While driving my car it stopped all of a sudden leaving the car behind to slide out of control so not to hit me. A light came on. when I read the code it said vehicle ignition switch. This also happened a year ago only the car didn’t stop it slowed down to 5 miles an hour. I did repair it a year ago only for it to happen again. This is a very serious thing as I had my grand babies with me and the car behind me had three children.
while driving my kids to school going on a curve about 15 mph, the car shutdown and loss control of power steering and the braking. Findings upon inspection and diagnostics review, it was determined that the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) Module is faulty. This component is critical to vehicle ignition and operation. The failure of the WIN module causes the engine to complete shut down while the vehicle was in motion on the highway. The shutdown resulted in an immediate loss of power steering and power breaking functions, leaving the driver with severely reduced control of the vehicle. Such a malfunction poses a significant safety hazard, as the driver is unable to maintain proper handling or safely maneuver the vehicle during operation. The WIN Module has fail and must be replace immediately. Continued operation without repair could result in repeated engine shutdowns, increasing the risk of a crash or serious injury. Need replace the WIN Module with an OEM or certified equivalent part. Reprogram/ reinitialize the module as per manufacturer specifications. Test drive post-repair to ensure reliability and safety.
I have a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country (Sport Van) that has broken down and will not start. At first we thought it was the battery and then the starter. after replacing both parts that could cause for the van to not start. The problem still wasn't fix. We then had an car service center run a diagnostic check to pin point the issue. The diagnostic code shown Number (p0513). This code described the symptoms the van is having, but not while driving. After learning about the diagnostic code we learned that there was a recall. The summary of the recall is as follow: "Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 Dodge Journey, Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town & Country vehicles manufacturer from August 3, 2009. through June 17, 2010. Some vehicles may experience inadvertent ignition key displacement from the run to accessory position while driving causing the engine to shut off". After reading about the issues with this recall, I immediately contacted 2 separate Chrysler dealerships about the recall and the issue I am having with my 2010 Chrysler Town & Country. Both dealerships told me the same thing, that my van wasn't covered under the recall. I was confused as to why and wanted more answers. I did have the pleasure with speaking to service person by the name given "Ash" at the Chrysler dealership at Whitten Brothers Chrysler Jeep, Midlothian, VA. Who then directed me to contact FCA Chrysler Service Corporation. After contacting Chrysler Corporation I had the pleasure with speaking with (Mina) a customer service representative, which further explained how recalls work. After explaining what happen with my van and the symptoms with no starting and the diagnostic coding shown to why. Mina, recommended that I should contact you guy to look further into my case in hope to grant us a recall and service to our 2010 Chrysler Town & Country that is showing and giving us the same effects listed in Chrysler recall for this year, make, and model. Please consider helping

The headlights went out on me. I confirmed it was not the bulbs. I confirmed it was not the switch. Highbeams work. low beams do not. Further research indicates that this is a very very common problem with the TIPMs totally integrated power module. it is not just a relay or fuse. it is a very expensive part that has a long delay. https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/2010-chrysler-town-country-tipm-16614/

Greetings, June 30, 2023 incident of our van stalling and shutting off while driving. The traction control warning light comes on, van automatically slows down and shuts off. When this happened, unable to steer, no control of brakes or accelerator along with being dangerous. Took vehicle into Midas as they are closest to my work. After testing they determined it was the WIN Module. Since June 30th 2023 to September 10th 2023 this issue happened over a dozen times. Luckily, no one was ever directly behind us and we were able to pull over safely, shut van off, wait one minute and start up again then was fine. The issue always happened while traveling under 30 MPH. I am so grateful we, nor anyone else was injured. Midas informed me back early August 2023 that there was a recall on this exact same module, but recall didn't include our van. I spoke with Russ Darrow Dodge and let them know about our issue and got vehicle in and WIN module replaced on September 12, 2023.
While driving at posted limits, the van will shut off without warning. This has happened 5 times. We have been fortunate that no cars have been following close behind, so we have been able to pull the van off the side of the road, stop and re-start the van. I have had a dealer and another mechanic look at the ignition and attempt to trouble shoot. However, nothing is ever found. This does not happen with any consistency...it is very random.

Electric fire drivers side rear inside, parked in driveway, hadn't been started for 24 hours, no inspection, not sure who to contact, disconnected battery and extinquised fire with water, major melting on inside and paint on outside, lucky we saw what was happening when we did close to fuel tank could have caused explosion
My 2010 Chrysler Town and Country has been showing signs of an electrical issue since I purchased it. It first started with the windshield wipers and the radio coming on and off by itself. As time went on, the vehicle would lose power as I was driving. When I attempted to accelerate, the engine would rev up but the van would continue to lose speed. It continued this way for a while, until eventually it started shutting down. I have to try to get the van on the side of the road before it shuts off and restart it. Most of the time, it will restart and drive like normal. However, it wouldn't restart and had to be taken to a mechanic. At this point, the doors on the van will open and close automatically; including the tailgate. I have kids and I'm worried that the doors will open while I'm driving on the highway. Even worst, I have been in several situations where the car has stalled or shut off without the person behind me knowing I'm having an issue. This has happened in traffic within city limits, and also on the busy highway. This could have led to an accident. Again, I have children and this is very unsafe. Additionally, I've already been through one vehicular electrical fire where I could have died. This is unsafe. The issue is with the control computer (I believe it may be called the ECM); which is located somewhere above the driver's side front tire. I've spent thousands of dollars since purchasing the van in 2016 trying to figure out this issue.
Local chyrsler will not replace parts that have been recalled. I was told when to come in to have the parts replaced. they had the parts. I came in, after 3 hours they told me they had to order the parts. The next morning they emailed they had the parts. I could come in the next day at 2:00,I said ok. Then I received an email an hour later that my appointment was at 9:21 that morning,it was now about 11. I don't have a phone, and my emails were blocked when I tried to contact them. They are giving me the royal run around. Can you help me? Should I just forget the whole matter? Dealer is in Gaylord. ; ;
My A/C Compressor Unit froze up. Tearing my Serpentine Belt. Causing my engine to not run at all. My Driver side window Switch wiring melted. So now my window does not function at all. My vehicle doesn't go over 40mph and no longer shifts properly. Most of my engine wiring has melted. I have replaced the MAP Sensor, but it says there is a problem with the circuit. Also says a problem with the Barometric sensor, which I have yet to find. I had to replace the water pump. My cooling fan has totally stopped working. My key sticks in the ignition. I have replaced the battery and starter. I have also replaced the ignition coil pack, Spark plugs and wires. I thought this may be the reason it was having issues starting, but it still continues. My vehicle will studder or stall out while driving. Causing it to lose power, steering. Sometimes the van just doesn't start. Or it will seem like it wants to start, but it doesn't "fire." Sounding like a starter issue, but the starter has already been replaced
while driving the vehicle will die and when it does it is really hard to control. i am not sure why it shuts off but this is a real hazard.
The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start immediately; however, after several attempts, the vehicle started. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 77 MPH, the vehicle lost electrical power inadvertently. The contact stated that he immediately shifted into neutral (N) and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle responded as needed; however, the failure recurred several times while driving on the same day. The contact stated that he slightly touched the key fob and the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) module needed to be replaced and that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V139000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was then taken to the dealer and the contact was charged a fee to replace Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) module. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 179,000.
