I had a recall for my 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee to repair a faulty fuel pump relay causing hard starting now it’s starting to intermittently do the same thing sometimes starts right up then sometimes will crank a long time before starting. This is what it was doing before they did the recall now it’s doing it again
The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received a notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that shortly after starting the engine, the vehicle experienced a loss of motive power. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was repaired under NHTSA Campaign: 17V572000; however, parts were not available for NHTSA Campaign: 19V813000(Electrical System). In addition, the local dealer advised the contact that the vehicle was in need of a fuel pump replacement. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 141,000.
To whom it may concern My 2011 jeep grand Cherokee has a very strong gasoline smell to the point I get dizzy when I’m driving it and a instant migraine Even if the car is parked in my drive way overnight the next morning you can smell gasoline from the outside too Please help me Thank you for your time
Fuel System failure. Decelerating to a stop or turn and vehicle stalls out. Already had the recalls processed which took months of being on a list. PCM then fails. and because of chip shortage in 2022, couldnt get the car repaired. Finally get the part in and mechanic installs it only to find out the fan, because it sat so long failed too. So after 3 fans (this vehicle takes a special fan) we finally got the right one (mechanic) and he installed it. Got car back and we had another stall out after 4 days of having the car returned. Called Chrysler Recall and escalated to a technician. The stall happens when you are actively driving it.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump relay was faulty. The fuel pump relay was replaced but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer who replaced the fuel pump, and the vehicle was repaired. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local service center who diagnosed the vehicle with power train failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 130,000.
I received notice of the V62 Fuel Pump Relay recall more than a year ago. It sounds like this is a serious safety issue, especially since I do much hwy. driving, & the Jeep could stall at any time. The local dealership, Brubaker @ 1020 Lititz Ave, Lancaster PA 17602 continues to tell me they can't get the part. Can you help me resolve this serious safety issue ?

THE CONTACT PLACED THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, SHIFTED BACK TO DRIVE, AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS DESIGNED. THE CONTACT STATED THIS FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ROCKWALL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (970 E INTERSTATE 30, ROCKWALL, TX 75087) WHO REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP RELAY HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,768.
IT'S STALLING AND SOMETIMES DON'T START AND CUTS OFF WHEN YOU COMING TO A STOP
WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE I LOST ALL ENGINE POWER, I NO LONGER HAD CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.LUCKILY I WAS DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT AT THE TIME AND GOING AT A RELATIVELY SLOW RATE OF SPEED SO I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT THE CAR DOWN. I TRIED TO START THE CAR AGAIN AND IT DID START ON IT'S OWN. THE CAR CONTINUALLY STALLS DURING START UP AND HAS NOW STARTED TO STALL AND SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. I BROUGHT IT TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP WHERE THEY INFORMED ME I HAD A FAULTY FUEL PUMP WHICH I THEN DISCOVERED WAS RECALLED BY JEEP. WHEN I TRIED TO BRING THE JEEP TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO HAVE IT REPAIRED THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART, IT HAD NOT BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO THEM. THIS WAS THE SAME WITH 2 OTHER DEALERSHIPS I CALLED. I ALSO CALLED THE CORPORATE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD THE PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE AND THEY WOULD NOT ASSIST ME WITH A RENTAL OR LOANER VEHICLE WHILE WAITING FOR THE PART. (RECALLRELATED INCIDENT) TS
THIS COMPLAINT IS IN REGARDS TO SAFETY RECALL V62 WHERE THE FUEL PUMP RELAY CAUSES A STALL WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. MY CAR HAS REGULARLY BEEN STALLING WHILING I'M DRIVING IN TRAFFIC FOR WELL OVER A YEAR. I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH FCA SEVERAL TIMES TELLING THEM OF THE RISK I AM IN ON A DAILY BASIS AND ASKING ABOUT WHEN PARTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE FOR THIS RECALL. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE THE RECALL HAS COME OUT WITH NO PROGRESS. JEEP (FCA) DOES NOT HAVE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM AND BECAUSE OF THIS MY JEEP EITHER WILL NOT START OR STALLS WITHOUT WARNING. JEEP DEALER AND FCA ARE NOT OFFERING ANY RESOLUTION. VEHICLE DIED WHILE DRIVING 8/21/2020 ON HWY 68 AND AT HWY 74 AT 27265 NC WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH THROUGH A CONSTRUCTION ZONE. HAD IT TOWED OFF THE ROAD TO ME HOUSE THEN TOWED TO THE DEALER. COULD NOT GET IT OFF THE ROAD DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. HAD TO LEAVE IT IN THE ROAD UNTIL FLAT BED SHOWED UP. ENGINE BEGAN TO SHUTTER THEN STOPPED. WOULD NOT RE-START AT ALL. SOMETIMES WOULD START LIKE IT WAS ONLY RUNNING ON 1 OR 2 CYLINDERS BUT THEN WOULD NOT CUT OFF ALL OF THIS HAPPENED DURING 5 O"CLOCK TRAFFIC.FILLED A COMPLAINT EARLIER ON THIS VEHICLE ABOUT STARTING ISSUES EXACTLY LIKE THIS. THE RECALL ON THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED BY JEEP BEEN WAY TO LONG FOR THEM TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. IT IS AT THE DEALER AND I ASSUME IT WILL COST ME A PRETTY PENNY BY THE TIME IT IS DONE. THEY SEEM TO ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO GENERATE A BILL EVEN ON A RECALL. I AM SO TIRED OF DEALING WITH JEEP. THIS OEM SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LET THIS GO THIS LONG. THE SO CALLED FIRST RECALL PLACING AN EXTERNAL FUEL RELAY HAS BEEN DONE DID NOT FIX ANYTHING. THIS VEHICLE IS A HAZARD IN MANY WAYS. IF IT FAILS IN A BAD LOCATION IT COULD LEAD TO LOS OF LIFE OR INJURY. ALSO IF THE NEED TO START THE VEHICLE AT A MOMENTS NOTICE IS NEEDED, IT WOULD BE AN ISSUE IN MOST CASES. I FIND IT UNACCEPTABLE THAT JEEP HAS NOT REPAIRED THIS ISSUE. WILL IT TAKE LOSE OF LIFE OR INJURY TO FORCE THEM TO REPAIR THE ISSUE???
