MY AC/BOSE STEREO SYSTEM IS INOPERABLE. I CANNOT TURN THE SYSTEM ON AT ALL. THE A/C IS ALSO STUCK ON AND I CAN'T CONTROL IT. *TR
THE DEFROST NO LONGER WORKS. IT HAS SHORT CIRCUITED THE HEAT AND AC UNIT. THE ENTIRE UNIT CONTROLS THE RADIO AND CD PLAYER. CAN'T CONTROL ANY OF THESE FUNCTIONS. MANY PEOPLE WITH THE 2003 INFINITY G 35 HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. *TR
OIL CONSUMPTION, INFINITI G35 COUPE. IT APPEARS THAT THE ENGINE CONSUMES A LOT OF OIL AFTER 1,000 MILES, OCCURS ALL THE TIME. I KEEP ADDING OIL AND CHECKING CONTINUOUSLY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35 SEDAN. THE CONTACT HAD THE CIRCUIT BOARD REPLACED IN 2003 ACCORDING TO A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN DUE TO MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL FAILURES. A FEW YEARS AFTER THE REPAIR, THE DEFROST AND RADIO ALSO FAILED. SHE NOTIFIED THE DEALER AND WAS ADVISED BY A TECHNICIAN THAT SHE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE RADIO. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE BECAUSE SHE SUSPECTS THAT THE TECHNICIANS HAVE INCORRECTLY IDENTIFIED THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
CONTROLS ON CONSOLE FOR HEATING/AIR/DEFROSTER AND RADIO FAILED & REMAIN INOPERABLE. HEAT/AIR ARE LOCKED ON AT 75 DEGREES & CANNOT BE ADJUSTED. CANNOT TURN ON DEFROSTER. AS A CONSEQUENCE CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE WHEN DEFROSTER IS NECESSARY. NUMEROUS SIMILAR COMPLAINTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED TO NHTSA AND ARE ON THIS SITE. IN FEB 2003 INFINITI DID A VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN TO REPLACE A CIRCUIT BOARD REGARDING THIS PROBLEM FOR EARLY 2003 VEHICLES, BUT MY VEHICLE AND UNTOLD OTHERS WERE NOT COVERED AS VIN WAS SUBSEQUENT TO CARS COVERED BY RECALL. INFINITI NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS SAFETY ISSUE AND BE SUBJECT TO A RECALL TO REPLACE ALL DEFECTIVE CIRCUIT BOARDS. *TR
OWNED A 2003 INFINITI I35. IT BEGAN TO STALL WHILE RUNNING, AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS, STREET SPEEDS, AT STOP LIGHTS. MECHANIC THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY BUT PROBLEMS CONTINUED. WE SOLD VEHICLE DUE TO ISSUES AND NEEDING RELIABLE VEHICLE. TWO MONTHS AFTER SELLING IT, OUR OTHER 2003 INFINITI, A G35 COUPE, BEGAN HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. TOOK TO INFINITI DEALER AND THEY STATED THE ERROR WAS P0340 AND CAM SHAFT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, $600. I DID RESEARCH AND FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL BUT WAS TOLD BY DEALER MY VIN DID NOT FIT WITHIN RECALL NUMBERS. IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF RESEARCH ON WEB, I FOUND PROBABLY 10-15 OTHER OWNERS OF G35 COUPES THAT HAVE THIS ISSUE AND INFINITI IS SAYING, SORRY, BUT YOUR VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. I CALLED INFIINITI, THEY STATED THAT EXACTLY AND THERE WAS NO REMEDY OTHER THAN PAYING FOR REPAIR OURSELVES. IT IS A SCARY, DANGEROUS DEFECT THAT OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT CORRECTED, OR ANOTHER ISSUES AROSE, WITH THE RECALL. A G35 COUPE IS A SMALL, LOW-RIDING CAR, AND I HAVE A CHILD IN THE BACK. IF YOU ARE GOING AT INTERSTATE SPEED WITH A SEMI ON YOUR TAIL AND YOUR CAR STALLS, YOUR CHILD IN THE BACK, AND POSSIBLY YOURSELF, WOULD NOT SURVIVE THIS CRASH. INFINITI SAID, YES, THEY DID HAVE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, BUT STILL WOULD NOT REMEDY. I ASKED IF A PERSON HAS TO DIE BEFORE THEY ADMIT THERE IS A DEFECT THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. UNFORTUNATELY WE NO LONGER HAVE THE I35 TO PROVE THAT HAD THE SAME ISSUE. WE ARE GETTING THE G35 REPAIRED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED BUT I AM FURIOUS THAT THIS IS NOT A COVERED REPAIR BY INFINITI. I WILL TRY TO RETAIN THE PART TO THE G35. *TR
2003 INFINITI G35 SEDAN BATTERY WAS DEAD AFTER NOT STARTING VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN 3 DAYS. THE CD PLAYER IS THE CULPRIT AND THE "EJECT" CONTINUES TO CYCLE EVEN WITH THE CAR TURNED OFF. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN 4 MONTHS THAT THE NEW BATTERY IS DEAD AFTER SITTING FOR A FEW DAYS. *TR
MY 2003 INFINITY G35 SEDAN'S HEATER WILL STAY ON HIGH WITH THE RADIO AND HEATING CONTROL REMOVED. I CAN ACCESS THE RADIO THROUGH THE STEREO, BUT HAVE NO DASHBOARD CONTROLS OF THE RADIO OR AC AT ALL. *TR DEALERSHIP WANTS "PRE-PAID" A $700 AUDIO FINISHER/CIRCUIT BOARD. WHEN THE PART CAME IN, THEY WOULD INSTALL IT, AND IF THE RADIO/CD PLAYER WAS DEFECTIVE, IT WOULD FRY THE FINISHER IMMEDIATELY, BUT THEN THEY WOULD KNOW THAT THE RADIO WAS BAD, AND WOULD SEND IT OUT FOR A RE-BUILD FOR APPROXIMATELY $350 AND TWO WEEKS WORTH OF WAITING WITH NO TUNES OR VENTILATION SYSTEM. PLUS LABOR, OF COURSE.
I OWN A 2003 INFINITI G35 SEDAN V6 BEGINNING IN JUNE 2009 MY RADIO WOULD RANDOMLY TURN OFF AND MY AC WOULD KICK ON FULL BLAST. IN JULY IT GOT WORSE AND ULTIMATELY I LOST ALL CONTROLS OF RADIO AND AIR CONTROLS INCLUDING THE DEFROSTER. MAJOR PROBLEM HERE IS I HAVE NO CONTROL OF A/C WHICH RUNS MY GAS DOWN AND NO CONTROL OF THE DEFROSTER WHICH IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING DUE TO THE COLD A MOIST MONTHS. I CAN'T AFFORD THE COST OF FIXING THE RADIO. APPARENTLY THE REASON FOR THIS ISSUE IS A FAULTY RADIO. I DON'T UNDERSTAND IF MY RADIO DIES WHY SHOULD MY DEFROSTER NOT BE ACCESSIBLE. *TR
RADIO AND HEATER NOT WORKING. *TR
VEHICLE WOULD RANDOMLY STALL OUT AT 50 MPH+ AND CONTROL OF POWER STEERING WOULD BE LOST (BATTERY LIGHT & VDC LIGHT WOULD COME ON DASH), RENDERING THE VEHICLE A DANGEROUSLY FAST MOVING LEAD SLED. POWER TO THE VEHICLE WOULD RESUME AFTER A FEW MOMENTS. MANY TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS POTENTIALLY DEADLY PROBLEM YIELDED NO EXPLANATION OR FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. AFTER CONDUCTING MY OWN RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, IT WAS FINALLY DETERMINED TO BE CAUSED BY A MALFUNCTIONING CRANK SHAFT SENSOR. THE SENSOR WOULD GET TOO HOT AND SHUT DOWN, CAUSING THE LOSS OF POWER TO THE VEHICLE. AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF COOLING, POWER WOULD RESUME. APPARENTLY A TSE BULLETIN WAS ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT IT DID NOT INCLUDE THE VIN FOR MY CAR SINCE IT WAS PRODUCED LATER IN THE MODEL YEAR. THE SENSOR (A $40 COST PART!) WAS REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE AT THE DEALERSHIP ONLY AFTER PUTTING UP A FIGHT. INFINITI/NISSAN NEEDS TO RE-EVALUATE THE SCOPE OF AFFECTED VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THIS POTENTIALLY DEADLY ISSUE OR BE HELD RESPONSIBLE SHOULD SOMEONE DIE WHEN THEIR CAR STALLS OUT AT 65MPH. *TR
THE DISPLAY ON MY RADIO STARTED TO GO OUT AND MADE IT SO I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE RADIO AND THE AC/HEATER. IT WENT OFF AND ON RANDOMLY FOR THE PAST YEAR, NOW MY RADIO IS COMPLETELY DEAD AND STILL HAVE NO CONTROL OVER MY A/C CONTROLS SO IT BLOWS AT MY FEET. NOW THAT TEMP. OUTSIDE IS GETTING INTO THE 30'S, AND I NEED MY DEFROST TO BE ABLE TO SEE THROUGH MY WINDSHIELD BUT CAN'T CONTROL IT... *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35. THE CONTACT STATED HIS RADIO, HEATER, AND AIR CONDITIONER FAILED DUE TO A DEFECTIVE CIRCUIT. DURING THE WINTER MONTHS, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DEFROST THE WINDOWS PROPERLY WHICH CAUSED UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE CIRCUIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 113,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35. WHILE THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE, THE AIR CONDITIONER WOULD AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATE WITHOUT INTENT AND FAILED TO DEACTIVATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZE DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE RADIO WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PREVIOUSLY UNDER A MANUFACTURER VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN PERTAINING TO THE AUDIO FINISHER CIRCUIT BOARD. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A CIRCUIT SHORTAGE CAUSING FAILURE WITH THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
I OWN A 2003 INFINITY G35 SEDAN. THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM OFTEN TURNS ON BY IT SELF. DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER THIS CAUSES THE WINDSHIELD TO FOG SO IT IS HAD TO SEE WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE SEEN ON THE ONLINE FORUMS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALERS WANT TO CHARGE $ 1,200 TO REPLACE THESE UNITS. *TR

MY 2003 INFINITY G35 HAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH THE RADIO WHICH CAUSES THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM TO FREEZE UP DEFROSTER WILL NOT WORK FRONT OR REAR CAUSING FOGGING WHEN TEMPERATURE CHANGES THIS IMPAIRS MY VISION AND CREATES A DANGEROUS CONDITION INFINITY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO FIX THIS THEY RECALLED SOME VEHICLES SO THEIR AWARE OF THIS CONDITION. *TR

G35 INFINITI-ELECTRICAL ISSUES SUCH AS RADIO NOT WORKING, CAR LOCKING BY ITSELF-WIFE WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY AND HEATER DEFROST STOPPED WORKING, WINDSHIELD FOGGED UP AND HAD TO PULL TO SIDE OF FREEWAY, COULD NO LONGER DRIVE SAFELY-CALLED DEALER $900 TO REPAIR CIRCUIT BOARD AND REPLACE RADIO. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35. WHILE APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION AT SPEEDS OF 55 MPH AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ABNORMALLY ACCELERATE. SHE ATTEMPTED TO APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO NO AVAIL. A PEDESTRIAN WAS IN HER PATH WHEN SHE FORCED THE VEHICLE INTO THE PARK POSITION TO AVOID HITTING HIM. IMMEDIATELY, THERE WAS A SUDDEN AND ABNORMAL INCREASE IN THE ENGINE RPMS ACCOMPANIED BY A LOUD NOISE. SHE SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND WITHIN A FEW MOMENTS, THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING NORMALLY. THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
I HAVE 2003 INFINITI G35 SEDAN. DRIVER'S SEAT ROCKED BACK-AND-FORTH. TOOK IT TO INFINITI DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLY HAD SEPARATED DUE TO FAULTY WELD JOINTS! DEALER STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLY SEAT WAS NOT COVERED BY ANY WARRANTY OR RECALL. DEALER ALSO STATED THAT IF I DIDN'T PAY THE $1,100.00 TO HAVE THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLY REPLACED AND I WAS IN ANY KIND OF CAR ACCIDENT, THE FAULTY DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLY WOULD CAUSE THE SEAT TO BECOME COMPLETELY DETACHED FROM THE CAR AND CAUSE THE SEAT TO BE THROWN ABOUT INSIDE THE CAR. I THEREFORE PAID TO HAVE THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLY REPLACED. HOWEVER, A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I NOTICED THAT THE ROCKING IS STARTING AGAIN! CLEARLY THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLIES THAT ARE COMING DIRECTLY FROM NISSAN, WHICH OWNS INFINITI! IN FACT, ACCORDING TO NHTSA WEBSITE, OTHER NISSAN CARS FROM 2003, LIKE THE 350Z ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SEATS! CLEARLY THIS IS WORTHY OF SOME TIME OF INVESTIGATION OR RECALL SINCE THE NHTSA HAS ON FILE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS AND SERVICE BULLETINS ON THIS SAME ISSUE FROM NISSAN CARS! *CN
THE TRANSMISSION IN MY 2003 G35 INFINITI FAILED AFTER ONLY 76,000 MILES. I CONTACTED INFINITI AND WAS DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE. I HAD THE REPAIRS COMPLETED FOR $4,000 PLUS AFTER NEGOTIATING WITH THE DEALERSHIP. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN SUCH A MAJOR EQUIPMENT FAILURE AFTER ON A LUXURY CAR. *TR
I WAS GETTING OF THE FREEWAY WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY 2003 INFINITI G35 TURNED OFF. WHEN I TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR THE CAR STRUGGLED TO START EVENTUALLY DID. LATER THAT NIGHT THE CAR WAS DRIVING FINE. THE NEXT DAY I WAS DRIVING THE CAR I WAS TURNING ON A INTERSECTION AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN ON ME AGAIN ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.MY SLIP LIGHT. VCH LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS TURNED ON. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC HE CHECKED IT WITH THE COMPUTER GOT THE CODES P0011 AND P0340 CAM POSITION SENSOR AND CRANK POSITION SENSOR. I TOLD ME THAT THE CAR MIGHT HAVE A DEFECT BECAUSE THAT YEAR AND MODEL WAS KNOWN TO HAVE THIS ISSUE. I CHECKED THE INTERNET AND I FOUND THE RECALL NHTSA # 03V455000. I CALLED INFINITI GAVE THEM MY VIN NUMBER AND THEY SAID MY CAR WAS NOT AFFECTED BY THAT RECALL. MY CALL CLEARLY HAS ALL THE SYMPTOMS STATED IN THE RECALL. THIS IS NOT FAR INFINITI DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS DIFFICULT TO RESTART. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS FUEL LEAKING AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT PROPERLY REFUEL. THE CHECK ENGINE, THE VDC, AND THE SLIP WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL FILLER HOSE WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 03V455000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AND 05V555000(FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
PROBLEM STARTED WITH RADIO NOT DISPLAYING ANY LIGHTS OR SCRIPT ACROSS DISPLAY. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK THE RADIO WOULD NOT COME ON UNTIL THE ENGINE HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR A FEW MINUTES AND STILL WOULD NOT DISPLAY ANY LIGHTS THE WHOLE TIME. A FEW DAYS LATER THE TEMPERATURE CONTROLS STOPPED BEING ACCESSIBLE. THE BUTTONS FOR THE RADIO AND THE TEMP CONTROLS DON'T WORK. THE TEMPERATURE NOW DOES WHATEVER IT WANTS BASED ON THE AUTO CONTROLS. IT WILL RANDOMLY CHANGE WHETHER THE AIR BLOWS FROM THE FLOOR LEVEL OR ON TOP, AND CHANGE FORCE OF AIR THAT BLOWS OUT. THERE IS NO WAY OF SETTING DEFROST. THE ONLY WAY ANYTHING CAN BE CHANGED WITH THE RADIO IS THROUGH THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. AROUND SEPTEMBER OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR THE CD PLAYER STOPPED WORKING AS WELL. IT WOULD RUN CONSTANTLY AS IF TRYING TO READ THE DISC EVEN WHEN THE KEYS WERE OUT OF THE IGNITION AND WON'T EVER PLAY. IT ALSO WON'T EJECT THE CDS. *TR
03-06 INFINITI G35 SEDANS HAVE ISSUES REGARDING THE REAR, CENTER HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT. THE UNITS ARE PRONE TO PREMATURE LED FAILURE, AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE UNIT NOT WORKING AT ALL, OR WORKING ONLY INFREQUENTLY DUE TO SOME SORT OF WIRING OR CIRCUIT BOARD ISSUE. NOT ONLY DOES THIS ISSUE EXIST ON MY OWN CAR (2003 G35 SEDAN) BUT I HAVE WITNESSED THE SAME PROBLEM ON SEVERAL OTHER G35 SEDANS. BECAUSE THIS ISSUE COMES AND GOES, AND THE LIGHT MAY STOP WORKING AND THEN START AGAIN RANDOMLY, IT IS VERY POSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE TO BE UNAWARE OF THE ISSUE ON THEIR VEHICLE. THIS IS ALSO VERY MUCH A SAFETY CONCERN, AS IT INCREASES THE CHANCE THAT ANOTHER VEHICLE APPROACHING FROM THE REAR WILL NOT NOTICE THE BRAKE LIGHTS WITHOUT THE CENTER LIGHT, RESULTING IN A GREATER CHANCE OF COLLISIONS. *TR
LED THIRD BRAKE LIGHT FAILS TO LIGHT. APPARENTLY THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THE 2003- 2004 G35 AND IS CAUSED BY A FAULTY CHIP. AN AFTERMARKET COMPANY IS REPAIRING THE BRAKE LIGHT BOARDS AS INFINITI IS CHARGING OVER $400 FOR THE REPAIR AND DENIES IT IS A PROBLEM. THIS IS REGARDING MY INFINITI G35 SEDAN. WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPPED AND ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS CAME ON. I PULLED THE CAR OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND STARTED THE CAR AGAIN. AT THIS POINT, THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO AN INFINITI DEALER 5 MILES AWAY, WITH THE ENGINE STOPPING DURING OPERATION SEVERAL TIMES. FORTUNATELY THERE WAS NO CRASH AND NOBODY WAS INJURED OR OTHER DAMAGE. AT THE DEALER, THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FAULT CRANK POSITION SENSOR, WHICH WAS A KNOWN ISSUE ON MY CAR. HOWEVER, MY VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE PREVIOUS RECALL CAMPAIGN (01V35700) FOR THIS ISSUE. THE DEALER SERVICED MY VEHICLE BY REPLACING THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR ASSEMBLY AT A COST OF $334.65. I HAVE CONTACTED INFINITI AND THEY WERE UNWILLING TO REIMBURSE MY SERVICE UNDER THE EARLIER RECALL CAMPAIGN. I AM WRITING TO NOTIFY NHTSA OF THIS INCIDENT SO IT IS IN YOUR DATABASE. I AM ALSO REQUESTING THAT YOU REVIEW THE INCIDENTS OF FAILED CRANK POSITION SENSORS IN INFINITI CARS AND CONSIDER REINITIATING A RECALL CAMPAIGN. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WELDING JOINT WAS COMING APART AND DAMAGING THE BASE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENTIRE BASE WAS UNSAFE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER BEING REPAIRED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THE VEHICLE, BUT THE NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 46,000. THE CONSUMER STATED IN JANUARY 20009, THE DRIVER'S SEAT BEGAN TO ROCK BACK FORTH WHENEVER HE ACCELERATED FROM A COMPLETE STOP. AT FIRST, THE ROCKING WAS ISOLATED TO WHEN ACCELERATION OCCURRED FROM A COMPLETE STOP. HOWEVER, AFTER TWO WEEKS THE ROCKING WOULD OCCUR WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF ABOUT 70 MPH. EVENTUALLY, THE CONDITION OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT BECAME SO SEVERE THAT THE SEAT COULD BE ROCKED BACK AND FORTH WITHOUT ANY PERSON SEATED IN IT. THE DRIVER'S SEAT ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AT THE CONSUMERS EXPENSE. UPDATED 02/09/11 THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE WINDOW DEFROSTER SUDDENLY SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN. AT THE SAME TIME, THE AIR CONDITIONER RESET ITSELF TO 60 DEGREES AND TURNED ITSELF ON AT MAXIMUM FORCE. THE LIGHTS ON THE CLIMATE CONTROL PANEL AND RADIO PANEL WENT DARK. ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO SHUT OFF THE AIR CONDITIONER AND RESTART THE WINDOW DEFROSTED, BUT THE CLIMATE CONTROL BUTTON WERE NON-RESPONSIVE. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ONLY WAY TO CONTROL THE RADIO WAS THROUGH THE CONTROL BUTTONS LOCATED ON THE STEERING WHEEL. UNLIKE THE RADIO THERE WAS NO SECONDARY CLIMATE CONTROL BUTTON. WITHIN 30 SECONDS OF THE WINDOW DEFROSTER SHUTTING OFF, ALL OF THE WINDOWS INSIDE THE VEHICLE BECAME FOGGY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THE AUDIO FINISHER CIRCUIT BOARD WAS DEFECTIVE AND THAT ALONG WITH THE RADIO WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $ 1,329.01. THE DEALER STATED THE RADIO AND CLIMATE CONTROLS WERE BOTH INTERTWINED WITH THE AUDIO FINISHER CIRCUIT BOARD. UPDATED 09/10/12 THE CONSUMER STATED THE AUDIO FINISHER BOARD WAS REPLACED. 2003 INFINITI G35 COUPE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT IS OUT (INSIDE GLASS). THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE G35. IT NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO NISSAN OF AMERICA'S ATTENTION. THIS COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. INFINITI G35 COUPE DRIVER SEAT BELT DEFECTIVE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER IN FRESNO CA IN OCT. 08. THEY TOLD ME IT IS FINE AND A FEW DAYS LATER IT BROKE AT THE ANCHOR BOLT. I HAD TO TOE IT BACK TO THE DEALER AT MY EXPENSE AND THEY REPLACED THE BOLT. IN OCT. WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO THAT DEALER TO CHECK THE SEAT BELTS THEY TOLD ME THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT IN FRONT IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS REPLACED. WHEN WE TOOK IT BACK TO REPLACE IT THEY TOLD ME IT IS WORKING FINE NOW AND DOES NOT NEED REPLACEMENT. MY AC/RADIO WOULD TURN OFF AND ON BY ITSELF. I WOULD HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE HEAT/AC TEMPERATURE IN MY CAR NOR THE FAN LEVELS. SOMETIMES WHEN THIS PROBLEM WAS OCCURRING, I COULD CONTROL THE RADIO WITH THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS. THIS STARTED IN THE FALL OF 08'. AS TIME WENT ON THE PROBLEM BECAME MORE FREQUENT AND WOULD ONLY BE CORRECTED IF I TURNED THE CAR OFF THEN ON AGAIN. SINCE EARLY FALL 09' I NO LONGER HAVE ANY CONTROL OVER THE AC/RADIO AT ALL. MY AC UNIT HAS BEEN STUCK AT 75 DEGREES AND CONTINUOUSLY BLOWS AIR, AT DIFFERENT LEVELS. SOMETIMES IT'S AT HIGH AND I HAVE TO OPEN A WINDOW TO BRING COOL AIR IN AND SOMETIMES IT RUNS AT A LOW FAN SPEED. LAST SUMMER IT WAS NOT THAT BAD BECAUSE THE PROBLEM WAS NOT PERMANENT PROBLEM AT THAT POINT, IT WAS JUST MORE OF AN ANNOYANCE. THIS YEAR I FEAR THAT I COULD BE IN TROUBLE DUE TO THE TEMPERATURE BEING STUCK AT 75 DEGREES AND THE HOT TEMPERATURES HERE IN PHOENIX, MY FEAR IS THAT I WILL EXPERIENCE HEAT EXHAUSTION AS I AM DRIVING AND POSSIBLY BECOME ILL OR PASS OUT WHILE DRIVING.

I PRESENTLY OWN A 2003 INFINIT G35. THE ENTIRE CLIMATE CONTROL FUNCTIONS AND DASH LIGHTS DO NOT FUNCTION BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH THE RADIO. A RECALL WAS INITIATED FOR THE "AUDIO FINISHER CIRCUIT BOARD" BY INFINITI BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THESE ITEMS WILL SUDDENLY STOP WORKING WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENED TO ME WHILE DRIVING. THESE ITEMS DO NOT FUNCTION AT PRESENT. AN INFINITI DEALER INFOMRED OF THE RECALL AND ALSO INFOMRED ME THAT MY VEHICLE HAD ALREADY HAD THE CIRCUIT BOARD REPLACED AND THAT THE ONLY OTHER PROBLEM THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS WOULD BE THE RADIO.
