TRANSFER CASE TRIES TO SHIFT INTO 4LO AT RANDOM (YELLOW 4LO LIGHT ON DASH FLASHES & CAN FEEL IT TRYING TO SWITCH) & IT ALSO TRIES ENGAGING WHEN THE KEY ISN'T IN THE IGNITION. I'VE READ THAT IF IT ENGAGES IN 4LO AT A HIGH SPEED IT COULD DO MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE POWER TRAIN & POSSIBLY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. I'VE SEARCHED IN GOOGLE & IT APPEARS THAT THERE ARE QUITE A FEW PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM. I'VE HAD THE POWER CONNECTOR TO THE "TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE" DISCONNECTED SINCE SEPTEMBER 2012 SO I CAN DRIVE BUT I'M UNABLE TO SWITCH TO 4LOCK OR 4LO IF NEEDED (SVC 4WD LIGHT STAYS ON). *TR
I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL TANK WHEN I AM FILLING UP THE TRUCK, WHEN FUELING, THE PUMP HANDLE WILL CLICK OFF AND THEN FUEL WILL SHOOT OUT OF THE FUEL TANK ALL OVER THE PLACE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE EVER BEFORE AND IT IS QUITE ALARMING WHEN YOU GAS UP AND END UP COVERED IN GASOLINE NOT TO MENTION THE FACT I AM SPILLING GASOLINE ALL OVER AT THE PUMP, I FEEL THIS IS A LIABILITY BECAUSE OF FUEL SPILLS AND THE FACT IT COULD POTENTIALLY START A FIRE. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL RECALLS ON THIS ISSUE AND ALSO SEVERAL REVIEWS AS TO CHRYSLER/DODGE NOT HELPING TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM, THIS IS WHY I WAS TOLD TO START HERE WITH A FORMAL COMPLAINT. *TR
WHEN FILLING FUEL TANK, GAS SPEWS OUT OF FILLER TUBE POSING FIRE RISK, DAMAGING CLOTHING, AND ADDING VOC'S TO ATMOSPHERE. MANY COMPLAINTS OF SAME THING AND EVEN RECALLS ON VARIOUS MODEL YEARS. MAKES VERY LITTLE SENSE WHY DODGE OR NTSB DOESN'T CONNECT THE DOTS AND CORRECT THIS PROBLEM IN A COMPREHENSIVE FASHION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT ACTIVATED THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT WARMER AND NOTICED THAT THE SEAT WAS HOTTER THAN NORMAL. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC STATED THAT THE SEAT WAS REUPHOLSTERED, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE DEALER WOULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FUEL WAS SPILLING OUT OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE FILLER NECK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SHUT OFF VALVE WAS DEFECTIVE AND WOULD NOT STOP WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS FILLED TO CAPACITY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. WHEN I FILL MY GAS TANK TO FULL OR CLOSE TO FULL, THE GAS LEAKS OR SPRAYS BACK AROUND THE FUEL DOOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REFUELING THE VEHICLE, GASOLINE SPRAYED FROM THE FILL RESERVOIR. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S DESTINATION AND WAS LATER TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT A VALVE INSIDE THE FUEL TANK FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 69,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE USED AS IS, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY FILL THE TANK. AS THE TANK BECAME FULL THE PUMP HANDLE CLICKED AND FUEL BEGAN TO OVERFILL OUT OF THE SPOUT. FUEL SPRAYED ALONG THE SIDE OF THE DURANGO AND ON TO MY CLOTHES AND SHOES. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE DANGERS THAT ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS SPILLING. AFTER DOING MUCH RESEARCH I HAVE CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IT IS THE CHECK VALVE INSIDE MY GAS TANK. I CANNOT AFFORD TO REPLACE THE TANK AND FEEL IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DODGE TO PAY FOR THIS. THEY HAVE TOLD ME I AM NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL BUT I FEEL THIS IS UNFAIR. *TR
GASOLINE WAS EJECTED FROM MY FILL TUBE AT THE GAS STATION. AFTER FILLING THE TANK THE GAS NOZZLE CLICKED TO STOP AND FUEL SHOT OUT OF THE FILLER TUBE COVERING ME AND MY CAR IN GASOLINE. THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME THE CAR IS FILLED. *TR I UNDERSTAND CHRYSLER/DODGE HAS RECOGNIZED THIS PROBLEM IN MANY VEHICLES BUT FOR SOME REASON MY VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED.
WHEN FILLING THE TANK WITH GASOLINE, THE PUMP HANDLE WILL SHUT DOWN BUT GAS SPEWS FROM THE FILLER OPENING ON THE VEHICLE. THERE IS AN EXISTING RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM ISSUED IN 2009; HOWEVER, MY PARTICULAR VIN IS NOT COVERED UNDER THAT RECALL EVEN THOUGH I AM HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. PERHAPS A FIRE CAUSING INJURIES IS NECESSARY TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM COVERED BY CHRYSLER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT FUNCTIONED PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TPS CENSOR AND THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 168,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, FUEL WOULD SPEW BACK OUT OF THE FILLED NECK ONTO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED ON ANY RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 78,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 79,000.
THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD WITH NO KNOWLEDGE OF IT GOING TO OCCUR. IT GETS A 5V REFERENCE LIGHT AND HAS TO BE PUT INTO NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED OR IF YOU ABLE TO PULL OVER TO SHUT IT OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED 100 PLUS TIMES SINCE AUGUST 2012, SEVERAL TIMES ALMOST GETTING REAR ENDED. I HAVE HAD IT AT DODGE SO MANY TIMES AND HAVE PUT THOUSANDS INTO IT AND STILL NOTHING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN REFUELING THE VEHICLE, FUEL WOULD OVERFLOW ABNORMALLY WITH PRESSURE, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO BECOME SATURATED WITH GASOLINE. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V003000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY). THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 77,948. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.
FUEL OVERFLOWS OUT OF VEHICLE WHEN TRYING TO FILL TANK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER IT WOULD RAIN OR SNOW, WATER WOULD ENTER THE STEERING COLUMN AND CAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL TO SEIZE SPORADICALLY. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REGAIN STEERING CONTROL AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES. IN ADDITION, THE FAILURE WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE WOULD ALSO OCCUR WHEN THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING IN REVERSE HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WOULD INDEPENDENTLY RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SEVERAL MECHANICS BUT NONE WERE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK, GAS SHOOTS BACK OUT WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. THIS HAPPENS EACH TIME I REFUEL. *TR
LARGE AMOUNT OF FUEL SPITS OUT OF FUEL INLET TUBE AT THE END OF REFUELING. EXISTING RECALL THAT ADDRESS THIS ISSUE DOES NOT COVER ENOUGH VINS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE FUEL CAP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ALSO ADVISED THAT THE FUEL CAP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
THE BOLTS USED ON THE MANIFOLD ARE DEFECTIVE AND BREAK OFF INTO THE HEAD OF THE ENGINE CAUSING DAMAGE. DUE TO THIS, THE MANIFOLD IS NOT TIGHT AND SECURE AND CAUSES EXHAUST FUMES TO BE RELEASED. *TR
I ASKED THE GAS ATTENDANT TO FILL UP THE TANK. AFTER ABOUT HALF A MINUTE OR SO, GAS SPRAYED OUT OF THE TANK. I WOULD ESTIMATE HALF A GALLON OF GAS OR SO WAS SPRAYED OUT ONTO THE CAR AND GROUND. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE GAS PUMP NOZZLE. DID FILL UPS AT THREE DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS AND SAME RESULT. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MECHANIC SAID THAT ONLY THE 4.7S ARE BEING RECALLED NOT THE 5.7S FOR THE GAS TANK'S RETURN VALVE MALFUNCTION WHICH CAUSES THE SPRAY. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 DURANGO AND LATELY IT HAS BEEN DYING WITH NO TYPE OF ANY WARNING. IT USUALLY WILL HAPPEN IF I AM TURNING A CORNER, COMING TO A STOP AND THEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE, OR GOING THROUGH PARKING LOTS. SATURDAY I HAD A CAR FULL OF KIDS LEAVING A BASEBALL GAME AND I STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN TO CROSS A BUSY HWY IN MY HOMETOWN AND WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE TO GO ACROSS THE INTERSECTION OF THE HWY MY DURANGO DIED RIGHT THERE WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC HEADED TOWARD US...I COULDN'T STEER AND HAD TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HWY WITH THE KIDS IN MY CAR AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND FRANTICALLY TRY TO START THE CAR HOPING THIS WOULD HELP (WHICH THANKFULLY IT DID THIS TIME). THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE AND EACH TIME IS GETTING MORE AND MORE SCARIER. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR FEAR ONE OF THESE TIMES MY FAMILY AND I WON'T BE SO LUCKY AND WILL END UP BEING KILLED DUE TO THE DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE. I HAVE REVIEWED MANY FORUMS ONLINE AND SEE MANY COMPLAINTS IN THE FORUMS WHERE THIS HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO DODGE'S ATTENTION AND EVEN COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE WITH NOTHING DONE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED BECAUSE OF THE STALLING OF THE VEHICLE. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE CONSUMERS AND HELP RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THANK YOU. *TR

FUEL OVERFLOWS WHEN YOU FILL THE TANK UP. GAS KICKS BACK SMELL GAS FUMES WHILE PARKED SOME TIMES. DEALER SAYS ITS NOT COVERED. BUT THERE IS A RECALL FOR FUEL TANK CHECK VALVE. VEHICLE WAS ALREADY CORRECTED ONCE FOR SAME ISSUE. PROBLEM REOCCURRED. *JS
WHEN I'M DRIVING IN TRAFFIC (APPROX 30-45 MPH) OR STOPPED AT A LIGHT, MY VEHICLE RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF. THERE'S NO INDICATION THIS WILL HAPPEN. NO LIGHTS FLASH OR ANYTHING. THE TRUCK SIMPLY STOPS. I TAKE IT TO MECHANICS AND THEY SAY THEY CAN'T IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM--BUT THEY RECOGNIZE THERE'S A PROBLEM. I'M FEARFUL FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY IN THE VEHICLE AND/OR ANYONE WE ENCOUNTER WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT'S NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE OUT OF TRAFFIC, AND THE STEERING LOCKS UP AS WELL. I'VE HAD THE COOLING SYSTEM FLUSHED, TRANSMISSION REPLACED TO NO AVAIL. IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS THING?! THERE SURE SHOULD BE! I'M SURE SOMEONE HAS DIED BY NOW DUE TO THIS MALFUNCTION. *TR
I STOPPED AT THE GAS STATION TO PUT GAS IN MY 2005 DURANGO. WHEN IT WAS FULL THE GAS SPRAYED OUT ALL OVER MY LEG AND BOOTS. WHEN I LOOKED FOR A RECALL THERE WAS ONE BUT NOT FOR MY VIN. BECAUSE OF THIS MY FINDER IS RUSTING OUT AND EVER DURANGO I SEE THE SAME MAKE AS MINE HAS THE SAME RUST SPOT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT ISN'T PART OF THE RECALL. THE GAS OVERFLOW AND THE RUST SPOT.
I AM THE OWNER OF A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. WE ARE HAVING AN ISSUE WERE THE FUEL WILL NOT SHUT OFF AT THE PUMP. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THAT YEAR, BUT SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH OUR VIN # DOES NOT FALL UNDER THE RECALL. WE HAD THE FUEL TANK REPLACED IN JANUARY OF 2008 UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE SAME ISSUE. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE TANKS AND THEIR MANUFACTURING PROCESS. CONCERN IS THE TANK WAS REPLACED WITH A DEFECTIVE TANK THAT WAS MANUFACTURED DURING THE RECALL TIME FRAME, BUT CONCERNED IS NOT BEING ADDRESSED BECAUSE THE VIN # DOES NOT FALL WITH IN A CERTAIN MANUFACTURING DATE. I AM GREATLY CONCERNED DUE TO THE RECALL STATING THAT THE ISSUE CAN CAUSE FIRE. WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR DODGE TO RECOGNIZE THE ISSUE. *TR
WHEN I AM FILLING UP MY GAS TANK AT A GAS STATION, THE PUMP WILL KICK OFF WHEN FULL AND A FEW SECONDS AFTER YOU CAN HEAR FUEL RUSHING UP THE TUBE AND THEN SPRAYS OUT ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE CAR AND ON THE GROUND. THE SIDE OF MY VEHICLE IS STARTING TO RUST BECAUSE OF THIS AND I HAVE BEEN HELD RESPONSIBLE TO FUEL CLEANUP AT A FEW GAS STATIONS. ITS MY UNDERSTANDING THERE WAS A RECALL ISSUED ON SOME VEHICLES BUT SINCE I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER, I AM NOT SURE IF THIS WAS TAKEN CARE OF. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFT SOLENOID WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 110,000.
MULTIPLE OCCASSIONS DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS - WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK AND REMOVING NOZZLE THE GAS SPILLS OUT IN PRETTY LARGE VOLUME. HAPPENED ON LAST 4 OCCASIONS. OTHER DURANGO'S SAME MODEL YEAR ARE SEEING THE SAME THING. NOT SAFE. *TR
FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED AT A LOW SPEED COMING INTO A TURN. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND FOUND THAT MOST DURANGO OWNERS HAD LUCK WITH FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING AND/OR EGR VALVE REPLACEMENTS. I DID BOTH, AND THE VEHICLE RAN FINE UP UNTIL TODAY (2 MONTHS LATER). THERE WERE PREVIOUS "INVESTIGATIONS" FOR RECALL SERVICES A FEW YEARS BACK, BUT THEY WERE CLOSED OUT. I HOPE DODGE DECIDES TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION AGAIN.. I DO NOT WANT TO BE PAYING $200 EVERY 2 MONTHS FOR FUEL CLEANING SERVICES. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. *TR

THERE WAS A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 05V034000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLER PIPE AND CAP); HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REFUELING, THE FUEL TANK FILLER TUBE INLET CHECK VALVE DID NOT FULLY CLOSE, ALLOWING FUEL TO ESCAPE FROM THE VEHICLE. I WAS AT A STOP SIGN AND BEGAN TO MAKE A LEFT TURN WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING TOO FAR INTO THE INTERSECTION AS A VEHICLE PAST FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED FROM A CERTIFIED CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. BEFORE FINALIZING PURCHASE, THE DEALERSHIP FILLED THE GAS TANK FOR US. THE SALES MANAGER NOTED THAT HE NEEDED TO CLEAN UP THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE--THAT THE GAS PUMP HAD OVERFLOWED. 2 DAYS LATER WHEN I WENT TO FILL UP THE TANK, I HAD THE SAME ISSUE--THE GAS TANK OVERFLOWED. I HAVE LOOKED THIS ISSUE UP ONLINE AND IT SEEMS THERE WAS A RECALL FOR ONLY A SELECT SET OF VIN NUMBERS. ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER, MY VEHICLE WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. CLEARLY, MY VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED. IT APPEARS THE FIX TO THIS ISSUE IS TO REPLACE THE GAS TANK. ALSO, IT IS NOW CLEAR TO ME THAT THE 2 SMALL RUST BUBBLES NEAR THE GAS TANK ARE BEING CAUSED BY GAS OVERFLOWING EVERY TIME SOMEBODY FILLS UP THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE FIXED BY THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION. *JS

THIS VEHICLE OCCASIONALLY STALLS, LEAVING NO POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES. THIS WAS NOT A SINGLE INCIDENT; THIS HAS HAPPENED PROBABLY 50 TIMES OVER THE PAST 4 YEARS. IT HAS HAPPENED AT MULTIPLE VEHICLE SPEEDS, AND HAS HAPPENED IN BOTH FORWARD ("DRIVE") AND REVERSE GEARS. THE VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY RESTARTED, AND IT DRIVES NORMALLY AFTER RESTARTING. THERE IS NO WARNING OR INDICATION THAT THE ENGINE IS ABOUT TO STALL, AND NO CHECK ENGINE (OR OTHER) LIGHT COMES ON BEFORE OR AFTER THE INCIDENT. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED AFTER DROPPING MY SON OFF AT HIS SCHOOL. WHILE DRIVING THROUGH THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT TO LEAVE, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND I WASN'T ABLE TO CONTROL IT (VERY HIGH STEERING EFFORT, DIFFICULT TO STOP). I ALMOST HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. I ALSO REALIZED THE SEVERITY OF THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN A CHILD INSTEAD OF ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH I NEARLY STRUCK. A QUICK WEB SEARCH PRODUCED RESULTS SHOWING OTHER DRIVERS OF DODGE DURANGOS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME STALLING PHENOMENON, SO I'M CONFIDENT THAT THIS IS A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN OR MANUFACTURING OF THE VEHICLE, AND NOT JUST A SINGLE CASE OF MY VEHICLE BEING BAD.
