WHILE DRIVING MY CHILDREN TO SCHOOL, AND ALREADY GETTING CLOSE TO THE DROP OFF LOCATION (INSIDE THE SCHOOL AND WHERE CHILDREN ALREADY WALKING THROUGHOUT THE PARKING LOT) THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER WHILE MY CAR WAS IN MOTION. LUCKILY I WAS JUST TRAVELING AT ABOUT 5MPH, AND THERE WAS NOBODY INFORM OF MY AT THE TIME AND I DID NOT RUN OVER ANY ONE. WHEN THIS HAPPENED, A MESSAGE CAME ON THE DASHBOARD THAT READ SOMETHING ABOUT STEERING FAILURE. I HAD TO DRIVE UP TO A SAFE LOCATION WHERE I LEFT MY VEHICLE PARKED AND HAD TO CALL SOMEONE TO PICK ME UP. THIS IS MY WIFE'S CAR BUT ON THIS DAY I TOOK MY KIDS TO SCHOOL. HAD IT BEEN HER DRIVING OR IF I OR HER WERE TRAVELING AT A HIGHER SPEED I FEAR THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DIFFERENT OUTCOME.
I HAVE A 2012 FORD FUSION, EVER SINCE I BOUGHT IT I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE POWER STEERING. I WOULD GO TO MAKE A TURN AND THE POWER STEERING WOULD GO. I ALMOST CAUSED 2 ACCIDENTS. I WOULD SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WAIT ABOUT 1 TO2 MINS AND START THE CAR AND IT WOULD BE FINE. I CALLED THE FORD DEALER SHIP NUMEROUS TIMES AND ALL I GOT WAS "THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO". I THEN TAKE IT IN FOR A AIRBAG RECALL AND TELL THEM THAT THE POWER STEERING IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING. THEIR RESPONSE WAS WE CAN CHECK IT WITH A DIAGNOSTIC TEST IF IT READS CODES WE CAN REPLACE IF NOT WE WILL RESET IT. I PICK MY VECHICAL UP AND THE 2ND DAY IT DOES IT AGAIN. I DO THE SAME SHUT IT OFF AND RESTART EVERYTHING WORKS. IT DOES IT FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS ABOUT TWICE EACH WEEK. I GO TO DRIVE HOME ON THE INTERSTATE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I LOOSE ALL POWER STEERING. I PULL OVER AND SHUT CAR OFF AND RESTART AND NOTHING STILL NO POWERSTEERING. I DRIVE IT ALL THE HOME AND CALL THE DEALER THE NEXT MORNING AND GET TOLD THETES NOTHING WE CAN DO MAAM. NOW THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME 1800 TO FIX IT WHEN IT CLEARLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN WHEN IT WAS IN THE SHOP. I HAVE ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS DO TO THIS ISSUE. I FEEL FORD SHOULD FIX THE ISSUE.
POWER STEERING FAILURE
THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE AT ALL. I HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE OPEN IT FROM THE OUTSIDE FOR ME OR ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW TWIST AROUND IN THE SEAT AND OPEN IT FOR MYSELF. I THEN HAVE TO ROLL THE WI DOW BACK UP. I HAVE ONLY 72120 MILES ON THIS CAR. IT IS RIDICULOUS. I CAN EASILY GET TRAPPED INSIDE IN AN ACCIDENT AND NOT BE ABLE TO GET MYSELF OUT. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND I WOULD NEED TO FIX IT AT COST. I AM THE ONLY OWNER OF THIS CAR HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? I LOOKED ONLINE TO SEE HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE AND IT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. HOW HAS NOBODY GOTTEN KILLED BY BEING TRAPPED IN THE CAR? LUCK! I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT SINCE IT IS WINTER AND KNOW MY FELLOW DRIVERS ARE NOT AS CAUTIOUS AS I AM. I NEED TO SAVE UP MONEY TO BE ABLE TO GET THIS FIXED YET I AM SCARED TO DRIVE TO WORK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at high speeds the vehicle shut off, restarted, and shut off again. The contact was able to drive, but the vehicle shut off. The power steering assist fault warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the warranty had expired. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
ON THE EVENING OF DEC 29TH, UPON TURNING MY CAR ON WHILE AWAY ON A TRIP TO MORIN HEIGHTS (QUEBEC, CANADA), A "POWER STEERING FAULT" FLASHED ON MY DASH, AND I WAS UNABLE TO TURN MY STEERING WHEEL. NEIGHBOURS IN THE COTTAGE TOLD ME TO DRIVE TO A GAS STATION 1 MILE AWAY WITH MY BLINKERS ON, AND ASK FOR POWER STEERING FLUID. I BARELY MADE IT HALF A MILE OUT OF THE MORIN HEIGHTS VILLAGE, WHEN I GOT STUCK MAKING A SHARP RIGHT TURN FROM RUE ALLEN TO RUE BENNETT TO GET TO ESSO (723 CHEMIN DU VILLAGE, MORIN-HEIGHTS, QC). MY STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN RIGHT, AND I DANGEROUSLY ENDED UP IN THE LANE FACING OPPOSITE TRAFFIC. I TRIED TO TURN IT LEFT AND CONTINUE GOING STRAIGHT, BUT GOT STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. CARS NEARLY HIT ME AND EVERYONE WAS HONKING AT ME. A STRANGER PULLED OVER NEXT TO ME AND USED MANUAL FORCE ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO STEER MY CAR BACK AROUND, AND DROVE IT TO THE ESSO HALF A MILE AWAY. I BOUGHT POWER STEERING FLUID, ONLY TO DISCOVER THERE WAS NO COMPARTMENT TO PUT IT INTO, AND LEARNT THAT THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. WE PARKED MY CAR AT THE GAS STATION AND DEBATED HOW LONG I'LL LEAVE IT THERE FOR, HOW I'LL DRIVE BACK TO NY 480 MILES AWAY, HOW I AM GOING TO RESOLVE THIS MEANWHILE IT'S -15 DEGREES CELSIUS OUTSIDE AND I'M GETTING FROSTBITTEN. AFTER TURNING THE CAR BACK ON, THE "POWER STEER FAULT" WARNING DISAPPEARED AND MY STEERING WHEEL WAS BACK TO NORMAL. NEXT DAY ALL SERVICE SHOPS WERE CLOSED (SUNDAY), AND MONDAY WAS NEW YEARS HOLIDAY. I WAS NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS BACK TO NY, BUT HAD NO OTHER CHOICE. I AM ABSOLUTELY MORTIFIED THAT AFTER SO MANY COMPLAINTS TO FORD CORPORATE ABOUT MY AIRBAG REPLACEMENT, THIS HAD TO HAPPEN. I DEMAND A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE AND FOR SOMEONE TO REACH OUT AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE RECALLS THAT ARE ISSUED, YET NO ACTION BEING TAKEN.

WHILE DRIVING, THE SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW LIGHT CAME ON, MAKE IT VERY HARD TO TAKE.TURNS ON ROADS, IN DRIVEWAYS ECT. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THIS IS A SIMILAR RECALL FOR FORD IN 2015. HOWEVER MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT DISPLAYING THE RECALL FORNTHENPOWER STEERING ISSUE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PERRY FORD OF NATIONAL CITY (2050 NATIONAL CITY BLVD, NATIONAL CITY, CA 91950, 619-477-2711) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 180,000.
POWER STEERING JUST WENT OUT WITH NO WARNING AS I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE A TURN. WAS ALMOST IN A WRECK. EXTREMELY HARD TO TURN AND DANGEROUS. FORD KNOWS THIS IS AN ISSUE YET THEY DON'T WANT TO FIX IT ON THIS CAR.
MOTOR STARTS SPUTTERING AND THEN DIES, I STOP, THEN I START IT UP AND ITS FINE -FOR A WHILE.
2012 FUSION WITH 62,000 MILES. WHEN STATIONARY, IT MAKES A SOUND WHEN YOU TURN THE STEERING WHEEL JUST SLIGHTLY EITHER WAY. MECHANIC SAYS THE ELECTRIC RACK AND PINION IS THE PROBLEM AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD BE HAVING THIS ISSUE AT ONLY 62,000 MILES. THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE FIX. SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS.
AT 2:00AM 12/19/2018 I WAS PARKING IN FRONT OF A RESTURAUNT TO ORDER FOOD MY STEERING WHEEL WAS WORKING JUST FINE. AFTER COMING BACK OUTSIDE TO LEAVE TO GO HOME THE STEERING WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO MOVE. I COULDN'T TURN LEFT OR RIGHT.
I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT TIME AROUND 35 MPH AND THE POWER STEERING ALERT LIGHT CAME ON. FOLLOWING THAT ANOTHER LIGHT CAME ON FOR ADVANCED TRACK WARNING. EITHER WAY MY CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE POWER STEERING RECALL FOR MY CAR SAME YEAR, MAKE ,AND MODEL. I WAS INFORMED THIS BY FORD. PRIOR TO THIS MY CAR WAS DRIVING FINE AND THIS HAPPENED ALL OF A SUDDEN. NOW THE CAR IS VERY HARD TO TURN, FINE TO STEER, AND VERY HARD TO PARK. I DO NOT PLAN ON FIXING AND PLAN TO MOVE ON FROM FORD BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. AFTER RESEARCHING ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE I ALSO DISCOVERED THIS HAS BEEN A REGULAR OCCURRENCE FOR THIS SAME YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL CAR. ALSO I NOTICED THAT FORD DID NOTHING SANS THE RECALLS TO RECTIFY THIS SAME PROBLEM THAT OCCURRED TO SIMILAR CARS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
WAS BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL AT ALL. NOTICED THE WARNING LIGHT SAYING TO SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW. I HAD JUST PARKED 2 HOURS EARLIER AND THE CAR WAS FINE.
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HER CAR TO THE DENTIST OFFICE WHEN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. SHE HAD TO USE EVERYTHING SHE HAD TO STEER THE CAR BUT WAS ABLE TO TURN AROUND AND MAKE IT HOME SAFELY. LUCKILY SHE HAD NOT GOTTEN TO MOBILE AND GOTTEN INTO TRAFFIC. FORD RECALLED ONLY CERTAIN 2011 AND 2012 FUSIONS BUT MY DAUGHTER'S EVIDENTLY WAS NOT IN THE RECALL EVEN THO IT HAS THE SAME ISSUES AS THOSE RECALLED. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION OF THIS ISSUE AND FORD MADE SURE THE RECALL WAS SHORT LIVED SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE TO FOOT A MAJOR BILL. THIS COULD EASILY CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT OUT ON A BUSY ROAD OR ON A DIRT ROAD. FORD SAYS HER CAR IS NOT COVERED AND WILL COST $1600 FOR PART THEN ADD $1000 + FOR LABOR BEING THIS IS A MAJOR FIX.
BLOWER MOTOR AND RESISTERS OVER HEATING AND SHORTING OUT. NEEDS REPLACING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE POWER STEERING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO METRO FORD (2860 S NOLAND RD, INDEPENDENCE, MO 64055, 816-254-9800) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 147,346.
AT 80,000, MY BRAKES FAILED. IT STARTED WHEN I STARTED THE CAR IN THE MORNING AFTER IT SAT IN THE GARAGE OVERNIGHT. WHEN I STARTED THE CAR, I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THEN PUT HE CAR IN REVERSE. MY FOOT WENT TO THE FLOOR BOARD TO STOP THE CAR. NORMALLY, I BARELY TAP THE BRAKE PEDAL FOR IT TO STOP. THIS HAPPENED TWICE AND I TOOK IT TO A BRAKE SHOP. THEY REALIZED THIS BRAKE FAILURE HAPPENS BOTH GOING FORWARD AND REVERSE AFTER THE CAR SAT FOR OVERNIGHT. AFTER RESEARCH, THEY REALIZED THAT THIS IS A MAJOR BRAKE PROBLEM AND SUGGESTED I VISIT A FORD SERVICE CENTER SINCE THEY WERE NOT EQUIPPED FOR THIS TYPE OF REPAIR. I HAD THE FUSION TOWED TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER. AFTER THE FIRST DIAGNOSTIC, THE DEALER SAID THAT IT IS THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT. I THEN MENTIONED TO THE DEALER EMPLOYEE THAT THERE ARE MANY REPORTS ON THIS VEHICLE HAVING THIS SAME SITUATION AND IT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

ACCORDING TO FORD CAR NEEDS HCU UNIT AND ECU. JUST HAD THE CAR FULLY SERVICED AND NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND. TIRES ARE NEW AS WELL. FORD WANTS $3000 TO REPLACE THE HCU AND ECU AND DRAIN THE BRAKE FLUID. I THINK I'M GONNA HAVE TO SCRAP THE CAR.

WHEN THE CONTACT RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WAS ACCELERATING IN MY VEHICLE WHEN THE CAR HESITATED AND THEN JUST SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD SHOWING ONLY AN ORANGE WRENCH LIGHT ON THE DASH. THANKFULLY I WAS DRIVING IN TOWN AND ACTUALLY TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET MY AIRBAG RECALL FIXED WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND NOBODY OTHER THAN MY BOYFRIEND WAS BEHIND ME. I TURNED THE KEY INTO THE OFF POSITION AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE DASH (WRENCH) LIGHT INDICATOR WENT OFF. I COULD HAVE SERIOUSLY INJURED MYSELF OR ANOTHER VEHICLE DUE TO WHAT SEEMS TO BE BE A SYSTEM FAILURE! I REFUSED TO TAKE MY CAR HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP UNTIL THEY CHECKED INTO IT. THEY ACTED AS IF IT WAS NO BIG DEAL BECAUSE THE (WRENCH) LIGHT ON THE DASH WENT OFF BUT I'M VERY CONCERNED IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE AND BAD ACCIDENTS CAN BE A RESULT OF THIS.
WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE PAVED ROAD ABOUT 15 MILES PER HOUR I LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR WHILE ENGAGING A SLIGHT CURVE IN THE ROAD AND THE CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN SPED UP OUT OF CONTROL. THE BRAKES HAD NO EFFECT ON STOPPING THE CAR. SO I STEERED AWAY FROM TRAFFIC AHEAD AND WENT INTO AN OPEN FIELD. THE CAR GOT UP TO AROUND 50 MPH, AND 60 YARDS OUT I HIT A 10 FOOT WIDE TRENCH BY 2 FOOT DEEP. THE FRONT END HIT THE OTHER SIDE AND THE AIRBAG WENT OFF. THE BRAKES FINALLY STOPPED THE CAR ABOUT 30 YARDS FROM THE TRENCH. THE DECORATIVE FRONT END AND THE BACK END WAS TORE OFF ALONG WITH MISCELLANEOUS BRACKETS. THE RADIATOR WAS PUSHED UP INTO THE HOOD WITH NO LEAKS.
DROVE VEHICLE 15 MILES TO DESTINATION AND THEN ANOTHER 15 MILES BACK HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. PARKED AND FULLY TURNED VEHICLE OFF AND WENT INSIDE THE HOUSE. RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE 6 MINUTES LATER AND UPON INSERTING KEY AND STARTING VEHICLE GOT THE MESSAGE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN. RETURNED TO THE HOUSE TO GOOGLE THE ERROR AND TO MY SURPRISE FOUND THAT THIS WAS A COMMON ISSUE FOR THIS MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR AND HAD RESULTED IN A LARGE RECALL. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS VIN# WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. I AM HOPING SOMEONE CAN PROVIDE AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY IT IS NOT INCLUDED AS THIS IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY ISSUE. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE DRIVER IS TURNING LEFT AGAINST TRAFFIC AND THE STEERING GOES OUT? OR A CHILD OR PEDESTRIAN IS INJURED (OR WORSE) AS A RESULT OF THE STEERING LOCKING UP. CLEARLY THERE IS MANUFACTURER LIABILITY HERE.
ONE MONTH AGO, I GOT A "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" WHEN I STARTED THE CAR. RESTARTING THE CAR MADE IT GO AWAY, BUT IT WOULD COME BACK WITHIN A DAY. THE CAR ALSO STARTED PULLING LIKE IT WAS WAY OUT OF ALIGNMENT. SO ON DAY 3 OF THIS, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY REPLACED THE STEERING GEAR. ONE MONTH LATER, MY CAR IS AGAIN PULLING LIKE IT'S OUT OF ALIGNMENT (OR MAYBE I'M FIGHTING THE POWER STEERING). THIS TIME, THERE IS ALSO NOW A SQUEAKING NOISE WHEN I TURN THE WHEEL. MY CONCERN IS THAT I WILL LOSE STEERING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING. AFTER REVIEW, THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE THAT'S COMING UP WITH THE 2012 FORD FUSION SO I WANTED TO REPORT THAT I AM ALSO EXPERIENCING POWER STEERING ISSUES WITH THIS CAR.

VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND APPARENTLY WHAT THEY DID TO FIX IT THE FIRST TIME WAS NOT EFFECTIVE. I SEE THERE IS SOME SORT OF RECALL ON THE 2012 FORD FUSION HYBRIDS BUT DESPITE ALL THE COMPLAINTS NOBODY HAS EFFECTIVELY ADDRESSED THE ISSUE.

I STARTED MY CAR, BACKED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND MY STEERING WHEEL WOULDNT TURN. AN ALERT POPPED UP ON THE DASH SAYING "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" AND I COULD NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. I RESTARTED THR CAR, ALL SEEMED FINE. AS I WAS DRIVING, DOWN THE STREET TOWARDS THE STOP SIGN, IT HAPPENED AGAIN.
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DURING A TURN IN THE ROAD THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. A CHECK POWER STEERING LIGHT FLASHED ON THE DASH, I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL AND WAS FORCED INTO THE DITCH. I HAD MY BOYFRIEND COME GET ME AND DRIVE THE CAR HOME HE SAID THE STEERING WAS 4X HARDER TO TURN THAN A MANUAL STEERING RACK. I LOOKED UP THE ISSUE ONLINE AND IT CAME BACK TO 385,000 11-12 FUSIONS BEING RECALLED BECAUSE OF THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. I CALLED FORD AND THEY CLAIMED THIS VEHICLE IS NOT ELIGIBLE AND THE COST TO FIX IT WOULD BE BETWEEN 2500-3200 DOLLARS. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON A BUSIER ROAD MULTIPLE PEOPLE COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED AND FOR IS NEGLIGENT TO HOLD RESPONSIBILITY.

TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED MAIL STATING THERE WAS A RECALL INVOLVING DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS THAT COULD CAUSE POTENTIAL HARM OR DEATH UPON IMPACT. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE FORD DEALERSHIP CLOSEST TO ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A REPLACEMENT. TEN DAYS WENT BY AND I CALLED TO CHECK THE PROGRESS AND I WAS TOLD THE ITEMS WERE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL THE END OF DECEMBER. CURRENTLY I FEEL LIKE I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE DANGER IT POSES TO ME AND ANY OF MY PASSENGERS. AND IT LOOKS LIKE I WONT'T BE ABLE TO DRIVE AGAIN FOR SEVERAL WEEKS.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT CAME UP LAST NIGHT OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE HOME AT NIGHT IN THE RAIN. I WAS STATIONARY WHEN IT CAME ON AND ITS HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE BUT I TURNED MY CAR OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL. THIS TIME I TRIED THE SAME THING BUT IT NEVER CLEARED ITSELF AND I'M CURRENTLY DRIVING IT WITH NO POWER STEERING BECAUSE I NEEDED TO GO TO WORK. VERY DANGEROUS AND A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE.
