I WAS BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPOT AND DEPRESSED THE BRAKES TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE. AS SOON AS I HIT THE BRAKE THERE WAS A POP AND A HISS. THE BRAKE PEDAL THEN BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS AND COULDN'T SAFELY STOP THE CAR UNLESS GOING 10 MPH OR SLOWER. SOUNDS LIKE A COMMON OCCURRENCE AS FAR AS PROBLEMS GO...PROBABLY THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER.

WAS BACKING UP THE CAR AND NEEDED TO SLOW DOWN AND SUDDENLY HAD NO BRAKES. I HAD TO PRESS EXTREMELY HARD ON THEM TO GET THE CAR TO SLOW DOWN AND IT BARELY WORKED. SCARED ME TO DEATH BECAUSE I WAS BACKING UP INTO A BUSY STREET. THE CAR IS AT THE DEALER NOW SO I HAVE NOT BEEN INFORMED ON WHAT THE PROBLEM IS BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS OTHERS

MY CAR WAS PURCHASED 4/2013. AFTER THREE MONTHS A NEW SLAVE CYLINDER WAS INSTALLED AFTER THE COMPUTER READ NO GEARS, SERVICE TRANSMISSION. THIS HAS HAPPENED AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES IN THE TWO YEARS THAT I HAVE HAD THE CAR. EVERY THE I TURN THE CAR OFF AFTER THIS HAPPENS, THE COMPUTER RESETS, SO WHEN IT GETS TO THE DEALER, THE CLAIM THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS WAS HAPPENING INTERMITTENTLY, NOW ITS EVERY DAY. I CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR TO WORK FOR FEAR THAT IT WILL GIVE OUT. THE LAST FEW TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED, THE CAR WOULDN'T START BACK UP. I HAD TO SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE IT WOULD RESTART. THIS IS A HAZARD. THE CAR HAS NO GEARS WHILE I'M ON THE HIGHWAY YRAVELIN AT 80 MPH. THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR ME OR FOR OTHERS ON THE HIGHWAY.

I, SYLVIA, NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON MY DODGE DART 2013 CAR. I PURCHASED THIS CAR ON MY BIRTHDAY OF NOV. 30, 2013 AT CARL GREGORY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE HYUNDL ALBANY, GA. WHEN I GO TO THE SHOP AND CHANGE MY OIL, I WILL ASK THE CLERK IF THERE A RECALL ON MY CAR. THE CLERK'S ANSWER IS NO, AFTER LOOKING ON HER COMPUTER. MY CAR STALL AFTER START-UP AS WELL AS HARD TO START SOMETIME AFTER I PUT THE KEY IN TO START UP MY ENGINE. I AM HAVING PROBLEM WITH MY CAR AND STILL PAYING PAYMENTS. I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE PROBLEMS SO EARLY IN LIFE. FURTHERMORE, I REALLY LIKE MY CAR BUT HAVING THESE PROBLEMS IS GETTING ME TO NOT TRUST MY CAR. PLEASE, LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE FOR ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
PICKED UP KIDS FROM SCHOOL, DROVE TO THE MAIL BOX IN MY COMMUNITY AND TURNED OFF VEHICLE. AFTER STARTED VEHICLE AGAIN, BREAKS WERE VERY STIFF AND WHOOSHING SOUND CAME EVERY TIME I STEPPED ON THE PEDAL. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED TO DRIVE, IT STARTED ROLLING. I HAD TO PUSH THE BREAK PEDAL HARDER TO MAKE THE VEHICLE COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, ALL THE WHILE THE PEDAL WAS VERY STIFF. I DROVE TO WORK THAT MORNING AND MADE IT BACK TO KID'S SCHOOL WITHOUT ANY ISSUES OR SIGNS THAT BREAK SYSTEM MIGHT HAVE PROBLEMS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A DANGEROUS ISSUE AS THERE ARE NO EARLY WARNING SIGNS.
WHILE DRIVING AND ATTEMPTING TO COME TO A STOP BY PRESSING THE BREAK, THE BREAK OUT OF NOWHERE BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO PRESS DOWN AND THE CAR WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP. I WAS COMING OFF THE HIGHWAY APPROACHING A LIGHT. AFTER I WAS ABLE TO PRESS IT DOWN IT LET OFF A HISSING NOISE. I TOOK IT IN AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE BREAK BOOSTER THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NO ONE WAS ABLE TO INFORM ME WHAT CAUSED IT. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE PRIOR TO, NO ACCIDENTS AND I AM CONSISTENT WITH SERVICE. IT IS CLEAR THIS IS A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM AND A RECALL IS IN ORDER. I DO UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT THE FIRST OR ONLY COMPLAINT FOR THE VERY SAME ISSUE. THIS COULD RESULT IN DEATH. ALSO THEIR SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH MY AIRBAG SYSTEM AND TIRE LIGHT AS THEY HAVE BEEN TRIGGERED ON THEIR OWN AND WILL NOT GO OFF.

THE MANUFACTURER COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
PULLED INTO A GAS STATION AND AS I CAME TO A STOP A POPPING NOISE CAME FROM UNDER THE DASH. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME VERY FIRM, AS IF THE ENGINE WERE OFF, AND I CONTINUED TO ROLL FORWARD AND BUMPED THE SIDEWALK. MINOR DAMAGE, JUST SCRATCHES ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BUMPER. I WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE CAR HOME, AND CALLED THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY. AFTER A FEW SEARCHES, IT SEEMED THE BRAKE BOOSTER WAS TO BLAME. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT IF THERE WAS MOTOR OIL IN THE BRAKE BOOSTER, IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT I REPLACE THE BRAKE BOOSTER, VACUUM PUMP, VACUUM LINES, AND MASTER CYLINDER. AT 43,000 MILES. I UNDERSTAND THINGS BREAK. BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE AWARE THERE IS A PROBLEM IF THEY ALREADY KNOW THE OTHER PARTS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH IT. IT ALSO SEEMS A LITTLE EARLY FOR THE BRAKE BOOSTER TO CRAP THE BED.

WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE CAR STARTED STUTTERING AND MAKING A WHOOSHING/WHISTLING SOUND. KEEP LOOSING POWER TO THE CAR. WHEN I WOULD TRY TO SPEED UP, IT WOULD MAKE IT WORSE, AND WOULD MAKE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT START BLINKING. I RAN THE CODE, THAT CAME BACK AS CODE P1ECA. I BELIEVE THIS IS PART OF THE POWER TRAIN RECALL, THOUGH MY CAR IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST, I BELIEVE IT NEEDS TO BE. THIS PROBLEM CAME OUT OF NOWHERE WITH REGULAR MAINTENANCE, AND EVERYTHING I HAVE TRIED TO FIX IT HAS NOT WORKED.

TOOK OWNERSHIP OF CAR AT 6,420 MILES AS THE FIRST OWNER. NOTICED THAT THE FACTORY TIRES HAD "TEST TIRE" STAMPED INTO THE SIDEWALL OF ALL FOUR TIRES. CONTACTED YOKOHAMA CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHO IMMEDIATELY SHIPPED A NEW SET OF REPLACEMENT TIRES IF I GUARANTEED I WOULD SEND THE OLD TIRES BACK. NO ACCIDENT OR INJURIES OCCURRED BUT THE NEW TIRES DROVE MARKEDLY DIFFERENT THAN THE ONES THAT CAME ON THE CAR.
9/03/15 MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT WITHOUT WARNING WHILE GOING APPROX 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. RPM'S SHOT UP AND THE TRANS WENT OUT INSTANTANEOUSLY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER, ENGINE AND TRANS LIGHTS CAME ON, CAR WOULD NOT GO IN ANY GEAR. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART IT, MEANWHILE I SAT LIKE A SITTING DUCK WAITING FOR A TOW TRUCK, HOPING THAT THE SPEEDING CARS AND SEMI TRUCKS APPROACHING WOULD NOT CRASH INTO ME. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A DEALER. DEALER SAID THE CAUSE WAS A FLASHED PCM, IT WAS REPROGRAMMED I WAS TOLD IT FIXED THE PROBLEM. ON 9/05/15 1 HOUR AFTER COMING HOME FROM WORK THE CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN. DEALER WAS CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND SO I LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE, 2 HOURS LATER THE CAR STARTED BUT WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE, AN HOUR LATER, THE CAR HAD REVERSE BUT NO DRIVE.THE NEXT MORNING THE CAR STARTED, ALL LIGHTS WERE OFF AND ALL GEARS WORKED AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER SAID CODES WERE NOW SHOWING IT WAS THE TRANS RANGE SENSOR. GOT THE CAR BACK FOR THE 2ND TIME ON SEPT.16. SEPT.19 I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK IN THE NEXT STATE, THE TRANS WENT OUT AGAIN WHILE GOING 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY AGAIN! THIS TIME I WAS LEFT STRANDED OVER 70 HIGHWAY MILES FROM HOME. AFTER WAITING A FEW HOURS I WAS FINALLY WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME, TAKING TAKE SIDE ROADS IN CASE THE CAR STOPPED AGAIN. WHAT SHOULD'VE BEEN A 1 1/2 HOUR RIDE HOME ON THE INTERSTATE TOOK ME OVER 5 HOURS DRIVING ON SIDE ROADS. THIS CAR IS GOING BACK TO THE DEALER AGAIN FOR THE 3RD TIME IN 2 1/2 WEEKS! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, THERE ARE TOO MANY REPORTS INVOLVING THIS ISSUE ON SEVERAL WEBSITES I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR ANYMORE OR HAVING MY WIFE AND KIDS IN IT. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY! SOMETHING NEEDS TO HAPPEN BEFORE (NOT AFTER) THIS "KNOWN" TRANSMISSION STALLING ISSUE CAUSES A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AND KILLS SOMEONE!

THEY LOOKED IT OVER AND TOLD ME THE BRAKE BOOSTER, PUMP, PUMP LINE AND MASTER CYLINDER ALL NEED TO BE REPLACED IN ORDER FOR THE ISSUE TO BE RESOLVED, RESULTING IN AN ESTIMATED COST OF $1200. AFTER HEARING THE COST OF THIS REPAIR, I WENT ONLINE TO RESEARCH THE ISSUE A LITTLE MORE.
