Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2008-2011 Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, and 2008-2009 Quest vehicles. The resin emblem on the driver's air bag cover may develop cracks and detach during air bag deployment.
Remedy Status
Dealers will replace the drivers airbag cover. Owner letters were mailed December 8, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall are PC944, PC945, and PC946.
NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 TITAN, ARMADA, AND INFINITI QX56, AND MODEL YEAR 2008-2009 NISSAN QUEST VEHICLES. THE BRAKE PEDAL PIVOT PIN END WAS NOT SPIN-FORMED TO SPECIFICATION DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY. THE PIVOT PIN COULD SLIDE AND CAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO PARTIALLY DISENGAGE FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL BRACKET.
Remedy Status
DEALERS WILL INSPECT TO SEE IF THE PIVOT PIN HAD BEEN FORMED PROPERLY AND WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY IF NECESSARY FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 22, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.
NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN FRONT AND REAR LOWER LINKS, P/NOS. 54501ZQ00A, 54500ZQ00A, 551A1ZQ00A, 551A0ZQ00A , 54501EA00A, 54500EA00A, 551A1EA500, 551A0EA500, 54501ZR00A, AND 54500ZR00A, SOLD BETWEEN NOVEMBER 25, 2009 AND MAY 14, 2010 AS REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR MODEL YEAR 2004 THROUGH 2010 TITAN, ARMADA, AND QX56, AND MODEL YEARS 2005 THROUGH 2010 FRONTIER, XTERRA, AND PATHFINDER VEHICLES. THE LOWER CONTROL LINK ASSEMBLY HAS TWO CYLINDRICAL COLLARS FORMING THE INBOARD ATTACHMENT POINTS TO THE CHASSIS. DUE TO AN IMPROPER WELDING PROCESS SOME COLLARS MAY CONTAIN WELDS THAT DO NOT MEET STRENGTH SPECIFICATIONS.
Remedy Status
NISSAN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE ANY AFFECTED LOWER LINK FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 12, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

Vehicle showed over a quarter tank of fuel and shut off unexpectedly in a corner.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that after reversing out of a parking space, while depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal went to the floorboard. The contact was able to bring the vehicle to a complete stop by engaging the parking brake and shifting the vehicle into park. After a visual inspection, the contact observed a hole in the driver's side brake line. The traction control and brake warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 21,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Titan. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V067000 (Air Bags), however the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
When driving and pressing on brake pedal the brakes do not engage. If you let go of the pedal and reapply it will start breaking. But they don't work frequently.
CLEAR COAT IS DELAMINATING UNDER THE PAINT IN ABOUT 10 SPOTS.
Out of no where my air bag light came on. I took it to a shop and they checked it with a machine. They said it was the clock spring and that part is on back order and has been for months.
MY AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS BLINKING THE WHOLE TIME MY TRUCK IS ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15-30 MPH, THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE WHERE THE CONTACT PERFORMED A SELF DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MAIN PINION GEAR FAILED, WHICH SENT METALLIC COMPONENTS AND GEAR OIL ONTO THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. FUTURE NISSAN OF FOLSOM (LOCATED AT 12610 AUTO MALL CIR, FOLSOM, CA 95630, (877) 635-4447) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,500.

THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AT OPEN ROAD MOTORSPORTS (1175 VILLAGE WAY, MONROE, WA 98272, (360) 489-6556) TWO MONTHS AGO. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING, EXHAUST FUMES ENTERED THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD DETACHED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
TAKTA RECALL I HAVE RECENTLY HAD MANY MALFUNCTIONS WITH MY TRUCK. SHIFT INTERLOCK, IPDM, BRAKES ARE LOCKED. TRANSMISSION WONT SHIFT, NO BRAKE LIGHTS, STEREO DOES NOT WORK, AC SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY, BACK DOORS DON'T WANT TO OPEN, AIR BAG LIGHT FLASHES BACKED TRUCK IN DRIVE WAY. GOT OUT FOR A FEW MINUTES. GOT BACK IN TO MOVE IT AND IT WOULD NOT GO IN GEAR. THEN I NOTICED ALL OF THESE OTHER PROBLEMS
WHETHER STATIONARY OR MOVING, THE AC BLOWER, DEFROST, ETC WON'T WORK AS IT ALWAYS RUNS COLD AND DOES NOT BLOW ANY HOT AIR TO DEFROST WINDOWS. THIS IS ESPECIALLY PROBLEMATIC WHEN CAR IS FOGGIN UP ON THE INSIDE AND THE DEFROST WON'T BLOW ANY HOT AIR. CABIN OF TRUCK IS ESPECIALLY COLD NOW AS IT WON'T BLOW ANY HOT AIR. THERE IS A CLICKING SOUND WHEN TYING TO TURN THE AC/HEATER CONTROL KNOB, LIKE THE BLOWER DOOR IS STUCK OR THE MOTOR CAN'T TURN THE DOOR TO LET THE HOT AIR IN.

AS A RESULT, THE STEERING WHEEL HAD TO BE HELD AT A CERTAIN ANGLE IN ORDER FOR THE HORN TO WORK PROPERLY. THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AFTER THE FAILURE. BENTON NISSAN OF HOOVER (1640 MONTGOMERY HWY, HOOVER, AL 35216) WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
REAR AXLE BEARING FAILURE IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET.
2010 NISSAN TITAN PRO-4X UNCONTROLLABLY ACCELERATED WITHOUT DRIVER INPUT, RESULTING IN A COLLISION. I WAS DRIVING DOWN AN AISLE IN A PARKING LOT AND BEGAN TO APPLY THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN AND TURN LEFT INTO A PARKING STALL. JUST AS MY VEHICLE WAS ABOUT TO COME TO A STOP AND PARK, THE ENGINE REVVED (IT FELT/SOUNDED LIKE FULL THROTTLE), THE TIRES SQUEALED AND LAUNCHED THE VEHICLE FORWARD RESULTING IN A COLLISION WITH A VEHICLE PARKED IN THE OPPOSITE STALL. BECAUSE MY FOOT WAS ALREADY ON THE BRAKE PEDAL I MANAGED TO QUICKLY DEPRESS IT ALL THE WAY AND AT LEAST REDUCE THE SEVERITY OF THE IMPACT. TO DATE, THIS IS THE FIRST AND ONLY OCCURRENCE OF A PROBLEM ASSOCIATED WITH VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL/ACCELERATOR.
WHEEL BEARINGS AND BRAKE FAILURE. CAR MAKES GRINDING NOISE AND ALL LIGHTS (ABS, VDC) COMES ON AND THE CAR DOES NOT BRAKE.

POOR DEFROSTER PERFORMANCE ON DRIVERS SIDE WINDSHIELD AT ALL TIMES DUE TO ACTUATOR FAILURE. PART COST LESS THAN $35.00 SHOP LABOR QUOTED $1,300.00. FEW OWNERS CAN AFFORD THE REPAIR. POOR DESIGN OF ACTUATOR
I RECENTLY HAD AIR BAG LIGHT START FLASHING. I TOOK IN TO NISSAN DEALER TO GET CHECKED AND THEY SAID THE "SPIRAL CABLE" WAS BAD, THIS IS ALSO KNOWN AS CLOCK SPRING. NISSAN RESET AND SAID BRING BACK IF OCCURS AGAIN. IT DID AND I TOOK TO ANOTHER SHOP FOR SECOND OPINION AND SAME RESULT. I AGREED TO GET PART TO FIX THE TRUCK. AFTER BEING TOLD PART WAS ON BACK ORDER NO ETA ON DELIVERY OF PARTS FROM NISSAN. AFTER 4 WEEKS I CHECKED AND FOUND OUT THE SAME DEALER HAS 6 OTHER "SPIRAL CABLES" ON BACK ORDER. AS I STAND NOW, ACCORDING TO NISSAN MY TRUCKS DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IF NEEDED, AND NO ETA ON PARTS.
