AC/CLIMATE CONTROL CIRCUIT BOARD IS NOT FUNCTIONING. THERE WAS A VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN ISSUED BY INFINITI (TB003-007, CAMPAIGN ID P3104), BUT ONLY FOR CERTAIN VIN NUMBERS. MANY OTHER 2003 OWNERS, NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL, ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS REAR AND FRONT WINDOW DEFROSTERS DO NOT OPERATE. *TR
I GOT MY CAR IN APRIL 2013 NOT A YEAR YET. I WAS AT WORK WHEN THEY SAID THE LIGHT STARTED TO BLINK AND THEN THE ALARM STARTED TO GO OFF WHEN THE SECURITY CAME BY AROUND IT WAS SMOKING AND ON FIRE IT WAS COMING FROM THE HOOD. THE POLICE AND FIRE STATION SAID THEY THINK IT WAS A ELECTRIC PROBLEMS. I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO NOW. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CLIMATE CONTROL THERMOSTAT AND RADIO FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CIRCUIT BOARD NEEDED BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
THE ENTIRE CONSOLE INCLUDING DEFROSTER ETC. WENT OUT. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND A VOLUNTARY RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR SEDANS BUT NOT COUPES. HOWEVER, THE COUPE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS THE FINISHER ELECTRICAL CARD WHICH FAILED AND APPARENTLY HAS BEEN FAILING CONSISTENTLY FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL. INFINITI IS FORCING THEIR CUSTOMERS TO PAY FOR THIS ORIGINAL FLAW. OTHERWISE YOU ARE STUCK WITHOUT ANY ABILITY TO ALTER THE CONSOLE SETTINGS INCLUDING THE ABILITY TO DEFROST/DEFOG YOUR WINDSHIELD WHICH CREATES A SAFETY CONCERN. I WILL NO LONGER BE IN THE MARKET FOR A NISSAN PRODUCT, ALONG WITH MY NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS AND RELATIVES THAT I HAVE SHARED THIS WITH. *TR
I RECENTLY GOT A USED CAR FROM MY FRIEND, BUT THE CLIMATE CONTROL DOESN'T WORK ON THE CAR. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN A LONG TIME, BUT I NOTICED THIS AFTER GETTING THIS CAR TO ME FROM MY FRIEND, BUT SHE SAID SHE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR LONG TIME. THE SPECIFIC PROBLEM IS THAT THE AUDIO PANEL DOESN'T WORK, THE CLIMATE PANEL IS WITH THE AUDIO PANEL, SO THE CLIMATE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. SO I CANNOT CONTROL MY CLIMATE IN MY CAR, SO THE FRONT AND REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER ALL THE TIME, IT IS REALLY HARD TO DRIVE. WHEN I CHECKED THIS PROBLEM WITH DEALER AND ON THE WEB, IT IS REALLY,,COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS YEAR AND THIS KIND OF CAR, BUT THE COMPANY DOESN'T HAVE RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, SO THE DEALER SAID IT COSTS MORE THAN $1,000 TO CHANGE THE PANEL AND TO FIX ALL PROBLEM. DRIVING HAZARD B/C OF NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE CLIMATE, PARTICULARLY THE FRONT AND REAR WINDOW DEFROSTERS. *TR
JUST RECENTLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY RADIO AND A/C UNIT ON THE DASHBOARD BLANKED OUT AND STOPPED WORKING. RIGHT AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE LATER THE A/C CAME ON FULL BLAST WITH THE TEMPERATURE AT 68 ALONG WITH THE RADIO PLAYING. AT THAT TIME I WAS ONLY ABLE TO OPERATE THE RADIO FROM THE STEERING WHILE. THIS MAKES ME REALLY NERVOUS BECAUSE I WILL SOON NEED TO USE MY DEFROSTER DUE TO THE CLIMATE CHANGE, I WONT BE ABLE TO SEE WHICH COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. AFTER RESEARCHING AND FINDING OUT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 03 G35 INFINITI SEDAN, I CALLED THE DEALER ONLY TO FIND OUT MY CAR WASN'T ON THE RECALL LIST. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY CAR IS NOT COVERED SINCE IT IS THE EXACT SAME MODEL AND EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. *TR
AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. IT WAS BASICALLY A MOVING PARKED CAR!!! THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED SO IT WAS REALLY HARD TO PULL OVER. THANK GOD I WAS ON A LOCAL STREET. I DIDN'T FORCE THE STEERING TOO MUCH B/C THAT COULD AFFECT THE POWER STEERING. ONCE ON THE SIDE, THE CAR TOOK REALLY LONG TO START UP, I MEAN ABOUT 5 SECONDS FROM HEARING THE CRANK TO ACTUAL STARTUP. USUALLY IT?S INSTANTANEOUS. NOW, THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON, VDC OFF, AND SLIP LIGHTS WERE ON. I GOT MY CAR CHECKED OUT WITH A SCANNER/DIAGNOSIS AND IT RETURNED CODE ?P0340 CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR.? I JUST FIND IT REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE NISSAN/INFINITI DOES NOT COVER SUCH A DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY CAR HAS MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL ISSUES BUT FOR A CAR TO STOP WORKING ON THE ROAD LIKE THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BUT ACCORDING TO NISSAN/INFINITI MY CAR VIN IS NOT FOR THIS CAMPAIGN SO I WAS REJECTED. ITB03-072 SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN 2002 Q45, 2003 M45, G35, 2002-2003 I35; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN ENGINE SENSORS INFINITI HAS DETERMINED THAT SOME 2002-2003 MODEL YEAR INFINITI VEHICLES MAY HAVE A DEFECT WHICH RELATES TO MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY. THE ENGINE MIGHT STOP RUNNING WHILE BEING DRIVEN IF THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR OR CAM POSITION SENSOR FAILS. THIS MAY ALSO RESULT IN THE ?SERVICE ENGINE SOON? LIGHT COMING ON OR REDUCED ENGINE POWER. IF THE ENGINE STOPS RUNNING WHILE DRIVING, THIS COULD RESULT IN A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. *TR
THE CAR SIMPLY DIED AFTER PULLING ON TO A BUSY HIGHWAY. IT WOULD NOT START FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. AFTER TAKING THE CAR TO THE INFINITY DEALERSHIP I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A CAM SHIFT SENSOR FAILURE. NOT JUST ONE, BUT TWO SENSORS. I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS MODEL BUT I CANNOT GET THE INFINITY TO COMPLY WITH THIS RECALL AND THE SUBSEQUENTLY CHARGED ME $500+ TO REPLACE THE TWO FOULED PARTS. VERY DISAPPOINTING. *JS
MY ENTIRE CENTER CONSOLE GRADUALLY STOPPED WORKING. THE AC/CLIMATE CONTROL IS ALWAYS ON FULL-BLAST (NO WAY TO ADJUST IT OR TURN IT OFF). THE RADIO DOES NOT TURN ON OR OFF. THE GARAGE CONTROLS ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL. NONE OF THE LIGHTS APPEAR ON THE DASHBOARD. AFTER SPEAKING WITH TWO LOCAL DEALERSHIPS AND LOOKING UP INFORMATION ONLINE, I DISCOVERED THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL. 9/10 TIMES, THE COMPLICATION APPARENTLY GOES AWAY AFTER REPLACING THE AUDIO UNIT. ESTIMATED COST OF PARTS/REPAIR OF THE AUDIO UNIT AT THE DEALER IS $800. IF THIS DOESN'T WORK, I WAS TOLD IT'S USUALLY THE CIRCUIT BOARD, WHICH ALSO COSTS AROUND $800.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE CAM SHAFT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL FAILURES CAUSED TOTAL LOST CONTROL OF AIR CONDITION AND AUDIO SYSTEM. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT OR BAD WEATHER DUE TO FRONT AND REAR DEFROSTERS ARE NOT OPERATIONAL. UNTIL FATALITIES OCCURRED AND REPORTED, CAR IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NOT OPERATED AT NIGHT OR UNDER BAD WEATHER. THIS PROBLEM IS KNOWN AS COMMON PROBLEM WITH THOUSANDS OF FIRST MODEL OF G35. UNFORTUNATELY, INFINITI WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT BUT WILLING TO FIX FOR HIGH COST. OWNERS TAKES THEIR OWN SAFETY RISKS IF CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY THE HIGH COST OF REPLACEMENT FROM INFINITI DEALERS. ALSO, THERE IS A RISK IF OWNERS TRY TO REPLACE THE CIRCUIT BY BUYING AND INSTALLING CHEAPER AFTERMARKET PANEL FROM ANY CAR RADIO/REPAIR SHOP. INFINITI SHOULD THINK ABOUT SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR REPUTATION. *TR
STEREO DOESN'T WORK ALL OF A SUDDEN...THEN THE AC TURNS ON HIGH LEVEL AT 60 DEGREES. ? IT DOESN'T TURN OFF. MY CONCERN IS THAT IN WINTER WHEN THE FRONT AND REAR WINDOWS ARE FOGGED UP I CANT HEAT THEM UP TO CLEAR THEM WHICH IS A SAFETY HAZARD..I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE'S A RECALL ON THE SEDAN FOR THE EXACT PROBLEM, BUT NOT THE COUPE.. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT CONTROLS THE VENTILATION SYSTEM HAS FAILED. THERE WAS A RECALL ON SOME 2003 G35 FOR THE IDENTICAL PROBLEM BUT THIS CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS OF SIMILAR FAILURES ON SIMILAR CARS FOR THIS YEAR. INFINITY CLAIMS THAT THE FAILURES WERE LIMITED TO CARS MANUFACTURED PRIOR TO THIS ONE. THIS CAR WAS BUILT IN SEPTEMBER THE RECALL WAS FOR CARS BUILT BEFORE THAT TIME. THE FAILURE IS SIGNIFICANT IN THAT THE DEFOGGING AND DEFROSTING SYSTEMS DO NOT OPERATE. *TR
I CAN NO LONGER CONTROL THE A/C OR DEFROST OF MY CAR, WHICH IMPAIRS MY ABILITY TO SEE OUT MY WINDSHIELDS. ALL THE BUTTONS IN THE CENTER CONSOLE ARE INOPERABLE BECAUSE OF A CIRCUIT BOARD MALFUNCTION. SINCE I CANNOT CONTROL THE DEFROST, I CANNOT PASS THE STATE SAFETY INSPECTION. DEALER SAYS IT WILL COST BETWEEN $1300-2000 TO FIX. THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY CAR IN 2003 AND INFINITI SAYS THEY REPLACED THE PART IN MY CAR SO THIS FIX WOULD BE AT MY OWN EXPENSE. THIS IS NOT A COMMON PROBLEM IN CARS UNDER 100K MILES -- ONLY IN THIS MAKE/MODEL. ONLINE DISCUSSION BOARDS ARE FULL OF 2003/2004 G35 OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE SAFETY HAZARD, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY $2K TO FIX A CIRCUIT BOARD PROBLEM. *JB
WE PURCHASED OUR SON AN INFINITI G35 COUPE FOR GRADUATION. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH OUR PURCHASE AND TO SEE HIS EYES LIGHT UP WAS PRICELESS. AFTER A WEEK OR TWO OF HAVING THE CAR, THE RADIO STOPPED AND THE ENTIRE ELECTRIC CONSOLE SHUT DOWN EXCEPT FOR THE AIR, WHICH IS ON FULL BLAST WITH NO OPTION TO TURN IT DOWN OR OFF. MY HUSBAND SPOKE TO ONE OF THE INFINITI DEALERS WHO TOLD HIM THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THAT MODEL FOR THE FOUR DOORS ONLY AND THE SEDAN WOULD BE ALMOST $2000 TO REPAIR. I CALLED CORPORATE AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND THOUGH THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE THROUGH NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS, THEY ARE BASICALLY NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR THE G35 COUPES. I SPOKE WITH KELLY WITH CONSUMERS AFFAIRS AND ASKED WHAT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DO SINCE THIS IS A HAZARD FOR OUR SON AND SHE SAID, "WELL THAT WOULD BE AT YOUR DISCRETION TO LET HIM DRIVE." CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? SHE SAID TAKE THE CAR TO OUR NEAREST INFINITI DEALERSHIP AND PAY FOR A "DIAGNOSIS TEST" AND THEN CALL THEM BACK, BUT, SINCE THIS IS OUT OF WARRANTY THERE IS PROBABLY NOTHING WE WILL DO....HOW CAN THEY REFUSE TO DEAL WITH A MAJOR PROBLEM LIKE THIS AND THEN TRY TO STICK THE REPAIR COST TO US?? THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS THE AIR CANNOT BE TURNED DOWN OR OFF AND IS CONSTANTLY BLOWING INTO THE DRIVERS EYES WHICH IMPEDES THEIR VISION. IT ALSO AFFECTS THE DEFROST AND HEAT WHICH IS INOPERABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 03V455000 ( ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING ). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 163,000. *TR
VEHICLE MOMENTARILY LOST POWER AND DASH INSTRUMENT LIGHTS WENT ON (SLIP, VDC OFF, SERVICE ENGINE SOON). THE IPDM (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE) WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER IN DECEMBER 2011 FOR THE SAME PROBLEMS. MY RESEARCH REVEALED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL AND YEAR. SEPARATELY, HIGH MOUNT REAR STOP LIGHT NO LONGER WORKS. RESEARCH INDICATES THIS IS ALSO A COMMON PROBLEM. *TR
CONTROLS FOR AUDIO, INCLUDING ON STEERING WHEEL, AND CONTROLS FOR TEMP DO NOT WORK. THIS CAR WAS MADE ONE MONTH AFTER CUT OFF DATE FOR RECALL ON THIS COMPONENT. I WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS REPAIR FROM INFINITI AT NO CHARGE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR HAD FAILED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 03V455000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 173,148.
AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I WAS DRIVING IT AROUND FOR ABOUT A WEEK. I CAME TO A STOP ONE DAY AND MY OIL LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK IT. THE DIPSTICK IS VERY HARD TO READ, UNLIKE MOST CARS, LONG STORY SHORT THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED IT. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THEY DID WHEN I GOT IT BECAUSE OF THE COLOR. EVER SINCE I HAVE BEEN KEEPING TRACK OF THE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE THAT I HAVE BEEN HAVING. I HAVE A AFTERMARKET WARRANTY BUT THEY ARE NO LONGER HELPING ME WITH MY ISSUES (OR FEEL AS THOUGH I AM NOT BEING HELPED) WITH MY CAR AT SUCH LOW MILES I HAVE LOOKED AND THERE ARE SEVERAL ISSUES WITH VQ35DE MOTORS WITH OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUES THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I HAVE AND AM HAVING SEVER ISSUES WITH OIL CONSUMPTION. I JUST HAS A COMPRESSION TEST AND I HAVE #'S BUT I HAVE TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP, THEY ALSO JUST DID A LEAK DOWN TEST TO SEE IF IT MIGHT BE THE RINGS JUST IN CASE THE COMPRESSION TEST DIDN'T GET IT. ** I NOW CURRENTLY BURN 1.2 QUARTS OF OIL IN 800 MILES. WAS THE LAST AND LATEST OIL CONSUMPTION TEST THAT THE DEALERSHIP HAS RUN. AFTER PASSING BOTH TESTS. THE MOST I HAVE SEEN MY CAR USE IS 3QTS IN 3K. NOT GOOOD! THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CENTER CONSOLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 92,000.
THIRD BRAKE LED LAMP STOPS WORKING AND RANDOMLY COMES BACK ON. THIS ALSO HAPPENS IN ALMOST EVERY OTHER G35 SEDAN I HAVE SEEN TO DATE. *TR
AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING CONTROLS RUNNING FULL BLAST WITH ZERO ABILITY TO CONTROL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS WINDOWS CANNOT BE DEFROSTED IN THE WINTER. RADIO NOT WORKING. INFINITI CORPORATION IS NOT WARRANTING THIS ISSUE, BUT REFERS CUSTOMERS TO LOCAL DEALERSHIPS. *TR
COMING TO A STOP ON AN INTERSTATE EXIT RAMP, THE CAR SLOWED TO ABOUT 25MPH WITH NORMAL BRAKING AT WHICH TIME THE BRAKE STOPPED SLOWING THE CAR. I PRESSED THE PETAL ON TO THE FLOOR AND THE ANTILOCK BRAKE MECHANISM STOPPED THE CAR IN ABOUT 150 FEET. JUST BEFORE STOPPING, THE CAR LURCHED FORWARDS A FEW TIMES. I HAD NOT BEEN REPEATEDLY BRAKING ON THE INTERSTATE: A CAUSE OF BRAKE FLUID BOILING WHICH HAS BEEN OFFERED AS AN EXPLANATION OF THIS FAILURE IN OTHER INCIDENTS WITH THIS AND THE 350Z. *TR
STEREO AUDIO CUT OFF AND A/C TURNED ON TO FULL BLAST. CONSOLE CONTROLS AND TEMPERATURE CONTROLS STOPPED WORKING. THIS ISSUE HAS MY MOTOR RUNNING HARDER BC THE A/C IS ON CAUSING MY CAR TO OVERHEAT WHILE DRIVING UPHILL. EVER SINCE THE CONTROLS HAVE NOT WORKED CONSTANTLY FOR OVER A YEAR. *TR
THE CONTROLS ON MY CENTER CONSOLE WHERE THE A/C AND RADIO ARE STOPPED WORKING. THE RADIO TURNED OFF BY ITSELF AND CAME BACK ON LESS THEN A MINUTE LATER BUT NONE OF THE BUTTONS WERE ILLUMINATING. MY HEAT WENT FROM 77 DEGREES ON THE LOWEST SETTING ON THE FACE VENTS, TO 87 DEGREES ON "AUTO A/C" TO THE HIGHEST SETTING AND SWITCHED TO THE FOOT VENTS. IT HAS DONE THIS BEFORE, BUT IT HAS ALWAYS "COME BACK TO LIFE" IF YOU WILL, WITHIN 10 MINUTES. IT HAS NOW BEEN LIKE THIS FOR FOUR DAYS, BLASTING COLD AIR INTO MY CAR ON 33 DEGREE DAYS. I UNDERSTAND INFINITI RECALLED THE BOARD THAT THEY POORLY DESIGNED ONLY ON THE SEDANS. THIS BOARD DESIGN IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE, LIVING IN THE MIDWEST, AND BEING MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. WHEN WINTER HITS, AND TEMPERATURES REALLY FALL, AND MY CAR IS ONLY BLOWING OUT COLD AIR, AND WORST OF ALL ON MY FEET, I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DEFROST MY WINDOWS PROPERLY. IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME WHY INFINITI WOULD RECALL A PART IN ONE CAR THAT IS THE EXACT SAME IN ANOTHER IT JUST HAS TWO DOORS. ITS LIKE PAYING SOMEONE TO PAINT THE INSIDE OF YOUR HOUSE. THE REASON YOU CHOSE THEM IS BECAUSE YOU FOUND THEM TO BE LOYAL AND TRUSTWORTHY. COME TO FIND OUT THE PAINTER ONLY PAINTED HALF OF YOUR HOUSE AND TOOK A FEW VALUABLES ON HIS WAY OUT. THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED. THE BLOWER WENT TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND COULD NOT BE ADJUSTED USING THE CONTROLS. THE DISPLAY PANEL FOR THE RADIO ALSO WENT BLANK. TRIED TO TURNED EVERYTHING OFF BUT THE CONTROLS DID NOT WORK, THEREFORE HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF. ONCE THE CARE WAS OFF I TURN IT BACK ON AND THE FAN BLOWER WAS AT MEDIUM, AND I WAS STILL NOT ABLE TO ADJUST THE TEMPERATURE, DEFROSTER OR OTHER CONTROLS INCLUDING THE RADIO FROM THE PANEL. I WAS ABLE TO ADJUST THE RADIO FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. THE NEXT DAY EVERYTHING BEGAN TO WORK. APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH LATER THE SAME THING OCCURRED LASTING ABOUT TWO DAYS BEFORE EVERYTHING BEGAN TO OPERATED AGAIN. *TR

I HAD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A CROSSWALK. MY FOOT WAS FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE AND THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE. SUDDENLY THE CAR JUMPED FORWARD IN SMALL INCREMENTS WITH A SOUND INDICATING THAT THE ANT-LOCK BRAKES WERE RELEASING AND APPLYING THE BRAKES IN RAPID SUCCESSION. I STOOD ON THE BRAKES AND THE CAR STOPPED ONLY TO REPEAT THE PROBLEM ONCE MORE WHILE I WAS STANDING ON THE BRAKES. IN ALL THE CAR MOVED FORWARD ABOUT A FOOT. THERE WAS A PEDESTRIAN IN THE CROSSWALK DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY CAR AT THE TIME AND A SECOND ROUND OF THIS PROBLEM WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE CAR TO HIT THE PEDESTRIAN. *TR
THE REAR SHELF BRAKE LIGHT HAS STOPPED WORKING. THIS IS AN LED LIGHT THAT SHOULD LAST A QUITE A BIT LONGER IF NOT LIFETIME. OBVIOUSLY, THE CAR WAS DESIGNED SO THIS PART DOES NOT HAVE TO BE REPLACED. TO REPLACE THIS LIGHT, THE ENTIRE BACK SEAT AND REAR SHELF TRIM AND BACK SIDE TRIM MUST BE REMOVED. THE LIGHT ITSELF COSTS $150.00 AND THE DEALER CHARGES $500.00 TO REPLACE IT. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS 2003 G35S WITH THE NON FUNCTIONING BRAKE LIGHT, MOST LIKELY DUE TO THE EXPENSIVE REPAIR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND CLEARLY A PRODUCT DEFECT. *TR

SINCE I BOUGHT MY G35 COUPE, I'VE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW, CURRENTLY STOPPED WORKING, IT WOULDN'T GO DOWN. IT WOULD BE MY 4TH TIME I REPLACED WINDOW MOTOR, IS NOT CHEAP. THE PARTS DEPARTMENT SAID THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO REPLACE AS YOU HAVE TO REMOVE BOTH THE TRUNK LINING AND REAR SEAT TO REPLACE THE LED LAMP. THE LABOR TO REPLACE THE LAMP IS $200.00! I HAVE SINCE NOTICED THAT ABOUT ONE HALF OF THE INFINITI G35 AND G37 MODELS I SEE ON THE ROAD HAVE THEIR HIGH MOUNT THIRD BRAKE LIGHT INOPERATIVE. THIS IS WITH OUT A DOUBT DUE TO THE EXTREMELY HIGH COST AND DIFFICULTY TO REPLACE WHAT SHOULD BE A SIMPLE REPLACEMENT LAMP. *TR
ENGINE BECAME INOPERABLE WHILE DRIVING CAUSING A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON SIMULTANEOUSLY (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, SLIP LIGHT, VDC LIGHT) AT THE TIME. CAR WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED WITH SOME TROUBLE. PROBLEM REPEATED ITSELF (STALLING, LOSS OF POWER, STARTING DIFFICULTY) OVER NEXT COUPLE DAYS, ALTHOUGH WARNING LIGHTS NEVER WENT OFF. INDEPENDENT MECHANIC IDENTIFIED PROBLEM AS CAM POSITION SENSOR FAILURES & ADVISED THERE WAS A NHTSA SAFETY RECALL (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID 03V455000) FOR THE PROBLEM WITH 2003 G35S, BUT THAT MY VIN WAS OUTSIDE THE CAMPAIGN RECALL VINS. HE SUGGESTED I CONTACTED INFINITI. I CONTACTED BOTH DEALER AND INFINITI NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO ACKNOWLEDGED THERE WAS A CAM POSITION SENSOR PROBLEM WITH 2003 G35S, BUT BECAUSE MY VIN WAS NOT IN THE CAMPAIGN THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING TO ADDRESS THE SAFETY ISSUE. I HAD THE DEALER REPLACE THE CAM POSITION SENSORS AT MY EXPENSE (ABOUT $1500). THERE ARE A NUMBER OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FILED WITH THE NHTSA ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WITH NO APPARENT RESOLUTION WITH INFINITI. THE RECALL CAMPAIGN 03V455000 NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED TO COVER ALL PROBLEM VEHICLES. *TR
