Hi, In my car VSC light is always on, I got it scan as well but it doesn't show any code for VSC and ABS systems. Toyota dealership also don't give any information about the codes. It's kind of very dangerous to drive with all the lights on the cluster. Thank You
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry equipped with Michelin Tires, Tire Line: Cross Climate 2, Tire Size: 215/60/R16, DOT Number: 1AP4909CX2022. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 MPH, he switched lanes to avoid crashing into another vehicle in front that had stopped abruptly. The contact nearly lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle inadvertently swerved, and the contact felt as if the vehicle was going to flip over. Upon inspection, the contact related the failure to the design of the tires. The contact stated that the tires had no ribs, borders, or lateral grooves; the tires only had a V-shaped design along the tread. The tire store was made aware of the failure; however, the tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tire failure mileage was approximately 25. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 224,000.
THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR IS ALWAYS ON, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPS. AFTER HAVING TIRE PRESSURE CHECKED THINGS ARE USUALLY OK FOR A DAY OR TWO AND THEN THEY ARE BACK TO PRESSURE SENSOR ILLUMINATING. THIS IS A VERY COMMON AND KNOWN PROBLEM WITH TOYOTA AND LEXUS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2010 WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS AS PURCHASED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT A TECHNICIAN INFORMED HIM THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRES HAD DEVELOPED BUBBLES ON THE SIDE WALL. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD PREVIOUSLY EXPERIENCE A BLOW OUT WHILE USING THE SAME MODEL TIRE ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE TIRE WAS IN THE SAME CONDITION BEFORE THE BLOW OUT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. A LOW NOISE LIKE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN IN A LOWER GEAR THAN DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DAVID MAUS TOYOTA. THE SERVICE ADVISOR STATED THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARING AND HUB WERE BAD. I QUESTIONED A WHEEL BEARING GOING OUT AT 14000 MILES. THE SERVICE ADVISOR SAID WE SHOULD DRIVE THE CAR MORE. I CONTACTED THE TOYOTA DISTRIBUTOR WHO CONTACTED THE TOYOTA SERVICE REP. THE SERVICE REP SAID DUE TO AGE TOYOTA WOULD NOT REPAIR IT. HE FURTHER STATED THAT THE CAR SHOULD BE DRIVEN MORE. I TOOK THE CAR TO PHILLIPS TOYOTA IN LEESBURG, FLORIDA. THEY CHECKED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS AND ONE FRONT HUB BAD. THEY REPLACED BOTH BEARINGS AND A HUB. SINCE THIS DID NOT SOUND LIKE A WHEEL BEARING HAD IT NOT BEEN FOUND, IT COULD HAVE CAUSED THE FRONT WHEELS TO LOCK UP WHICH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. THERE IS NO MENTION IN ANY OF TOYOTA'S MATERIAL TELLING THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY SHOULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE A SPECIFIED NUMBER OF MILES DURING A CERTAIN TIME PERIOD. *JS
I WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY YESTERDAY WHEN MY LEFT FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT(OR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A BLOW OUT). I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND WAS, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, ABLE TO KEEP THE CAR IN CONTROL. THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SENSOR IS CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATED ON MY DASH BOARD, DESPITE HAVING CORRECT PRESSURE IN ALL TIRES ON THE CAR INCLUDING THE SPARE. IT IS A DISTRACTION. TOOK MY CAR TO THE LOCAL TOYOTA DEAL AND THEY INFORM ME THAT THE PROBLEM IS TRACED TO MALFUNCTIONING TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS. GIVEN THE RECALLS ON TOYOTA CARS/TRUCKS ON CALIBRATION PROBLEMS WITH TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS AND THE FACT THAT TOYOTA MANUFACTURES COMMON PARTS FOR ALL VEHICLES SUCH AS THESE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS, I BELIEVE THEY ARE DEFECTIVE PARTS. MY VEHICLE IS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY WITH A V-6 ENGINE MANUFACTURED IN APRIL 2007. FURTHER COMPOUNDING THE PROBLEM IS THAT TOYOTA REPRESENTATIVE ATTRIBUTE FAULT TO THE US GOVERNMENT SAYING, "IT'S A GOVERNMENT MANDATE FOR US TO HAVE THESE SENSORS ON OUR CARS". RIDICULOUS. *TR
I TOOK MY 2007 CAMRY FOR 25,000 (AT 23,000) MILES SERVICE. I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED NEW TIRES. I QUESTIONED IT AND WAS TOLD 'YOU HAVE TO TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY, TOO' I TAKE MY CAR IN CONSISTENTLY DO PRETTY MUCH WHAT IS SUGGESTED TO ME AS PART OF PREVENTIVE CARE AND I HAVE ALL THE BILLS TO PROVE IT, MENTIONED THIS TO THE SERVICE PERSON, AND TALKED TO MANAGER AND WAS TOLD THAT YES I NEEDED THE NEW TIRES. THIS WAS "NORMAL" WEAR AND TEAR. I SURE WAS NOT READY FOR SUCH A LARGE EXPENSE. AS I WAS RESEARCHING FOR WHAT KIND OF TIRES TO BUY, I FOUND THAT MANY 2007 CAMRY OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM! ALSO I FOUND THAT THERE IS A LEAKAGE PROBLEM WITH THE BRIDGESTONE TIRES, AND CHECKING MY SERVICE BILLS, I SEE THAT I HAD TAKEN MY CAR IN TO HAVE THE PRESSURE LIGHTS CHECKED, BECAUSE I WOULD ADD AIR TO MY TIRES AND FEW WEEKS AFTER I WOULD HAVE THE LIGHT COME ON AGAIN. ALL THIS IS DOCUMENTED AND NOW I AM FURIOUS THAT I WAS NOT TOLD OF THIS PROBLEM. THANKFULLY, I AM NOT ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING ANT 55+ MILES AN HOUR, AS I WORK NEAR MY HOME. I HATE TO THINK OF THE OUTCOME. WHEN I HAVE TAKEN MY SON BACK TO SCHOOL, IS WHEN THE PRESSURE LIGHT WOULD COME ON MOST OFTEN. NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE! I PURCHASED 4 BRAND NEW TIRE'S, CONTINENTAL CONTIPROCONTACT, P215/60 R 94 T, AT MAVIS DISCOUNT TIRE IN JANUARY OF 2010. AFTER THREE MONTHS, AND APPROXIMATELY 3,000 MILES, ONE TIRE BLEW OUT DUE TO A SIDEWALL EXPLOSION. THIS TIRE WAS THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE. THIS TIRE WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER AT A NOMINAL COST, SINCE I HAD PURCHASED INSURANCE ON THE TIRES. EXACTLY ONE MONTH LATER, THE FRONT DRIVER TIRE BLEW OUT FROM THE SAME CAUSE, AND THIS FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY (THE FIRST TIRE FAILURE WAS ALSO A HIGHWAY FAILURE). THIS FAILURE WAS ALSO INSIDE THE SIDE WALL, AND NOT DUE TO DEBRIS OR POTHOLE. THIS MAKES TWO OF FOUR NEW TIRES EXPERIENCING DANGEROUS HIGHWAY FAILURE WITHIN THE FIRST 4,000 MILES OF OWNERSHIP. THIS 50% FAILURE RATE WITHOUT EXPLANATION I FEEL IS A SIGN OF A MANUFACTURERS PERFORMANCE DEFECT, GIVEN BOTH FAILURE OCCURRING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, AND WHEN THE TIRES WHERE IN NEW CONDITION. *TR

ON 7/22/09, I HAD FOUR NEW TIRES REPLACED ON MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY (LE) AT PEP BOYS #430 LOCATED ON 260-310 RTE 73, N. BERLIN, NJ 08009 PH # (856) 719-0770. THE NEW TIRES WERE CORNELL 1000 RADIAL P215/60R16 M+S 94S. DURING WET PAVEMENT THE TIRES SPIN ON THE ROAD (WHEN I AM STOPPED AT A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT AND TRY TO MOVE WHEN IT TURNS GREEN, EVEN AT THE SLOWEST ACCELERATION SPEED POSSIBLE) AND ON AN EXIT RAMP THE CAR LOSES CONTROL AT THE MINIMUM SPEEDS. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY OF OTHERS ON THE ROAD, MYSELF AND PROPERTY DAMAGE DUE TO THESE TIRES UNSAFE BEHAVIOR. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BETWEEN JULY AND NOV. 2009 BUT I WAS NOT SURE THAT THE DEFECTIVE TIRES COULD BE THE ROOT CAUSE FOR THE CAR'S BEHAVIOR. I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK I WAS GOING AT A SPEED OF 45 -50 MILES PER HOUR;ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR STARTED SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL. THE CAR LANDED IN A DITCH ON SOME HUGE ROCKS. IT WAS RAINING AT THE TIME OF THE WRECK BUT I NEVER AGREED OR FELT LIKE THE CAR HYDROPLANED.
