While parking and putting my car in park. Hello, my car needs a recall. August 31, 2024 While parking and putting the car in park. my car shifted into Neutral and lunged forward causing me to hit a sign and maneuver away from a wall. My car is dangerous. Please help!! My car lunged forward and i ran into a bush. I am injured. This car malfunction jumping gears. Not shifting properly the car is dangerous.

I own a 2016 Mercedes GLE350 that was repaired under a safety recall involving failure of a fuel pump due to water intrusion into the spare wheel well. Mercedes Benz "fixed" the car under the safety recall however, several months later, my vehicle experienced the same exact issue - water intrusion entered the rear wheel well causing the fuel system to fail. Mercedes Benz currently has my vehicle and cannot locate the water leak (they are saying it is in the hatch area of my car). They are currently trying to charge me $890 to find the leak. However, the original safety recall on this vehicle states, "the cause of the defect may vary due to a development deviation in combination with production tolerances and possible customer influences when loading and unloading items from the rear hatch. Each cause could lead to a different issue and water intrusion. Therefore, the tightness in the rear area might not meet specifications." I understand that my vehicle is not the first to experience this issue and I believe this is a defect with this make/model/year. I am hopeful this will be looked into further as I believe this issue goes past the recall. I should not be required to pay for this and my safety should not be compromised due to this.

We were driving in the street and just suddenly the front of the car was on fire. We stopped the car and we had almost no time to get out because the flames got very big in just minutes. Good thing the doors weren't locked because we safely got out of the car. This incident happened in rush hour and there were lots of cars around us. This put not just the passengers in our car but other people around us in danger. We contacted Mercedes-Benz but they declined out claim and refused to investigate into this issue. Please help us hold Mercedes-Benz accountable.

My 2016 Mercedes GLE 450 AMG was running perfectly but stalled while I was making a left turn onto a major roadway and I was inches from a catastrophic accident. My car was towed to Mercedes Benz dealership and the technician informed me that the trunk seal was not sealing properly causing water to get in through the trunk and shorted out a fuel pump module. My trunk was not wet and only indication of water was when the rear compartment was lifted near the spare tire area so I was not aware of a possible leak. My car is mostly garage kept unless I am at work where it’s exposed to weather. It had been raining for several days in our area. After doing online research, it appears to be an existing problem for Mercedes owners. I’m concerned because I could have lost my life due to this issue and someone may not be so fortunate if the problem goes unresolved.

The passenger side door won't open or lock automatically

Battery and antitheft device malfunction causing inability to shift out of neutral and can roll of the road. I left car immediate due to the risk of rolling into traffic without control called for help and secured with blocks. Not confirmed yet by dealer....no warning prior to failure....car is secured waiting for tow for 2 days to the dealership...the keys dont work ..it was a very dangerous situation and other mercedes have encountered this problem noted on line the mercedes dashboard ..

I PURCHASED MY 2016 MERCEDES BENZ GLE 350 LATE SEPTEMBER 2019. SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH WATER GETTING IN THROUGH THE LIFT GATE. ON SATURDAY JAN 4 THIS WATER ENTRY THROUGH TRUNK CAUSED MY MERCEDES BENZ TO STALL WHILE DRIVING. FORTUNATELY I WAS ON A SAFE ROADWAY WITH AMPLE SPACE BETWEEN OTHER DRIVES AND AN ACCIDENT DID NOT OCCUR. AFTER TOWING IT HOME I HAD THE CAR DIAGNOSED BY MY LOCAL MERCEDES BENZ SPECIALIST. THE COMPUTER HAD THE FOLLOWING STORED DIAGNOSTIC CODES. P053F94 STORED THE FUEL PRESSURE DURING A COLD START IS IMPLAUSIBLE. THERE EXISTS AN UNEXPECTED INSTRUCTION. P062800 CURRENT THE OUTPUT FOR THE FUEL PUMP HAS A SHORT CIRCUIT TO THE GROUND. U010987 CURRENT AND STORED COMMUNICATION WITH THE FUEL PUMP MODULE IS FAULTY. THE MESSAGE IS LOST. THESE DIAGNOSTIC CODES LED TO TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN WATER ENTRY THROUGH TRUNK REFERENCE NUMBER(S) LI88.50-P-069683 VERSION 1 DATE OF ISSUE: APRIL 12, 2019 FUNCTION GROUP 88.50 TRUNK LID COMPLAINT TRUNK SEAL IS LOOSE, VEHICLE WILL NOT START, OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Shifter and speed control car goes into nuetral instead of drive. The car excessively breaks when not necessary. Car stalling and locking steering wheel constant clicking after driving coming from the fuel tank. I use premium gas always the best quality. Problems with the control modules saying transmission not in park will roll away but car is in park the car automatically going into modes without prompt showing on dash. Tow engaging without print. It’s ver scary. Please fix these glitches. My car was off the road by and in safe driver as I got back into the road m. WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WALTER MERCEDES IN RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE RECALL WAS REPAIRED AND COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,407.

THIS GLE 550$ 2016 LESS THAN 18 MONTHS WITH 5800 MILES. ELECTRICAL CHARGE OUTLET DOOR IS POSING SAFETY PROBLEMS. IT IS LOCATED HORIZONTALLY IN THE REAR BUMPER. THE SOLENOID VALVE EITHER UNLOCKS ITSELF DURING DRIVE, OR CANNOT BE CLOSED. DURING RUNNING THE DOOR OF THE OUTLET IS OPEN. THE CARS BEHIND ME HONK AND ATTEMPT TO OVERTAKE ME AND SLOW DOWN IN THE NEXT LANE TO WARN ME THAT MY GASOLINE DOOR IS OPEN (THEY DO NOT KNOW IT IS ELECTRICAL). I GET WORRIED ABOUT THEIR SAFETY AND MINE IN THE HGHWAY . WATER AND SNOW SEEPS INTO THE SOLENOID VALVE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CLOSE THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET COVER OF THE CHARGING OUTLET. IT HAS GONE TO THE WORKSHOP THREE TIMES. THEY PRETTY MUCH GAVE UP AND REFERRED TO MERCEDES. TWO WINTERS, THE VALVE IS FROZEN AND NON FUNCTIONAL. NON CLOSURE OF THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET MAKES GASOLINE OUTLET DOOR INOPERABLE. OCCASIONALLY, A DUCT TAPE HAS TO BE USED TO KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED AND GASOLINE FILLED. INITIALLY, THE DEALER NOT KNOWING, I SUPPOSE, SUGGESTED I USE WD 40 SPRAY INTO THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET DOOR. I WAS RELUCTANT TO FOLLOW THIS MODE DUE TO FEAR OF ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUIT. LATER THE SOLENOID VALVE REPLACED WITH NO PERMANENT SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. IT SEEMS, THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN REPORTED IN THE B CLASS ALSO AS PER THE LINK BELOW. THIS CAR IS PRETTY MUCH USELESS IN WINTER AS IT DOES NOT MEET ITS SPECIFICATIONS LISTED IN THE MANUAL.

DRIVER PULLED INTO PARKING SPOT. WHILE CAR WAS STOPPED, AND THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN 'PARK', WHILE PRESSING THE BRAKE, THE CAR VIOLENTLY JUMPED FORWARD TWO TIMES, AT AN EXTREME SPEED, AND WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. TRANSMISSION DISPLAY (P, R, N, D) WAS FLASHING AND VEHICLE CAUSED INJURY TO THE DRIVER AND CHILD.
