There are 1 owner-reported lighting complaints for the 2022 Toyota Corolla Crossin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
I am concerned with the visibility of my car in the night/dark. When driving my car in the night I get flashed by divers behind me. I am almost completely sure it is because the rear lights are so small and dim. This car was not available for a test drive and often isn’t so how is a potential buyer to know of this issue unless it is pointed out? All of the demonstration videos are of the highest model which comes with the adequate lighting. The only way to have an adequately visible Corolla Cross (from behind) is to upgrade to the highest model. I worry that I am at a higher risk from other drivers of being rear ended when driving at night/on dimly lit streets.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
