THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CHENOWETH FORD INC (LOCATED AT 1564 E PIKE ST, CLARKSBURG, WV 26301, (800) 344-1108) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TITUS-WILL FORD (3606 S SPRAGUE AVE, TACOMA, WA 98409, (253) 475-4151) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPAIRS WOULD COST $1,500. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE REPAIRS WERE DIFFERENT THAN WHAT WAS LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED; HOWEVER, THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAD TO BE APPLIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, THE GEAR BECAME STUCK AND WOULD NOT MOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
TRANSMISSION HAS DELAYED GEAR SHIFTING, GEAR SLIPPING AND THE ENGINE REVS WITHOUT THE CAR ACCELERATING. TO PUT IT SIMPLY THE TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED. TWICE!
IF I HIT A LARGE BUMP OR GOING DOWN A ROUGH ROAD IF YOU GO TO HIT THE BRAKES IT'S LIKE THEY AREN'T THERE AND THE BRAKE PEDEL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH A LITTLE BRAKE AT THE FLOOR , YOU HAVE TO STOP AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND PUMP THE BRAKES A FEW TIMES AND THEN THEY ARE OK , IT ALSO HAPPENS WHEN THE ABS WORKS , I THINK THE PROBLEM IS IN THE ABS VALVE ASSEMBLEY THEY RECALLED THE 2008 TO 2011'S FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT NOT THE 2012'S
POWER STEERING FAILURE. POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING. SHUTTING OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTING IT SEEMS TO FIX IT. IT'S HAPPENED AT LEAST 10 TIMES TO MY VEHICLE IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS. A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR MY YEAR/MODEL FOR THIS ISSUE BUT FORD SAYS MY CAR ISNT COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS MADE 1 MONTH AFTER AFFECTED VEHICLES.
I STOPPED TO GET GAS, PUT MY CAR IN PARK, AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. IT STARTED ROLLING FORWARD AS I WAS TRYING TO GET OUT. I LEAPED BACK IN AND HIT THE BRAKE AND PUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON. AFTER THAT, THE CAR WOULDN'T START BECAUSE IT WAS REGISTERING THAT THE CAR WAS IN REVERSE EVEN THOUGH THE GEAR SHIFT WAS IN PARK. I WENT INTO THE GEAR SHIFT AREA BY PULLING OFF THE CENTER CONSOLE AND MANUALLY PUT IT IN NEUTRAL SO I COULD START THE CAR AND DROVE IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND SAW THAT SIMILAR ISSUES WERE FOUND IN 2013 AND NEWER FORD FUSIONS AND THEY WERE RECALLED. I'M THINKING THE 2012 YEAR FORD FUSION SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL.
POWER STEERING FAILURE /SERVICE ADVANCETRACE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE'S POWER ASSIST FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED WHILE MAKING A TURN AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME AS THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT CALLED RON ALPEN FORD (1207 N COLUMBUS ST, WEST LIBERTY, IA 52776, 319-627-2958) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING SHOULD RETURN TO NORMAL WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT TO BRING THEM THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO ARRIVE AT THE DEALER WHERE THEY CONFIRMED THE POWER ASSIST FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED BY THE MANUFACTURER TO CONTACT NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,400.
MY CAR WAS GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO TURN .NOW THE POWER STEERING HAS WENT OUT AND ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE SAME INFORMATION AS THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ABOUT 30 MPH WHEN I NOTICED THE SERVICE POWER STEERING AND SERVICE ADVANCETRAC CAME ACROSS THE DASH. ONCE I PULLED OVER, SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON, THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING.

THE CONTACT CALLED THREE DIFFERENT DEALERS, INCLUDING BILL CURRIE FORD AT 813-872-5555 (LOCATED AT 5815 N DALE MABRY HWY, TAMPA, FL 33614) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MOTOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED (CODE P07AE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 144,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
BRAKES ON 2012 FORD FUSION HYBRID COMPLETELY FAILED WHILE DRIVING ON 8/30/19. MY SON WAS DRIVING AND WAS GOING 30 MPH. HE USED THE PARKING BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE FORD DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT 9/3/19. I AM TOLD THE 'ABS MODULE' FAILED. COST FOR PART IS $700. TOTAL REPAIR COST $1400.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 260,000.
STEERING ASSIST ERROR AND ADVANCETRAC ERROR; STEERING FAILED UPON STARTING THE CAR AND UNABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE.
UNABLE TO OPEN DRIVERS SIDE DOOR FROM INSIDE - DRIVERS SIDE ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS AND INSIDE HANDLE WILL NOT OPEN DOOR. MUST PUT WINDOW DOWN AND REACH OUT SIDE TO OPEN DOOR
POWER STEERING IS NOT WORKING
THIS MAKE THE SECOND TIME HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. WE HAD MADE IT HOME AND THE TIRE HAD WENT FLAT. WE TOOK THE TIRE OFF GOT IT REPAIRED AND PUT THE TIRE BACK ON. ONCE WE GOT IT THE CAR TO DRIVE IT THE POWER STEERING WAS STIFF. SO CHECK UNDER THE HOOD , WE RESEARCH TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG. WE CALLED FORD AND THEY TOLD US THAT IT WAS A RECALL ON IT, BUT WHEN WE GAVE THE VIN# IT WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. WHY NOT IT WAS PRODUCED DOING THE TIMES, ITS A 2012 FORD FUSION. WE DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO GET THIS FIXED ESPECIALLY WITH THE PANDEMIC GOING ON. WE JUST RTYING TO KEEP OUR JOBS. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AFTER COMPLYING WITH THE FORD AIRBAG RECALL. TOOK TO THE DEALER AND WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE PASSENGER IN-SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR WAS INTERMITTENT AND WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. PRICE TO FIX IS $900.
THE STEERING WHEEL "SLIPS" WHEN TURNING AT SPEEDS BELOW ~25MPH AND WHILE PARKED.A BANG TYPE NOISE IS HEARD EACH TIME THIS HAPPENS. IT HAPPENS WHEN CHANGING THE ROTATION OF THE STEERING WHEEL.
STEERING WHEEL PLAY AND METAL NOCKING STATIONARY
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. SEE A RECALL FROM 2015 ON 400K+ CARS BUT MINE WASNT ONE OF THEM. IM ALSO HAVING THIS PROBLEM. TRIGGERS WHEN TURNING CAR ON. RESETS WHEN TURNING CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN.
WHILE EXITING FROM MY CONDO PARKING GARAGE, WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKE, BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON AND THERE WAS BRAKE FAILURE.
I WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAC MESSAGE APPEARED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. I QUICKLY NOTICED I HAD NO POWER STEERING. I PULLED OVER AND DID SOME QUICK RESEARCH AND COME TO FIND OUT THAT THERE HAD BEEN OTHER RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM WITH OTHER VEHICLES BUT MINE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL BUT IT WAS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE SAME PARTS (RACK AND PINION).
WAS DRIVING ON MY WAY HOME AND THE ALL THE SUDDEN THE STEERING WENT OUT. WAS HARD TO TURN EVEN IN MOTION.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED CHEST AND KNEE INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT DID NOT KNOW IF THE THE OTHER TWO OCCUPANTS OF THE OTHER VEHICLES WERE INJURED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED BEING SLIGHTLY BLACKED OUT AFTER THE CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT'S SON IN LAW DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED AND NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,061.
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY IN MY 2012 FORD FUSION AT 55 MILES AN HOUR ON HWY 10 AND THE CAR SUDDENLY JERKED TO THE RIGHT AND LOST POWER STEERING HAD TO DITCH IT BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO STEER IT OFF THE ROAD SAFELY. I WAS VERY UPSET BECAUSE I HAD MY GRAND DAUGHTER IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME AND IT SCARED US BOTH.

IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE AUTO TRACK WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO VILLAGE FORD (23535 MICHIGAN AVE, DEARBORN, MI 48124, (313) 565-3900). THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS LINKED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
TAKATA RECALL: JUST PURCHASED 2 MONTHS AGO A 2012 FORD FUSION. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL FOR THE AIRBAGS BEING RECALLED. NO PROBLEMS LEADING UP TO MY AIRBAG LIGHT GOING ON AND STAYING ON UNTIL THE DAY DRIVING IT CAME ON AND WONT GO OFF, EVEN AFTER FORD PUT THE NEW AIRBAG IN. I WOULD LIKE THIS FIXED.

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON JULY 31, 2019 BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REGARDING THE STEERING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,500. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS22322065 AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,713.
DRIVING DOWN I35 AT 75 MPH ADVANCE TRACE CAME ON AND LOST STEERING AS IT TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST DEALER AND SAID RACKANDPINION NEED REPLACED TO GET SYSTEM TO TALK NO STEERING ON VECHEL I SEE RECALL ON THIS BUT DEALER SAYS IT IS NOT AND I MUST FILE A COMPLAINT ON FORD I ORDER TO GET IT FIXED WITH OUT PAYING 2600 FOR REPAIR
THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE CAN CAN BREAK INTERNALLY WHEN EXPOSED TO HIGH TEMPERATURES SUCH AS A HOT SUMMER DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS. THE PLASTIC USED OFF-GASES AND LOSES STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OVER TIME UNFIL FAILURE OCCURS POTENTIALLY TRAPPING A PERSON WHO IS UNABLE TO REACH THE EXTERIOR HANDLE IN THE VEHICLE. ACCORDING TO MY RESEARCH THIS IS A PATTERN OF HAPPENINGS WITH THE 2012 FORD FUSION DUE TO A CHANGE BY FORD IN DOOR HANDLE CONSTRUCTION. REPAIRS ARE OFTEN INEFFECTIVE AS IT IS REPLACED WITH A SIMILAR PART THAT FAILS IN THE SAME MANNER.

'TAKATA RECALL' I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET APPROX. 40MPH WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN LIGHTS AND SOUNDS ON DASH BOARD WENT OFF STATING SERVICE POWER STEERING AND SERVICE ADVANCE AUTO TRAC AFTER PULLING OVER TURNING THE CAR OFF THEN BACK ON YOU NO LONGER COULD STEER OR DRIVE THE CAR.
TOOK MY CAR IN TO HAVE THE AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL REPAIRED LAST WEEK. HAD NOT DRIVEN AT NIGHT UNTIL 2 DAYS AGO AND NOTICED MY LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE NO LONGER WORKING. I HAVE CHECKED THE FUSES, LIGHT BULBS, AND EVEN REPLACED THE HEADLAMP SWITCH BUT NOTHING. THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD IT REPAIRED STATED THE REPAIR WOULD NOT AFFECT MY LIGHTS. HAD THE CAR FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UNTIL NOW. TOO COINCIDENTAL.

ISSUE IS WITH THE INTERMITTENT WIPERS NOT PROPERLY WORKING. WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS INCLUDE 3 BASIC ITEMS, 2 ARE ISSUES, ONE IS NOT: 1) WIPERS WORK AS NEEDED, INTERMITTENT WORKS WHEN NEEDED (AUTO SENSING) OR AT THE INTERVAL THAT WOULD BE NORMAL. 2) WIPERS WILL BE WORKING PROPERLY AND THEN JUST STOP, EVEN THOUGH IT IS RAINING STEADILY. ONLY WAY TO GET THEM TO START IS TO TURN THE WIPER SWITCH TO ANOTHER SETTING. WILL NOT ENSURE THEY KEEP WORKING THOUGH. 3) WIPERS WORKING WITH PROPER INTERMISSION, THEN TURN ON HIGH WITH LITTLE TO NO RAIN. ONLY WAY TO STOP IS TO CHANGE THE POSITION ON THE SWITCH. ANY OF THESE ARE RANDOM, THERE IS NOT ONE INSTANCE THAT CAUSES ONE OF THESE TO HAPPEN EVERY TIME. BIGGEST CONCERN IS OBVIOUSLY THE WIPERS NOT WORKING IN A STEADY OR HEAVY RAIN CAUSING VISIBILITY CONCERNS. AGAIN, THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS, BUT MOST RECENTLY HAPPENED ON JULY 19.
