EVERYTIME I FILL THE TANK UP IT SPITS FUEL BACK OUT AT ME.
TAKATA RECALL I ALMOST GOT INTO A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT YESTERDAY WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR ( MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT). ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT WAS THE AIRBAG GOING OFF AND KILLING MY CHILD DUE TO METAL FRAGMENTS DEPLOYING FROM THE AIRBAG. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THESE KIND OF THINGS. WE HAVE ENOUGH TO WORRY ABOUT IN THE ROAD WITH CRAZY DRIVERS AS IT IS. IT SEEMS LIKE THE PARTS ARE NEVER GOING TO COME IN TO FIX OUR AIR BAGS. I WANT A CAR I CAN DRIVE SAFELY WITH MY FAMILY UNTIL MY AIRBAG GETS FIXED. I THINK IT IS TAKATAS DUTY TO EVERYONE TO MAKE THEM FEEL SAFE.

FUEL TANK OVERFLOWS WHEN BEING FILLED- DOESN'T AUTO STOP THE PUMP LIKE IT SHOULD. THIS HAPPENS WHENEVER THE CAR'S GAS TANK IS FILLED UNLESS THE AMOUNT OF GAS NEEDED IS ESTIMATED LOWER AND THE PUMP IS STOPPED MANUALLY.
THE VEHICLE IS SWITHING INTO 4WHEEL DRIVE ON ITS OWN AND SVC 4X4 FLASHES ON DASH. ALSO WHEN KEY OFF AND/ OR AFTER UNLOCKING DOORS WIT KEY FAB I CAN HEAR IT SWICHING IN AND OUT OF 4X4. I HAVE READ FORUMS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THERE SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE. SHAME ON DODGE BIGTIME!!
TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF, AFTER TIRES HAVE BEEN AIRED AND CHECKED BY TIRE PLACE.
THE VEHICLE STARTS FINE AND TYPICALLY RUNS FINE, BUT STALLS OUT RANDOMLY. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO, AND HAPPENS ABOUT 3 TIMES A WEEK NOW. SOMETIMES IT STALLS ON THE FREEWAY AT 60 MPH AND YOU LOSE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES, BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT HAPPENS WHEN DECELERATING TO TURN A CORNER, WHICH IS REALLY FRUSTRATING AS YOU LOSE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES AND HAS CAUSED ME TO GO OFF THE ROAD OR HIT CURBS IF I CAN'T MUSCLE THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE TURN. LUCKILY I HAVEN'T BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS YET, BUT IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT ON, AND THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH THE DASH LIGHTS AND GAUGES. THE DODGE DEALER SAYS THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY ISSUES, BUT ONLINE FORUMS SHOW HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. *TR
SEVERAL INCIDENTS OF UNCOMMANDED ENGAGEMENT OF THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE FROM THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE MODE. NO INDICATION AT THE DASH OR AT THE SWITCH LOCATED ON THE DASH. THIS HAS OCCURRED WHILE IN MOTION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED AND TURNED OFF (THE SOUND OF THE TRANSFER CASE SERVO MOTOR OPERATING IS QUITE OBVIOUS). THIS PRESENTS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION SINCE ENGAGEMENT OF THE 4WD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, PARTICULARLY WHEN THE ROAD SURFACE IS SLIPPERY, COULD EASILY RESULTS IN LOSE OF CONTROL.
SEAT BELT IS LOCKED BUT LIGHT COMES ON AS IF IT WAS NOT ON. I HAVE TO UNDO, AND REAPPLY FOR LIGHT TO GO OFF. RADIO WILL NOT WORK AT TIMES. RADIO REPAIR GUY SAID I NEEDED A NEW AMPLIFIER. ONE DAY IT JUST STARTS PLAYING, BUT WHEN I STOPPED TO GET GAS, THE CAR WOULD NOT START. AFTER BATTERY WAS REPLACED, THE CARGO LAMP STAYS ON IF I OPEN MY REAR HATCH. WILL ONLY GO OFF IF I CLOSED IT TWICE.

I HAVE A 2005 DODGE DURANGO WITH THE 5.7 HEMI ENGINE.. IT HAS 80,000 MILES AND JUST RECENTLY THE ENGINE STARTED SHUTTING OFF AT RANDOM TIMES WHEN DRIVING, MOSTLY WHEN I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD.. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS WITH THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY SAFETY BOARD WEBSITE AND SEE THERE IS A HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FROM FEBURARY 2005 THRU PRESENT .. THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION OPENED IN 2005 PE05-027 THEN IT WAS TRANSFERRED TO AN ENGINEERING ANALYSIS ( EA05-018) AND THEN NOTHING.. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE NHTSA DROPPED THE BALL ON THIS?? THERE IS NO FURTHER ANSWERS TO THE COMPLAINT.. PLEASE ADVISE ME WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET A N ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM, WHICH IS A MANUFACTURES ERROR THAT IS GOING TO GET ME KILLED OR SOMEONE ELSE.
4 WHEEL DRIVE ENGAGES BY ITSELF. VEHICLE CAN BE RUNNING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, IDLING, OR COMPLETELY OFF AND THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WILL SHIFT FROM AWD TO LOCKED TO LOW.

WHEN FUELING VEHICLE THE FUEL WILL UNPREDICTABLE OVERFLOW AND CAUSE GASOLINE TO POUR ON VEHICLE AND UNTO THE GROUND. ENOUGH FUELS OVERFLOWS TO CAUSE PUDDLES OF GASOLINE TO FORM ON THE GROUND. IF YOU ARE STANDING CLOSE TO INTAKE IT WILL SPRAY FUEL ON PERSON OPERATING THE PUMB. THE PROBLEM IS CAUSING RUSTING ON VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE VOLUNTARILY WENT INTO FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, IT BECAME HARDER TO STEER, TURN, AND DRIVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
CAR STALLS AT STOP LIGHT. NO REASON. CAR STARTED SHIFTING INTO ALL WHEEL DRIVE BY ITSELF. I COULD HEAR IT SHIFTING AS I OPENED DRIVER DOOR, AND CAR WAS NOT ON. DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE NOISE WAS. CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GRINDING THE GEARS WHEN MOVED INTO DRIVE. TOWED TO SHOP. TRANSMISSION GUY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY IT CHANGED ALL BY ITSELF. CARGO LAMP IS ONE IF I OPEN REAR HATCH. IT WILL ONLY GO OFF IF I CLOSE THE HATCH TWICE. NOW AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON, SINCE NEW BATTERY WAS REPLACED.
THIS VEHICLE ROUTINELY STALLS AND SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVE, DECELARATION, COASTING, AND ALSO WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP. I HAVE ALREADY HAD ONE ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.
WHEN IN MOTION, VEHICLE'S RPM WILL DROP TO 0 (RANDOMLY, NO WAY TO TELL WHEN COMING), ALONG WITH A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND VARIOUS ELECTRONICS WITHIN THE VEHICLE. PROBLEM IS USUALLY FIXED BY RESTARTING VEHICLE, BUT IT HAS BEEN VERY DANGEROUS - ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY. HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 5 TIMES DURING MY OWNERSHIP OF THE VEHICLE (4 YEARS)

THE CAR STALLS ALOT WHENEVER YOU'RE AT A LIGHT OR GOING SLOW SPEEDS. WILL TURN OFF AND NEEDS TO BE TURNED ON. THE IGNITION LOCKS AND THE KEY WONT TURN WHEN TRYING TO TURN THE CAR ON. THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY BLINKING WHEN THE DRIVER SEAT BELT IS NOT ON. WHEN THE SEATBELT IS ON, THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS PERMANENTLY ON. THIS MORNING THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE AREA MAKE A LOUD CLUNK WHEN I TURNED LEFT. SHORTLY AFTER AS I WAS GOING ABOUT 35 MPH IT FELT AS IF I HAD A FLAT TIRE SO I PULLED OVER. TURNS OUT THE ENTIRE BALL JOINT HAD BROKEN AND THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE HAD FALLEN TO THE SIDE.
TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED NOTICE OF RECALL JULY 21, 2016. STILL "REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE" AS OF FEB. 23, 2017. COULD HAVE KILLED A PASSENGER BY NOW.

IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT AND OIL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN REFUSED TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.
MY DODGE DURANGO IS FILLED WITH GAS IT WILL OVERFLOW. THE GAS PUMP KICKS OFF AND THEN GAS COMES SPRAYING BACK OUT AND SPILLS GAS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE CAR. IT WILL CONTINUE PUSHING GAS OUT FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO A MINUTE. I'M AFRAID TO FILL THE TANK TO CAPACITY DUE TO THE FIRE DANGER OR EXPLOSION.
GAS COMES SPEWING OUT OF THE TANK WHEN I'M FILLING UP AT THE GAS STATION. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WITH I'M TRYING TO "FILL" THE TANK, AT THE END OF THE FILLING WHEN THE PUMP SHOULD STOP DUE TO THE TANK BEING FULL. IT DOES NOT SPEW OUT IF I'M JUST PUTTING "SOME" GAS IN THE TANK. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL GAS STATIONS SO IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE AND NOT THE PUMP. I'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND JUST FOUND INFORMATION ON THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 09V003000 REPORT RECEIPT DATE 01/08/2009. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE I'M HAVING HOWEVER I WAS TOLD, TODAY, THAT MY VIN # IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE 2005 DODGE DURANGO VEHICLES LISTED IN THE RECALL. SAFETY RECALL NUMBER H45 - FUEL TANK INLET CHECK VALVE. HOW DO I GO ABOUT POSSIBLY GETTING MY VEHICLE ADDED TO THE RECALL LIST FOR THIS ISSUE? THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE I'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE. I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW IN SEPTEMBER OF EITHER 2004 OR 2005.

WHEN I UNLOCK THE DOORS WITH THE REMOTE OR OPEN UNLOCKED DOORS, THE SHIFT MOTOR ACTIVATES, I CAN HEAR IT ENGAGING AND DISENGAGING. THERE IS A DELAY UPON STARTING MY TRUCK BEFORE THE DRIVE GEAR KICK IN AND I CAN PROCEED TO DRIVE VEHICLE. WHEN I MAKE A SHARP TURN GOING FORWARD OR BACKING...THE REAR TIRES LOCK UP. THE AWD LIGHTS FLICKERS ON/OFF. CONSTANT SMELL LIKE SOMETHING IS BURNING.

WE TOOK THE TRUCK IN FOR THE RECALL . MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE DEALERSHIP REFUSE TO RESET IT WITHOUT CHARGING ME TO RESET IT.

MY MOTHERS 2005 DURANGO FLIPPED 7 TIMES IN CHAMPAIGN CO. OHIO. IT KILLED HER. THE DURANGO FOLDED IN LIKE A POP CAN. AND HER SEAT BELTS FAILED. SHE ALWAYS WORE THEM. HOWEVER THE REPORT SAID SHE DID NOT HAVE THEM ON. I KNOW SHE DID THE MARK ACROSS HER BODY AT THE CORNERS SHOWED IT WAS ON! AND NOT 1 AIR BAG DEPLOYED NOT 1. SHE LOST CONTROLL OF THE VEHICLE AND IT BEGAN FLIPPING 7 TIMES. HATE DURANGOS THERE NOT SAFE AND IT IS THE REASON MY MOM DIDNT STAND A CHANCE AT LIVING THREW THE ACCIDENT. EGR VALVE AND EVAP
I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN BELTLINE LINE ROAD AND MY FOOT SLIPPED OFF THE BREAK AND ONTO THE GAS. I T BONED ANOTHER CAR IN WHICH MY AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. I TOTALED MY CAR AND THE OTHER CAR. I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL WITH A SEVERE CONCUSSION AND BACK PAIN.
WHEN STOPPING OR TURNING AT SLOWER SPEEDS MY CAR DIES ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS HAS PUT ME IN SITUATIONS WHERE I HAVE ALMOST WRECKED , AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER A FEW TIMES AND THEN TELLING ME NOTHING IS WRONG I FIND OUT THAT THIS HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED ON 2 OCCASIONS BUT NO RECALL !!!!! MY 05 DODGE DURANGO, WHICH I AM THE ONLY OWNER OF, OVERFLOWS GAS WHILE FILLING UP THE TANK. I WAS TOLD IT IS A RECALL, I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO FIX IT, I WAS TREATED WITH ABSOLUTE DISRESPECT AND WAS TOLD MY CAR WAS ALREADY FIXED THROUGH THE WARRANTY, I ASSURED THEM I WAS THE ONLY OWNER AND IT WAS NEVER FIXED, THEY AGAIN TOLD ME IT WAS AND THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT TO GET FIXED AGAIN EVEN IF IT IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT THE RECALL WAS FOR. I HAVE HAD THE GAS OVERFLOW AND SPRAY ALL OVER ME MULTIPLE TIMES, INCLUDING ONE TIME WHILE I WAS HOLDING MY INFANT CHILD. THIS IS NOT OK AND SO BEYOND UNSAFE!!! IT CLEARLY WASN'T FIXED AND I WOULD LIKE IT FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT! THE VEHICLE WAS OFF AND PARKED. I ALSO KNOW MULTIPLE PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME MODEL AND THEIRS DO THE SAME THING AND ALL HAVE RUST EATING THROUGH THEIR VEHICLES ON THE PANEL UNDER THEIR GAS TANKS, WAS FIXING THAT ALSO IN THE RECALL SINCE IT IS CLEARLY DUE TO THE GAS OVERFLOWING?

I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN MAY 9, 2016 TO REPLACE THE DRIVER AIRBAG RECALL AND THIS DEALER SAID THAT THEY INSPECTED THE FUEL TANK NHTSA #05V-034 AND NEVER MENTIONED THAT THEY DID THIS UPON MY VISIT FOR THE AIRBAG. THEN I PRINTED OUT THE REPORT ON RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2016 AND FREMONT DODGE DEALERSHIP DOCUMENTED THAT IT WAS COMPLETED AND INSPECTED ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2016, WHICH I NEVER VISITED THE DEALRSHIP ON THAT DAY. I PRINTED OUT MY CARFAX HISTORY WITH NO ACTUAL PROVE THAT IT HAS EVER BEEN FIXED.. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED IN LATTER PART OF 2014 AND BEEN HAVING SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL LEAKAGE WHEN FILLING GAS. PLEASE ADVISE ME OF WHAT TO DO NEXT. THANK YOU.
WHILE DRIVING, TURNING, PARKED, VEHICLE ON OR OFF, THE 4WD SELECTOR WILL SWITCH BETWEEN AWD, 4LOCK AND 4LO. THE SVC4WD LIGHT SOMETIMES BLINKS AFTER START UP, SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING.
