LEFT CAR AT DEALERSHIP FOR RECALLS (SOUTH POINT DODGE DEALERSHIP IN TULSA, OK TO HAD CAR FIXED FOR TRANSMISSION RECALL. ADVISED SERVICE MANAGER THAT I HAD LOOKED UP VEHICLE ON THE INTERNET AND SAW IT HAD 3 MAJOR RECALLS ONE FOR THE TRANSMISSION MODULE AND THE OTHER CONCERNING THE AIRBAGS WHICH I EXPRESSED GREAT CONCERN WITH AND I ASKED HIM TO PLEASE GO AHEAD AND TAKE CARE OF IT NOW SINCE HE ALREADY HAS THE VECICLE THERE. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD FIX ALL THE RECALLS. WE ASSUMED THEY WERE DONE. IT WASN'T UNTIL MY SONS ACCIDENT THAT WE LEARNED THEY DIDNT FIX THE AIRBAGS. ON 12.28.2015 MY SON WAS IN A ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF ICE ON HIGHWAY AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE . HE COULD OF BEEN BADLY INJURED OR EVEN KILLED. LUCKILY HE ONLY HAS A CONCUSSION. I AM ATTACHING A PICTURE FOR YOU TO LOOK AT. ALSO I WAS TOLD BY THE STATE TROOPER THAT THERE IS A VIDEO OF THE ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT HAPPENED RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR TOLL BOOTH WITH CAMERAS. THE OKLAHOMA TURNPIKE AUTHORITIES SHOULD HAVE THE VIDEO. HERE IS A PICTURE THAT THE AUTO BODY TOOK SHOWING THAT THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T NOT DEPLOY. YOU CAN ALSO SEE THAT THE REBAR OF THE CAR'S FRAME IS PUSHED ALL THE WAY UP TO THE MOTOR. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER SO NO ONE ELSE GETS HURT OR KILLED AS IT COULD OF BEEN MY SON THAT DAY.

CAME UP TO A STOP SIGN, DROVE OFF AND WENT TO SHIFT INTO 2ND (STANDARD TRANSMISSION) AND MY SHIFTER WAS LOOSE. GEAR IS STUCK IN FIRST.

WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 75 MPH MY 2013 DODGE DART ACTED UP OUT OF NOWHERE. THE CAR SUDDENLY DECREASED IN SPEED MY ENTIRE DASHBOARD LIT UP, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT STAYED ON. LUCKILY I WAS VERY CLOSE TO AN EXIT AND PUT MY FLASHERS ON AND EXITED TO GET TO SAFETY. THIS CAR HAS BEEN ACTING UP WITH DAY ONE AND CONTINUES TO IMPRESS ME WITH THE # OF REPAIRS DONE. THERE IS ALSO SOMETHING THAT HAS BAFFLED ABOUT 5 MECHANICS AND IS STILL DOING. THE CLUTCH KEEPS ON STICKING AND THE CAR CAN NOT BE PUT INTO GEAR. MANY MECHANICS AND DEALERSHIPS CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX OR WHAT IS WRONG. I WILL NEVER BUY A CHRYSTLER BRAND AGAIN AND DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND.

ARRIVED HOME ON 12/5/2015, WE LIVE ON AN INCLINE SO WE HAVE TO USE THE PARKING BRAKE TO PARK. I NOTICED THAT WHEN I APPLIED THE PARKING BRAKE IT WAS A LITTLE WEAK FEELING. WE DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN UNTIL THE MORNING OF 12/7/2015. WE WERE LEAVING FOR WORK, APPLIED THE BRAKE, PUT IN REVERSE AND RELEASED THE PARKING BRAKE. WHEN I RELEASED IT, IT JUST FELL LIKE THERE WAS NOTHING THERE... LIKE THE PARKING BRAKE WAS JUST A HANDLE NOT ATTACHED TO ANYTHING. SO, I STARTED TO BACK UP AND WITH THE PARKING BRAKE COMPLETELY OFF, THE REAR BRAKES WERE STILL LOCKED UP. I PULLED FORWARD AND BACKWARD TO TRY AND HELP FREE THE BRAKES. APPLIED THE PARKING BRAKE AGAIN AND IT HAD NOTHING THERE. SINCE THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE WE HAVE, WE CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT AND IT EVENTUALLY FREED UP, BUT STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WHEN APPLYING THE REGULAR BRAKES TO STOP, THE REAR END FELT LIKE IT HAD TO MUCH BRAKES. I COULD ALSO LET OFF THE GAS AND FEEL THE CAR COMING TO A STOP LIKE A SLIGHT AMOUNT OF BRAKING WAS BEING APPLIED. I DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO HAVE THE PROBLEM LOOKED AT. THEY TOLD ME THERE WERE NO SAFETY RECALLS ON THE CAR, HOWEVER THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE ISSUES/REPORTS AND RECALLS ABOUT THE BRAKES FOR THIS MODEL.
