THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER AGREED TO REPLACE THE SEAT BELTS IN THE VEHICLE, BUT HAS NOT MADE CONTACT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE CONSUMER STATED THE ROOF LEAKED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO FLOOD AND DAMAGING THE WINDOWS AND SPEAKERS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS SON WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE SIDE-CURTAIN AIR BAG INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED WITHOUT THE VEHICLE BEING INVOLVED IN A CRASH. AFTER THE FAILURE, SEVERAL ELECTRONIC GAUGES INSIDE THE VEHICLE CEASED TO OPERATE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WERE NOT DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER NORTH SIDE JEEP LOCATED AT 812 NORTHSIDE DR, SUMMERSVILLE, WV 26651, WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
THE 3RD ROW SEATBELTS CLICK AS IF THEY'RE LATCHING AND DO NOT LOCK. THIS ALLOWS THEM TO POP OUT WHEN UNEXPECTED AND WOULD BE DANGEROUS IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS 3ROW PRETTY MUCH FITS CHILDREN WHO MAY NOT RECOGNIZE THE PROBLEM. I PAID TO REPLACE MINE AND WITHIN 4 MONTHS THE NEW ONES I BOUGHT FROM DEALER BROKE. IT APPEARS THE FAULTY DESIGN OF THE FOLDING SEAT IS ONE THING THAT BREAKS THE SEATBELTS LATCHES. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND JUST SELL THE VEHICLE TO SOME UNSUSPECTING PERSON. BELOW I PUT ROUGHLY THE DATE I FOUND IT, BUT HAD BOUGHT THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS ALREADY BROKEN. I JUST DIDN'T KNOW IT OR KNOW TO CHECK IT.
TWO SEAT BELT BUCKLES IN THE BACK SEAT ARE BROKEN. THERE SHOULD BE TWO RED PLASTIC GUIDES THAT GUIDE THE LATCH PLATE INTO THE BUCKLE AND ONE GUIDE IS MISSING ON BOTH OUTER SEATING POSITIONS IN THE BACK SEAT. I CAN SEND PICTURES IF NEEDED. MY DAUGHTER HAS THE SAME VEHICLE AND IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. I WILL BE REPORTING HERS UNDER HER VIN NUMBER.
SEATBELTS SOMETIMES DO NOT STAY BUCKLED IN THE BUCKLE WITHOUT FORCE. SEATBELTS GET STUCK ON THE ONES THAT DO BUCKLE WHEN PARKED OR ON. TWO MIDDLE ROW SEATBELTS FELL COMPLETELY OFF. ONE THIRD ROW SEATBELT DOES NOT BUCKLE AT ALL.ONE 3RD ROW SEATBELT GETS STUCK ON A DAILY BASIS IN THE BUCKLE WITH THE VEHICLE PARKED OR NOT PARKED AND THE BELT ALWAYS GETS STUCK IN THE BOOSTER SEATS WE HAVE TO COMPLETELY REMOVE THE BOOSTER SEATS EVERYTIME WE NEED TO REBUCKLE THE SEATS. THE ACTUAL BUCKLES FALL APART EASILY.
THE 3RD ROW SEATING BUCKLES IN OUR JEEP COMMANDER BEGAN TO STICK ABOUT 6MOS AFTER PURCHASE. WE NOTICED THE BUCKLE WOULD STICK UNDER THE 3RD ROW SEATING AND THEN THE BUCKLE WOULD NO LONGER UNLATCH AT TIMES. THE BELT WOULD LATCH INTO THE BUCKLE, BUT WOULD GET STUCK INSIDE EVEN WHILE PUSHING THE RELEASE BUTTON. A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER THE BUCKLE STICKING THE BUCKLE WOULD ALSO UNLATCH AT ANYTIME WITHOUT PRESSING THE RELEASE BUTTON (WHILE MOVING AND WHILE STATIONARY). DURING THIS TIME THE BUCKLE WAS UNSTABLE AND WE CHOSE TO USE THE PASSENGER SIDE FOR THE MAJORITY OF CAR RIDES, BUT AS WE HAVE A LARGE FAMILY USE OF THE BELT WAS NECESSARY. AT ONE POINT THE BUCKLE BECAME STUCK WHILE MY SON WAS RESTRAINED BY THE BELT. WE HAD TO PRY THE BELT OUT OF THE BUCKLE. FROM THIS POINT ON THE BUCKLE WOULD NO LONGER LATCH. A FEW MONTHS LATER WE NOTICED THE PASSENGER SIDE BUCKLE WOULD RELEASE AT ANY TIME, (MOBILE OR STATIONARY). THE BUCKLE WOULD ALSO STICK AND WOULD NOT RELEASE AT TIMES. IT APPEARS THE PASSENGER SIDE BUCKLE IS NOW UNSAFE AND HAVING THE SAME ISSUES THE DRIVER SIDE BUCKLE CAUSED. THE 3RD ROW SEATING IS ATTACHED TO THE BUCKLES IN A WAY IT SEEMS TO CAUSE THESE ISSUES WITH THE BUCKLE. I HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON GOOGLE FORUMS AND COMPLAINT SITES. THE BUCKLES ARE FAILING DUE TO FAULTY MANUFACTURING. THE 3RD ROW SEATING CAUSES DAMAGE TO THE BUCKLES. OVER TIME THESE BUCKLES NEED REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE BUCKLE RELEASES WITHOUT BEING RELEASED AND WILL CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. THE BUCKLE RELEASE WILL STICK AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN AN EMERGENCY WHEN PASSENGER WOULD NEED REMOVED. THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE A RECALL AND REPLACED IN ALL 2007 JEEP COMMANDER 3RD ROW SEATS. THIS ISSUE WILL CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 136,000.

MULTIPLE OCCURRENCES OF THE IGNITION BEING TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE LEARNED NOT TO HANG ANYTHING FROM THE KEY WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE IT IS TOO EASY FOR A KNEE TO BUMP THE KEY AND TURN OFF THE CAR. IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME FOUR TIMES AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. THE 3RD ROW SEAT BELT DO NOT RETRACT WHEN THE SEATS ARE BEING FOLDED DOWN WHICH CAUSES THE SEAT BELTS TO BECOME JAMMED AND TEARING THE SEATS, ALSO WHEN FIXED, THE SEAT BELT WILL BECOME LOCKED IN PLACE CAUSING A PERSON TO BECOME STUCK IN THE SEATBELT, A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, THIS PERSON WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF HIS/HER SEAT. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HER HUSBAND WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, WHERE HE WAS HIT BY A TRAIN IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD WHILE CROSSING A RAILROAD TRACK. THE TRAIN STRUCK THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT, THE TRAIN DRAGGED THE VEHICLE ABOUT 100 FEET AND THEN FLIPPED IT OVER ON ITS ROOF ONTO THE STREET.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

CAR STALLS WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE DRNP DASH LIGHTS ALL LIGHT UP AT THE SAME TIME AND THE CAR SHUTS DOWN FOR A COUPLE SECONDS, THEN IT RESUMES. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES RANDOMLY IN THE PAST. TODAY, IT STALLED 3 TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY ON MY HOME FROM WORK. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND RESTART THE CAR. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FINALLY CAME ON TODAY. THE SEATBELTS ALSO HAVE BROKEN SEVERAL TIMES. I'VE REPLACED 2 SEPARATE SEATBELT CASES (THE OUTER COVER) IN THE PAST YEAR. THE MIDDLE, SECOND ROW SEATBELT IS LOCKED UP AND CURRENTLY UNUSABLE. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR, THE FIRST TIME I PUT UP THE 3RD ROW SEAT, THE SEATBELT WAS CRUSHED BY THE SEAT AND BROKEN. AND, THE BACK SEATBELT IS CURRENTLY BROKEN AGAIN (WHICH I HAVE ONLY USED THE 3RD ROW SEATS TWICE SINCE OWNING THE CAR), I PLAN TO HAVE THEM REPAIR IT AGAIN WHEN I TAKE THE CAR IN TO GET THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CHECKED :( *TR
