General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2015, 2017 Buick Enclave, 2010-2019 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2011-2016 GMC Acadia vehicles. The side curtain air bags may not be properly attached.
Remedy Status
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, if necessary, realign or replace the weld nuts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 24, 2021. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N202321200.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019 Buick Encore, Chevrolet Spark, Traverse, and Trax vehicles. The Sensing Diagnostic Module (SDM) on these vehicle may not have been turned off of "manufacturing mode," preventing the air bags from deploying in the event of a crash.
Remedy Status
GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the SDM module to the correct mode, free of charge. The recall began November 6, 2018. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300 and Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 18365.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Chevrolet Cruze and Buick LaCrosse, 2018-2020 Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain, 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, 2019-2020 Buick Encore, Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Acadia, and 2020 Cadillac XT6 vehicles. The start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing bolts.
Remedy Status
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267, Buick Customer service at 1-866-608-8080, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is N202313440.

Vehicle: 2019 Chevrolet Traverse Issue: “Shift to Park” warning – vehicle fails to recognize it is in Park I am filing a complaint regarding a persistent &dangerous defect with my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse involving the “Shift to Park” warning system. For the past several years, my vehicle has repeatedly failed to recognize that it is in Park, even when it clearly is. This issue has escalated into a serious safety and reliability concern. Most recently, I was stranded in a store parking lot for over two hours because my vehicle would not properly shut off or restart due to the false “Shift to Park” warning. I had to call someone to disconnect the battery to prevent it from draining completely, which caused additional cost and inconvenience. After reconnecting the battery, the vehicle still would not start for another 2hours. This defect leaves me at risk of being stranded at any time, including in unsafe or isolated. As a single parent of 4 young children, this creates a significant safety concern for my family. This problem has been ongoing since Oct 2023 and has occurred repeatedly since then, and consistently every month since then, often four or more times per month. I have brought this issue to a Chevrolet dealership, Reed-Lallier Chevrolet in Fayetteville, NC, multiple times. Despite being charged diagnostic fees, no permanent fix has been provided. This is a known issue with this vehicle model related to a faulty shifter assembly or park detection system. This defect impacts the vehicle’s ability to shut off, restart, & function reliably, creating a serious safety hazard. I am requesting that this issue be formally investigated & that appropriate action be taken to require a recall or manufacturer-covered repair. This problem is widespread among similar vehicles & should not continue to leave drivers stranded or at risk. The car started locking up my steering wheel. I took it to the mechanic and they ran the codes and said it is the ABS control system module. I called the dealer to get the part and they said it is on back order nationally and it may be months before they can get the part. The 2018 model for Chevrolet traverse has been recalled for this exact thing but my model has not even though this is a known issue. My car is currently not drive able and GM can’t even provide the piece to make it driveable. This is a big issue and I am not receiving any help. If it is on back order it is obvious that it is a big issue nationally yet they have not submitted a recall. The wheel keeps locking up every time I drive it for more than 5 minutes
Having issues with transmission at 68000 miles. Shuddering and cutting out. Shift to park comes on and also replaced alternator twice already. Replaced 1st alternator at less than 20,000 miles at 2 years old.

The dealer determined that the front lower control arms and the front suspension sway bar links needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
Recall number N192211320 ( Left Front Lower Control Arm Ball Joint Not Seated ) Chevrolet is refusing to fix this issue, saying that it's not a safety recall. This issue can effect the steering control and its very evident thats its a safety issue. They're saying this recall expires with the base warranty. This is a clear attempt to circumvent the law, by not classifying this as a safety issue.

When placing the vehicle in park, whether it’s on a flat surface or an incline, the SHIFT TO PARK notification displays. In addition, the nonfiction chime rings consistently until the gear shift is realigned or until it stops on its own. During this ringing period the headlights won’t go off and the ringing last anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. The longest time recorded was 20 minutes. Once the ringing finalizes, there is still a possibility that the start/stop button has to be pressed manually so the headlights will completely turn off.
Complete transmission failure while driving approximately 60 MPH. Transmission started shifting irregularly while driving at a steady speed on a 55 MPH paved county road and locked into 3rd gear slowing me down quite suddenly. I turned on my emergency flashers and pulled into a parking lot. If traffic had been heavy I could easily have been hit from behind for unexpected deceleration with no brakes applied and no brake lights to warn a following vehicle. There were no dash warning on even after stopping. The vehicle has 111,000 miles on it and has been used to tow loads rarely, and the loads were far below the 5000 lb rating of the vehicle. Because it is well past the 75,000 mile power-train warranty (I bought it used) I am having to pay nearly $9,000 for a remanufactured transmission replacement at my local dealership. This is a major financial burden to me for a repair something that should last well beyond 200,000 miles as transmission typically do. I have owned several vehicles that have.
i have a 2019 chevy traverse i bouth it 2020 /9/11 2020 i have had problems scense then i right now havb to buy a transmission GMC had me to take it to a chevy dealer and ask for some coast asistant they would not so they baclk out now i am about to sue
MY CAR WAS ACTING LIKE IT HAD BAD GAS. I TOOK TO T HE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD IT FOR DAYS AND SAID TRANSMISSION. I AM AT 45,000 MILES ON THIS CAR. THEY HAD MY CAR IN LAST MONTH AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT OR SO THEY SAID. YOU DID SAY THERE WAS A RECALL/PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION ON THE 2017 2018 AND 2019 TRAVERSE. IS MINE COVERED TO BE FIXED?

faulty transmission shudder
I am on my 2nd transmission, 2 torque converters, have had the transmission fluid flushed 4 -6 times, and it still shudders horribly bad and only has 136,000 miles. I bought it brand new, never been wrecked or abused. I cant get extended warranties because it is a known issue and they dont want to cover it. This needs to be a recall.

The vehicle was taken to Kenny Wilson Transmission, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the transmission throttle had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000.
