILVERADOS WITH EPS STEERING AND THEIR DEALERS ARE ALOS UNABLE TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. IF THIS WAS AN ISSUE AT PARKING LOT SPEED I MAY NOT EVEN CARE BUT AT 70MPH THEN IT HAPPENS IT GETS YOUR ATTENTION VERY FAST. I CALLED CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY CLAIM NO REPORT OF SUCH AN ISSUE. AS A RESULT I WANTED TO AT LEAST REPORT THE ISSUE SO IT IS A MATTER OF RECORD.

AFTER PARKING AND REMOVING KEY STEERING WHEEL DISCONNECTS FROM FRONT WHEELS , MAKES A RATTLING NOISE AS IF SOME METALLIC PART IS LOOSE AND THEN THEN JAMS, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO ROTATE IGNITION KEY TO START TRUCK AGAIN. OTHER TIMES POWER STEERING ASSIST IS LOST AND TRUCK IS DIFFICULT TO STEER.
USE THIS TRUCK FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES TO HAUL TRAILERS. TRUCK HAS TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING 4 TIMES. THREE WHILE DRIVING WITH TRAILER WHEN IT HITS ROUGH ROAD OR UNDER CONSTRUCTION ROAD AND TAKES HARD JOLT TO FRONT END. FIRST YOU ARE DRIVING, THEN YOU HIT BUMP OR DIP IN ROAD AND YOU NOTICE YOU HAVE NO STEERING, WHEN YOU LOOK DOWN YOU NOTICE WHOLE DISPLAY IS SHUT DOWN ( LIKE IT WAS NEVER ON) WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS DISPLAYED. YOU HAVE TO PUT TRUCK INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING AND RESTART. LAST TIME IT HAPPENED HAD 30 FOOT TRAILER ON TRUCK AND WERE IN A DOWNHILL POSITION WITH A TURN AND NO STEERING CAPABILITY ( NO ANTILOCK OR TRAILER BRAKES BECAUSE THEY NEED ELECTRICITY TO OPERATE)AND 300 FT FROM GOING OFF EMBANKMENT AND THEN DROPPING 100FT INTO A GULLY. THE TRUCKS WHOLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TURNS OFF SHUTTING DOWN EVERYTHING IN THE TRUCK. OWN 7 TRUCKS AND HAVE OWNED 20 PLUS TRUCKS OVER THE YEARS. I HAVE HAD DESIGN FLAW ISSUES AND JUST FLUKE ISSUES THAT JUST HAPPEN TO THAT ONE TRUCK. THIS REALLY SEEMS MORE LIKE A DESIGN FLAW, EITHER IN IGNITION WITH THEIR NEW KEYS ( HAVE A 2012, THIS IGNITION IS DEFIANTLY DIFFERENT) OR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, OR MAYBE THEY ADDED SOME SENSOR THAT SHUTS TRUCK OFF IF IN A FRONT END IMPACT. IF I AM RIGHT THIS WILL KILL SOMEONE, THE TRUCK GIVES YOU NO WARNING BEFORE TURNING OFF AND MOST PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE THEY CAN SHIFT A CAR INTO NEUTRAL AND RESTART WHILE DRIVING AND SINCE IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE PULLING TRAILERS THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS NOT JUST FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSAGES OF THE VEHICLE BUT EVERY OTHER CAR OR TRUCK ON THE ROADWAY WITH IT. EXAMPLE OF THIS, THE LAST TIME WHEN WE COULD NOT STEER AND COULD NOT GO WITH THE TURN OF THE ROAD, THERE WAS A CAR IN THE SECOND LANE AND THE TRAILER WENT INTO THAT LANE, THE CAR HAD TO MAKE EVASIVE MANUVIERS TO AVOID IMPACT WITH TRAILER.
I AM IN A SITUATION WHERE I BOUGHT A 2015 DIESEL TRUCK AND TWO WEEKS LATER IT BROKE DOWN OUT OF STATE IN COLORADO WHILE ON VACATION. WE SPENT THE NIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY AS THE TRUCK WAS IN LIMP MODE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THE OUT OF STATE DEALER PRESSURED US INTO GETTING THEIR NEW DIESEL TRUCK BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH THE DIESEL EXHAUST IN 9 HOURS WE WAITED AT THE DEALERSHIP STRANDED. THE TRUCK WAS 15K MORE THAN THE FIRST TRUCK BUT I AM UPSET THEY MADE US RESPONSIBLE FOR THE 1800 MILES ON THE NEW TRUCK THAT BROKE DOWN A WEEK AFTER BUYING IT! THE SECOND TRUCK ALSO BROKE DOWN A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER WITH THE SAME ENGINE CODES AS THE FIRST TRUCK. THIS IS APPARENTLY A DEFECT WITH THIS YEARS DIESEL AND WE SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED. WE NEED HELP ASAP AS WE ARE BEING STRONG ARMED INTO THE SECOND TRUCK AS THE FIRST DEALER DOES NOT WANT TO DO A BUY BACK OF THE ORIGINAL NEW TRUCK THAT BROKE DOWN IN COLORADO AND LEFT US STRANDED. THE FIRST DEALER NOR THE SECOND DEALER DID NOT OFFER US ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE, LOANER VEHICLE OR OFFER US ANY TYPE OF RESOLUTION WHILE WE WERE STUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP. I OPENED A GM CASE 5 DAYS AGO AND STILL HAVE NOT HAD ANY RESOLVE AND THE SECOND TRUCK IS STILL AT THE CHEVY DEALER AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT. THE DEALERSHIPS SAY ITS A GM ISSUE BUT THEY REPRESENT THEM AND ALSO HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE OUR LOAN FAIR GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES OR PUT US IN A NEW TRUCK. WE DON'T THINK IT'S FAIR THAT THEY ROLL IN THE NEGATIVE EQUITY OF 5K IN OUR LOAN AS PER THE GM TODD AT FREEWAY CHEVY HE TOLD ME THERE ARE KNOWN ISSUES WITH THESE DIESEL TRUCKS AND THAT I AM NOT THE FIRST CUSTOMER TO EXPERIENCE THESE PROBLEMS. THEY ARE STILL SELLING THEM THOUGH AND NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS BY OFFERING SOLUTIONS INSTEAD OF PASSING THE BUCK. OUR GM CASE NUMBER IS PLEASE HELP.
PURCHASED THE 2015 SILVERADO 1500 NEW ON 08/04/2015. ONCE I WAS ABLE TO USE THE HEADLIGHTS I NOTICED THE LACK OF LIGHT OUTPUT ON THEM. I TRADED IN A 2011 KIA SEDONA AND THE HEADLIGHTS WERE FAR SUPERIOR TO THEM. MY 2006 HYUNDAI HAS BETTER LIGHTS. IM NOT SURE WHAT CAN BE DONE, DEALER IS AWARE OF IT AND HOPEFULLY WILL FIX SOON.
HAS A VIBRATION AT 65, TURNS INTO A BAD SHAKE AT 75.
NEW TRUCK, 15372 MILES, NO OFF ROADING OR ROUGH SURFACE DRIVING. PULLS TO THE RIGHT. CONCERNED ABOUT SUSPENSION/STEERING FAILURE. THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT. TWO CHEVY DEALERS HAVE LOOKED AT THE ISSUE WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. THERE IS NO REASON OTHER THAN MANUFACTURING ERROR THAT WOULD CAUSE THE PROBLEM. BOTH CHEVY DEALERS HAVE REPORTED THAT THE TIRES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION AND ONE DID AN ALIGNMENT. THE ALIGNMENT,I PAID FOR,DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE I USE THE VEHICLE TO PULL A TRAVEL TRAILER AS IT IS DESIGNED FOR. CHEVY,IN MY OPINION, IS NOT RESPONSIVE TO MY CONCERNS. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT LOOSING THE ABILITY TO CONTROL/STEER THE VEHICLE IF THE UNIDENTIFIED ISSUE IS NOT DISCOVERED OR RESOLVED BY CHEVY. I PROPOSE THAT DEFECTIVE PARTS,OR TIRES HAVE BEEN USED ON THE VEHICLE WHEN BUILT AND THEY ARE FAILING. SINCERELY THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE PULLED THE RIGHT. UPDATED 10/15/15*JB *TR
BOUGHT THE TRUCK NOTICED THERE IS A SHAKE WHEN DRIVING FROM 60-80 TOOK IT BACK SAME DAY I BOUGHT IT AND THEY SAID OH WE KNOW WHAT IT IS IT'S THE TIRES SO THE REPLACED THEM NOPE DIDN'T FIX IT SO TOOK IT BACK THEY REPLACED TWO MORE TIRES INTHE FRONT SAYING THE NEW ONES HAD A BALLS ON THEM SO TOOK IT HOME AND NOPE DIDN'T FIX IT SO TOOK IT BACK AGAINAND THEY DRIVE IT AND SAY IT'STHE DRIVE SHAFT SO THEY FIX IT I TAKE IT HOME . IT'S STILL NOT FIXED . IT MAKES FOR A VERY UNCOMFORTABLEDRIVE . WE BOUGHT A 46,000 TRUCK AND THERE'S PROBLEMS WITH IT. REALLY SCARED SOMETHING WRONG IS WITH IT AND THEDEALER DUO IS NOT HELPING. IF YOU GO PAST 80 THE TRUCK WHISTLES LIKE A SIREN. PLEASE HELP ME I TRAVELALLOT AND HAVE KIDS IN
THE TRUCKS HAVE A VIBRATION THAT IS FELT IN THE STEERING WHEEL, FLOOR, SEATS, ACCELERATOR AND BRAKE PEDALS ETC. WHILE DRIVING. THE MAJOR CONSENSUS IT THAT THE WORST SPEED IT 76 MPH, YET IT IS FELT TO A LESSER DEGREE AT ANY SPEEDS, WITH SOME BEING WORSE THAN OTHERS. THERE ARE A LARGE NUMBER OF TRUCKS WITH THIS ISSUE, YET GENERAL MOTORS REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT BEGAN WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS OF PURCHASING MY TRUCK. I FOUND PEOPLE FIRST REPORTING THE ISSUE IN 2015, AND MORE RECENTLY IT CONTINUES WITH THE 2015 AND 2016 MODEL YEARS.
DRIVE SHAFT IS OUT OF BALANCE CAUSING IT TO SHIMMY ON THE HIGHWAY, CALLED GM SEVERAL TIME NO RESPONSE TO PROBLEM TOKK BACK TO KUPPER CHEVY IN MANDAN ND THEY WON'T FIX NEEDS NEW DRIVE SHAFT BEEN COMPLAINING SINCE 5000 MILE NOW HAS 54000 AND STILL WILL NOT FIX
THIS IS THE 10TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, AND 3RD TIME THE VEHICLE HAS ENTERED THE SERVICE CENTER. OWN A 2015 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 CREW CAB Z71, AND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT DOES NOT TURN OVER, INDICATING THAT THERE IS A THEFT DETERRENT ISSUE. THE FIRST TIME THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE OR ERROR CODE. THE SECOND TIME SEVERAL ERROR CODES WERE PRESENT, WHICH THE DEALER RESET. THIS APPEARED TO FIX THE ISSUE, UNTIL 1 MONTH LATER THE ISSUE PRESENTED ITSELF AGAIN. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY WITH THE DEALER ON IT'S THIRD REPAIR ATTEMPT. THIS CAN BE VERY UNSAFE FOR A VEHICLE SINCE IN AN EMERGENCY NEED THE VEHICLE COULD BE INCAPABLE OF BEING DRIVEN.

WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT ON ANY ROADS THE VISIBILITY WITH THE LOW BEAMS IS TERRIBLE! THE HIGH BEAMS ARE WHAT THE LOW BEAMS SHOULD BE. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE ANYTHING IN THE DISTANCE OR ON THE SHOULDER. I HAVE BOUGHT CHEVY VEHICLES FOR 44 YEARS AND AM HEADING OUT TO TRADE MY 2015 SILVERADO IN FOR A DODGE. IT' S THE SAFEST THING I CAN DO SINCE CHEVY SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THAT BE DONE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 14 MPH ON A GRAVEL ROAD, BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT AND THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES. THE CONTACT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE ROUGH ROAD AND THAT THE VEHICLE FUNCTIONED AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,300.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.
EXCESSIVE VIBRATIONS WHILE DRIVING. MAINLY ON THE HIGHWAY. BEEN TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERS WITH NO RESOLUTION TO MY ISSUES! DON'T FEEL SAFE WITH DRIVING THE TRUCK I THINK MY CHEVY HAS THE A CASE OF THE CHEVY SHAKES! PLEASE HELP ME
I PURCHASED A NEW 2015 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HD DURAMAX CREW CAB LT FROM AUTO NATION OF PEMBROKE PINES FLORIDA AND AT ABOUT A WEEK OR TWO OF DRIVING IT I STARTED TO NOTICE A BUMP/CLUNK FROM THE REAR OF THE TRUCK JUST AS I WOULD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT ALSO DOES IT JUST APON A STRONG ACCELERATION. THE VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 500 MILES ON IT WHEN I STARTED TO NOTICE THIS. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE FIRST OIL CHANGE AT ABOUT 4K MILES AND TOLD THE SERVICE GUY WHAT WAS GOING ON. HE SAID THEY WOULD TEST DRIVE IT. WHEN I PICKED IT UP HE SAID THEY COULD FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I THINK IT'S THE SLIP YOKE STICKING AND NEEDS TO BE LUBRICATED OR REPLACED. SOME OF THE OLDER TRUCK HAD THIS ISSUE.
THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FULL FRONTAL COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN THE OTHER VEHICLE ENTERED THE ROADWAY. THE 2015 SUFFERED EXTENSIVE FRONT DAMAGE AND WAS DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. GM WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE NONE DEPLOYMENT. GM SENT A REPRESENTATIVE TO INVESTIGATE THE NONE DEPLOYMENT. AFTER THE INVESTIGATION GM NOTIFIED ME THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM FUNCTIONED PROPERLY AND THAT THERE WASN'T ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING. I KEPT ALL CORRESPONDENCE FROM GM BECAUSE I FELT THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM. THIS VEHICLE WAS LISTED IN A RECENT RECALL FROM GM CONCERNING AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING.
I APPLIED THE BRAKES FIRMLY FOR A CAR STOPPING SHORT UNEXPECTEDLY ON THE HIGHWAY. I RELEASED THE BRAKE FOR A SECOND OR TWO TO ALLOW ROOM FOR THE CAR BEHIND ME TO STOP IN TIME. WHEN I REAPPLIED THE BRAKE THE SECOND TIME, THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO BRAKING ACTION. THE PEDAL DID NOT MORE AND DID NOT TRAVEL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THERE WAS NO POWER ASSIST. I WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM LATER AT LOW SPEED WHEN THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC. I BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER WHO COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG BUT REPLACED THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP. THE CONDITION HAS NOT RE-OCCURRED SINCE THE REPAIR WAS MADE IN MAY. I HAVE INCLUDED A COPY OF THE SERVICE INVOICE. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE I SEE ON THE NEWS YOU ARE INVESTIGATING BRAKE ISSUES.
I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY ANOTHER SMALLER VEHICLE PUSHING ME INTO A MINIVAN IN FRONT OF ME. ON INITIAL IMPACT, THE DRIVERS SEAT WAS DISLODGED FROM THE MOUNTING FRAME. WHEN I HIT THE MINIVAN IN FRONT OF ME, THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND MY SHOULDER SEAT RESTRAINT DID NOT ENGAGE CAUSING MY EYE TO STRIKE THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE NERVE DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF THE SEAT BELT NOT ENGAGING AND THE AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED ENOUGH DAMAGE, INCLUDING FRAME DAMAGE, THAT IT WAS CONSIDERED A TOTAL LOSS. IT WAS 6 WEEKS OLD AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE ACCIDENT WHO REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. I BELIEVE THE SEAT MOUNTING FAILED, THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO PROPERLY DEPLOY AND THE SHOULDER RESTRAINT SIGNIFICANTLY FAILED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED IN EXCESS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS, PART OF THE TRANSMISSION, AND MULTIPLE OTHER PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING AT A VERY LOW SPEED, "HAUL GEARS" DISPLAYED ON THE MESSAGE BOARD AS THE VEHICLE SWITCHED INTO A LOW GEAR INDEPENDENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
My truck shakes frequently going down the road at certain speeds. I've had it for around 6 years now and I can't pinpoint exactly when it started. I've had the truck in for maintenance/service at the dealership as well as other auto shops trying to diagnose the problem. I've had new tries, new brakes, countless tire rotations, wheel balancing etc you name it. And the problem persists. Recently after hearing about the "Chevy Shake" I've come to realize that my problems are just like what others have too. Now my powertrain has given out. And my extended warranty has ended. I truly believe that the issues have caused, or are caused by this prevailing issue of a wobbling drive shaft. Every time I have had it in for repairs the issue still persists and I can't always get the time to go back and have it looked at it again. It is a safety issue above all else and I truly believe GM knows about it but does nothing. Even more to the point, I had a "transmission fluid flush" just under a month ago and now all of a sudden my truck doesn't shift like it should. They say it will cost over 5 thousand dollars to get repaired. There is something seriously wrong here. This is an ongoing issue, and again it is difficult to say when it started. But a vehicle going down the highway at speed limit and shaking is a safety concern.

THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I WISH I HAD REALIZED BEFORE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED FOR APPROXIMATELY 7 HOURS. THE DOOR WAS OPENED AND AS WE OPENED THE DOOR THE ENTIRE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED. THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO CHIPS OR CRACKS IN THE REAR GLASS. IT SIMPLY EXPLODED WHEN THE DOOR OPENED. *TR
COMBO 4 PIN AND 7 PIN TRAILER CONNECTION IS UPSIDE DOWN. THIS MAY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF TRAILER LIGHTS AND BRAKES. WITH CONNECTION UPSIDE DOWN THE 7 PIN DOOR WILL NOT HOLD PLUG IN TIGHTLY AND CAUSE THE BRAKE AND GROUND PINS TO POSSIBLE DISCONNECT. LOOSING BRAKES WHILE PULLING A HEAVING LOAD IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. PLUG NEEDS TO BE INVERTED TO ENSURE THE DOOR LATCH HOLDS THE PLUG AT THE HIGH POINT AND WEIGHT OF THE CORD HOLDS THE PLUG IN TIGHTLY DEALER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND GM ENGINEER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE.. NEITHER HAS YET TO FIX. SAME DESIGN EXISTS ON 2013 AND 2014 SILVERADO'S 1500, 2500 AND 3500.
My 2015 Silverado frame has rusted through badly. It's available for inspection. I currently have 74,000 miles on it. My GM dealer said the rust is so bad that I shouldn't pull anything and if I had an accident the frame would fold like an accordion. It is unsafe to drive. If the frame were to break when I'm driving, it could cause an accident with someone else. No one else has inspected it. I purchased it December 2014. I noticed a rust problem soon after. I took it to my GM dealer, and they said there is a bulletin No. P10564K, to fix it. I also attached the service invoice. The fix didn't last a year and I was back at the dealer. They did it again and for several years, until they couldn't because of lack of workers, due to covid. They said they would call when available, but never did. I took it in for service last month and that's when the dealer said I needed a new frame because it had rusted through, and it was rusted bad elsewhere. There is actually a hole rusted through. I've attached photos. The dealer said he has never seen it so bad in my year truck. I contacted GM and they said it was due to road salt and not covered. I've owned around eight GM trucks and cars, and I've never had a problem like this to a frame. There are many complaints about this online. One person said "The Chevy Silverado frame recall was issued due to the frame missing an anti-rust component in the metal that should have been included when the vehicle was made. The frames on them are known to rust excessively and can cause damage to the other components and make the frames weaker." I think GM should be forced to issue a recall on these frames. I can't afford to buy another truck and it's the only vehicle I have. Thank you.
WHEN DRIVING 68MPH OR ABOVE THE WHOLE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE VIBRATES LIKE A WHEEL IS OUT OF BALANCE. I WAS TOLD BY A CHEVY DEALER THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT IS WOBBLING & THAT'S CAUSING THE VIBRATION. AND GM SAYS IT'S NORMAL.
Front seat belts tensioners are not recoiling the seat belts. The seat belt tensioners are not retracting when exiting the vehicle causing lashing buckle to get pinned between the door and door frame. I was told by GM customer service that some vehicles were recalled but my vehicle was not on the list. The problem has always existed which can be proven by door frame dents caused by seat belt tensioners.

I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE INTO NEW ROCHELLE CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 291 MAIN ST, NEW ROCHELLE, NY 10801 (914) 730-9960 TO HAVE THE A/C SERVICED, AND IT WAS DISCOVERED THERE WAS NO FREON. AFTER HAVING THE FREON PUT INTO THE A/C SYSTEM I NOTICED VERY STRONG FUMES COMING INTO THE CABIN. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT BACK INTO NEW ROCHELLE CHEVROLET TWICE TO HAVE THE PROBLEM SOLVED. I HAVE THE APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK TO VALIDATE THE SERVICE. THE 2 SERVICES AT NEW ROCHELLE DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. AFTER SITTING FOR TWO DAYS, I WENT OUT TO START MY 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO TO DRIVE TO TOWN AND IT WAS DEAD - NO POWER, LIGHTS, HORN, IGNITION, NOTHING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABSOLUTELY STONE COLD DEAD. HAVING TWO DECADES IN THE CAR RESTORATION BUSINESS, I GRABBED MY BATTERY CHARGER AND HOOKED IT UP AND CHARGED THE BATTERY FOR 4 HOURS. ATTEMPTING TO START THE SILVERADO AGAIN RESULTED IN THE SAME THING - STONE COLD DEAD. I SWAPPED THE BATTERIES TO NO AVAIL. THE VEHICLE STILL WASN'T POWERING UP. I LOOKED FOR BLOWN FUSES, LOOSE CONNECTORS, ALL WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED TO THE DEALER 106 MILES AWAY. THE NEXT DAY THE DEALER ADVISED IT STARTED RIGHT UP AFTER A JUMP START. MY REPLY WAS THAT IS SIMPLY INCORRECT AND I REPEATED THE STEPS I WENT THROUGH. THEY REPLIED THEY WISHED TO KEEP IT FOR A FEW DAYS. ULTIMATELY I HAD TO TRADE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP STATED THE TRUCK WASN'T DESIGNED TO OPERATE IN A DUSTY ENVIRONMENT. MY REPLY WAS THAT I BOUGHT IT TO USE ON MY RANCH AND THEY KNEW THAT TO BEGIN WITH. THEY ADVISED THE DUST PERMEATED THE BODY CONTROL MODULE, ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, AND HUMAN INTERFACE AND TODAY'S TRUCKS SIMPLY ARE DESIGNED FOR THAT.

Service trailer brake system warning will come up on screen when there’s nothing wrong with it. It is completely random and distracts you from driving with 3 loud chimes and no way to change to volume of the chimes. Most times it will come on 5-10 times in a row and then go away. I’ve tried fixing it like countless others but no success. The chimes are so loud and distracting it causes headaches and frustration

MY TRUCK HAD APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES WHEN I PURCHASED IT IN DEC 2014 AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP PRETTY MUCH EVER SINCE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I FELT A VERY SUBSTANTIAL VIBRATION AROUND 76+ MPH. INITIALLY, 2 TIRES WERE REPLACED AND BALANCED; THAT DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEN THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT GM SAID I HAVE TO PUT 500LBS IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK AND THE VIBRATION WILL STOP; THIS IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY PRACTICAL. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE TIRES HAVE BEEN ROTATED AND FORCE BALANCED SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE PAST 2 YRS. IN JUNE 2016, THE DEALERSHIP STATED THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE TIRES WERE MOUNTED ON THE RIMS INCORRECTLY AND REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES AND BALANCED THEM; THE VIBRATION CONTINUED. AFTER TRYING TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP OVER THE SAME ISSUE, THEY WILL NO LONGER CALL ME BACK. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AT LEAST 8 TIMES WITHIN THE PAST MONTH TO NO AVAIL. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE INDICATED THE PROBLEM IS QUITE POSSIBLY THE DRIVE SHAFT B/C THE ENTIRE TRUCK VIBRATES WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THEREFORE, I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY TOLD ME I NEED TO ROTATE AND BALANCE THE TIRES. AFTER DISCUSSING THE HISTORY OF THE TRUCK WITH THEM AND REQUESTED THE SERVICE DEPT. CHECK THE DRIVE SHAFT, THEY STATED THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID IT IS NOT THE DRIVE SHAFT (WHICH WAS NOT INSPECTED TO MY KNOWLEDGE) AND TOLD ME THE TIRES NEED TO BE FORCED BALANCED AND THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. THIS DEALERSHIP REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP FOR ASSISTANCE. I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THIS ISSUE FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW AND CANNOT GET HELP. FURTHER, NEITHER OF THE DEALERSHIPS HAVE MADE ME AWARE OF THE BULLETIN AND HAVE NOT TRIED ANYTHING PAST THE REPLACING & BALANCING THE TIRES.
