SPEEDOMETER MALFUNCTIONS AT VARIOUS TIMES. ON CARCOMPLAINTS.COM THERE ARE 46 COMPLAINTS OF SPEEDOMETER PROBLEMS WITH THIS MODEL VEHICLE AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT THEM AND NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THE FIX IS. ONE GARAGE TOLD ME THE BATTERY WAS BAD SO REPLACING IT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM, IT DIDN'T. I HAD A SPEED CONTROL SENSOR PUT IN, AND THAT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM EITHER. NO WARNING LIGHTS ARE COMING ON, SO NOBODY KNOWS WHAT ELSE TO DO. I DON'T HAVE ANY MORE MONEY TO PUT IN THIS VEHICLE. THE BATTERY AND THE SPEED CONTROL SENSOR TOGETHER HAVE COST ME OVER $200. *TR
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER SPEEDOMETER AND FUEL GAUGE ARE UNRELIABLE. SPEEDOMETER SOMETIMES SEEMS TO WORK BUT IS NO ACCURATE WHEN IT DOES SHOW A SPEED. FUEL GAUGE MOVES BUT IS USUALLY THE NEEDLE IS NOT EVEN IN THE NORMAL AREA IE. BETWEEN E AND F. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE, BUT GM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. THIS IS A PREVALENT PROBLEM THAT GM SHOULD RESOLVE AT NO COST TO THE OWNERS. *TR
TWO YEARS AGO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. CODE WAS GAS CAP. REPLACED CAP TWICE, NO IMPROVEMENT. MECHANIC THEN FOUND SMALL LEAK IN NECK OF FUEL TANK. RAPID LEAK, WORKED FINE FOR TWO YEARS. NOW, ON DECEMBER 7, 2010, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AGAIN. FOUND THAT FUEL TANK FILLER NECK IS BROKEN AND LEAKING AGAIN. REQUIRED A NEW FUEL TANK INSTALLED AT COST OF $750 +. *TR
I OWN A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND THE SPEEDOMETER HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN TO THE POINT OF BEING COMPLETELY INOPERABLE. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THE SPEEDOMETER READ 120 MPH WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WERE THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 55 MPH AND I WAS DRIVING WITH THE FLOW OF THE TRAFFIC. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND THE SPEEDOMETER STILL READ 50MPH. AS OF A MONTH AGO MY FUEL, OIL, BATTERY, AND TEMP GAUGE ARE ALL INOP; THE NEEDLES NEVER MOVE. WITH THIS MY BATTERY, SEATBELT, ABS, AND PARKING PARK STAY ILLUMINATED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW HOW FAST I'M GOING, HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE, IF MY CAR IS RUNNING HOT, I HAVE NO WARNING INDICATION OF ANYTHING GOING ON WITH MY VEHICLE. *TR
AS I HAVE SEEN FROM OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME GM PRODUCT, WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD MY SPEEDOMETER DOESN'T WORK RIGHT. IS ALWAYS REGISTERING AT A VERY HIGH SPEED, SOMETIMES EVEN PEGGING DOWN WHERE YOUR GEARS ARE LOCATED. COSTS TO REPAIR IS $600-$700 AND 5-7 DAYS OF DOWN TIME AS THE PART MUST BE SENT AWAY AND REPAIRED. LIKE OTHER CONSUMERS I CAN NOT AFFORD THIS COSTLY REPAIR. I WOULD THINK AFTER THE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS GM WOULD REPAIR. PERSONALLY, I'M CONSIDERING FOREIGN NEXT TIME. AT LEAST THEY OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES AND REPAIR AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. *TR
SPEEDOMETER MALFUNCTIONS ON DAILY BASIS. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER IN MY 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE NEEDLE IS POINTING AT 120MPH WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED AND THE NEEDLE CONTINUES CLOCKWISE PAST 120MPH AS I ACCELERATE, THEREFORE I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCURATELY DETERMINE THE SPEED AT WHICH I AM TRAVELING CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD TO MYSELF AND OTHER PERSONS ON THE ROADWAYS. THIS DID OCCUR AS I WAS TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE 30 IN CENTRAL ARKANSAS. I WAS GOING 70MPH AND THE SPEEDOMETER GRADUALLY DROPPED TO 0MPH THEN LATER THE NEEDLE MOVED TO 120MPH. *TR
-DASHBOARD LIGHTS, SPEED-GAS-RPM GAUGES STOPPED WORKING. -I CAN'T TRACK MY SPEED OR SEE MY GAUGES AT NIGHT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENTAL CLUSTERS AND BATTERY CAGE FAILED. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER AND THEY INFORMED HIM THAT HIS WARRANTY WAS NOT VALID FOR THE REPAIR. THERE ARE NO RELATED RECALLS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH HE NOTICED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER AND OIL PRESSURE GAUGES DISPLAYED INACCURATE READINGS. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CENTER RADIO/CD PLAYER CONSOLE OVERHEATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE AND THE CAUSE OF FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000. SPEEDOMETER WILL NOT DISPLAY ACCURATE READING, ADDITIONALLY HEADLIGHTS FLICKER AS IF I AM FLIPPING FROM BRIGHT TO DIM - CAUSING OTHER DRIVERS TO BECOME ANGRY WITH ME - WHEN CHECKED WITH GM THEY SAID IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF MY MODEL BUT THERE WAS NO RECALL. INSTRUMENT PANEL/CLUSTER STOPPED WORKING IN MY 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. AT FIRST THE GAS GAUGE AND TAC STOPPED AND THEN WOULD WORK OCCASIONALLY. NOW THEY DO NOT WORK AT ALL AND NEITHER DOES THE SPEEDOMETER. OVER THE PAST WEEK MY ENTIRE PANEL, ELECTRONICS, RADIO READOUT, DIGITAL READOUT, TEMP READOUT ALL GO BLANK AND THEN IT WILL COME ON SOMETIMES. *TR
THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE SPEEDOMETER, AND RPM NEEDLE ARE OPERATING ERRATICALLY. THEY STARTED CONVEYING INCORRECT INFORMATION. A NEW CLUSTER WAS INSTALLED. IT HAS SINCE BEEN REPLACED, THE CLUSTER WAS SHOWING A BATTERY LIGHT ERROR. *TR

I PURCHASE BRAND NEW 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 3.2L V6 AS OF RIGHT NOW IT ONLY HAS 25,800 ORIGINAL MILS. AND ALL THE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL (OIL PRESSURE, SPEEDOMETER, FUEL, AND TACHOMETER HAS STOP WORKING WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY MY GOD THAT WAS SCARY. ALSO, THIS HAS DRAIN THE BATTERY HAD TO REPLACE IT THE CLUSTER INSTRUMENT PANEL IS BEING REPLACE IT IS COASTING ME $580.00. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE DUE TO THIS CAN CAUSE TRAFFIC ACCIDENT. AS I WAS AT THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AT THE SERVICE CENTER TODAY THERE WAS ANOTHER TRAILBLAZER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL WERE INOPERATIVE. A TECHNICIAN FROM THE DEALER STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT SINCE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, HE WAS INELIGIBLE FOR A FREE REMEDY. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 56,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000.
THE FRONT AIR VENTS IN MY 2004 TRAILBLAZER QUIT WORKING AFTER I INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY. MY FRONT AIR VENTS WILL NO LONGER WORK. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ON THE INTERNET IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. IT WILL REQUIRE THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A NEW CONTROL MODULE TO REGULATE THE AIR FLOW SO THE VENTS WILL WORK. THIS IS A COMPONENT/DESIGN PROBLEM THAT GM NEEDS TO FIX NOT THE CONSUMER. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM. THE CONTACT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE COMPONENT FAILED THREE MONTHS AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THIS TIME. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHENEVER THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAYED INACCURATE INFORMATION REGARDING THE VEHICLES SPEED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 92000.
THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP OR DOWN. MANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THIS CAR! *TR
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT LEAKING GAS & FUMES WHERE FILLER NECK JOINS TANK. HAVE LEARNED ONLINE THAT THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. DEALER AND GM WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP ME PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. I PAID $1350.00 TO HAVE A NEW GAS TANK INSTALLED. THIS MUST BE A DEFECT. I HAD MY VEHICLE CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT IN THE PAST. ONE OCCASION WAS THE FUEL CAP AND ON ANOTHER THEY COULD FIND NO CODE. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED. THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PROBLEM. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY RAN OUT 26 DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. *TR THANK YOU

INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES ON MY 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER HAS STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE NO WAY TO GAUGE SPEED, RPM'S, FUEL, TEMPERATURE, OIL PRESSURE. I HAVE CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP AND HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT BEING RECALLED, NOR ARE THERE ANY NHTSA BULLETINS. I HAVE LEARNED, HOWEVER, THAT LARGER GM VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. I WOULD LIKE TO RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT TRAILBLAZERS BE REPAIRED LIKEWISE. I HAVE SAFETY CONCERNS IN REGARDS OF MY VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING, MY SPEEDOMETER IS READING OFF WRONG NUMBERS. FOR EXAMPLE, I CAN BE DRIVING 60MPH, BUT THE SPEEDOMETER IS READING AT 80MPH. IT IS A REAL CONCERN FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE KNOW IDEA HOW FAST I'M DRIVING. NOW THAT A LOT OF CITIES HAVE PHOTO-ENFORCED CAMERAS TO RECORD HOW FAST YOU ARE DRIVING, I HAVE TO GUESS HOW FAST I'M GOING AND HOPE THAT I DON'T RECEIVE A TICKET IN THE MAIL. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON; HAS COME ON RECURRENTLY SINCE (CODE P0442), WHICH INDICATES LEAK IN FUEL EVAP SYSTEM. ANALYZED BY INDEPENDENT TECH AND POWERS-SWAIN CHEVROLET (A GM DEALER) VERIFIES FUEL TANK INLET CHECK VALVE FRACTURE. GM'S RESOLUTION TO DATE IS REFUSAL TO ACT DUE TO AGE/MILEAGE OF CAR. GM HAS A RECALL FOR SAME DEFECT ON LONG BODY 2002-2004 MODELS. THEIR CAMPAIGN 07099A IS PART OF THEIR RECALL. I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER TRAILBLAZER FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEMS ON INTERNET SITES. THIS DEFECT ALLOWS FUEL VAPOR (POSSIBLY IGNITABLE) TO ESCAPE IN THE VICINITY OF ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS DEFECT, REGARDLESS OF AGE/MILEAGE OF VEHICLES.
INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS RPM AND SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYING INCORRECT METRICS. RPM DISPLAYS ZERO; SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYS INCORRECT SPEED. CHEVY DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS KNOWN ISSUE FOR TAHOE MODEL. SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SAID 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER" IS THE ISSUE BUT YOUR MAKE AND MODEL IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST SO IT WILL COST ABOUT $500. *TR
INSTRUMENTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BEGAN TO FAIL ONE AT A TIME STARTING WITH TACH THEN OIL PRESSURE AND NOW SPEEDOMETER. STARTED A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND HAVE NOT HAD THE MONEY TO FIX. HAVE TO FIX IT NOW THAT SPEEDOMETER DOESN'T WORK. PROBLEMS STARTED AT ABOUT 75,000 MILES NOW AT 92,000 MILES. *TR
SPEEDOMETER ON MY 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT IS DISPLAYING ERRATIC READINGS. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED THE SPEEDOMETER IS SHOWING THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AT 40 MPH. WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH THE SPEEDOMETERS SHOWS THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AT 90 MPH. MULTIPLE POSTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE ONLINE. FAULTY INSTRUMENT CLUSTERS ON THESE VEHICLES. ALSO, BEFORE THE SPEEDOMETER BEGAN SHOWING ERRATIC READINGS TODAY, THE SPEEDOMETER DIDN'T MOVE SMOOTHLY. WHEN ACCELERATING THE SPEEDOMETER MOVED ONE TICK AT A TIME, SIMILAR TO HOW THE SECOND HAND ON A CLOCK MOVES. THE NEXT TIME I GOT IN THE CAR AFTER THIS HAPPENED IS WHEN THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED SHOWING INACCURATE SPEED RATINGS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE YOU CAN NOT TELL HOW FAST THE VEHICLE IS TRAVELING. MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 65,000 MILES. I PURCHASED IT 2.5 YEARS AGO WHEN IT HAD 29,000 MILES AT CARMAX. I HAVEN'T HAD THE VEHICLE REPAIRED YET, BUT ALL POSTS I HAVE READ ONLINE INDICATE THAT THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. *TR
STARTED THE VEHICLE (AT NIGHT), LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. FUSES WERE CHECKED, THEY WERE FINE. *TR
MY INSTRUMENT PANEL ABS, AIRBAG, BATTERY, AND BRAKE LIGHTS ALL CAME ON WITH THE TEMPERATURE, FUEL, BATTER VOLTAGE, AND OIL PRESSURE GAUGES NOT WORKING. AFTER A FEW DAYS MY BATTERY WENT DEAD. REPLACED THE BATTERY THINKING THIS WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM THEN NONE OF GAUGES WORKED AND ALL THE PANEL LIGHTS WERE OFF. NOTHING WAS HAPPENING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. STARTED THE CAR THE NEXT DAY AND HAD ORIGINAL PROBLEM. DEALER CHECKED IT OUT AND RECOMMENDED A NEW INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER MODULE AT ABOUT $475 INSTALLED. VERY BIG SAFETY ISSUE IF YOU CAN'T TELL WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YOUR CAR LIKE GAS LEVEL AND ENGINE TEMPERATURE. *TR

THE SPEEDOMETER QUIT WORKING AND OVER THE NEXT YEAR ALL THE GAUGES HAVE STOPPED WORKING AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE INSTRUMENT PANEL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AS DO ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE. I CONTACTED GM AND HAVE RECEIVED NO HELP. *TR
I OWN A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN OCTOBER 2009 FOR A OIL CHANGE & A EXHAUST LEAK WAS TOLD THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AFTER SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET FOUND OUT IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT GM WHEN MANUFACTURING THE VEHICLE USED BOLTS THAT WERE TO LONG THEREFORE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WASN'T PROPERLY TORQUE/TIGHTENED WHICH MADE THE MANIFOLD VIBRATE UNTIL IT BROKE AND PRIOR TO ITS BREAKING IT LEAKED THE MANIFOLD BECOMES LOOSE AND THAT LEADS TO IT CRACKING. AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE REPAIRED AT THE COST OF $319.50 & HAVING IT BACK FOR A MONTH & DRIVING IT 3 TIMES MY SPEEDOMETER WENT HAYWIRE REGISTERING A SITTING STILL SPEED OF 45 MPH. ONCE AGAIN LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER THEY HAVE ISSUED RECALLS FOR THE CHEVY TRUCKS AND YUKON GMC FOR THE SAME ISSUE BUT NO RECALL SO FAR ABOUT THE TRAILBLAZER. THIS REPAIR WILL COST ME $516.33, BOTH OF THESE REPAIRS ARE DUE TO FAULTY MANUFACTURING & SHOULD BE LISTED AS A RECALL. I JUST HOPE THAT NONE OF THE OTHER ISSUES I HAVE READ ABOUT BECOMES A CONCERN FOR ME. *TR

WHILE GOING HOME FROM WORK YESTERDAY, SOMEONE PULLED UP AND TOLD ME THAT MY REAR LIGHTS WERE OUT. UPON MY HUSBAND INSPECTING THE LIGHTS, HE DISCOVERED THAT THE CONNECTION TO THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS IS OUT. THERE WAS A RECALL DONE IN 2004 BUT GM WILL NOT HONOR IT. *TR
THE FUEL TANK ON MY 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IS LEAKING FUEL DUE TO CORROSION. I HAVE TRIED TO FIX THE PROBLEM MYSELF BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP RECOGNIZES A SERVICE BULLETIN BUT SAYS IT DOESN'T PERTAIN TO MY VEHICLE SINCE IT HASN'T BEEN REGISTERED IN CERTAIN STATES. *TR
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INTERMITTENTLY WORKS. SOMETIMES ONE THING WORKS, SOMETIMES NONE, SOMETIMES ALL. ABS LIGHT FLASHES ON AND OFF CAUSING WARNING BELL TO RING INTERMITTENTLY. OCT 10,2009 58500 MILE ON TRAILBLAZER. DRIVING FROM WORK PASS A POLICE RUNNING 110 MPH. I WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 50 MPH. THEN THE TACH STARTED MESSING UP TOO. STILL ONGOING PROBLEM. CAN GM HAVE A RECALL TO FIX ALL THESE COMPLAINTS. THEY HAVE FIX OTHER MODEL DOING THE SAME THING. *TR
MY DAUGHTER DRIVES A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. SHE WAS DRIVING HOME FROM COLLEGE THE OTHER DAY WHEN THE ENGINE SUDDENLY CUT OFF ON THE HIGHWAY. SHE STILL HAD USE OF THE GAS PEDAL AND STEERING BUT ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS STOPPED. FORTUNATELY, SHE WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, GOING SLOWLY AND WAS ABLE TO ROLL TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES, SHE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DROVE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. SINCE MY HUSBAND AND I DECIDED THAT IT WAS TOO DANGEROUS FOR HER TO DRIVE BACK TO SCHOOL, WE TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE. I MIGHT ADD THAT THERE WAS A RECALL OF THIS VEHICLE IN 2007 (?) THAT INVOLVED "CORROSION IN THE FUEL TANK MODULAR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY." THIS RECALL ITEM WAS REPLACED BY CHEVROLET WHEN WE TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE BUT THE TECHNICIAN SAID IT PROBABLY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE INCIDENT ON 10-9. SO, AFTER "EXTENSIVE ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTICS" AND A FEW TEST DRIVES, CHEVY TECHNICIANS SAID THEY COULD FIND NOTHING FURTHER WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE INCIDENT. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: WE BOUGHT THE CAR FROM CARMAX APPROXIMATELY 1.5 YEARS AGO. I SHOULD ALSO MENTION THAT THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST TWO TIMES PRIOR TO THE OCTOBER 9, 2009 INCIDENT, BUT AT THE TIME, IT JUST SEEMED LIKE A GLITCH. IN THE PAST FEW DAYS, I HAVE BEEN ON THE INTERNET READING ABOUT MANY SIMILAR INCIDENTS (AMONG OTHER TROUBLING FLAWS WITH THIS CAR) WITH THE 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. IN SOME CASES, THE VEHICLES WERE GOING AT HIGH SPEED WHEN THEY SHUT DOWN. 10/04/09, INSTRUMENT PANEL OF 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION. SPEEDOMETER AND ALL GAUGES ARE INACCURATE, CYCLE ON AND OFF, WARNING LIGHTS CYCLE RANDOMLY ON AND OFF CONTINUOUSLY. UNABLE TO IDENTIFY ACCURATE VEHICLE SPEED. CONTACTED GM DEALERSHIP AND GM SAFETY/DEFECT REPORTING ON 10/05/09 - FILED A COMPLAINT. RESEARCHED THAT SIMILAR GM TRUCKS/SUVS HAVE HAD SIMILAR DEFECTS AND SPECIAL COVERAGES OR RECALLS BUT NOT THE TRAILBLAZER. OTHER COMPLAINTS TO NHTSA HAVE ALSO BEEN FILED. I HAVE NOT HAD THE PROBLEM REPAIRED. *TR
2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LEAKING GASOLINE FROM THE FUEL LINE. GASOLINE IS LEAKING OUT OF TANK CONSTANTLY ALL OVER THE GARAGE AND ANYWHERE THE CAR IS DRIVEN. HUGE FIRE OR EXPLOSION HAZARD. SAME PROBLEM AS SPECIAL CODE 07099 AND TSB #05012 WHERE EXTENDED WARRANTY WAS ISSUED ON EXT MODELS ONLY. *TR
