This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014 model year Titan King Cab and Crew Cab pick-up trucks manufactured August 27, 2013, through November 13, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the Tire and Loading Information label overstates the maximum load and passenger carrying capacity of the vehicle. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims for Passenger Cars."
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify owners and will provide owners with a correct label to install, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on January 21, 2014. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2012-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the air bag inflator may not function properly or may rupture during deployment.
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front driver air bag inflators, free of charge. The recall began May 7, 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
My Nissan titan 2014 had a rear axle leak and now I have an axle gasket leak
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP GETTING ON HIGHWAY OR TRAFFIC A FEW TIMES NOW IN LIGHT RAIN THE TRUCK WENT SIDEWAYS ON ME OR EVEN AFTER STOPPING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT IT'S AS IF THERE'S ICE ON THE ROAD LIKE THE TIRES ARE BALD RIM AND TIRES DON'T CRAB THE ROAD LIKE THEY SHOULD ESPECIALLY THE FRONT RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE DEALERSHIP SAID THE TIRES WERE NEW BUT IT'S LIKE THE TIRE AND RIM DON'T SPEND AT THE SAME TIME AND THEN A CLUNK LIKE A SLIPPED GEAR BACK TIRES DON'T HAVE TRACTION BUT THE TIRES ARE NEW AND HAVE GOOD TREAD. WHEN GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS THE TRUCKS RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE HAS MADE A METAL TO METAL LOUD NOISE DEAR SAID NOTHINGS WRONG. SINCE ABOUT A MONTH OR LESS OF DRIVING THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE HAS CAUSED THE WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH TO COME ON DEALER TOLD ME JUST GO PUT AIR IN THE TIRE NOW THESE ARE NEW TIRES WHY WOULD THIS BE HAPPENING ANY BUMPS I HIT THE TRUCK HITS HARD GOING SLOW SOUNDS HORRIBLE. I FEEL IN THE RAIN OR EVEN NORMAL WEATHER THIS TRUCK SHOULDN'T BE SLIPPING SPINNING OUT IT'S A HAZARD TO ME AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD
2014 NISSAN TITAN. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO A BAD BRAKE BOOSTER. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. *JS
BRAKES WENT OUT AND PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. ABS BRAKES CAME ON. NOT A HARD BRAKE AT ALL. COULDN'T STOP IN TIME PULLING INTO PARKING SPACE AND HIT FENCE POLE DAMAGE TO FRONT BUMPER CENTER AND PASSENGER SIDE FENDER. THIS COULD OF BEEN LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION IF ON ROAD WAY IF HAD TO STOP FOR TRAFFIC OR PEDESTRIANS
CPSC: DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD VEHICLE WOULD UNLOCK WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT OR SPEEDS LESS THAN 10 MPH ALSO VEHICLE SITS FOR PERIOD OF TIME AND UNLOCKS ITSELF. *DT
NOTHING I JUST GOT A RECALL LETTER
LEFT FRONT STRUT FAILED AT 14,541 MILES. BEGAN MAKE A CLUNKING NOISE. RIGHT FRONT STRUT FAILED AT 21,000 MILES. MAKES A CLUNKING METAL TO METAL NOISE. NOISE OCCURS WILL DRIVING OVER SMALL BUMPS.
APPLIED BRAKES AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON. PEDAL WAS SOFT AND MADE A GRINDING SOUND. BRAKES STILL WORKED BUT NOT VERY WELL. CLEARED THE PROBLEM BY TURNING OFF ENGINE AND RESTARTING. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. I VIDEO TAPED WITH MY CELL PHONE BEFORE RESETTING. HAD THIS CHECKED SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND DEALER RESET SOMETHING. HE SAID IT MAY OR MAY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. IT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. HE SAID THE COST TO REPLACE THE FAULTY PART WOULD BE APPROX.$900.00. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS IT IS A POTENTIAL HAZARD IF BRAKING HAD TO BE DONE SUDDENLY AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. *TR
I BOUGHT A 2014 NISSAN TITAN LS CREW CAB PICKUP THAT HAS ARM RESTS ON THE TWO FRONT SEATS. WHEN THE ARM RESTS ARE DOWN IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO LATCH OR UNLATCH THE SEAT BELTS. *TR
TONNEAU COVER FLEW OFF BACK OF TRUCK ON BUSY HIGHWAY. CAR COMING BEHIND TRUCK HIT IT, ROLLED AND DID SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THEIR VEHICLE. ALL FOUR CLIPS WERE ON TONNEAU COVER, SO IF ONE CLIP CAME OFF, THE OTHER THREE SHOULD HAVE HELD COVER IN PLACE. SHORTLY AFTER THIS ACCIDENT, I WAS TOLD BY TWO OTHER INDIVIDUALS THAT THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED WITH THEIR TONNEAU COVER, HOWEVER, NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED. I WAS ALSO TOLD BY ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL THAT THE TRUCK LINER FLEW FROM THE BACK OF THE TRUCK. THERE SHOULD BE SOME TIME OF SAFETY HARNESSES ON THESE TRUCK PARTS. THE BRACKETS THAT WERE USED TO HOLD DOWN THE TONNEAU COVER ON THE NISSAN TITAN WERE NOT USER FRIENDLY, NOR VERY ACCURATE FOR THE DANGERS THAT COULD OCCUR FROM THE COVER FLYING OFF THE VEHICLE. *TR
