The anti collision avoidance systems did not engage. Instead it seemed the vehicle sped up. It did not engage to stop a collision, I was at almost a stop. Vehicle seemed to speed up. Anti-collision systems did not engage at all. This system worked previously. It did not brake automatically nor avoid a collision. It caused an accident & there were minor injuries & totaling 2 vehicles mine (2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland) & the other party to accidents truck.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO VEHICLE NEARBY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
COLLISION DETECTION INITIATES RANDOMLY WITH NO HAZARDS AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS (70 MPH). APPLIES BRAKES AND WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC AND HAS NEARLY RESULTED IN A REAR IMPACT COLLISION ON MULTIPLE OCASSIONS.
