Total Erosion of front and rear subframe. Replaced front 2021 rear rot 2023 so bad mechanic shop wouldn’t let me drive it after needing a inspection sticker( couldn’t get). Never was notified for extended warranty about replacing this part. Huge safety issue.
i never received a letter about X69 extendy warranty on cross member frame and now im told the bottom of my frame is all rusted and my back tires are bending in and i cant drive the car safely and needs replacement and that its been like this for awhile had i been informed of this x69 i would of taken my jeep in to get fixed i am extremely upset and would like to know if anyone can help me. and my air bag module light came on and i paid over 1000.00 for that to be repaired and i was told there was a recall on that and i never got that letter. i am very distraught over this.
Engine Crossmember erosion very dangerous to drive. FCA extended warranty will NOT cover. Did not receive a letter of warning that was sent out to thousands.
FRONT CROSSMEMBER IS COMPLETELY ROTTED OUT. CHRYSLER EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THIS TO 10 YEARS TO INCLUDE INSPECTIONS RATHER THAN RECALL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. SINCE I BOUGHT THIS JEEP USED I WAS NOT INFORMED THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM OR THAT I WAS ENTITLED TO INSPECTIONS TO LOOK FOR THIS PROBLEM. I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS A CONTROL ARM ISSUE BUT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PUT ON THE HOIST, LOOKING AT IT FROM BELOW, THE FRONT CROSSMEMBER HAS NEARLY COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT. NO OTHER PARTS OF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS EXTENT CORROSION DAMAGE. THIS IS CLEARLY A DEFECT IN MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION OR CHOICE OF SURFACE COATING FOR THIS PART. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION WHICH CONSUMERS MAY BE COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF, UNLESS THEY WERE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THEY HAD A CUSTOMER MAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME PROBLEM JUST TO HAVE THE CROSSMEMBER GIVE WAY, DROPPING THE THE ENGINE ONTO THE GROUND IN THE PARKING LOT. UNBELIEVABLE! I WISH I HAD PHOTOS FROM WHEN I ORIGINALLY HAD IT ON THE HOIST, BUT I DIDN'T GET THEM. IT IS AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW. CHRYSLER INITIALLY SAID THEY WOULD TRY TO OFFER SOME "GOOD WILL" BUT HAVE SINCE REJECTED THIS DUE TO THE $2350.00 ESTIMATE FOR REPAIR. NO WONDER THEY WEREN'T RECALLED. SHAME ON YOU CHRYSLER!

I HAVE BOUGHT A 2010 JEEP LIBERTY AND NOW NOTICED THAT THE SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBERS ARE ROTTING OUT AND THERE IS A HOLE IN THE FRONT CROSSMEMBER. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND OUT THIS WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE PATRIOT, COMPASS, AND A DODGE CALIBER. YET THERE WAS NEVER A RECALL.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT AND REAR CROSSMEMBERS SHOWED EVIDENCE OF CORROSION. THE CONTACT CALLED ROMANO CHRYSLER JEEP (215 W GENESEE ST, FAYETTEVILLE, NY 13066, (315) 637-3101) AND WAS INFORMED THAT BOTH CROSSMEMBERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED A 10 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE ON THE VEHICLE FOR THE CROSSMEMBERS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
WE HAD THE FRONT CONTROLS ARMS AND REAR TOE LINKS REPLACED IN NOVEMBER 2018. UPON GOING TO PURCHASE NEW TIRES, THE LF LOWER CONTROL ARM W/BALL JOINT WERE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE AND UNSAFE...WE HAD THEM REPLACED IMMEDIATELY FOR SAFETY REASONS AS THE CAR IS DRIVEN HUNDREDS OF MILES A WEEK AND USED 6 DAYS A WEEK AND COULDN'T WAIT UNTIL AN APPOINTMENT COULD BE MADE AT THE SAME DEALERSHIP THAT REPLACED IT ORIGINALLY. WE WERE TOLD IF THE DEALERSHIP HAD DONE THE REPAIRS/REPLACEMENT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO CHARGE BECAUSE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRENTY....WE ARE SEEKING A REFUND FOR THE PARTS UNDER THE WARRENTY ONLY...NOT THE ENTIRE BILL WHICH INCLUDED THE COST OF 2 NEW TIRES THAT WERE A ROUTINE PURCHASE....THE INVOICE IS ATTACHED WITH THE CURRENT WORK, THE ORIGINAL WARRENTY WORK AND THE AMOUNT OF $316.93 IS WHAT WE'RE SEEKING TO BE REIMBURSED FOR., NOT THE TOTAL OF $811.34---THE INVOICE IS BROKEN OUT FOR YOUR REVIEW.

BAD BALL JOINTS SAME AS MANY OTHERS. ALSO BAD SUB FRAME. TOOK AUTO IN FOR MAINTENANCE AND WAS SHOWN BAD BALL JOINTS AND A RUSTED OUT SUB FRAME. THESE WERE ISSUES AND EARLIER PATRIOTS BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.
MY SISTER WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE. SHE FELT CAR WHEELS PULLING TO ONE SIDE. VEHICLE BEGAN TO VEER OUT OF CONTROL WHERE SHE TRIED TO STABLIZE. PICTURE TAKEN AFTER ACCIDENT SHOWS THAT BOTTOM FRAME OF VEHICLE BECAME UNATTACHED FROM VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE DID NOT HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE OR ANYTHING ELSE SOLID. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON TWO WAY STREET WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS KEEPING STRAIGHT WITH NO TURNS.
WHEN BRAKING, THE JEEP SEEMS TO LOOSE REAR CONTROL FEATURES. THE SAME OFTEN OCCURS WHEN SLOWLY ACCELERATING. IT HAS "SHIFTED" FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER AT TIMES WHEN GENERAL STRAIGHT ROAD DRIVING OCCURS. SPEEDS HAVE NEVER EXCEEDED 30 MPH. BRAKING LOSS OF REAR CONTROL OCCURS AT SPEEDS NEVER EXCEEDING 5 MILES AN HOUR
WENT TO GO LOOK FOR NEW TIRES AND WAS TOLD BOTH LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE BAD. RIGHT SIDE WAS WORSE AND NOT TO DRIVE BEFORE GETTING IT FIXED; IT WAS THAT BAD. IN MY 45 YEARS OF DRIVING I HAVE NEVER HAD BALL JOINT GO THIS EARLY. BALL JOINTS WENT OUT BEFORE MY FIRST SET OF TIRES. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. AT 21,237 MILES, FRONT TIE RODS AND BALL JOINTS HAD TO BE REPLACED FOR A TOTAL OF $1500. AT THIS AMOUNT OF MILES, THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. AFTER SOME INTERNET RESEARCH, I DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS ON ONGOING PROBLEM IN JEEP PATRIOTS THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED BY CHRYSLER. I WAS ACTUALLY TOLD THAT MY CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITHOUT THESE REPAIRS, AND I HAD BEEN DRIVING IT REGULARLY (WITHOUT ANY SYMPTOMS OF PROBLEMS) AND COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IN A FIERY CRASH BECAUSE OF CHRYSLER'S NEGLECT. *TR

There has already been a TBA service bulletion on this vehicle. It has to do with the front and rear subframes. I just bought this vehicle a couple months ago . The old owner never replaced them so now it's so rusted out that the toe can't b adjusted and the tires are pointing inward horribly wearing the inside tread of tires wear out 90× faster. The subframes about to snap causing the whole rear end to hit the ground
