This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.

I took my car in because the electric parking brake warning appeared while driving. I also looked it up and saw many others were having this issue. So basically Honda charged me for something that’s an ongoing Honda issue and passed it off as a glitch and cleared the codes. Clearly Honda needs to recall the 2023 accord because this isn’t safe and clearing the code isn’t taking care of the problem. Furthermore charging me for diagnosing this is completely wrong knowing this is not a problem only I am having. Honda needs a recall before there are serious accidents.
My automatic braking system randomly halted me to a stop in the middle of a clear road and almost caused the person behind me to crash into me even though they were back away from me a safe distance. This has happened several times now and it scares me a lot every time it happens. Makes me want to sell the car. I looked it up and saw that many other people online have had an issue with this feature. I also learned there’s no way for me to fully disable the feature which is frustrating. I can only turn it off manually each time I turn my car on. This feature is not safe and has put my life at risk way more times than it has been helpful.
OTA system keeps failing and needed to go to dealer every other week. The radio freezes and glitches. Yes I’ve been to dealer 3 times in the last 6 months about this issues.
When steering there is noise coming out. When parking or turning wheel all the way to one side it makes weird noise. I see so many complaints about this.
During transit, the dash displayed several errors and then finally stated that there was a "Brake System problem, Brake performance my be reduced. See your dealer." The car lost power and I had to find a parking lot to exit the street to. After turning the car off and back on the car drove normal but with the Break System error still on the dash console. After parking the car for a while at home, I restarted the car and the error was no longer displayed and everything seemed normal again.
It is my understanding Honda issued a extended warranty on the air conditioning condenser for its Accord models from 2018-2022. I have a 2023 Accord and the exact same issue has happened on my car. Similar to the earlier problems with fuel pumps where a partial recall was extended to the same model built in later years, I am suggesting Honda needs to repeat the extended warranty to include 2023 models. I am bringing this issue to your attention in case others are having the same experience.
I was driving on the Freeway doing about 65 to 70 MPH and all of a sudden on the Dashboard a large orange brake light came on and the vehicle hit the brakes automatically almost causing an accident. I took it to the dealership and all they did was reset some computer board but said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. If they couldn’t find anything wrong with the vehicle then why reset the computer board.
My car automatically braked almost causing the car behind me to rear end me for no reason.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V785000 (Electrical System), the message "Updates Unavailable - TCN2 - Have Checked by Dealer" remained displayed. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who was unable to repair the vehicle and informed the contact that the manufacturer was aware of the failure and was currently seeking a fix to correct the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 12,000.
Rear camber is set way to aggressive and wearing out the inside of tires VERY QUICKLY!! According to 2 different shops they have adjusted the camber as far as the factory part will allow with the only option is to buy a aftermarket camber arm to get more adjustment. I am on my 3rd set of tires with only 57000 miles. I went father then i should have on replacing the worn (inside of tire past the metal wire) without knowing it was that bad. Could have had a very serios blowout on rear. Dealer ship said none of this would be covered under warranty!! the wear started form the get go and might can get the 1st alignment information from the shop that performed the alignment. Other individuals I know they have accords and civics in the 23 and newer are having simular issues!! Pics in file are both rear tires that had been rotated 3 times in aprox 20k and alignment checked.
Had a light come on about the Electric power steering, Steering assist reduced see your dealer I know the hybrid had this problem but mine is just a gas model
To Whom It May Concern, My 2023 Honda Accord (VIN: <Fill in red: VIN [XXX] >) has been disabled since January 27, 2026 due to a fuel system failure. The dealership falsely claimed diesel contamination, which I deny. Despite escalation to Honda executives and NJ Lemon Law action, the vehicle remains unsafe and unusable. Attached is documentation supporting my complaint (Master PDF: Camardo_Honda_Accord_Escalation.pdf). I request your immediate review and assistance to resolve this safety issue. I was driving down the freeway and all of a sudden there was a spontaneous, loud-bang, and explosion-like shattering of my moonroof/sunroof. I didn't know what happened initially but heard glass shards sliding around the roof. I slid the cover slightly open and could see the shattered glass. I drove home and discovered a hole in the glass. Im attaching pictures of what I saw. I got home and searched online to see if anyone else has experienced this and found several articles referencing 2023 Honda Accord's and this issue. Including some class action law suits against Honda.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated that after taking the vehicle in for a check, the instrument panel was inoperative. The contact attempted to reboot the system, but the issue persisted. The contact stated that the steering gear box was failing, and that the steering wheel was firm, and the contact temporarily lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not repaired because of the cost of the diagnostic test. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,853.
The front passenger seat is very low to a point where a deployed air bag Will hit the passenger in the face, hinders ability to breathe and cause injuries to the face, I took the vehicle to our local Honda Dealer to correct the problem because the car still under manufacture warranty the dealer didn’t even acknowledge the issue
My vehicle has an open safety recall 25V785 related to improper software programming of the Integrated Control Module CPU, which can cause loss of drive power while driving. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Tempe Honda dealer (8030 South Autoplex Loop, Tempe, AZ 85284) to have the recall completed. The dealer confirmed the recall is a software ICM update, but refused to perform the recall unless I paid approximately $981 plus tax to replace the original OEM audio head unit. The dealer stated that over-the-air infotainment updates were previously declined and claimed this prevents completion of the safety recall. The recall was not completed. The vehicle remains unrepaired for a known safety defect that can result in loss of drive power while in operation. Dealer refusal was documented in writing.
This is a second formal supplemental complaint. Vann York Honda sold this car as new, but a Honda America provided Carfax proved it was a prior personal use vehicle. The car has catastrophic phantom braking, causing a physical friction rash on my skin. Multiple witnesses are now afraid to ride in the car. The vehicle has suspension failures documented by irregular tire readings. Despite an active federal recall, Flow Honda refused mandated repairs. During a prior headliner repair, Flow Honda returned the car with a collapsed headliner and a Maintenance Minder A127 code. The oil life dropped from 45% to 5% without added mileage, yet I was told to drive it. Weatherstripping has been replaced. Recall work for seatbelt (which came apart) and fire risk in the engine. Manager Chris Moore falsely claimed a brake warning was merely a remote start issue. He has also shows a lack of understanding of the NC lemon laws. I have recorded complaints from well under 24,000 miles. Flow Honda held the car for four months, then claimed they did not know it was there. They sent a text acknowledging the recall but failed to perform it, trying to ship the car back to me to hide its 120-day neglect. The car has lot rot, tire rot, and an open battery exposed since [XXX]. My insurance company ignored warnings of retaliation and forced the car back to Flow Honda. They recorded a medical diagnosis of a panic attack on my paperwork without medical expertise and falsely claimed I requested a collision shop despite no collision occurring. This matter has reached my state representatives and the Governor. As a [XXX], this tax-exempt vehicle is a medical necessity. I am being denied federal safety repairs and discriminated against based on my sex, gender, and [XXX]. My first report to NSHTA was done March 2025. While coming to a stop on a slight incline, the brakes failed to stop the car, brakes were applied and initially slowed the car but when the slight incline was reached the brakes would not engage and the idle of the car move it forward and still the brakes would not engage. I had to put the car into neutral then park to stop. After the incident the brakes seemed to work fine. Nonetheless this is a major issue. There were no warning lights or any indication that something was malfunctioning. There were no indications after the incident either that anything malfunctioned. I will be taking the car to the dealer ASAP to have checked. We lightly tapped a truck that was in front of us on the slight incline - no obvious damage to either vehicle ( need to verify in daylight) - no injuries to anyone in the incident. If we were traveling faster there could have been serious injury or if there was a pedestrian there could have been serious injury.
MY CAR HAS A HOLE IN THE MOTOR, THE THROW ROD SHOT OUT OF IT. THE DEALERSHIP CLASSIC HONDA REFUSED TO DO ANY REAL INVESTIGATION AND IS RELYING SOLELY ON THE DIPSTICK READING. THIS CLEARLY VIOLATES ME IN PLENTY OF WAYS THIS IS WHAT I SENT THEM. I am formally escalating this matter and requesting immediate supervisory review and intervention regarding the inspection and handling of my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. The dealership is relying solely on a dipstick reading taken from an engine with a breached engine block. Once the engine block is compromised, the crankcase is no longer sealed, and oil redistributes into different internal cavities and passages. Under these conditions, a dipstick reading is not a reliable or valid method to determine pre-failure oil quantity or causation. I specifically requested that the oil pan drain plug be removed so the oil could be measured directly, which would provide an accurate and objective assessment of oil quantity. This request was refused. I was told, verbatim, that the dealership would not touch the vehicle any further. This refusal to perform a basic, non-destructive verification step, while continuing to rely on an unreliable post-failure dipstick reading, is not consistent with proper diagnostic procedure or good-faith warranty investigation. At this point, I am requesting: Immediate supervisory review of this case Assignment of a qualified Honda representative or supervisor to oversee a proper inspection Documentation explaining why a direct oil measurement was refused Confirmation that the vehicle and all components remain preserved for further review I am not asking for speculation or opinion. I am requesting a proper, objective, and technically sound investigation. Please treat this as a formal escalation request. I am prepared to pursue arbitration and further remedies if this matter continues to be handled without appropriate diagnostic standards. I request a response within 48 hours. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF
